Syrian Christians fear Muslim-populated United Nations camps

When I give presentations on our Refugee Admissions Program, I am asked all the time if we are taking Syrian Christians in our refugee flow and I tell people—very few!

UNHCR camps house mostly Muslim Syrians as Christians are too afraid to go there. In 2015, 96% of the Syrian refugees entering the US are Sunni Muslims. Photo from The Guardian: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2012/jul/30/syria-aleppo-fight-continues-live

I had heard anecdotally that Christians fear the Muslims in the United Nations camps.

Last week Leo Hohmann writing at World Net Daily confirms our suspicions in an article entitled, ‘Obama response to Christian killing fields ‘horrifying’.
Quoting  George Marlin, author of a  new book, “Christian Persecutions in the Middle East: A 21st Century Tragedy,” Hohmann tells us this (emphasis mine):

As of December 2014, 600,000 Syrian Christians had fled their country or have been internally displaced, Marlin reports. In Aleppo, more than 65 percent have been forced to leave.

He told WND most Syrian Christians will not go to the United Nations refugee camps for two reasons. First, they are afraid they will be harmed and, second, they do not want to leave their country. [Hohmann previously reported that Assad had protected the Christians.—ed]

“The Christians are afraid to go to those camps, because the camps are basically populated by Muslims, and they’re afraid of retaliation and harm in these camps,” Marlin said. “So what is happening with the Christian refugees is the Christian community is basically taking care of these people, they’re staying in the churches, they’re staying in Christian homes, and we at Aid to the Church in Need are trying to get aid to the churches that are housing them.”

So every time you see a Syrian camp photo, or see that one of our resettlement contractors is over there helping in the UN camps, or you see Angelina Jolie visiting a Syrian camp, remember they are helping mostly Muslims.

What do the numbers look like?

Just a few days ago, I reported that the refugees now numbering over 1,000 who have been admitted to the US since 2012 are 94% Muslim.  After reading this WND article I went back to check the data base for just the Syrians admitted to the US in 2015.  What did I find?  The number of Muslims admitted is even greater when only 2015 is analyzed!
In 2015 we admitted 763 Syrians so far.  Of that number only 23 are Christians, 36 say they are simply Muslim and another 698 are Sunni Muslims.

So 96% of those arriving in US towns and cities are Syrian Muslims (mostly Sunni Muslims).

That means that US resettlement contractors including the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, World Relief, Church World Service, Episcopal Migration Ministries and the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society are placing mostly Sunni Muslims (chosen by the UN) in your towns!   And, you pay for it!
The Jihad Caucus is aptly named!
Fourteen US Senators have asked Obama to admit 65,000 Syrians before his term in office ends.  We call them the Jihad Caucus because they are advocating for more Muslim refugees to be admitted to the US.

NYT: Minnesota judge rejects plea to release three Somalis charged in terrorism case (for now)

But, says he may re-think his decision and release them pre-trial later.
People like Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison think they could be deradicalized.

Keith Ellison
Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison: Integrate them back into their families and make sure they have responsible faith leaders.

Call me heartless, but I don’t think we should be spending all this time and taxpayer money rounding those up who want to leave the country to join their terrorist brethren.  Just let them go and revoke their passports.  Maybe even consider rounding up a bunch and offering free flights back to Islamic hellholes.
Obviously these resettled refugees or their children don’t appreciate what US taxpayers did for them in the first place.
Here is the New York Times:

MINNEAPOLIS — A federal judge here on Wednesday ordered three young men accused of plotting to travel to Syria to fight for the Islamic State kept in detention while awaiting trial, at least for now. That decision came after the defense argued that entrusting the men immediately to their families and Somali-American leaders was the best way to insulate them from radical Islam.

But United States District Judge Michael J. Davis, in a shift from what other federal judges have done in similar cases involving young people accused of being Islamic State recruits, signaled a willingness to revisit his decision in the coming months.

[….]

The issue of how to deradicalize young people attracted to the Islamic State, also known as ISIS, has become increasingly important here and in many other communities where recruitment by militant Islamic groups, often done online, has led to arrests.

