Laura Ingraham Talks with Stephen Miller: Afghan ‘Refugees’ Should be Resettled in Middle East

America does not owe permanent residency and citizenship to tens (hundreds!) of thousands of Afghans!

And, as Miller says, how do you screen for security when the entire apparatus of government is controlled by the Taliban?

See The Ingraham Angle interview from last night. Begin watching at about 22:36, hat tip Brenda.

This is about changing America by changing the people!

If you missed it, see my post yesterday….

Even Trump Wants to ‘Welcome’ Tens of Thousands of Refugees—the Afghans!

Tens of thousands already here!

Most people do not understand (and the media doesn’t tell us) that we have already admitted tens of thousands of Afghan supposed helpers as I pointed out here in 2019.  It is a good thing I took a screenshot of the data because it seems to be missing now from the State Department’s Refugee Processing Center.

Laura Ingraham: With Americans Increasingly Jobless, Where is the Moratorium on Immigration?

Yes indeed!

Are we just bringing in more people every day who will be unemployed for the foreseeable future, sure looks like it.

Supposedly the UN is stopping the flow of refugees worldwide (the UN controls the spigot), but so far we are still ‘welcoming’ more impoverished people to America even in the last few days.

See my latest on the numbers here:

UN Says the Refugee Flow has Stopped, Yet US Admits 182 Since Monday!

Here is John Binder at Breitbart reporting on Ingraham’s sensible demand:

Laura Ingraham: Halt All Immigration to U.S. During Coronavirus Crisis

Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham says the United States should halt all immigration during the coronavirus crisis.

Ingraham: Where is the moratorium?

On Wednesday, State Department officials confirmed to Breitbart News that the refugee resettlement program — which has resettled nearly 2,500 refugees in the last six weeks — would be suspended until at least April 7.

Likewise, a State Department official told Reuters that most visa services through the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) agency would be suspended until further notice, though federal immigration officials have yet to clarify which visa programs will continue to bring foreign nationals to the U.S.

Ingraham suggested in a post online that the Trump administration should implement an immigration moratorium while trying to stop the coronavirus outbreak and as millions of Americans are forced to stay home from work. Many of those workers rely on hourly minimum wages and tips.

“All immigration to the US should be halted due to this national emergency — we sure as heck don’t need any foreign workers with millions of Americans on verge of losing their jobs,” Ingraham wrote, along with “#AmericaFirst.”

Editor’s note:  As RRW approaches its 13th birthday, there are over 10,000 posts archived here at Refugee Resettlement Watch. Unfortunately, it is just me here with no staff and so it has become virtually impossible to answer all of the basic questions that come into my e-mail inbox or to RRW’s facebook page every day. I don’t want to appear rude—I simply haven’t enough hours in the day.

Please take time to visit RRW (don’t just read posts in your e-mail) and use the search window in the right hand sidebar and see if you can find the information you need.  Also see my series that I wrote in recent months entitled Knowledge is Power which explains some basic principles of how Refugee Resettlement is carried out in the US.

And, lastly, I don’t write that much every day, so if you made a habit of reading my posts here on a daily basis, you would eventually catch on to what is happening because I do link back to previous posts as much as possible. LOL!  Thank you for helping me not go crazy!

How many more Ohio States before House Republicans move Rep. Babin's bill?

Yesterday, Rep. Brian Babin (R-TX) went on Laura Ingraham’s radio program, and Julia Hahn at Breitbart tells us what happened.

brian-babin
Rep. Brian Babin (No fear!)

Regular readers here know that a freshman representative was the only Member of Congress in 2015 with the foresight and the nerve to introduce legislation to pause the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program when he introduced his bill HR 3314—Resettlement Accountability National Security Act of 2015.  (Click here to learn more and see the bill’s 86 co-sponsors)
Is your member of Congress one of the 86 (!) co-sponsors who signed on in 2015. If so, make sure you thank him or her and insist they do more!
Before I get to the interview with Ingraham, know this:
A bill proceeds in Congress with a first step—a committee of jurisdiction holds a  hearing.  Why did HR 3314 NEVER get a hearing?  Because House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte and Immigration subcommittee Chairman Trey Gowdy never gave it one.
Why did they not give it a hearing? Because Speaker Paul Ryan didn’t want a hearing on it! Then he blocked it by pushing a mealy-mouthed bill later.
And, now, as we have had one more terrorist incident involving a refugee, the bill will die with this Congress.
***Update*** More: Ryan silent on latest terror attack, here.

Trump test! How soon will Anne Richard go?

Trump’s big test is coming soon, he has the legal authority to pause the program without Congress, so what will Ryan do then (what is he already doing behind the scenes?).  So much depends on who Trump puts in place at Health and Human Services (his pick Rep. Tom Price is not a cosponsor of HR 3314, why?).  Who will be Secretary of State?
And, then readers, the biggest test of all will be how quickly he and his cabinet heads replace Anne Richard at the Dept. of State (Asst. Sec. of State for Population, Refugees and Migration) and Bob Carey at the Office of Refugee Resettlement (HHS), and with whom they are replaced!  We will be watching!
Here is Hahn at Breitbart:

Congressman Brian Babin (R-TX) is calling for a total suspension of the controversial refugee resettlement program following the attack of young Americans at Ohio State University carried out by a Somali refugee.

“Our refugee program has basically become a Trojan Horse,” Babin said in a Thursday radio interview with nationally-syndicated host Laura Ingraham.

“We have to take a step back and reevaluate our asylum policies that are absolutely getting Americans killed for politically correct reasons,” Babin explained, adding that the Ohio State University refugee attack “comes on the heels of another Somali refugee stabbing in Minnesota” that took place in September.

