Seattle has a commission on refugees and immigrants, November meeting coming up

A reader has brought to my attention that there are opportunities for concerned citizens to attend meetings where you can learn more about what is going on where you live and who the principle players are (who are the people in your community calling the shots).
No rent hikes!  What do you think?  Are they getting community organizing training somewhere? You betcha!

See our post last year where Somali community organizers protested an effort by the Seattle housing authority to free up some public housing for 9,000 on a waiting list. The housing authority failed. https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2014/12/19/seattle-housing-crisis-pay-attention-refugee-welcoming-cities/

In Seattle there is the Immigrant and Refugee Commission.  Here is the meeting schedule for the two remaining meetings this year.  Surely they will be discussing how many Syrians will be seeded in Seattle.
In the last few days we reported on opportunities here in Orlando, FL (one of our readers attended!  thank you!) and here in Minneapolis, MN to attend PUBLIC meetings to learn more about what is happening where you live.  To be effective in standing up for your community, you need to understand how refugee resettlement works and who the players are where you live.

Calling all American refugee do-gooders—see how real Christian charity is done!

This is a message to all of you working for American resettlement contractors pretending to be Christian charities.

UN refugee camp Jordan
Largest UN camp in Jordan (where the US gets many of its refugees): “The camps are dangerous because they have ISIS, Iraqi militias and Syrian militias. It’s another place for gangs. They’re killing inside the camps, and they’re buying and selling ladies and even girls.” Photo: http://learningenglish.voanews.com/content/refugee-camp-in-jordan-is-biggest-in-middle-east/2902262.html

It is easy to bring Muslim refugees to America while pretending to be Christian charities preaching from your cushy offices in New York, Baltimore and Washington, DC—that means you—US Conference of Catholic Bishops, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, World Relief (Evangelicals), Episcopal Migration Ministries, and Church World Service!

It is easy for you ‘religious’ refugee resettlement contractors to bully local communities into accepting refugees with appeals to their Christian charitable spirits, but this is a story about real Christian charity.

(By the way, don’t fall for the idea that these resettlement contractors are working to bring Muslim refugees to Christ when they get them to your towns. They are strictly forbidden to preach to Muslim refugees, or any refugees, when taking government money, see here.)

Christian Aid Mission goes to the Middle East and helps refugees where they are with material needs and at the same time brings some to Christ.

The article at Christian Headlines (hat tip: Joanne), begins by confirming something we knew—that UN camps are full of terrorists and criminals (and that is where we are getting most of our refugees for your towns).

Syrian militants are among refugees fleeing to other countries, and they don’t leave their Islamic extremist practices behind. They have brought brutality and a culture of fear into some refugee camps, the director of a ministry in the Middle East said.

In United Nations camps in Jordan, Islamist gangs bring the same practices that refugees have fled: coercion to join terrorist groups such as the Islamic State (ISIS), conflict between militias on both sides of the civil war and the criminal buying and selling of females as sex slaves.

Then get this!

Reaching any Middle Eastern Muslim, much less one associated with ISIS, with the gospel is a delicate, gradual process, and the ministry’s 32 full-time workers and 400 volunteers throughout the region are trained to initiate relationships, answer doubts, share the good news of Christ’s salvation and develop disciples.

One member of ISIS from northern Syria came to visit his relatives who had fled to Jordan because he had heard Christians were providing them aid, the director said. He intended to kill the Christian workers providing aid to his relatives, who were not living in a refugee camp. After hearing the gospel and witnessing the love of the Christians, he put his trust in Christ.

“He first saw how Islam brainwashed him about Christianity, and how that contrasted with the reality of what he saw in the Christians,” the director said. “And we’re talking about an area of Jordan that has three Salafist [a strict, fundamentalist branch of Sunni Islam] mosques. They raise up people to go and fight.”

Iraqi interpreters given refugee status, not pure as the driven snow

I often hear people say, that although they have problems with the refugee resettlement program, they do think we should be admitting the Iraqi interpreters and others who “helped us in Iraq.”   But, guess what, some of them lie.

