Was “man” Who Slaughtered Teen in North Dakota a Refugee?

That is the question I’ve had more than once in the last couple of days.

If you don’t know what happened see my post yesterday at ‘Frauds and Crooks’ here:

Fargo, North Dakota: “Man” Attacks Skateboarder in Deadly Knife Assault

You will see that I put the word “man” in quotes  and that is because that is what the media does, use the word man, when the alleged killer, rapist or criminal is of a race or nationality that doesn’t fit the corporate media message that diversity is beautiful.

But, I can’t always fault reporters who don’t dig deeper because frankly unless the man accused of a crime mentions his immigration status (often as part of his defense) there is almost no way for citizens to know if someone is here via the US Refugee Admissions Program, Temporary Protected Status, Special Immigrant Visa, the Green Card Lottery, as an Unaccompanied Alien Child, or on a worker visa, and the list goes on.

Or, is the perp a run-of-the mill border jumper or did he overstay a visa and just disappear into America?

The Trump Administration ended our ability to learn more about the refugees coming to your towns and cities.

For years we could at least make an educated guess if a criminal in the news was a refugee.

We could narrow the field because the US State Department had a data clearinghouse where we could see what nationalities refugees were and where they were being placed right down to the city in which they were resettled.

Limited information is available, but that extensive data is no longer accessible to the public.

By the way, as for the creep in North Dakota, Heavy says there is no information on where he is from (I guessed Liberia in my post):

According to police, Kollie did not have a permanent address and information about his family and other details of his background were not immediately available.

I’m thinking that the average American, not an immigration policy wonk like you and me, doesn’t care which “program” admitted the criminal, most people just want less of them admitted.

However, if we are ever going to improve immigration in America we need to know where the holes are where criminals, terrorists and the mentally ill and others who just want to suck off the US taxpayers are getting through the system and arriving in places like Fargo, North Dakota.

I’m dreaming!

I’ve said this before, but how about a federal law that requires all law enforcement to publish the immigration status of any criminal charged with a felony?  And, not just whether they are legally here or not, but through which route they came to be living in the community where they have committed a serious crime.

Back to my headline question….

The Leftwing media (even law enforcement) expects us to stay silent when they keep quiet about the immigration status of a criminal.

I will bet law enforcement in Fargo knows Kollie’s status and maybe an enterprising local reporter will unearth the information. He could, after all, be a born and bred African-American.

But, as long as no one is confirming if Kollie is a refugee (or not a refugee) from West Africa, then go ahead and call him a refugee!

After all, everyone is a refugee these days!

I am referring to the Leftwing propagandists and all of the political leaders here and around the world who have used the refugee label to put a positive spin on anyone on the move for any reason anywhere.

If we call all the evil doers refugees, then maybe, just maybe, the need for clarity in the use of the word will dawn on them!

Temporary Ebola 'refugees' to be sent back to Africa (maybe)

I recently reported on our ‘Temporary Protected Status‘ program which allows migrants who got in to the US through some other means to legally stay if some big catastrophe happens in their home country while they are here (sometimes illegally!).  As I write, demonstrations are being held around the US in an effort to keep Haitians here, but another TPS designation is about to expire and that is the one for Ebola ‘refugees’ from the Obama 2014 TPS designation.
Here is the news from AP at US News:

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Hundreds of people living in Minnesota are expected to lose the temporary immigration status they were given when the Ebola epidemic hit three West African countries three years ago.

Ebola epicenter. BTW, we allowed Liberians to stay here for years and years under another TPS designation when they had a civil war. My question is this: why are civil wars around the world our problem?

The Homeland Security Department granted temporary protected status to about 5,000 West Africans in 2014, allowing residents from the most impacted countries to live and work in the U.S. legally until the outbreak was contained, Minnesota Public Radio reported (http://bit.ly/2pSGWom ).

In 2016, the countries were declared Ebola-free. The temporary immigration status was originally issued for an 18-month period, but it got two six-month extensions, with the last one ending this Sunday.

Advocates say Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone are still recovering from the outbreak, so it’s not safe to go home yet.