Minneapolis, with its large Somali immigrant community, has been a recruitment hotbed for years. More than 20 people in Minnesota have faced federal charges related to Al Shabaab, an African terror group, with at least 10 more cases related to ISIS. Defendants have usually been detained while awaiting trial, as prosecutors have argued that they remain flight risks and threats to the community.

There is a lot more, continue reading here.
If you are new to this news—Somali Islamic radicalization in Minnesota—you might want to go back to our first posts on the topic in 2008 (this has been going on for a long time with no sign of “deradicalization” happening).  As for me, I am so sick of this story, about ‘Somali youths,’ that I’m only mentioning it here to keep our archives fresh.
Check out this post if you have time, I went to a Senate Homeland Security hearing back in March of 2009 and was shocked at the naivete of US Senators on the topic.

Renewed warning that ISIS plans to infiltrate 'refugee' flow to Europe

This is not new, but just this week an EU agency is warning (again!) that the invasion of Europe could include ISIS terrorists among the illegal aliens arriving in Europe from North Africa (thanks to Hillary and the girls, here).

Michele Coninsx is the EU’s chief crime and terror fighter. http://www.eurojust.europa.eu/press/pressreleases/pages/2015/2015-04-21.aspx

From Israel National News:

ISIS members could infiltrate Europe together with masses of refugees from Libya, Syria, and Iraq – ironically fleeing ISIS terror in their homelands, said Michele Coninsx, head of the EU’s judicial cooperation agency Eurojust.

Speaking Monday in Brussels, Coninsx told reporters that the EU was working together with other countries to prevent the migration of ISIS terrorists. She declined to specify exactly what steps were being taken.

A video released last week by ISIS in Libya and published by the Arabic-language Asharq al-Awsat shows the two perpetrators of a deadly attack on the Corinthia Hotel in January threatening that ISIS’s newly-established presence in the country would be used as a springboard to invade Europe.

Wyoming Republican Governor Matt Mead still angling to bring in refugees! Why???

He says he just wants a civil discussion to get the facts.  Indeed that is all we have ever asked for over the last 8 years—the facts!  All of the facts!
All of the facts to be laid out in public—the good, the bad and the ugly.
And, that is exactly what the UN/US State Department and their resettlement contractors avoid wherever they begin a new resettlement program.  Why?  Because when the average American citizen learns all of the facts they reject this program!  Secrecy has been its watchword for over three decades!

Casper Star Tribune: Albert Einstein was a refugee.

See this story at the Casper Star Tribune where Gov. Mead, we are told, has asked the ‘Humanities Council’ to add discussions about the federal government’s refugee program to its forum agenda.
LOL! Mead, who suggested here, that RRW is racist now says he wants a factual, respectful debate!
I can’t wait to see who he invites to address the negative aspects of resettling third worlders in Wyoming, the only state with no official resettlement program.
Imagine a sitting governor taking time to call-out a blogger thousands of miles away! What is he afraid of?
For all of our many many posts on the controversy that saw the issue become a re-election concern for Mead, click here.  I haven’t the time or patience to go back through it all. But, will address a couple of the “facts” in this news story.

I wish only one thing—I wish that Republican Gov. Matt Mead would be honest and tell everyone why it is so important for him to open Wyoming to impoverished refugees from Syria, Somalia, Iraq, Burma, Afghanistan and from myriad other conflict zones around the world.  Why???

Now to the Star Tribune:
* On the phrase “refugee camps.”  I don’t know where that came from and when I first saw it, I thought it was an unfortunate choice of words because refugees will not live in camps.  They will live, at first, in a couple of US State Department/contractor chosen cities in Wyoming and in mostly taxpayer-subsidized housing.

Esar Met
RRW: Esar Met was a refugee in Utah

* Regarding this statement by the reporter:

Opponents to resettlement have said refugees can spread HIV, Ebola, tuberculosis and advocate Sharia law.

Refugees are admitted to the US with HIV and tuberculosis.  Come on lazy reporters—look it up!  As for Ebola, the Liberian man who died in Texas with Ebola was visiting others who had come to the US as refugees, but no mention was ever made of his immigration status (that I know of). So, so far there hasn’t been a case of Ebola in a refugee.
And, yes, advocates of Sharia law are plentiful in the refugee flow, one only need to look to Minnesota, Ohio and California for cases of refugees being prosecuted for aiding Islamic terror groups around the world.
* Regarding the discussion about secondary migrants (refugees who have moved into Wyoming from elsewhere):

Refugees are currently living in Wyoming, Mead said.

