Minnesota: Opposition to Welcoming America is growing….

…..as more citizens are waking up to Leftwing community organizing tactics!
The Winona Daily News published a story last evening that is mostly meant to show that opposition to Welcoming America is coming from a bunch of nativist naysayers, but for me it shows how grassroots activists (paid by no one!) have been successful in educating small communities across the upper Midwest about the goals of the Soros-spawned Welcoming America community organizers.

I first heard of Welcoming America in 2013 when they were a featured presenter at a meeting in Lancaster, Pennsylvania put on by the Obama Office of Refugee Resettlement.
The ORR had contracted them to beat back “pockets of resistance” to refugee resettlement.
You should take a moment to read that post.
It is a good thing I quoted the Soros connection directly from Welcoming America’s website at the time because that page is mysteriously absent from their site now!
For the really ambitious among you, please see my entire archive on Welcoming America and its founder David Lubell.  They are your classic, hard Left community organizers promoting diversity is beautiful for your towns (more Democrat voters and more cheap labor!).
But, it is more than that…..

They are changing America by changing the people!

And using taxpayer dollars to do it!

'Welcoming America' to host German officials to show them how great our refugee integration is!

Alert: This is NOT fake news!

We have told you about ‘Welcoming America’ previously.  We first heard about them in June 2013 when we attended a meeting the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement was hosting in Lancaster, PA.  It is where we first heard about refugee “seedlings” planted in communities and where we learned that some of us asking questions about the program and how much it costs were referred to as “pockets of resistance.”

Welcoming America is the ‘brainchild’ of David Lubell. https://www.welcomingamerica.org/content/david-lubell-0

See that early warning post here.
‘Welcoming America’ got its start with Soros money. Propaganda is their specialty!
Now we see that ‘Welcoming America’ and other groups are bringing a delegation of German officials here to learn how great everything is in cities overloaded with refugees and how well the refugees are “integrating” (they never use the word assimilate).
From Digital Journal we learn that the delegation will go to Washington, DC (only a tiny number of refugees are ever placed in DC!), then on to Detroit, Nashville, Salt Lake City and Los Angeles.
If you are a community leader in one of those cities and are concerned about the refugee overload in your cities, try to figure out some way to get the attention of the German officials because you can bet that ‘Welcoming America’ is going to give them nothing but a glowing report on how well refugees ‘integrate’ and how everything is peace and love!
Here is the story:

Apr. 14, 2017 / PRZen / WASHINGTON — Twenty-five German integration professionals and public officials will travel to the United States, from April 30 to May 9, to learn firsthand how American cities approach community integration and resettlement as part of the Welcoming Communities Transatlantic Exchange (WCTE).

German citizens will be told that everything is just wonderful with refugees in America! What is wrong with you people!

The WCTE, which is now in its second year in 2017, is a professional exchange program for integration practitioners and leaders from the United States and Germany who work to integrate refugees and immigrants into their local communities. It annually brings together over 40 individuals from nine communities to expand their networks and share best practices and innovative approaches to integration initiatives at the local level.

This upcoming 10-day visit will provide individuals representing the German communities of Düsseldorf, Freiburg, Kreis Düren, Leipzig, and Münster with a wide-ranging look into how American cities welcome and integrate newcomers into their communities through a series of site visits and meetings with local governments, refugee resettlement agencies, interfaith groups, local schools and employers, among others.

The program kicks off in Washington, D.C. where the delegation will take part in meetings designed to provide a national perspective on issues of refugee resettlement and U.S. immigration policy. The group will then travel in three cohorts to Detroit, Nashville, and Salt Lake City before convening together in Los Angeles. In each city, the German delegates will have opportunities to meet with their U.S. counterparts and learn about the many different local approaches American communities apply to address the challenge of sustainably integrating newcomers.

You can bet that your citizens’ group that is questioning the cost and issues of security and cultural disruption will not be included in the show and tell sessions!

And, if you are new to the issue, we have a huge archive on the ‘Invasion of Europe’ where you can find out what a disaster for Europe that Germany has created with its open-door policy toward migrants.

New refugee seeding site: Youngstown, Ohio

We have been trying to identify the new resettlement sites the US State Department has been bragging about.  They are very secretive about where they want to go next, but they need new sites as they wear out their welcome in long established sites and because Obama has determined that the numbers are being vastly expanded for FY2017 which is already underway.

tom-mrosko
Mrosko was involved with the Welcoming Cleveland initiative we mentioned here in 2013. There are about 600 refugees being placed in Cleveland now. https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2013/07/16/tom-negri-and-welcoming-america-are-planning-to-change-cleveland-starting-tonight/

There is no list one can access (they have mentioned 47). There are only stories like this one that sneak into local news that tip us off as to where they want to go next.  For new readers, Catholic Charities would be a subcontractor of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops.
The Catholics in Youngstown must have run out of poor Americans to care for there.
From WKBN News  (hat tip: Joanne):

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown held a community forum to discuss the thought of bringing refugees to Youngstown.

About 200 people, both for and against the idea, attended the meeting at Saint Columba Hall Wednesday night.

It was an opportunity for those who are enthusiastic about the possibility of refugee resettlement, as well as those who may be resistant to the idea, to learn more about the issue, ask questions and engage in a dialogue.

[….]

