Read and weep! Christianity in Germany dying as Muslim ‘refugees’ move in

This story hit me like a ton of bricks!

It wasn’t just the news, but the way it is reported and how chipper the archdiocese is about the opportunity to unload an abbey to the government to house ‘refugees’ (most are really economic migrants and not legitimate refugees) from Muslim countries.

From CatholicPhilly.com:

BEUERBERG, Germany (CNS) — Cold winter light is streaming through the ancient windows of Beuerberg Abbey. It plays on the wood of the empty choir stalls, shimmers on the bronze hand bell of the prioress. Everything is quiet and ready for the next prayer.

But this bell will likely never again break the silence of these walls. The last nuns of Beuerberg have left. The monastery, founded in 1121, today stands empty in the snowy landscape of the Alpine foothills.

[….]

Sister Lioba and the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising have worked a deal to house refugees in the abbey. They hope that, within a few months, families from Syria, Iraq, Nigeria, Afghanistan and other conflict zones can find a home here.

[….]

Msgr. Peter Beer, archdiocesan vicar general, sees Beuerberg Abbey as a test case and model for the future use of the more than 100 monasteries across Upper Bavaria, a growing number of which are threatened by the drastic decline in vocations.

Record numbers of migrants and asylum seekers are pouring into Europe, and most of them are headed to Germany. As the U.N. refugee agency reports, Germany has been — and continues to be — the recipient of the largest number of asylum applications, followed by France, Sweden, Italy and the United Kingdom.

For those of you who think, wow, this might be a great opportunity to evangelize and bring the migrants to Christ, forget it, most Christians working in the refugee humanitarian industrial complex are so steeped in the notion of cultural/religious relativism, they don’t dare try to convert anyone.

Think about where we are in history!  We are witnesses to the end of Europe as we have known it for centuries.

One last thing!  How long do you think that statue of the Madonna will last?

Pro-refugee, pro-Islam protesters take to the streets in Dresden, Germany to say “willkommen”

So it must be fine with them if beleaguered Greece sends their asylum-seeker overload to Germany, right?

Protesters carried multicolor balloons to celebrate multiculturalism über alles.

First from Sputniknews on Dresden:

The protest was designed to promote the idea of multiculturalism in Germany and contribute to the elimination of racism and discrimination.

Anastasia Raevskaya — Thousands of people gathered on Saturday in Dresden to demonstrate against xenophobia and racism, promoted by the German anti-islamization movement Pegida.

Carrying balloons of different colors with the legend “Refugees welcome” and holding placards urging tolerance towards foreigners — students, refugees, representatives of various political movements and other activists crowded the city center to protest against discrimination and express their solidarity with people of various religious and cultural backgrounds.

The demonstration was organized by a nationwide social movement known as #NoPegida, which formed as resistance to the notorious right-wing group Pegida. Over the last few months, Germany has experienced a wave of anti-Islam sentiment, partly related to an increased influx of refugees from Syria and Iraq. Pegida or Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamization of the West was responsible for organizing anti-immigrant demonstrations, which have taken place all over the country since October 2014.

So, we ask, if Germany is so welcoming, why is the German government upset with economically stressed Greece for sending its asylum-seeker overload northward?

From The Times:

Berlin is demanding answers from Athens after it emerged that the former Greek government issued documents to Syrian refugees that would allow them to claim asylum in Germany.

Syrians who managed to reach Greece have told The Times that they convinced Athens to provide them with official residency papers. Once they had these, they were able to book flights to northern European countries more generous to migrants.

The arrangement suited both parties, it is alleged. The Syrians did not want to settle in Greece, because the economy was in crisis and there were few jobs. Unlike Germany, it does not promote a policy of family reunification, where migrants can bring relatives to live with them once they are settled.

Greece does not want refugees and is struggling to keep itself afloat in the midst of a row with Brussels over the repayment of €240 billion of debt.

[….]

With official Greek residency papers, Syrians have been able to book a flight to Germany, rip their papers up during the flight and claim asylum once they land in Germany.

The Times tells us that the migrants want to go to welcoming Germany, Denmark or Sweden.

Alas, the clock is ticking on Germany and the whole of Europe.  See our extensive archive on the ‘Invasion of Europe’ by clicking here.

Berlin, Germany traces latest measles outbreak to refugees; toddler dies

More news that unvaccinated refugees are helping spread measles in Germany.  No surprise as Germany has virtually opened its doors to refugees from throughout Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East.  If anyone dares challenge the government on this open door policy, one is immediately labeled a Nazi.  Wave bye-bye to Germany?

Refugees headed west from the former Yugoslavia. http://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-eu-31154596

From The Local:

There have been 447 cases of measles confirmed in the first seven weeks of 2015, as Berlin comes to grip with the biggest measles outbreak since 2001, reported the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) earlier this month.

The outbreak is being traced back to a community of refugees from Serbia as well as Bosnia and Herzogovina, where routine vaccinations were not carried out during the Yugoslavian civil war.

Earlier this month we told you that massive numbers of refugees are on the move from the former Yugoslavia and are headed westward toward Germany and other ‘welcoming’ countries.  And, a week ago we reported on the German measles outbreak, here.

Germany: Most measles cases linked to refugees, asylum seekers

This is a little story I didn’t get around to a couple of days ago.  Thanks to Robin (and maybe someone else) who sent it my way.

We think we have it bad—check out Germany’s measles cases and this more detailed story. Spikes in Germany related to refugee and asylum seeker waves. http://www.digitaljournal.com/life/health/measles-outbreak-in-germany-10-times-worse-that-in-usa/article/425487?noredir=1

From Fox News:

Authorities in Berlin say a spike in measles infections has been traced to unvaccinated refugees but at least two measles cases appear to have come from the United States.

Berlin has recorded 468 cases of measles this year, more than the rest of Germany had during all of 2014.

Dr. Dirk Werber of Berlin’s state health office said Friday that a child asylum seeker from Bosnia is considered the index case because many subsequent infections among refugees were genetically identical.

Measles has since spread to Berlin’s non-refugee population, partly because immunization rates among over-45s are low.

Two cases are believed to have been caught in the US.  Related to refugees here too?  That we don’t know.

Werber said one woman and possibly a child appeared to have contracted measles while traveling in the United States.

Germany is having its migrant problems, that is for sure!  Click here for our complete archive on Germany.

Germany: Asylum seeker numbers skyrocketing

More fuel for PEGIDA’s fire?

One of my favorite photos: Invaders at the Brandenburg Gate. http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/world/article/europe-seeks-to-stem-flow-of-balkan-asylum-seekers/

Most are from Muslim countries.

The big question left hanging for me is what is happening to those rejected (around 4,000 just in the first 18,000)—is Germany shipping them ‘home?’

From Deutsche Welle (oops! had the wrong link in here earlier, thanks to ‘PP’ for the catch):

In January, 25,042 people applied for asylum status through Germany’s Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), the Interior Ministry announced Monday in Berlin. The total includes 21,679 first-time applications and 3,363 follow-ups. That represents an increase of 73 percent over January 2014 and 23 percent over December 2014.

There has already been a decision on almost 18,000 of the applications made in January. Forty-four percent were accepted as refugees, and the government has prohibited the deportation of 137 more applicants. The applications of just over a quarter were rejected.

In 2014, Germany received 203,000 applications for asylum, 60 percent higher than in 2013 – the third-highest total in national history and more than any other EU country last year.
