LA Times headline is deceptive (yes, can you believe it!)

Here is the headline of an LA Times story yesterday designed to give an impression to lazy readers that President Trump (the meany) has drastically cut refugee admissions.  He hasn’t.

Number of refugees admitted to U.S. drops by almost half

Their story begins:

The number of refugees admitted to the United States was cut by nearly half in the first three months of the Trump administration compared with the final three months of the Obama presidency, reflecting the new president’s skepticism toward immigration.

Further down, at least they try to be honest for readers willing to read more than the headline as they report what we reported ad nauseam and that is that the outgoing Obama State Department was pouring refugees in to the US at a phenomenal rate.

Obama at the UN last September just as he was opening the flood gates (wide!). http://www.lavocedinewyork.com/en/un/2016/09/21/obama-at-the-un-global-refugee-crisis-most-urgent-test-of-our-time/

The data suggest that the Obama administration, as it was about to turn over power to Trump, significantly stepped up the number of refugees admitted. Arrivals in its final three months reflected an 86% year-over-year increase compared to the same period the previous year.

In Trump’s first three months, arrivals were 12% lower than for the same period in the previous year.

But, heck, 12% lower doesn’t make for a headline designed to make President Trump look bad.
Have a look at the data for the last ten years (from Wrapsnet) and see the astronomical numbers that Obama was pushing through the pipeline in the final months of his presidency.

I’m getting sick of having to show how the mainstream media skews the news on refugees.  I bet you are too!
Then the LA Times story says this:

Trump has sought to limit the number of refugees to 50,000 this year. But adverse rulings in the courts could work against him.

As of today we are at 48,856, and at the present rate of arrivals we will reach 50,000 in a week to ten days.  I have maintained from the outset that Trump can legally slow or outright halt the number being admitted (under the ceiling of 110,000 set by Obama) at any time and will be watching to see how the Supreme Court handles this portion of the case before them.  (Decision is expected at any moment.)

Mark Steyn tells Tucker Carlson: "I'm a demography bore"

That comment was in response to the latest (this time failed) terror attack in a Brussels train station yesterday.

He went on to say: “Demography explains most of everything.”

If you have never read it, you must. Steyn’s 2006 predictions are coming true.

Yes, agreed Carlson.
Steyn related his comment as  well to the close Georgia House race yesterday to explain that demographic changes in Georgia made it possible for a progressive to even think he had a chance to pull off an upset there.  (Georgia is a leading refugee resettlement state, btw).
Steyn told Carlson in a two minute portion of a longer segment that when your city (in this case Brussels) is 25% Muslim because your country has made the fatal mistake to think that you can replace an aging population with a hostile culture, the country will see increased tension and chaos.  In my view, it will ultimately collapse into an Islamic state.
Carlson asked about Japan, and Steyn told him that Japan has chosen to NOT invite in the third world, that saving their unique Japanese culture was more important to them.  Only time will tell if the Japanese (and the Poles, the Czechs and the Hungarians) can do it.
As I have said repeatedly, only one way to save western societies (and countries like Japan), in addition to limiting immigration, encourage our women to have babies—lots and lots of babies!

For the Steyn demography segment begin at the 8:20 mark.

Today is the UN-designated World Refugee Day

The first World Refugee Day was held on June 20th, 2001 (3 months before 9/11) and it is used as a focal point, for open borders activists and leftwing media, around which to organize a political message.  So, you have probably noticed many stories in the last few days about the need for more third world peoples to be admitted to the first world.

Just to give you an idea, there are pages and pages of World Refugee Day logos like these around which to build propaganda campaigns (to guilt trip the West, especially the US, to take in more third worlders).

You likely know, but here (below) is a handy graphic to confirm that the US takes the majority of the refugees that the UNHCR is selecting for western countries from their camps. (BTW, recently a Somali man wrote to me to tell me about the fraud in a UN camp in Africa where people were being paid off to move certain applications to the front of the line. Of course, I have no way of verifying this.)
If you are scratching your head and saying, but doesn’t Germany take the most? the answer is that Germany is being flooded by ‘asylum seekers’ and economic migrants who have gone there on their own steam.  They are not considered third country refugee resettlement cases.
Germany will presumably sort through the hundreds of thousands of Africans and Middle Easterners and make a determination about how many will be given permanent residence as legitimate refugees and ultimately citizenship.
Favorite Open Borders talking point: small neighboring countries (to Syria) take more refugees.
When you see stories about Turkey (I’m posting one shortly) and their millions (?) of Syrian refugees, remember those are NOT people going to be granted permanent resident (citizenship) status in Turkey, likewise those in Lebanon or Jordan will not become voting citizens of those countries.

