Yes, dear readers, this is the same Cargill meatpacker that paid Somali workers $1.5 million over an Islamic prayer break dispute (reported here just last week!).
Cargill Meat Solutions of Fort Morgan is recalling 66.3 tons of ground beef products following an outbreak of one death and 17 illnesses that were reported due to E. coli contamination.
[….]
Food investigators determined that everyone sickened had purchased raw meat at grocery stores supplied by Cargill, Machuca said.
The identity of the deceased person has not been released.
[….]
In a statement on Thursday, Cargill said all of the affected products have been removed from supermarkets. Food safety teams are reviewing the Fort Morgan facility and others “to ensure we continue to deliver safe food,” the statement said.
“We were distressed to learn a fatality may be related to an E.coli contamination of one of our products,” it said. “Our hearts go out to the families and individuals affected by this issue.”
A little more here for those of you who might want to check the meat you bought earlier this summer that might still be in your freezer.
A personal note:
In the summer of 2016, I visited Ft. Morgan to see what the situation was there relating to the influx of Somali refugee workers for Cargill.
I haven’t bought beef since, and here is why.
I’m an animal lover, and we raised beef cattle for 20 years. We loved our cattle and treated them humanely, but they did become someone’s dinner. However, when I saw the miles and miles of feedlots with thousands of beef cattle standing in those hot feedlots going in to Ft. Morgan I was appalled. No cover from the summer sun and waiting to be slaughtered by Cargill, I was finished.
If you love eating beef, find a reputable producer near where you live and buy directly from that farmer or rancher.
The meatpackers are changing America with their desire for cheap immigrant labor, don’t send them your money!
I have no sympathy for giant globalist meatpackers because they brought this on themselves when they actively sought out (with the help of federal refugee contractors like Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service) Somali refugee workers.
However, what we increasingly see is an accommodation of Islamic religious practices in the workplace with this settlement and others like it. CAIR is very happy!
Big Meat! Changing America, one meatpacking town at a time!
Ft. Morgan has a mosque now. https://www.denverpost.com/2016/03/19/somalis-struggle-to-make-new-home-in-colorado/
DENVER — A big U.S. meatpacker has agreed to pay $1.5 million to 138 Somali-American Muslim workers who were fired from their jobs at a Colorado plant after they were refused prayer breaks, a federal anti-discrimination agency said Friday.
Cargill Meat Solutions, a division of Minnesota-based agribusiness company Cargill Corp., also agreed to train managers and hourly workers in accommodating Muslim employees’ prayer breaksat its Fort Morgan beef processing plant, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said.
Wichita, Kansas-based Cargill denies wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid further litigation, the federal agency said. The dispute dates back to the firings of the workers in late 2016 after management rescinded policies allowing Muslim employees to take short breaks for prayer.
In 2017, the agency found that the workers had been harassed and discriminated against for protesting the unannounced policy change that denied them opportunities for obligatory prayer. Hundreds of Somali-Americans work at the plant in Fort Morgan, about 50 miles southeast of Greeley.
The Teamsters union also agreed to pay them, an admission that they too were not happy with the Somali workers and their religious demands.
In a related announcement, a Teamsters union local that was supposed to represent the workers will pay them $153,000 to settle discrimination complaints.
The federal agency said it determined that Teamsters Local Union No. 455, based in Denver and in Fort Morgan, failed to advocate for the Muslim workers in their dispute with Cargill and even harassed them because of their race, religion and national origin. The workers were dues-paying union members.
Union officials denied wrongdoing, but the local unit agreed to pay the workers, undergo training in handling grievances, and publicize employee rights to be free of discrimination based on race or national origin.

Like other U.S. firms that employ Muslim line workers at meatpacking and processing plants, Cargill managers must balance religious accommodations with demands of processing meat in an operation that frequently runs 24 hours.
Managing possible disruptions not only slow production but can create safety issues for line workers.
Here comes CAIR:
The Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim advocacy group, and Qusair Mohamedbhai, a Denver attorney who represented the workers praised the settlement.
See my Fort Morgan file here. I visited that small city on my tour of midwestern and western towns and cities disrupted by an influx of refugee workers. I spoke with residents who told me that at one time Cargill paid very good wages, but then discovered the ‘benefits’ of immigrants and refugees who would work for less.