Jasim Ramadon
Poster boy for Iraqis who helped Americans! Jasim Ramadon doing 28 years to life for brutal rape. Why didn’t we just deport him to Iraq and save ourselves what probably will amount to hundreds of thousands of tax dollars to keep him incarcerated.

Here is a case just brought to our attention by Creeping Sharia—former interpreter who was living the ‘good life’ in Texas was found to be connected to ISIS.  You can read the whole sorry tale here at Creeping Sharia.
You can read about Special Immigrant Visas here (it was another contribution to America by the now dead Senator Ted Kennedy who added it in the dark of night to a Defense Authorization bill in 2008).
Colorado rape case:
I’m reminded of the Colorado rape case which Diana West so thoroughly discussed here and which I always bring to the attention of listeners when I speak or do skype presentations.  This man who “helped” Americans (before brutally raping a Colorado woman) was even featured on the Oprah Winfrey show (see here)!

Ramadon, Hendrex (the Sargent who helped Ramadon get in to the US)  and other members of Dragon Company appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show in September 2004. While there, Ramadon met John Travolta, one of his heroes.

Ramadon was ultimately convicted and sentenced (in 2014) to 28 years to life, here for a rape described as one of the most brutal in Colorado history. Lucky taxpayers—you get to pay for his prison term.
In a quick look at our archives I see we posted on an Afghan interpreter admitted to the US as a SIV holder who allegedly ripped off our generous welfare system, here.
My job is to balance the news!  For every warm and fuzzy refugee-contributes-to-America story, I’ll find you a Ramadon or an Abood (the TX ISIS lover), or a Hayatullah.  The lesson is that we don’t, and can’t, screen them thoroughly.

MN Governor Dayton: Don't like immigrants, get out of Minnesota!

Update:  A reader just sent me another story on the Governor’s demand to get out, here.
Earlier this week, in St. Cloud, MN, the Democrat Governor of the State—Mark Dayton***—made it pretty clear to those who have been questioning the mass importation of Somali refugees to the state—too bad for you, find another place to live.

Gov. Mark Dayton: If you don’t like our Somali refugees, get out of Minnesota because they are here to stay! How much does BIG MEAT (the meatpackers) contribute to Dayton (just wondering)? Race-baiting is the distraction, follow the money!

Oh, and following on the point I’ve been making over the last few days, here, here and here, the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) was there.  As I said, CAIR is now taking an up front position on more refugee resettlement (and you can be sure it isn’t the Syrian Christians they are worried about!).
My guess is that CAIR was hoping the whole concept of the Hijra (Mohammed’s demand that Muslims migrate as a form of jihad) would not be out in the open and that we wouldn’t notice until it was too late, but we have.  So now they are openly pushing refugee resettlement.
From the Daily Globe  (thanks to all who sent it):

St. CLOUD — Harsh words and heartfelt sentiment were exchanged by community members and local officials on racial issues in Central Minnesota at the St. Cloud NAACP Community Conversation with Gov. Mark Dayton. [I don’t get it, doesn’t the NAACP know that all the migrants are taking jobs that African Americans need?—ed]

Hosted Tuesday at St. Cloud Public Library, about 100 people from diverse backgrounds gathered to ask questions of St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis, St. Cloud Police Chief Blair Anderson, State Rep. Jim Knoblach, Minnesota Human Rights Commissioner Kevin Lindsey, Council on Black Minnesotans Community Program Specialist Kolloh Nimley and St. Cloud AFYA Pharmacy co-owner Dr. Edris Kosar.

From the start of the event, Dayton bluntly stated his opinions on the racial tension in St. Cloud and across the state in regards to immigration.

“Look around you. This is Minnesota,” Dayton said. “Minnesota is not like it was 30, 50 years ago. … This is Minnesota and you have every right to be here. And anybody who cannot accept your right to be here, and this is Minnesota, should find another state.”

Dayton said he was aware of some of the racial issues happening in the St. Cloud area and urged participants to take a stand against what he described as “unacceptable, un-Minnesotan, illegal and immoral” behavior.