“Maybe 25 to 30 people, which is not that many, and help them by being involved in the work of the Catholic Charities here,” said Cleveland Migration and Refugee Services Director Thomas Mrosco.

On that last point, we have been led to believe that a new resettlement site cannot be established unless it starts with 50 refugees in the first year.  Then, like it or not, the pattern is that the next year they will get 100-150 until they are like the town of Lancaster, PA be swamped with 700 needed third worlders arriving every year!
See our ‘Ten things you need to know if you are ‘welcoming’ refugees for the first time.’  Once a site is opened, there will be no going back and your town will not get to pick from the ethnic groups the DOS is bringing in.
Here is the original list of sites, click here.  And here, below, are the new sites we have identified so far:
Asheville, NC
Rutland, VT
Reno, NV
Ithaca, NY
Missoula, MT
Aberdeen, SD
Charleston, WV
Fayetteville, AR
Blacksburg, VA
Pittsfield, MA
Northhampton, MA
Flint, MI
Bloomington, IN
Traverse City, MI
Watertown, NY (maybe)

Imperial Beach, CA mayor withdraws from "Welcoming City" program

This just goes to show what a handful of citizens can do when they put their minds to it!  In California, no less! citizens learned that their mayor and council had signed a “Welcoming cities” proclamation last month.

Having none of it, the citizens pushed back and just yesterday, the Mayor rescinded the proclamation.  Hat tip: Brenda.
Here is one news story at KUSI News two days ago.

IMPERIAL BEACH (KUSI) — The mayor of Imperial Beach is under attack. A small group of people are accusing him of inviting refugees with an official proclamation.

The mayor himself is a little shocked. He believes it’s a big misunderstanding.

It may be a laid back little beach town, but Imperial Beach suddenly finds itself in the middle of an international hot topic.

Last month, Mayor Serge Dedina issued a proclamation, declaring Imperial Beach to be a “Welcoming City.”

The “Welcoming Communities” program is an Obama initiative intended to resettle large numbers of refugees from Syria, the rest of the Middle East and Latin America in cities and towns across America as part of his “fundamental transformation.”

At the time, Mayor Dedina thought it was pretty harmless, but some people believe it goes deeper than that.

They’re suspicious that the words, “welcoming city,” is another way of saying, “sanctuary city.”

No sense wandering in the weeds regarding the definitions because for the average American it is pretty much the same thing!  Welcoming cities are sanctuary cities and vice versa.
Yesterday, the mayor put out this press release:

Is Welcoming America "collaborating" in your town with your elected officials/businesses

Oh boy, the newest buzz word in the refugee industry is “collaboration” (gee, is that what is driving the Twin Falls mayor and council too, they want to be like Boise?).
Here is a story on Cleveland where we are told that the refugees are better off than refugees anywhere else in America! Yes, you got it! The rest of you (200 towns and cities) better shape up!

REfugees welcome Ohio
She doesn’t understand that big businesses and Chambers of Commerce need people like her to shill for them as they need the cheap immigrant labor that refugees supply! Watch Maggie here (and don’t miss the Palestinian activist at the end!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qirFHWtSsr0

And who says Cleveland’s are the best, none other than Refugee Services Collaborative of Greater Cleveland. Go here to see what/who that is!  I bet if you researched each group making up the “collaborative” most would be living off your tax dollars.
Read it all!
Go here to read about when Welcoming America first showed up in Cleveland in 2013.

Welcoming America is collaborator-in-chief!

Yesterday a reader sent me an alert from Welcoming America which says the deadline has been extended one week for you to get your grant requests in to them to see if you will be one of the big winners—you will get federal $ to be trained on how to collaborate to make your town the most welcome town it can be!
In the past year, Welcoming America (WA) received an Office of Refugee Resettlement grant to distribute to the those lucky winners who submit the best applications for projects that seek to develop strategies to (LOL! my phrase) ‘mind meld’ your community, to turn it from a town filled with a bunch of hateful unwelcoming redneck boobs to a town filled with love and understanding where multicultural joy reigns supreme for ever and ever.
Here is WA which received just short of $300,000 of your dollars for the project (go to USA Spending.gov).  Deadline was this coming Friday (July 1), but has been extended for another week (what? not enough takers?):

Collaborations for Welcoming Refugees Deadline Extended to Friday, July 8

Apply for an exciting new opportunity to advance your local collaborative through customized coaching and training from Welcoming America. Local collaboration shows great promise for coordinating, expanding, and scaling refugee integration and welcome in communities. Many communities such as Boise and Cleveland have had great success in fostering greater community support for refugees through local community collaborations.

Collaborations for Welcoming Refugees participants will receive personalized technical assistance and will connect with and learn from other collaboratives participating in Collaborations for Welcoming Refugees. Whether your collaborative is just starting out or is more seasoned, apply now to be part of this new effort. Learn more and apply for this exciting opportunity by Friday, July. [They obviously left off the 8—ed]

They are called collaboratives in case you missed it.
Go here to see what you have to do to get a fistful of taxpayer dollars to promote the colonization of your town and thus help change the demographic makeup of America so that big businesses/Chambers of Commerce, like the members of Global Cleveland (a member of the Cleveland COLLABORATIVE) can increase their bottom lines!
Note to do-gooders! You and the refugees are being used!