You might want to search RRW for the word ‘meatpackers’ because I have dozens and dozens of posts going back ten years about how BIG MEAT is changing America.
Here is just one postyou should see. It isn’t just meatpackers, but others in the food industry, the hospitality industry and other manufacturing companies that drive the US Refugee Admissions Program.
This post is filed in my category ‘Stealth jihad’for obvious reasons.
330 of these mostly single Muslim men held in detention by Australia have been placed in American towns and cities during Donald Trump’s presidency. Trump said we would take up to 1,250 (processing is continuing) that Australia will not allow on its mainland.
Every few months I have a look at the “Processing Country Map” provided by Wrapsnet(The US State Department’s Refugee Processing Center).
The new map is posted usually on the fifth of the month for the previous months of the present fiscal year (in this case FY18).
The processing country is the location where the ‘refugee’ goes through his or her paperwork processing and security screening. We are not told what nationality they are.
One is left guessing about who exactly is coming in from that country.
The latest map is below. You can find it here yourself (click on this: Map Arrivals by Processing Country and Nationality as of August 31, 2018) and you might want to look at it because it is accompanied by a table which gives exact numbers for each processing country.
For example, it lists Malaysia (a Muslim country) as having processed 1,443 ‘refugees’ in to the US this year. Those aren’t Malaysians, but likely a large number are Rohingya Muslims from Burma who have been illegally entering Malaysia over the last few years. They should be Malaysia’s problem, not ours.
Here is the map…
When you look at this map and see the countries where we are processing refugees consider how much fraud could be being perpetrated on America.
Let’s talk about some of the questionable processing countries.
But, first, I had been wondering for months why the rejects from Australia (the “dumb” Obama deal that Trump is honoring) weren’t showing up as being processed by Australia. Ah ha! Here they are! 234 were processed by Nauru and 96 in Papua New Guinea.
A total of 330 failed asylum seekers to Australia are now living in Yourtown, USA!
Other questionable processing locations are these:
Israel (133):Why are we taking any refugees from the prosperous country of Israel? If asylum seekers from Africa arrived there they should be given a thumbs up or down from Israel, not shuffled off to Yourtown, USA as a ‘refugee.’
El Salvador (624): What the heck! I thought the Trump Administration ended the illegal pick up of migrants from El Salvador that Obama had initiated.
Costa Rica (56): Who are these people (what nationality) and again why are Costa Rica’s migrant issues our concern.
Pakistan (409): There are a few Christians coming out of Pakistan, but no where near 409. So who are these Muslims we feel compelled to resettle from a Muslim country?
When you see images of Mediterranean ‘rescue’ ships, remember that some of these migrants who get to Malta are coming to the US as your new neighbors!
Malta (128): I havedozens of posts on Malta going back ten years. When I first heard of the resettlement Bush began from Malta, I was infuriated.
Malta is a safe European country but unfortunately its location in the Mediterranean made it a primary target for migrant ‘rescue’ boats which were bringing Africans and Middle Easterners to Europe by the hundreds of thousands.
So guess what! We kindly allowed some of those African illegal aliensto be passed along by Malta to Yourtown, USA.
Europe’s illegals are not our problem, but even Trump is continuing this questionable practice.
South Africa (128): So who the heck are they?
SA is the Rainbow Nation, right? Why does the State Department data base not tell us which nationalities are not being ‘welcomed’ in SA? Why are we taking migrants who got in to SA from elsewhere in Africa and bringing them to America? We know from past reporting that many are Somalis (if you didn’t know, black South Africans are xenophobic)! Why is that our problem?
Although, as I said, there may be a way to find out which nationalities are being processed in these countries, I can’t find it.
But, I did a check to see how many South African citizens we have resettled in the last 11 months and the answer is 1 (one Christian).
Donald Trump could do more!
The choice of which countries we work through to process refugees is a choice that is made through the US State Department and the UN. As I have said repeatedly the US Refugee Admissions Program must be completely overhauled by Congress.
Meanwhile, however, the President can do a lot administratively and one thing he could do is to reassess where we pick up ‘refugees’ around the world!
Who is to blame for that but the present and former government officials who opened the door to uncontrolled migration from Africa and the Middle East!
