Some asylum seekers in Europe pretend to be Rohingya

Here is a new twist in the asylum racket.

Since Rohingya Muslims from Burma/Bangladesh are being promoted as the most persecuted people on the planet (a claim we have challenged here for years), some illegal immigrants are claiming they are Rohingya Muslims in Europe and in Canada in hopes of getting the much-coveted refugee status.

From WeeklyBlitz.net:

Following publication of the report titled ‘Fake Rohingyas entering Western countries’ in Blitz, we have been receiving specific information from various sources from a number of Western countries, where Bangladeshi nationals have already sought political asylum pretending to be Ronhigyas born in Arakan. According to our sources, only during 2011-2012, a few thousand fake Rohingyas already sought political asylum only in the European nations, while a significant number of so-called Rohingyas are also reportedly seeking asylum in Canada.

That is the important news.  Most of the remainder of the story is pro-Rohingya propaganda being promoted by the ‘humanitarian’ lobby.

For new readers, this is the 124th post in our Rohingya Reports category.

Canadian government considering electronic bracelets for failed refugees

By failed refugees they mean asylum seekers who have been denied asylum.   And, Canada has 44,000 of them roaming free in the land!   But, oh well, only a few of them pose any threat!

From Canada.com:

The House of Commons’ public safety committee has issued a report recommending the government consider the use of electronic ankle bracelets as a way to curb the number of denied refugee claimants who fail to comply with removal orders.

Opposition critics, however, say expanding the use of such technology for immigration purposes would be a waste of money since most rejected immigrants and failed refugee claimants pose “little or no risk” to the public.

I guess they don’t consider mooching on social services and competing for jobs a threat to the public!

The committee’s report cited the testimony earlier this year of Peter Hill, director general of post-border programs at the Canada Border Services Agency, which has the responsibility of enforcing the removal of people deemed inadmissible to Canada. Hill testified that there were 44,000 individuals in the country with outstanding arrest warrants and whose current whereabouts were unknown.   [of course one flaw in this idea is that they can’t find the 44,000 to put bracelets on them!—ed]

“By and large, the majority of them — 80 per cent of those cases — are failed refugee claimants without any criminality or security concerns,” he told the committee. “They have absconded — they have not shown up for an immigration process or they have not shown up for their removal — so we have warrants for their arrest for removal.”

There is another way to look at those numbers —- 20% (8,800) are criminals!

The article at Canada.com goes on:

Still, the committee, which is chaired by Conservative MP Kevin Sorenson, went ahead and recommended that the Canada Border Services Agency “review the use and cost effectiveness of electronic monitoring with the aim of reducing the occurrence of inadmissible individuals who are not presenting themselves for removal.”

Makes me wonder how many failed asylum seekers are wandering around the US!

Canada: Somali “kids” killing each other

This is not the first post we’ve written on Somali gang violence taking the lives of Somali “kids” in Canada.   (check our Canada category for more if you are interested).

Here is one thing I wonder, what is the age at which Somalis don’t call their 26-year-olds “kids” anymore, and when do we call them men?

This is the latest, this time from Toronto, on the violent deaths of Somali men.  From the Toronto Star:

Last week, Abdul Warsame spent an afternoon at the Khalid Bin-Walid mosque in the Rexdale neighbourhood mourning 28-year-old Abdulaziz Farah. In a fiery sermon to the hundreds gathered, he warned parents and youngsters that “it’s a matter of time until another Somali kid is killed.

Within days, those words had come true.

Four days later, early on Tuesday, two young men were shot to death on Jamestown Cres., in a notorious west-end neighbourhood. They were the fifth and sixth Somali-Canadian men to be killed in gun violence in Toronto since early June.

“I am heartbroken,” said Warsame, co-founder of a mentorship program for Somali-Canadian youth. “What should we do … our kids are dying.”

He’s not exaggerating.

The bloodletting started when Ahmed Hassan, 24, was shot dead at the Eaton Centre on June 2. Hussein Hussein, 23, died on June 23. Abdulle Elmi, 25, on July 8. Abdulaziz Farah, 28, on Sept. 8.