“The threat is growing. It’s time for us to wake up,” Babin added. “We’ve got to look no further than Western Europe to see the results of what happens when you have… unchecked and completely overwhelming refugee numbers.”

Continue reading and be reminded of how the House leadership has thwarted Babin’s efforts.
Trip down memory lane!  Laura Ingraham called for a MORATORIUM ON MUSLIM IMMIGRATION years ago, see here.

Making our list, checking it twice: Pro-Open Borders, anti-Trump Republicans

Last night, after the debate, I wanted to reach through the TV and slap Megyn Kelly silly.  She couldn’t let go of Donald Trump’s dirty words and at one point she was soundly put in her place by Laura Ingraham. (Too rushed this morning to look for the clip).

ingraham-300x197
Talk show host and Fox news contributor, Laura Ingraham, let Megyn Kelly have it last night! It’s about the issues, stupid!

But, here is the gist of it.  Miss Megyn, as we know pure as the driven snow (Ha!), tries to get Ingraham to agree with her about how offended she is about Trump’s language, and Laura will have none of it.
Ingraham said what mattered to her were immigration, trade, and jobs for Americans and that Donald Trump was the only candidate who shared her concerns. (Take that snow white!).
There is no getting away from it.  The sitting Members of Congress, US Senators and Governors who are opposing Donald Trump are not on our side on immigration.
LOL! Someone recommended this test:

See if they would support the ticket if magically Trump was removed at the top and Senator Jeff Sessions took his place. (Not a chance in hell they would support him either!)

So to repeat my list of the other day and add some others people have sent in, here (below) is the list of Republicans who oppose Donald Trump and by extension oppose limiting immigration, closing our borders, and stemming the tide of questionable refugees from Muslim countries.  This is RRW’s enemies list (because only one issue matters to me!).
(This is not an all inclusive list, I believe there are others we haven’t identified.  Also, I am not sure Speaker Paul Ryan or Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell have made a complete break from Trump yet.  Please let me know who I am missing. CNN was flashing their photos on the screen this morning.)

By opposing Trump, these gutless Republicans signal their support of Hillary’s position on open borders and more refugees for your towns:

Update: Speaker Paul Ryan joins the pack.

Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.)

Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley (R)

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah)

Utah Gov. Gary Herbert

Rep. Frank Lo Biondo (R-N.J.)

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Ak.)

Rep. Tom Rooney (R-Fla.)

Rep. Bradley Byrne (R-Ala)

Rep. Mike Coffman (R-Colo)

Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-Va.)

Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho)

Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Mo)

South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Az.)

Rep. Jeff Fortenberry (R-Neb.)

Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo)

Rep. Joe Heck (R-Nev)

Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.)

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah)

Rep. Martha Roby (R-Ala)

Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.):

Rep. Chris Stewart (R-Utah)

Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Ak)

Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.)

Rep. Mia Love (R-UT)

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)

Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH)

Ohio Governor John Kasich

Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam

Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) (her face was on CNN’s anti-Trump list this a.m.)

By the way, in 2013 Ingraham was way ahead of most of us and called for a complete MORATORIUM on Muslim immigration to America. Ingraham understands, unlike these RINOs, that Hillary in the White House means America becomes Europe!
If you have additions for my enemies list (or you want to inform me that someone above has come to a better mind after the debate and now supports Trump), let me know later in the day because unfortunately I will soon be dashing to the dentist!

Maine governor working to stem the flow of welfare to migrants/asylum seekers

We have written about this Maine problem with the flood of migrants into the state—some are resettled refugees, but others are asylum seekers who have flocked there to enjoy the generosity of Maine’s social service programs while waiting out the legal asylum process.  (See my discussion of asylum in an earlier post this morning.)
Here is the latest news, from LifeZette (subheading:  Immigrants immediately eligible for welfare, displacing seniors and the needy):

Maine’s Somali community is adding more diversity to the state — and huge new costs, according to a top state official.

Mayhew
Health and Human Services Commissioner Mary Mayhew was on the Laura Ingraham show. Flood of migrants impacting Maine elderly.

Maine’s huge number of refugees and asylum-seekers are heavy welfare users and are putting significant economic strain on the state, Health and Human Services Commissioner Mary Mayhew.

Speaking on “The Laura Ingraham Show,” Mayhew rejected an argument by a local media outlet that the state’s Somali community could be Maine’s savior.

“Overall, we have seen an increased burden to the infrastructure and the welfare programs in the face of other significant competing priorities for this state, especially related to our rapidly aging population, our elderly,” she said.

Maine has been a popular destination for refugees in recent years, mostly from Somalia and other African countries. Lewiston and Portland have taken the most, with Lewiston’s mayor recently speaking out about the fiscal impact on his city.

[….]

Maine Gov. Paul LePage has led a drive to reform social welfare programs for refugees and citizens alike. Since taking office, food stamp use is down by 58,000 people. Fewer people are on Medicaid, as well, Mayhew said.

Here is a great idea for your state!

Mayhew noted that a new work requirement for food stamps for able-bodied people between the ages of 18 and 49 with no children — which included an option of volunteering just one hour a day — knocked many off the program for failure to comply.

[….]

Mayhew said LePage has fought against granting welfare benefits to illegal immigrants who have applied for asylum.

More here.
Is your state giving welfare benefits to asylum seekers?  At the federal level that is prohibited.
We have a huge archive on Maine, click here to learn more.  See especially a 2009 post we wrote about how Somalis initially found Maine’s generous welfare system and headed in droves to Lewiston.