Resettled UNHCR refugees will be given citizenship in the country in which they are placed, so for this the United States is destination number one!

See here, from IRIN:

According also to IRIN yesterday, Canada is going to take up some of the 2017 slack that meany Donald Trump is supposedly responsible for.
Go for it Justin, let’s just make sure our northern border is secure!

117 Leftwing groups/refugee contractors oppose bill to BEGIN to reform refugee program

I haven’t said much about this bill re-introduced in Congress last week mostly because it doesn’t go far enough to really reform the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program.
In my view anything that leaves the United Nations choosing our refugees and the non-profit ‘religious’ (and secular) charities being paid by the head to place those third world people secretly into unsuspecting towns and cities doesn’t go far enough.

U.S. Reps. Raul Labrador, R-Idaho, and Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., reintroduced the Refugee Program Integrity Restoration Act on Thursday. Source: http://magicvalley.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/labrador-re-introduces-bill-limiting-refugee-program/article_0ac8aa8e-92e9-5e26-a081-1600491d5b93.html

The financial incentive (that per head payment) to unelected non-profit groups (who then lobby Congress) for more and more paying clients (aka refugees) must be completely abolished.
Halfway measures, as this bill represents, if it ever even got through Congress and to the President’s desk would take away any incentive for abolishing the Refugee Act of 1980 and rewriting the whole thing, so I’m not a believer in taking the ‘first steps’ as I am sure the advocates of this bill are calling it.
Read the text yourself, here, there are some bones thrown to states/communities to have some say in whether they will ‘welcome’ refugees or not, and there is some effort made to get at the fraud that we know is rampant overseas.
The only hope for real reform is if the Trump Administration has the guts to send a determination of ZERO (refugees) in September for FY18 with the proviso that Congress undertake total reform of our refugee admissions policy before any more are admitted!

President Trump or Congress won’t have guts unless you bombard them!

That is what the well-organized and well-financed Open Borders crowd does all the time! See here…..
Here is what the contractors*** and the Leftwing/social justice crowd are telling Congress about HR. 2826:

“….it would remove presidential authority to set the number of refugees who may enter the country per year.”

That last line of my screenshot (of a portion of the letter) made me laugh.  So, they are worried about the President losing his authority to set the CEILING—any President other than Donald Trump I presume! So far they have made it clear that Trump is not permitted to have that power!

Quick! tell the Supreme Court! They are admitting that the President  has the authority to set the number to be admitted to the US each year!

The letter continues…
Then here (below) are the groups that signed it.  If you are involved in any of these groups/churches etc. let them know what you think.
Many of the federal contractors paid to place refugees in your towns are on this letter.  The Ethiopian Community Development Council is not here nor is World Relief. Episcopal Migration Ministries is represented by the Episcopal Church (we learned here the other day that they are one and the same).
Also not here is the US Conference of Catholic Bishops. I have noticed lately that they aren’t signing on to this type of joint political letter.  Maybe you have gotten to them through your parishes?
LOL! You can tell how far Left this list is by the fact that SEIU signed it!

This post is filed in my relatively new category ‘what you can do’ in response to so many readers asking the question.
You can bombard your member of Congress, your US Senators, and the White House about what you think should be done about the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program. Then tell your church leaders what you think if your church signed on to this letter in your name!
*** This is the list of the nine federal contractors being paid by the head to place refugees in towns across America. Those in red below signed this letter of opposition to the House Judiciary Committee.

A picture worth a thousand words, civil war coming to Europe?

When I heard the news about the attack on Muslims leaving a mosque in London early this morning, I wondered if it was all ratcheting up, and dare I say, wondered if a real civil war was coming to, not just the UK, but to Europe as well.  It seems it is just a matter of time!
See this image that Voice of Europe put on twitter yesterday:

As you know, Poland is refusing to take Muslim ‘refugees’ demanded of them by the EU, see here last week.
President Donald Trump will be in Poland on July 6th.
My complete ‘Invasion of Europe’ archive is here.