And then on Tuesday, Suleiman Ali and Warsame Ali, both 26, were found dead with gunshot wounds in an alley in an Etobicoke townhouse complex.

The spate of violence has left the Somali community in Toronto crushed, its leaders desperately seeking answers.

They want more programs and services, yup that will fix the problem (not!)

They have held meetings throughout the summer to understand why their young men are getting killed and how they can help keep them safe. They’ve asked federal and provincial politicians for more programs and services to help young people get through school and find jobs. They have asked Toronto Police to help.

Somalis have highest unemployment rate of any ethnic group in Canada (gee, whose fault is that?)

There are an estimated 80,000 Somalis in Toronto, another few thousand in Ottawa and, community leaders say, about 3,000 in Fort McMurray, Alta.

For long, the community has battled poverty and unemployment. It tried to deal with many single-parent households. The unemployment rate for Somali-Canadians is above 20 per cent, the highest of any ethnic group.

Canadian Somali “kids” also thumbed their noses at Canada and went for jihad training in Somali.  Are we going to blame this on lack of services, or on what they are being taught in some mosques?

Between 2009 and 2011, at least two dozen young men from Toronto and Ottawa — and two young women — disappeared, allegedly to fight alongside Al Shabaab in Somalia, an Islamist youth militia aligned with Al Qaeda.

Canada: Former Iraqi refugee charged with stabbing to death another Iraqi refugee

There has got to be more to this story!

The alleged killer has been in Canada for a couple of decades and helps other Iraqis get to Canada and then kills one of them?  Hmmmm!

I’ll bet you a buck, the alleged killer has been running some sort of crime ring.   Why do I think that?  Convenience stores—he owned three of them!   In the US, immigrant run Convenience stores have become the hub in many cities for illegal drug activity and food stamp fraud.

From The Star:

An Iraqi-Canadian who helped fellow refugees find safety in Canada has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the stabbing of one of his own.

Azize Sepan, 48, fled Iraq in 1985 as bombs exploded around him and thousands of people died in the Iran-Iraq War. He was a registered refugee, sponsored by the Canadian government.

Since arriving in Canada, Sepan chose to help other Iraqis make similar transitions. He worked alongside World Vision, helping more than 100 Iraqis make the move.

On Wednesday, police arrested Sepan in connection with the fatal stabbing of 29-year-old Evan Gorgees — a fellow Iraqi who moved to Canada two years ago.

[…..]

It is unclear whether Sepan knew Gorgees or helped him move to Canada.

The Star directs us to another five-year-old story about Sepan where we learn of his “businesses” in Toronto.

Sepan, who owns three convenience stores, a flower shop and a trading company in Greater Toronto, was disheartened last August when his godfather’s application was denied. “It just doesn’t make sense,” said the 43-year-old Vaughan resident. “Private sponsorships don’t cost the government a penny. None of the people I helped sponsor here has taken a penny of social assistance.”

Someone should write a blog (or a book) about Convenience store crimes!  Do the work old time investigative reporters used to do!  Search RRW for Food Stamp Fraud and you will have the outline for your blog or book!

Canada: “Barbeque shooter” is a former refugee from Somalia

No, he didn’t shoot a barbeque even if the title of the article in CNews sounds like that is what he did.  He killed people eating barbecue in what is being described as a drug gang scuffle.

TORONTO – An accused gunman charged with firing a weapon at a Scarborough barbeque where two people were killed and 23 others wounded arrived in Canada as a refugee from Somalia seeking a better life, border officials say.

But the 19-year-old allegedly “fell in with the wrong crowd” after obtaining Canadian citizenship, officers of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) said.

The officers, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said since he has been granted Canadian citizenship, it would be nearly impossible to deport him in the event of a conviction.

Nahom Tsegazab, 19, of Toronto, has been charged with the reckless discharge of a firearm.

[….]

Officers suspect the gunfight, which was the worst in Toronto, stemmed from a dispute between the Galloway Boys and Malvern Crew street gangs over turf or drugs.

What, no Somali Hot Boyz in Canada?   And, just think the citizens of Canada have paid for his upkeep—to raise him and educate him for how many years we aren’t told, but surely now they will get to feed and cloth him for most likely the rest of his life behind bars.