“Most of them (are) I think the term is secondary refugees,” he said. “In other words, they’ve relocated into another state and now they are coming to Wyoming. But because we have no plan in place, we don’t know what their numbers are, what are the resources that they’re using.

Colorado rapist
RRW: Jasim Ramadon was a refugee in Colorado.

First, secondary migrants are like any other legal immigrant in America who chooses to move—we do allow free movement in this country (thankfully)!  However, those who choose to move from their primary place of resettlement, don’t need any special programs just for them.  They can find work and/or access welfare without someone (a resettlement contractor) holding their hands just as any other class of legal immigrant must do.
Governor Mead does not need the Humanities Council or a special resettlement contractor to figure out what “resources they’re using.”  He is the governor after all, he needs only to direct offices within the state government to figure out how much welfare the ‘secondary migrants’ are using, how many kids are in the schools, what health services they are using, etc.  The federal government is not going to send Wyoming more money for them, but state taxpayers might like to know the answer!
And, one more thing on the ‘secondary migrants.’  We learned here that Somalis were moving in from Colorado so as to obtain housing vouchers that they could take back to Colorado.  Maybe the Governor should find out how many of those refugees were ripping off poor and disabled Wyomingites who need that housing!
*  Then this is downright BS!

The federal Office of Refugee Resettlement and the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees “pay 100 percent of the costs of refugee resettlement for many years. It’s not like we’re going to get stuck with an unfunded mandate,” he said, noting Albert Einstein was a refugee.

Please, please get your facts!  I have written probably a hundred posts here at RRW explaining that local and state taxpayers are picking up a large chunk of the tab for all of this (not to mention the fact that even if some money comes from the feds, it still comes via Wyoming/US taxpayers or China! We don’t grow money on trees in Washington!).   Who do you think is paying for: educating the refugee children, providing interpreter services, paying for the criminal justice system, the fire and rescue service, or a large portion of the medical screening at your local health department?

*  And, now I am really steamed—what biased c***—“Albert Einstein was a refugee.”

I can play that game too.  Utah child rapist and murderer “Esar Met was a refugee” (she died in excruciating pain).  And, so was Jasim Ramadon an Iraqi gang rapist in Colorado.  Oh, and did you know about the two Iraqi refugee terrorists convicted in Kentucky?   How about Somali, Abdirahmaan Muhumed, a refugee to whom we gave a good life and who then went off and died for ISIS leaving 9 children and several wives for US taxpayers to support?
Who do you think paid for the criminal trials of these refugees—state and local taxpayers!  Who is paying for their prison terms?  You guessed it!  You!
I’ll bet a million bucks (if I had it!) that Einstein will be mentioned at the Humanities forum, but not a word about Met, Ramadon or Muhumed will cross any lips.

My message to the good folks of Wyoming—get your facts!  All of the facts!

Canada rejecting "refugees" from Malta

Why is this so interesting to us?

African-migrants-boat-to-Europe-620x412
If you think the migrant boats arriving on Malta don’t affect you, think again! We are taking some of Malta’s illegal aliens off their hands.

….because Canada is apparently attempting to make the point that international refugee law requires legitimate asylum seekers to seek asylum in the first safe country they enter.
The island nation of Malta is safe and therefore offers a “durable solution” to those seeking asylum.  Although we have sympathy for Malta and the Maltese people, there is no reason for a western nation like Canada or the US to resettle refugees from a safe country.
Here is the Independent:

A number of refugees in Malta who have been sponsored to move to Canada are being prevented from emigrating since Canada’s immigration authorities consider their stay in Malta to be a “durable solution” to their situation, Canadian media is reporting.

Remember readers that ever since the Bush Administration, the US State Department has been illegally in our view scooping up hundreds of those mostly African (mostly Somali!) illegal alien boat people who manage to get across the Mediterranean to Malta, transform them into refugees and move them to your towns and cities.  See most recently here.
And, here, we learned that some of the Malta boat people went to South Carolina.
We have dozens and dozens of posts on this outrage. Go here for our complete Malta archive.  And, here, for our ‘Invasion of Europe’ series.
