Here they come! State Department announces that 9,000 Syrians are on the way to the US

Update December 12th:  There are two other news accounts of this story you should see.  First, at Investor’s Business Daily: “US Vetting 9,000 Syrian Refugees To Weed Out Jihadists Before Granting Asylum.”  And, at World Net Daily: “U.N. sending thousands of Muslims to America.”  As of right now there are 975 comments to the WND article.

Where might they be going? Click here.

Anne Richard, Asst. Secretary of State went to that UN meeting in Geneva this week (we mentioned the “pledging conference” here) and dropped the bomb.  The UN has picked our Syrians for us, and if the war ended tomorrow, you can be sure that once the pipeline is flowing it won’t stop for years! Security is a big concern and apparently the reason for the delay, but we are taking them anyway!

Anne Richard Asst. Sec. of State for Population, Refugees and Migration: We take the refugees the UN picks for us.

From the Los Angeles Times (emphasis is mine):

The U.S. government intends to dramatically accelerate efforts to resettle refugees from the Syrian civil war and is preparing for a “surge” of thousands in each of the next few years, State Department officials announced this week.

[….]

They have some catching up to do: The United States has so far accepted only 300 of the more than 3.2 million refugees who have fled Syria since the war began almost four years ago.

The United States is the world leader in refugee resettlement, accepting 70,000 displaced people a year, more than all other countries combined.

[….]

But the U.S. has come under criticism from aid groups for its pace in taking in refugees from the Syrian war, which is by far the largest refugee crisis of recent years.

[….]

U.S. officials say the resettlement program has moved slowly because the United Nations refugee agency, which they look to for referrals, didn’t begin making recommendations until late last year. And the United States takes 18 to 24 months on average to carefully vet each applicant to make sure he or she poses no security risk.

In this next section note that we will take those “persecuted by their government.”  Christians are not persecuted by the government in Syria, but the Sunni Muslims are.  There is no doubt the majority of Syrians to be admitted to the US will be Muslims because it would be unlikely there would be a “security risk” with the Christians.

The State Department will resettle only the small minority who are in the most dire need, including the very young, ailing and elderly, and people who have been persecuted by their government. Even so, applicants have to be screened by counter-terrorism agencies, the Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security in a process that is more selective than what is used for anyone else who wants to enter the United States.

[….]

The screening has become more rigorous since 2009, when authorities were alarmed to discover that two members of Al Qaeda had entered the country posing as Iraqi refugees. That concern has been sharpened by worries that fighters from the Islamic State militant group may try to enter the United States, refugee advocates said.

On Tuesday, Anne C. Richard, assistant secretary of State for population, refugees and migration, said at a U.N. meeting in Geneva that the Obama administration was going to step up its efforts because the refugee outflow had swelled “to a mass exodus.”

She said that the department is considering 9,000 resettlement applications and that “we expect admissions from Syria to surge in 2015 and beyond.”  [Surge beyond 9,000?  Most likely as the contractors*** are agitating for at least 15,000!—ed]

[….]

At the Geneva meeting, 28 countries agreed to take in 66,000 refugees. But that was far short of the 300,000 Syrians that officials at the U.N. refugee agency believe need to be resettled.

Everyone reading this page from an already over-loaded resettlement city (or a prospective new one!), must contact your Member of Congress or US Senators and speak up NOW!  The chickens probably won’t listen, but give them an earful anyway!

Denver: Wanted! More information on Zar Yar and Yer Zit

Seems they are Burmese refugees arrested on a possible homicide charge, but there is so little news on the arrest that happened last week, that we think there must be more to the story.  The victim is believed to be an Asian and we know that the court has to find a Burmese interpreter, and that is about all we know.

Back in 2009 we learned about Burmese and Bhutanese resettlement in Denver when the refugees were regularly being attacked by thugs after being placed in low-income neighborhoods. http://www.denverpost.com/ci_14053322

If you see more on the case, please let us know.