All of Europe will be watching as the country, considered the most welcoming of the welcoming countries of Europe, goes to the polls this coming Sunday.
We will be watching too because I’ve long predicted that Sweden falls first to Islamic supremacism, albeit they have some strong contenders in the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands. France under Macron is a top contender as well. And, then Spain has edged its way forward with its recent welcome of migrant transport ships.
On Sunday we will see if Sweden pulls in the reins in this race to cultural annihilation…..
‘New Swedes’ gather for a political discussion
Here the New York Times gives us a detailed rundown (with its normal dripping bias on full display) of what the stakes are and what might happen.
LOL! Even the title of the NYT piece says that if you oppose the socialist (open borders) government then you might not be moral.
Sweden Was Long Seen as a ‘Moral Superpower.’ That May Be Changing.
STOCKHOLM — In a civic center in Rinkeby, a heavily immigrant district of northwest Stockholm, several hundred people gathered recently for a forum on Sweden’s coming election and the future of the country.
The conversation, about the nature of Sweden’s democracy and the importance of voting, was sophisticated and passionate. But it was frustrating for one participant, Ahmed Ali, a Somali immigrant, who thought people were dancing around the main issue.
“The stakes are really high in this election,” he said in an interview. “There are more extremists in the country, and they have more influence. They don’t have a real political agenda. They just hate immigrants. And this xenophobia is happening all over Europe.”
As an angry and divided Sweden prepares to vote on Sunday, the shape of the next Swedish government is utterly unclear, because of the rapid rise of the anti-immigration, anti-Europe Sweden Democrats, a populist nationalist party that is expected to win a fifth of the vote.
A very important election for Afro-Swedes says Kahin Ahmed who opposes the recent surge in populism
“This election is very important to us,” said Kahin Ahmed, 48, who is running for a local seat, but complains that none of the Swedish parties put immigrants or black people high enough on their party lists to get elected in proportionate numbers, even in areas like this one. “There is a racist party moving forward fast, and we have to stop them.”
Sweden, long considered “a moral superpower,” as the political scientist Lars Tragardh put it, has traditionally welcomed immigrants. But that is changing under the pressure of globalization, immigration and anxiety about national and cultural identity. As in Germany and France, parties of the extremes, of the left and especially of the right, are increasing their support at the expense of those that have traditionally dominated.
Sweden “is joining the rest of Europe,” Carl Bildt, a former prime minister from the center-right Moderate Party, said with evident sadness. “And the myth of the Sweden model is melting away.”
The melting was in evidence recently in Sergels Square in central Stockholm, where Martin Westmont, a candidate for the Stockholm regional council, made the Sweden Democrats’ case to the voters.
Swedish Democrats is the party to watch!
“We’re the new wave,” he said. The election “will be a revolution.”He predicted that the Social Democrats, the party who built the famous Swedish welfare state, would collapse, “even if not this time,” and “we will become the largest party.” Many voters were still reluctant to tell pollsters that they would vote for the Sweden Democrats, Mr. Westmont suggested.
Populism has shifted the political discourse to the right and raised the temperature, even among the traditionally phlegmatic Swedes. Political support is fragmenting, with the long-dominant Social Democrats heading for their worst showing in a century.
They are called Special Immigrant Visa holders (SIVs for short) and they supposedly helped the US in some way (or they could have helped an NGO!), sometimes as interpreters. They and their immediate family members are welcomed to the US and treated with the same package of goodies refugees receive.
Also, we are told that the resettlement contractors are paid (by you) to place them as well, and those funds we’ve heard are helping to keep the contractors from completely going belly-up!
(See my post yesterdayabout the number of regular refugees admitted this fiscal year, the number is relatively low, but the SIV number is not! 2,196 Muslims were admitted as regular refugees, but add to that 9,166 Afghan Muslims in the last 11 months!)
Yesterday US General Austin Miller took over NATO command in Afghanistan. We have been there for 17 years. Here is what I want to know? If we continue to bring to America the tens of thousands of Afghans who willingly helped us, won’t only the worst of the worst be left in the country? http://www.foxnews.com/world/2018/09/02/us-general-assumes-nato-command-in-afghanistan.html
