And the numbers I’m about to give you don’t account for the millions of needy migrants you are still supporting through some welfare/medicaid program or another from previous years!
Thanks to Joanne for pouring over the FY2017 Budget document for the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement in the Department of Health and Human Services. And, this is only half of the story since the US State Department is also shelling out millions for the same group of refugees. The US State Department budget likely adds another $2 billion to the $2 billion price tag below.
And remember! Much of this expenditure to care for these refugees/asylees/assorted other migrants (legal and illegal) flows through federal contractor middle men (for salaries, offices etc.)

Now check out these numbers on page 240! 195,231 arrived in FY 2015 for us to take care of (it’s not just the resettled refugee numbers, 70,000-85,000, being bandied about).
If you can’t read the numbers here they are for 2015:

Refugees: 69,933

Special Immigrant Visas: 8,709

Cuban/Haitian Immigrants 61,000 (look at that column and see the massive expansion of Cubans you are caring for!)

Asylees: 21,000

Trafficking victims: 863

Unaccompanied Children: 33,726

You will see in the text that Obama is going to up the number in FY2017 to “213,000 humanitarian arrivals.”

David Miliband loves Hillary's smile….

….And, is the the man who is deciding the future of Montana (and other US states)!

hillary-and-miliband — She has such a “fantastic smile.”

As the CEO of the New York City-based International Rescue Committee (IRC), we learned recently that he will be helping to decide which third world refugees will be seeded in Missoula, Montana through the newest IRC office there.
Miliband is the former British Foreign Secretary who came to NYC a few years ago to take the job (paid nearly a half a million dollars a year) to run the IRC (a US government funded refugee resettlement contractor).
We have an extensive archive on him and have on many previous occasions reported on his warm relationship with Hillary Clinton. He was the first to call for 65,000 (mostly Muslim) Syrians to be admitted to the US this year, and has since demanded 100,000 this year.

Here The Telegraph hints that Miliband might be thinking about heading back to the UK (he is a British citizen) and jumping back into UK politics.

David Miliband has spoken of his true feelings for the Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton and his affection for her “fantastic smile”.

In an interview with ES Magazine, Mr Miliband opened up about his friendship with the Democratic candidate, as he praised her humor, intelligence and powerful smile.

He said he likes to think of her as “a friend” and that people are always surprised by her.

“You have to update your politics.”

He indicated he was considering a moved back to Britain admitting he will not be doing his current job

Mr Miliband, who currently heads the International Rescue Committee in New York, suggested he would not do the job “for ever” and indicated he was considering a moved back to Britain.

He also revealed he had been speaking to old Labour colleagues, including Pat McFadden MP, who was sacked by Mr Corbyn fir alleged “disloyalty”.

The article goes on to report that he opposes the UK leaving the EU because he is a hard core globalist. Globalists believe not only in the free trade of commodities, but in the free movement of cheap laborers as well!

Majority of Americans want ban on Muslim migration to America

A MAJORITY of Americans now agree with banning all non-citizen Muslims from the United States, according to a new poll coming less than four months after Donald Trump first proposed the policy.

A YouGov/Huffington Post poll published this week found that 51 percent of Americans now support the ban, up from 45 percent in December. The same poll also found strong support for Sen. Ted Cruz’s proposal to “patrol and secure” Muslim neighborhoods, with 45 percent of Americans in favor.

And, so Mr. Moghul, why do you think this is?

“Eight years ago, we congratulated ourselves on how we were allegedly the only country that could elect an Obama [A Muslim apologist?—ed]. Now we’re a country that would’ve banned his father from entering the country.”

It is because there is no sign that ‘moderate’ Muslims are going to police their own communities, countries and religion and stop the killers. And, Obama did nothing to slow the jihadists either!

Well, that is the gist of it. Most refugees they are stressing about are Muslims after all. So, what do you expect! Of course they want more seeded into your towns and cities.

miliband and Obama — David Miliband, former British Foreign Secretary moved across the pond to run the US resettlement contractor, the IRC, but he obviously doesn’t dare criticize Obama for going slooowly on getting the Syrians here.

The International Rescue Committee and the other federal contractors (which are paid by the head to resettle refugees) have signed on to an open letter to world leaders to harangue them about more permanent resettlement in the west of mostly Muslim Syrians and Iraqis.
I’m laughing to myself because surely the IRC and the eight other quasi-government agencies masquerading as non-profit groups must be really embarrassed because the US (Obama!) can’t get done what they want—they are all on record wanting 100,000 Syrians admitted to the US THIS year. But, not a critical word in their open letter about their dear leader Barack Hussein Obama.
I followed their wailing and moaning way back in 2007 and 2008 when Bush was going too slowly in opening the Iraqi flood gates and they screamed via many friendly reporters every month (when the new numbers came out) about what a meany Bush was.
Not a peep about Obama! So fun to watch!
In a couple of days we will be 6 months into FY2016 and we are (I am happy to report) nowhere near the numbers of Syrians being admitted to the US that Obama has promised (he promised 10,000 by Sept. 30th). Come back in a couple of days and I’ll let you know where we stand. Hint: They have over 8,000 to go! (Apparently the political pressure you are all putting on is working!)

Wall Street Journal's immigration writer ticks me off with fluff on "welcoming" Utah

I’ve got other things I’m working on this morning, but have put them on hold so I can blow off steam! A reader just sent me this story….grrrrr!
Wall Street Journal reporter Miriam Jordan writes ‘authoritatively’ on Muslim refugees going to”welcoming” Utah and fails to mention the horrific murder case that dragged on for years in Salt Lake City.

Esar Met evil face — Major news publications never reported on Burmese Muslim murderer Esar Met. Why? He doesn’t fit the refugee propaganda story they want to tell!

Some of the best reporting I’ve seen on refugees in my over 8 years of following the issue was done by Julia Lyon a reporter at the time for the Salt Lake Tribune.
Surely, Ms. Jordan was aware of the case, but mentioning it might mess up her goal in reporting on how everything is just wonderful with Muslim refugees in Utah (and so what is wrong with you in your not-so-welcoming state).
In 2008 a Burmese Muslim refugee raped and murdered a little Christian refugee girl. The medical examiner testified that she died in “excruciating pain” and first responders said the apartment where her body was found “looked like a horror scene.”
Met was ultimately found guilty in 2014.

Perhaps one of the greatest shames, besides some naive refugee resettlement agency placing Muslim refugees in the same apartment complex as Christians (who had hated each other in Burma!***), is that no major US media outlet ever picked up the story. Why? Because it doesn’t fit the ‘story’ they want to tell about refugee resettlement in America.
In Ms. Jordan’s case her title tells us everything we need to know: ‘With Welcoming Stance, Conservative Utah Charts Its Own Course on Refugees.’ The implication of course is that if “conservative” Utah can welcome Muslims, why can’t you!
She reports that there are no organized pockets of resistance in Utah.
And, her article (here if you can even open it) confirms once again the reason I started writing this blog in 2007. Now there are many many good writers and bloggers ‘balancing’ the news on refugees, but back in 2007, I was so sick of the fluffy stories that it drove me to bring some balance to the news. Guess I’ll just have to keep on balancing the news!
And, you can be sure that if someone writes about Utah and doesn’t mention Muslim murderer Met, I will be pointing it out. Met is most likely a Burmese Rohingya Muslim (very devout Muslims) and we are admitting thousands to the US right now.
***Btw, reporter Julia Lyon went to the camp in Thailand and found out that these two groups (Christians and Muslims) were housed in separate sections of the camp for good reason!