Here is a local Denver blog referencing the case.  Westword (hat tip ‘pungentpeppers’):

Thus far, authorities have been stingy with information about a homicide that took place late this past Thursday night. The victim has yet to be identified, and while two men — Zar Yar and Yer Zit — have reportedly been arrested in connection with the crime, no photos or additional details have been shared. Here’s what we know thus far. Thus far, authorities have been stingy with information about a homicide that took place late this past Thursday night. [….]

….. law enforcers weren’t sure if a crime had been committed. But yesterday, CBS4 divulged that Zar Yar and Yer Zit had been taken into custody in relation to the death, which it defined as a homicide.

Nothing more about the suspects has surfaced beyond the station’s revelation that an advisement in the case had been put off until today to allow the court to find a “Burmese interpreter.”

We know a lot of Burmese of all sorts (and Bhutanese) have been resettled in Denver.  Reporters should check the resettlement contractors there for more on Yar and  Zit.

Also, keep in mind that taxpayers in “welcoming” communities must pay for interpreters for refugees facing legal charges.

Here is some contact information for resettlement contractors in Denver. Somebody knows Yar and Zit.  Why there are two offices for the Lutherans is beyond me, but keep in mind this is the same Lutheran outfit wanting to set up shop in Wyoming, here.

The newest “refugees”—Guantanamo prisoners sent to Uruguay

Clifford Stone, former Publisher of Slate magazine and now Obama State Dept. Special Envoy for Guantanamo: We are so grateful to Uruguay for agreeing to take these poor refugees (aka Islamic terrorists). Photo: http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/biog/219065.htm

Everybody is a refugee!

Update December 9th:  Of course they can leave right away, here.

I wonder how the true humanitarians feel when the word “refugee”—which they worked so hard for decades to produce only warm and fuzzy feelings of good will in the media and the general public when uttered—is now a dirty word.

Think about those Uzbek trouble-makers the Bush Administration brought here a few years ago—refugees.  Earlier the Clinton Administration airlifted about 20,000 Albanian (Kosovars) here who didn’t want to be here—refugees. Then there are those illegal aliens we are picking up in Malta—refugees.  And, who could forget the Somalis who said s**** America and your welfare, we are fighting for Al-Shabaab and ISIS—refugees.  And, last but not least the thousands of mostly teenaged boys who stormed the US border this past summer—refugees all!

Now we have Guantanamo Bay prisoners, captured on the battlefield, sent off to Uruguay as refugees!  So what is going to keep them in Uruguay, the weather?  From Fox News:

The U.S. government said early Sunday that it had transferred six detainees held at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba for over 12 years to Uruguay for resettlement as refugees.

All six men had been detained as suspected militants with ties to Al Qaeda, but had never been charged. A Pentagon statement on Sunday identified the men as four Syrians, a Tunisian and a Palestinian. They are the first Guantanamo Bay prisoners to be sent to South America.

There is more if you feel like reading it.

Wouldn’t you love to know how much we paid Uruguay?

Germans hardening on Muslim immigration; large number want halt to mosque construction

Germans demonstrate against ‘Salafists’ in Cologne in October. Photo and story: http://headlinestodayss.blogspot.com/2014/10/protest-against-salafists-violent.html

According to this report there are 4 million Muslims in Germany (about 5 % of the population) while the US (supposedly) has only about 2.7 million.  CAIR claims 7 million in the US, but that would still put the US Muslim population below 3%.  I’ve been theorizing that 3% is a tipping point of sorts.  What do you think?  I would really like to know what some of you think about a tipping point and when it occurs.

From OnIslam (emphasis mine):

CAIRO – A new study on German perceptions of immigrants to the European country has shown a widespread view that Muslims are not German patriots, blowing away decades of integration of the four-million Muslim community.

“We wanted to find out what happened here after the immigration and who now belongs to the national collective” sociologist Naika Foroutan, Director of Empirical Integration and Migration Research (BIM), was quoted by Deutsche Welle.

[….]

