Invasion of Europe News: Germany and France agree to take thousands of 'refugees,' but still a drop in the bucket

Most other European countries have (no surprise!) not stepped up.
When you look at this article in Deutsche Welle see if you think it looks like it is purposefully deceptive to German readers.

Angela Merkel: No haters here! We’ll take 12,000 of these, and 35,000 of those (mostly Muslim) “refugees” to show what good people we Germans can be!

So, just say they divvy up 40,000 (already in the pipeline) so-called asylum seekers right now, yet they readily admit that 80,000 more have arrived just this year.  Who gets the additional tens of thousands?
And, btw, Germany has been saying they will take in 35,000 Syrians (to great cheers from the UN and the human rights industrial complex).  Is that number in addition to this latest promise to take 12,000 boat people this year?
Furthermore, what is going to stop another 80,000 from arriving next year? Will Germany take 12,000 of those?
Unless they stop the boats as Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott told them here in April, Europe is finished!
Deutsche Welle:

Germany and France have voluntarily agreed to take in some 21,000 asylum-seekers to help the EU deal with the Mediterranean migrant crisis. Other European countries have failed to reach an agreement in Luxembourg.

Despite commitments from Germany and France, the ministerial meeting held in Luxembourg on Thursday was unsuccessful in reaching the overall 40,000 target.

German Interior Minister Thomas De Maiziere and his French counterpart Bernard Cazeneuve announced at the summit that Germany would accept 12,100 whereas France would take 9,100 refugees.

People fleeing war and poverty in North Africa and the Middle East are seeking refuge in European countries, with most of the people turning up on the shores of Italy and Greece or being rescued at sea. Some 40,000 Syrian and Eritrean asylum seekers are currently camped in Italy and Greece, whereas another 20,000 are outside the EU.

[….]

Some 80,000 migrants have arrived in Italy since the start of the year.

The European Commission had pushed for a mandatory quota system to divide migrants among EU states, but many European leaders rejected the proposal.

Germans who want to see Germany survive better start asking for some clarification of the numbers!
And, wouldn’t it be ironic if Poland, which has refused so far to take any ‘refugees,’ survives and Germany doesn’t.

Renewed warning that ISIS plans to infiltrate 'refugee' flow to Europe

This is not new, but just this week an EU agency is warning (again!) that the invasion of Europe could include ISIS terrorists among the illegal aliens arriving in Europe from North Africa (thanks to Hillary and the girls, here).

Michele Coninsx is the EU’s chief crime and terror fighter. http://www.eurojust.europa.eu/press/pressreleases/pages/2015/2015-04-21.aspx

From Israel National News:

ISIS members could infiltrate Europe together with masses of refugees from Libya, Syria, and Iraq – ironically fleeing ISIS terror in their homelands, said Michele Coninsx, head of the EU’s judicial cooperation agency Eurojust.

Speaking Monday in Brussels, Coninsx told reporters that the EU was working together with other countries to prevent the migration of ISIS terrorists. She declined to specify exactly what steps were being taken.

A video released last week by ISIS in Libya and published by the Arabic-language Asharq al-Awsat shows the two perpetrators of a deadly attack on the Corinthia Hotel in January threatening that ISIS’s newly-established presence in the country would be used as a springboard to invade Europe.

Canada rejecting "refugees" from Malta

Why is this so interesting to us?

African-migrants-boat-to-Europe-620x412
If you think the migrant boats arriving on Malta don’t affect you, think again! We are taking some of Malta’s illegal aliens off their hands.

….because Canada is apparently attempting to make the point that international refugee law requires legitimate asylum seekers to seek asylum in the first safe country they enter.
The island nation of Malta is safe and therefore offers a “durable solution” to those seeking asylum.  Although we have sympathy for Malta and the Maltese people, there is no reason for a western nation like Canada or the US to resettle refugees from a safe country.
Here is the Independent:

A number of refugees in Malta who have been sponsored to move to Canada are being prevented from emigrating since Canada’s immigration authorities consider their stay in Malta to be a “durable solution” to their situation, Canadian media is reporting.