But others say programs designed to be temporary should end.

I will be shocked if the Trump Administration actually sends these fake refugees back to Africa.  This program is one of the most abused of our LEGAL immigration programs!

Official application for Temporary Protected Status filed for West African Ebola countries

The next time one of your friends (or a politician) says, ‘I oppose illegal immigration, but am all for LEGAL immigration’ tell them they don’t know what they are talking about!   Legal immigration has been so perverted by federal programs such as Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to make the word legal meaningless.

Once TPS is granted for a country, those here from that country NEVER go home.  It is NOT temporary.

(Obama had already signed a short delay in the departure of West Africans, here.)

Not unexpectedly, however, an official request has been filed with the White House for a TPS (temporary refugee!) designation for citizens of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone which means that anyone in the US now (legally or illegally) from those three countries will not be required to leave.

The Ebola crisis could end next month and those granted TPS will be here for life (waiting for amnesty of course).

From Front Page Africa:

In Boston, Liberian human rights activist, Rev. Torli H. Krua said western countries must stop Ebola hysteria and save West Africans.

Boston, Massachusett – YOUNG-Africa Inc. on November 3, 2014 filed a petition seeking temporary protection for citizens of Ebola ravaged West African countries of Guinea, Liberia & Sierra Leone stranded in the United States. The petition filed at the White House, Washington, DC. called on President Barack Obama to immediately designate Guinea, Liberia & Sierra Leone as countries appropriate for Temporary Protected Status (TPS/DED).

The petition comes at a time when the Northeast United States experienced its first snowstorm that threatened the lives of individuals and families without adequate access to food, winter clothing and shelter.

Consistent with humanitarian norms of civilized societies, TPS/DED is a provision of the Immigration Act of 1990 (IMMACT), P.L. 101-649, established by the United States Congress to provide temporary work permits for immigrants in the United States who are temporarily unable to return to their home country because of ongoing armed conflict, an environmental disaster, or extraordinary and temporary conditions. Countries currently designated for TPS include: Syria, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Haiti.

Clearly, the worst Ebola epidemic in the world ravaging West Africa and the impending harsh winter weather present a clear and present danger for West Africans stranded in America because of Ebola making the designation of TPS/DED a necessity. Speaking in Boston, Massachusetts on the occasion of the filing of the petition for TPS/DED, Liberian human rights activist, Rev. Torli H. Krua frowned on ignorant politicians who fan the flames of fear and discrimination by ignoring scientific facts about Ebola. “Rising Ebola fear, discrimination and hysteria sweeping across western countries are unnecessary, unjustifiable and counterproductive in the battle against Ebola.

By the way, Liberians already on TPS were supposed to be deported long ago, but politicians like Senator Jack Reed of Rhode Island, responding to pressure from Liberian lobbyists, keep them here with continued legal maneuvering.  A new TPS designation now, due to fears that they will get Ebola if they go HOME, will give them the reprieve for years to come (as they wait for amnesty).

For more on TPS, see our archives here.  Those on TPS are considered temporary refugees and can work, get drivers licenses, and receive benefits just like other refugees.  The only thing they can’t do is vote, and they are probably doing that anyway!

Feds won’t say if Ebola patient is Liberian national

But, the Liberian community of Dallas apparently thinks so.

Update October 2:  See Center for Immigration Studies on the Liberian Ebola patient—a visa mistake!

Let’s send in Senator Jack Reed, Liberian defender par excellence to tell us the full story.

Reed was thrilled recently to get Obama to once again extend Temporary Protected Status for Liberians in America who were given TEMPORARY  refugee status here over a decade ago for a civil war that ended in 2003 and who should have been sent back to Liberia by now.   Kind of crazy that they can stay here longer due to Ebola back “home,” but it seems that we let their fellow Liberians just fly in for visits from West Africa?

Can you imagine what the medical treatment of this visitor is going to cost American taxpayers!

