World Net Daily reporter, Leo Hohmann, has provided (to a much larger audience than we ever could hope to have) our recent information (here and here) that British former Foreign Secretary David Miliband, now the CEO of the largest (in dollar terms) US refugee resettlement agency, the International Rescue Committee, wants Obama to supply the contractors with the next large batch of paying “clients.”
Here is what Hohmann said yesterday, but even more interesting than the news is what the commenters are saying!
Just a few snips of what Miliband is demanding:
“First … it can raise the 70,000 cap specifically to accommodate Syrian refugees over the next two years. By historical standards, the U.S. should be committing to take around 65,000 — or 50 percent — of those identified by the U.N. for resettlement by the end of 2016.”
Miliband also requests the U.S. move at a faster pace in its screening of applicants, a process that is overseen by the Department of Homeland Security with help from the FBI.
[….]
He closed the editorial by saying: “The U.S. is in a position to help by swiftly expanding resettlement and encouraging other donor states to follow its example. The moral choice is clear.”
One commenter said this (below) in response to my request to contact your Member of Congress and US Senators. I know they have been pretty hopeless, but don’t let them off the hook. Don’t let them someday say they didn’t know! After you call or write, then write a ‘letter to the editor’ of your local paper and tell them what you told your Washington supposed representatives. Spread the news on social media and at least tell your family and friends!

What is it going to do in contacting our congressmen and women? They havent done anything to stop Obama, why would they now?
Please also write to Rep. Michael McCaul of Texas, Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, and thank him for standing firm on the security concerns about a large influx of not properly screened Syrians to America. Tell him to please stand firm!
I know you are saying that isn’t the Senator Rand Paul you know now, but it was the Senator Paul in the wake of the discovery of Iraqi refugee terrorists found in his home town and convicted in Kentucky just a few years ago.
As a matter of fact, I was thrilled! He was the first sitting US Senator I had ever heard speak publicly and critically about the Refugee Resettlement Program of the UN/US State Department.
Here is ourcomplete archive in which we mention Paul’s statements on refugees. Please note that his home town of Bowling Green is completely swamped with refugees and we have a lengthy archive on problems there as well.
Here is what we said in 2013when the Senator was roundly criticized by a Leftwing immigration reporter at the HuffPo. This is what Huffington Post reporter, Elise Foley, quotes Paul saying:
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said on Wednesday that the U.S. should be skeptical of accepting refugees, from Iraq in particular, because they take welfare and could plan attacks on American soil.
[….]
“It’s one thing to have a big heart and invite people to our country, and if you do it in a small fashion, the churches and the people take care of them, that’s one thing. But like in my town in particular, they bring ’em in and there is someone whose job and expertise is to sign them up for welfare as soon as they get here.”
There is moreand links to other information on Paul.
So what happened to that Rand Paul?
Grover was a promoter of Iraqi refugees!
When we began writing RRW in 2007, one of our first stunning revelations was that Republican guru Grover Norquist was running around Washington lobbying for the US to bring in the Iraqis. 120,000 plus Iraqi refugees later, they are coming in at a rate of 20,000 a year (approximately 68% of them are Muslims split fairly evenly between Shiites and Sunnis).
They are receiving a boatload of welfare (see beginning on page 107 of the latest ORR Annual Report to Congress) higher than many other refugee ethnic groups. So Senator Paul was right about that—we bring’em in and sign’em up for welfare!
If you happen to see Paul on the campaign trail, ask him why he dropped his earlier criticism of the refugee resettlement program which is changing American towns and cities under the direction of the United Nations and Obama’s State Department.