According to Der Spiegel, 27 percent of respondents think that Muslims are more “aggressive than themselves”, while 30 percent believe that Muslims show less importance to education.

A fifth of respondents expressed a negative opinion about Muslims making demands in Germany, with about 20 percent seeing it as a sign of disrespect and 17 percent seeing it as a sign of ingratitude.

[….]

Moreover, 70 percent of respondents believed that the number of Muslims living in Germany was higher than it actually is.

Almost a quarter even believe that more than 21 percent of the population in Germany is Muslim, while in reality there is around five percent.

[….]

Sharing negative connotations about Islam and Muslims, a big percentage of respondents to the study rejected construction of new mosques.

The study showed that 42 percent demanded restricting the building of mosques.

[….]

Germans have grown hostile to the Muslim presence recently, with a heated debate on the Muslim immigration into the country.

A recent poll by the Munster University found that Germans view Muslims more negatively than their European neighbors.

[….]

The report (a 2012 study) indicated that 9 percent of Germans have adopted extreme right-wing beliefs, up from 8.2 percent two years ago.

For our complete ‘invasion of Europe’ series, go here. We have a lot on Germany too, here.  Will the 20,000 or more Syrians that Germany is about to resettle push it over the edge? We will be watching.

Kansas City: Somali Christian (?) may be charged with hate crime for killing Somali Muslim

Here is a story that will make your head spin.  In the first version I read from two days ago it sure sounded like some crazy white guy who hated Somalis intentionally killed a Somali teen with his SUV.  CAIR was immediately on the scene.

Ahmed Aden charged with murder of Muslim Somali teen told police earlier that “people from Islam were going to kill him.”

Then after looking for an update, we have this story from late last night at the Kansas City Star that tells a different story.  Turns out the man arrested for the intentional killing of the teen is another Somali, supposedly a Christian one (very rare) who believed that the Muslim Somalis were out to kill him.

Isn’t diversity beautiful!

Kansas City, by the way, is (no surprise) a preferred resettlement community.  Check out who is bringing Somalis to Kansas City by going to this handy list.  One of the contractors operating in KC is a Jewish organization.

Kansas City Star:

Before suffering gruesome and fatal injuries Thursday, Abdisamad Sheikh-Hussein helped lead the evening Muslim prayers at his mosque near downtown.

“He asked for mercy for humankind and asked for humans to follow the righteous path,” remembered Ali Abdi, the assistant director of the Somali Center of Kansas City and its mosque.

But Abdisamad, 15, received no mercy minutes later as he stepped off the curb at 1340 Admiral Boulevard and headed toward a car. A Chevrolet Blazer speeding eastbound sideswiped the car and struck Abdisamad, nearly severing his legs.

The Staley High School sophomore died later at a hospital.

The driver of the SUV, Ahmed H. Aden, a 34-year-old Kansas City truck driver, told police after his arrest that he had been searching for men who’d threatened him nine days earlier. And he said he planned to kill those men if he found them, according to court records.

Aden told police that he intentionally struck Abdisamad, but he had mistaken the teen for one of the men who had threatened him.

Jackson County prosecutors charged Aden with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, leaving the scene of an accident and unlawful use of a weapon.

[….]

Aden, whom sources described as a Somali Christian, now is the target of both a state murder investigation and a federal hate-crimes probe, authorities said.

Members of the Somali community said that Aden long was known to have made frequent and violent threats against Muslims and the mosque, occasionally even threatening the mass slaughter of worshipers.

CAIR representative:  anti-Muslim graffiti on Aden’s car

Moussa Elbayoumy, chairman of the Kansas chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said a member of the mosque has a photo of Aden’s SUV, taken about two months ago, showing anti-Muslim graffiti, reading, “Quran is a virus disease (worse) than Ebola.”

Read on, some of those interviewed at the mosque think it had nothing to do with a Christian v. Muslim issue but that Aden was just crazy.

One more long prison term that US taxpayers will have to fund.