Liberian Stanley Gaye of the Liberian Community Association of Dallas-Fort Worth wants to know more about Ebola patient believed to be Liberian national. Photo: http://www.christianchronicle.org/article/liberians-join-texas-congregation-in-prayer-for-doctor-church-member-battling-ebola

See Breitbart for the AP story:

DALLAS (AP) — The first case of Ebola diagnosed in the U.S. has been confirmed in a man who recently traveled from Liberia to Dallas, sending chills through the area’s West African community whose leaders urged caution to prevent spreading the virus.

The unidentified man was critically ill and has been in isolation at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital since Sunday, federal health officials said Tuesday. They would not reveal his nationality or age. [Political correctness completely run amok!–ed]

[….]

Stanley Gaye, president of the Liberian Community Association of Dallas-Fort Worth, said the 10,000-strong Liberian population in North Texas is skeptical of the CDC’s assurances because Ebola has ravaged their country.

“We’ve been telling people to try to stay away from social gatherings,” Gaye said at a community meeting Tuesday evening. Large get-togethers are a prominent part of Liberian culture.

“We need to know who it is so that they (family members) can all go get tested,” Gaye told The Associated Press. “If they are aware, they should let us know.”

There is more…..

See our health issues category for more on the diseases and other illnesses being brought into the country through the refugee program.

Liberians can thank Ebola (and Senator Jack Reed) for extended stay in the US

Temporary Protected Status for Liberians should have ended years ago, but now, thanks to Ebola, they will get a reprieve and stay for what will amount to another decade or forever.

I wasn’t going to post this story (I mentioned the possibility of the Ebola excuse, here already) until several readers sent it to me and I had some time to read some of the comments.  People are generally becoming more educated (and disgusted) by these LEGAL immigration programs and loopholes.

Rhode Island Democrat Senator Jack Reed is the champion of Liberians in America. As commenter Pete F. suggests below, find his home address and pass it out to Liberians telling them that is where they can be housed and fed.

From Yahoo News:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Liberian immigrants living in the United States without a visa won’t be sent back to the epicenter of Ebola crisis in West Africa for at least another two years, the Obama administration said Friday.

President Barack Obama signed a memo extending a legal protection called “deferred enforced departure” that continues a protection from deportation that has been in place for more than a decade.

The government first granted Liberians temporary protective status during that country’s bloody civil war, which started in 1991 and ended in 2003.

That original protection expired in October 2007. President George W. Bush then approved deferred enforced departure for the community.

Senator Jack Reed of Rhode Island continues to be the champion of Liberian migrants in America. We have written several posts on Senator Reed and Liberians over the years, here.

Comments that caught my eye—but there are about 90 more….

Here is one from Kolchak:

Sweet! This provides a huge incentive for Liberians to escape their country, get smuggled into the US and then claim they’ve been here for long enough to avoid being deported if they get caught. Paid ‘witnesses’ will vouch for them.

We’d better just hope none of them are sick.

Oh, I forgot to mention, most of them will be allowed to stay indefinitely. (This will be done by executive order late on a Friday afternoon when nobody is paying attention.) Those who become citizens will be reminded the Obama saved their lives and thus they are to be Democratic voters for life.  [I don’t think they have to wait to become citizens to vote, I bet they are already voting!—ed]

Patti:

Obama won’t send Liberians back for fear they might catch Ebola, but he’ll send 3,000 American soldiers there to possibly catch Ebola. How ’bout we send the Liberians back with some carpentry tools and blueprints to build their own damn treatment centers!

Pete F:

What we should do is get the addresses of every single Liberal that supports Amnesty and open borders. Give those addresses to every single Illegal that comes into our country, and tell them that these people will take you in, house you, feed you, cloth you, provide you with healthcare, etc.

This should also apply to Limousine Liberals such as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Lady gaga, Bill Mayher, Matt Damon, and Micheal Moore.

Someone should write a blog just on Temporary Protected Status, the Diversity Visa Lottery and those Investor Visa programs that allow all the Middle Easterners in here to buy convenience stores—-all LEGAL immigration programs in need of being exposed!

Here are all of our posts on TPS.  Syrians have that special refugee status now too!