Moreseeding going on in Louisville, KY as Syrian families are resettled by a ‘Christian’ charitable group (aka federal contractor) with funds from a controversial Islamic organization.
In a story otherwise meant to be warm and fuzzy about a collection being taken up by Kentucky Refugee Ministriesfor its new Syrians, we learn a little bit more about the role of Islamic Relief USA. Just a reminder, as I said here, I have never previously seen funding coming from a Muslim group directly to a federal refugee contractor.
As Kentucky Refugee Ministries begins to resettle its first Syrian refugees in Louisville, members of the local Muslim community are banding together to collect items to help.
The first Syrian family to be resettled arrived Feb. 13, and another 20 families are expected in the coming months…..
Muslim community is “more organized now!” Indeed!
“Our community is more organized now, and we’re at the stage where we want to be more involved in helping the community,” said Natalia Blagaia, principal of the Nur school. “This is like a wake-up call.”
Churches and the general Christian community traditionally have taken on most of the responsibility for sponsoring KRM refugees and supplying their needs. The drive is “really an effort to engage the Muslim community,” Bailey-Ndiaye said.
The ministries received a grant of about $52,000 from Islamic Relief USA, which has regional offices throughout the country and headquarters in Alexandria, Va., to help enlist the support of the Muslim community and to aid some arriving refugees.
Once again for all those who don’t believe me that the UN is picking our refugees!
KRM assists people who have been identified by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees and the U.S. Government as needing resettlement.
I’m going to keep asking the same question: Where are US Senators Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul? Paul wants to be President of the US, but if he can’t seem to see what is happening in his own state, how can we expect him to keep us safe! Is it a coincidence that much ‘seeding’ is happening in KY, nope!
Since I’ve been fixated on the Obama plan to replace (old) Americans with New Americans. You know the “seedling” plan! And, then we learned that there is even a non-profit group funded by big money foundations also pushing for immigrants to get their legal permanent resident status swapped for citizenship called the New Americans Campaign, you should know that your tax dollars are fueling the process!
As if it’s any surprise, we learned in our previous postthat immigrants most often vote for the Democratic Party!
From the Dept. of Homeland Security (USCIS) comes this pipeline flowing with your money to ‘non-profits’ to get those immigrants signed up pronto! before a deadline of September 2016(gee, I wonder what the rush might be!). (hat tip: Richard at Blue Ridge Forum):
Citizenship and Integration Grant Program
On Sept. 18, 2014, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced the award of nearly $10 million in grants to 40 organizations that will help permanent residents prepare and apply for U.S. citizenship. Located in 24 states and the District of Columbia, these organizations will receive federal funding to support citizenship preparation services for permanent residents through September 2016.
[….]
Grant recipients are public or private nonprofit organizations with recent experience providing citizenship instruction and naturalization application services to permanent residents. They include public school systems, community and faith-based groups, adult education organizations, and literacy organizations.
Recipient organizations are geographically diverse and represent both traditional immigrant destinations and new immigrant gateways across 24 states and the District of Columbia. Grant recipients plan to provide citizenship instruction and naturalization application services to approximately 22,000 permanent residents from more than 50 countries. Grant recipients represent:
Eighteen of the top 20 states with the largest permanent resident populations (California, New York, Florida, Texas, Illinois, Massachusetts, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Washington, Michigan, North Carolina, Arizona, Ohio, Minnesota, Colorado, and Connecticut);
Eight of the top 10 metropolitan areas with the most new permanent residents in the past 10 years(New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, greater Washington, Chicago, Houston, Boston, and Atlanta); and
Nine of the top 10 states with the most naturalizations over the last two years (California, New York, Florida, Texas, Illinois, Virginia, Massachusetts, Georgia and Pennsylvania).
So who are the groups with their hands out to the feds through this one program (obviously, AmeriCorps has another funding stream). We recognize many refugee resettlement contractors on the list.

We told you about the Task Force on Saturday in response to a revelation made on the February 26th Mark Levin radio program. See that post by clicking here.
Reader Julia has been doing some digging and has identified one of the many participants in the task force.
Transforming immigrant “seedlings” to Democratic voters!
The New Americans Campaign is an advocacy group which is working in certain areas of the United States to get as many Legal Permanent Residents signed up for US citizenship as they possibly can—new Democrats of course!
I laugh every time I imagine (crazy I know) what would happen to all of these well-funded Open Borders advocacy groups if all of a sudden immigrants were registering to vote Republican! The organization would be shuttered in a heart beat!
They say in their literature:
8.5 million Legal Permanent Residents (LPRs) are eligible to naturalize—but fewer than one million naturalize each year.
With millions in funding they are working to change that!
The New Americans Campaign is part of the Naturalization Working Group, see here, which submitted comments to the Obama Task Force.
Founding partners of the New Americans Campaign include George Soros’ Open Society Foundations:
Six national foundations joined in an unprecedented collaboration to support the nonpartisan New Americans Campaign to help modernize naturalization assistance in the United States and help more legal permanent immigrants become U.S. citizens.
The consortium has so far committed more than $25 million to the project. Founding national funders of the New Americans Campaign are: The Carnegie Corporation of New York; the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation; Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund; Grove Foundation; Open Society Foundations and The JPB Foundation. More recently, the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation joined the Campaign as a national funder. Other funders invest locally in individual sites. For a full list of our funders, visit our Partners page.
Less than four years old, the New Americans Campaign is busy, busy, busy in the following locations:
The New Americans Campaign is a diverse national network of legal-service organizations, faith-based organizations, businesses, foundations and community leaders that is paving a better road to citizenship. The Campaign began in the cities of Charlotte, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and San Jose. More than 3.3 million citizenship-eligible individuals reside in these eight metropolitan areas, representing more than 40 percent of the pool of citizenship-eligible legal permanent residents in the United States. [Reader Julia wants to know if the Campaign has access to government (personal) records of all those eligible LPRs so they know where/who to target?—ed]
The New Americans Campaign has expanded to include collaborations in the East Bay Area, Napa County, Orange County, San Diego County, and San Francisco; and coalitions in the states of Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Washington.
Go here to see all of their partners (many of the ‘non-profits’ listed receive federal funding) including Catholic Legal Immigration Network, International Rescue Committee and Church World Service. The IRC and CWS are of course refugee resettlement contractors.