Remember readers that ever since the Bush Administration, the US State Department has been illegally in our view scooping up hundreds of those mostly African (mostly Somali!) illegal alien boat people who manage to get across the Mediterranean to Malta, transform them into refugees and move them to your towns and cities.  See most recently here.
And, here, we learned that some of the Malta boat people went to South Carolina.
We have dozens and dozens of posts on this outrage. Go here for our complete Malta archive.  And, here, for our ‘Invasion of Europe’ series.

Irish Bishop: Ireland needs to step up and take in Mediterranean migrants

Controversial Irish Bishop: bring in the Muslim refugees. See 2012 pedophilia controversy in this article. http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/bishop-refuses-to-quit-over-his-controversial-paedophilia-comments-26895305.html

Invasion of Europe news….

Update July 7:  Ireland now says it might admit 600 Mediterranean illegal migrants, here.
Yesterday, we learned that Poland is hanging tough and not bending to EU and United Nations pressure to take in the mostly Muslim invaders coming across the Mediterranean from North Africa.   But, it looks like Ireland is caving in…
From the Independent:

The Catholic Church has called on the Government to “open our doors” to more migrants from the Mediterranean.

The comments from Bishop John Kirby come as Defence Minister Simon Coveney said that other EU countries should take responsibility for their fair share of the response to the refugee crisis.

Mr Coveney’s said that Ireland will consider accepting the settlement of more than the 300 refugees already agreed if formally requested to do so by the EU.

He will travel to Malta on Monday to discuss the refugee crisis with officials in Valletta before meeting the 69-strong crew of the Naval Service vessel, LÉ Eithne, which has saved 3,000 refugees off the north African coast since May.

The only way to save Europe is to stop the boats

More Invasion of Europe news…..
David Frum writing in The Atlantic about the invasion of Europe, wraps up an insightful (longish) piece by endorsing the policy of the Abbott government in Australia which has stopped the illegal migration of phony asylum seekers to the country by stopping the boats!

NEW Germans, NEW Italians, NEW Frenchmen aboard!

Is it any surprise that if you let them come, more will come?

The lesson applies to America as well…..
From The Atlantic (Closing European Harbors).  Emphasis is mine:

Contrast this with the recent experience of Australia. After the Labor government of Prime Minister Kevin Rudd announced a newly permissive policy toward asylum-seekers in 2008, their numbers, unsurprisingly, soared. As holding facilities filled, Labor leaders moved to reintroduce stricter controls, but public opinion had already turned against them: the party lost the 2013 federal election to Tony Abbott, a conservative who had, among other campaign promises, vowed to crack down on asylum-seekers arriving by boat. Under Abbott’s policy, no unapproved boats would be allowed to land. Period. Boats apprehended at sea would be turned back to their point of origin or towed to uncongenial places like Papua New Guinea for processing of passengers. The government used social media to communicate the new policy throughout Southeast Asia. A YouTube video released in many of the region’s languages warned: “If you travel by boat without a visa, you will not make Australia home.” Since then, illegal boat migration has virtually disappeared.

The policy has been expensive: the government has reportedly spent about $1 billion Australian a year to detain migrants at facilities in other countries. That is a relatively small sum, however, compared with the high social and economic costs over many years—and multiple generations—of allowing large-scale migration by very low-skilled people.

The ocean around Australia is much wider than the sea between Libya and Europe. Yet Australia’s example is promising. Migration follows opportunity. Remove opportunity, and migration will cease. Migrants who attempt to force their way into Europe are, quite understandably, seeking a better life. But the peoples of the countries they wish to enter similarly have a right to do what is best for themselves.

Making a success of the migration that has already occurred will demand tremendous wisdom, generosity, and policy creativity from Europe’s leaders. That challenge will become only more daunting if migrant numbers continue to grow unchecked, thanks to an immigration policy that prides itself on being compassionate, but that in practice perpetuates the darkest and most dangerous tendencies of Europeans, old and new alike.