“If you are that intolerant, if you are that much of a racist or a bigot, then find another state. Find a state where the minority population is 1 percent or whatever. It’s not that in Minnesota. It’s not going to be again. It’s not going to be that in St. Cloud, or Rochester or Worthington,” Dayton said.

CAIR was there!

Another audience member took issue with the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, accusing the organization of being supported by terrorists.

CAIR Minnesota Executive Director Jaylani Hussein, who had previously addressed the crowd on his concerns on racial tension said his organization is not affiliated with terrorist groups.

Changing the subject slightly!

Find out what health problems refugees are bringing to Minnesota!

Metro Refugee Health Task Force, here.  “Medically complex cases” entering Minnesota!
Some of you involved in the resistance in the state should attend these important meetings (next one is Nov. 3).  Follow the links, but here is what they say about the September meeting and what was discussed (remember you are paying for all of this!):

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Refugee and International Health Program (RIHP) staff presented on the latest refugee arrival  and health screening data; medically complex cases; special projects and community engagement; and emerging health issues.

I contend that if more Americans knew how much disease/parasites etc. were coming in with refugees they would be shocked into action—likely fearing disease more than Islamic terrorists!
***Interesting, Dayton’s first wife was one of the Rockefeller family heiresses.  Is that how he got his political start?

White House petitioner, who wants 65,000 Syrians admitted to US, invited to secret meeting

I told you about this White House petition here, and I know that the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants and possibly the International Rescue Committee (two federal resettlement contractors) were initially involved, or I wouldn’t have mentioned USCRI (their affiliation with the petition must have been removed) in my original post.

George Batah
Syrian (immigration status unknown) George Batah gets invited to White House but prohibited from saying who he met with there.

However, now we are told that it was one Syrian immigrant guy from Chicago, one stalwart young activist, who single-handedly came up with the idea and succeeded in getting over 100,000 signatures.
Of course all of those open borders activists who signed the petition have been identified by the White House as potential future allies for the Democrat party.
And, as a secondary benefit, the resettlement contractors and others pushing for more (mostly Muslim) Syrians to enter the US get a news hook (and more media pressure for Obama to raise the number of refugees to be admitted).
Here is the Huffington Post reporting on young George Batah:

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration has responded to a petition calling on the U.S. to resettle tens of thousands of Syrian refugees within its borders, inviting the man who started the petition to the White House for a meeting.

George Batah, 23, came from Syria in 2013 and now lives in Chicago. He said he started the petition in late August because he felt the United States has a moral obligation to continue being “the leader in refugee resettlement.”   [What is young George’s immigration status? It doesn’t say he is a refugee.—ed]

His petition asked the White House to accept at least 65,000 Syrian refugees by 2016. The administration did not commit to that number in its response Thursday, instead reiterating that it intends to bring at least 10,000.

[….]

Batah told The Huffington Post Thursday that while he was pleased to see the administration’s response, he intends to keep pushing officials to take more refugees.

“Ten thousand by 2016 is very meaningful, because 10,000 people’s lives would be saved,” Batah said. “But at the same time, I feel that a country like the U.S., with its resources, can contribute more in terms of the number.”

[How many readers here are infuriated that young George (here since 2013 with immigration status unknown) “feels” that you can spend more of your hard-earned tax dollars on Syrians running from THEIR civil war?—ed]

Why the secrecy?

After Batah started his petition, administration officials invited him to the White House for a meeting in mid-September. He met with staff members from the National Security Council and other departments, but said he wasn’t allowed to disclose exactly who was there.

“When we met, they clearly cared about the issue and wanted to help address the crisis overall,” Batah said. “I’m not in politics, it’s not my strength, but I felt they genuinely care about it.”

Now young George (“not in politics”) wants to start more petitions to get US mayors to ask for more Syrian refugees for your towns and cities.

Readers, beware of signing any petitions at Change.org!

Batah said he is continuing his activism on the issue, recently working with Change.org to encourage people to start petitions calling on their mayors to welcome more refugees.

Grrrr!
Don’t forget to help ACT pound those 18 mayors who have been demanding Obama admit 100,000 Syrians, here.
