Aderholt bill would block Obama amnesty; make it easier to send ‘unaccompanied minors’ back to Central America

I’m told that consideration of a bill by Rep. Robert Aderholt is moving fast, so I urge you to contact your member of Congress today in support of the Aderholt bill.

Thank goodness for Alabama, the home state of Senator Jeff Sessions.    How about Sessions for President in 2016!

From the Washington Examiner (hat tip: Cathy):

Republican Rep. Robert Aderholt wants to stop Obama from circumventing the Constitution!

On Tuesday Republican Rep. Martha Roby filed a bill, the “Prevention of Executive Amnesty Act of 2015,” to block President Obama’s unilateral action on immigration. Now, another House Republican has filed another proposal — this one more far-reaching — that would stop the president’s plan to offer quasi-legal status to millions of illegal immigrants.

The new bill, the “Repeal Executive Amnesty Act of 2015,” is from Rep. Robert Aderholt, who, like Roby, is from Alabama. The 44-page measure “not only defunds the president’s actions towards amnesty but also removes the president’s discretion in the ability to grant work permits, Social Security, and other federal benefits that go along with his order,” Aderholt said in a press release Wednesday. In addition, the proposal will “put limits on the president’s future ability to enact such wide-reaching actions that circumvent the Constitution’s separation of powers,” Aderholt said.

Continue reading and learn more about the bills, here.  Then this:

Finally, the bill would amend the 2008 law known as the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act, which allowed the relatively quick return of unaccompanied minors*** who enter the United States illegally from Canada or Mexico, but set up elaborate and lengthy procedures for children who come to the U.S. from non-contiguous countries. (Almost none of the children and adults who surged across the U.S. border illegally from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador last summer have been returned.) Under the Aderholt bill, they could be sent back to their home countries more quickly.

The Aderholt and Roby bills present the House Republican leadership with a choice. Should the GOP propose a limited, specific measure to rescind only the president’s action of last November? Or should it do that and in addition undo more of the damage the president has done to immigration enforcement during his six years in office? Right now, there’s no indication of the leadership’s preference.

Another test for Boehner and the boys!

NumbersUSA is urging action.  See what they say here.

Call your Representative, tell your House Member to support the Aderholt Repeal Executive Amnesty Act of 2015!

Obama: Big smooch for immigrant community organizer David Lubell

While I was busy last week with that bigger project, this is one story I wanted to post and didn’t have time for.  I am playing catch-up!

David Lubell, head honcho of Welcoming America.

Remember Obama went to Nashville last week to give himself a pat on the back for the fact that he had “welcomed” a few million illegal aliens to stay in America.  While in Nashville he invited David Lubell of “Welcoming America” to join him on Air Force One.

Before I get to the news, remember that Lubell is a community organizer who receives funding from you, the US taxpayer, through the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).

“Welcoming America,” a product of the Four Freedoms Fund (see history at their website) is working across the country to plant their open borders propaganda in your community. By the way, George Soros was one of the initial backers of the Four Freedoms Fund.

We first learned about Lubell’s gig, here, in June 2013 at a meeting in Lancaster, PA when the ORR announced that they had been hired to keep you in line—to tamp down any “pockets of resistance.”

Here is the news from The Tennessean:

David Lubell, who created the national nonprofit Welcoming America in Nashville, was recognized by President Barack Obama during his visit to Nashville on Tuesday for his role in supporting immigrants.

Obama smooch

Lubell is the founder and former director of the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition and built Welcoming Tennessee to build understanding between immigrants and U.S.-born residents. The project grew into Welcoming America, based outside Atlanta, and has since expanded to more than 40 cities nationwide, including Chicago, New York and Los Angeles, helping immigrants contribute to their local economies.

Obama met with Lubell on Air Force One as he visited Nashville to discuss his immigration policy. Speaking to a crowd at Casa Azafran, Obama acknowledged Lubell’s efforts in bringing immigrant communities together.

Lubell credits Nashville as being a catalyst for change nationally on immigration issues, pointing to its transformation from an area hostile to immigrants to one that embraces them.

Don’t believe it!

Nashville is still just as much a “pocket of resistance” today as it was in June 2013, when the ORR announced it had hired Lubell to get your minds right on immigration.  Be sure to see Lubell’s handiwork—Nashville school system a wreck!

Frankly, we need a countering force which sends out teams to help challenge (with facts!) Lubell’s propaganda and encourage citizens to keep asking questions about the impact of large numbers of needy refugees and illegal aliens on American communities.

The only problem is that our side doesn’t have any money, but their side does—it has your money!

Here they come! State Department announces that 9,000 Syrians are on the way to the US

Update December 12th:  There are two other news accounts of this story you should see.  First, at Investor’s Business Daily: “US Vetting 9,000 Syrian Refugees To Weed Out Jihadists Before Granting Asylum.”  And, at World Net Daily: “U.N. sending thousands of Muslims to America.”  As of right now there are 975 comments to the WND article.

Where might they be going? Click here.

Anne Richard, Asst. Secretary of State went to that UN meeting in Geneva this week (we mentioned the “pledging conference” here) and dropped the bomb.  The UN has picked our Syrians for us, and if the war ended tomorrow, you can be sure that once the pipeline is flowing it won’t stop for years! Security is a big concern and apparently the reason for the delay, but we are taking them anyway!

Anne Richard Asst. Sec. of State for Population, Refugees and Migration: We take the refugees the UN picks for us.

From the Los Angeles Times (emphasis is mine):

The U.S. government intends to dramatically accelerate efforts to resettle refugees from the Syrian civil war and is preparing for a “surge” of thousands in each of the next few years, State Department officials announced this week.

[….]

They have some catching up to do: The United States has so far accepted only 300 of the more than 3.2 million refugees who have fled Syria since the war began almost four years ago.

The United States is the world leader in refugee resettlement, accepting 70,000 displaced people a year, more than all other countries combined.

[….]

But the U.S. has come under criticism from aid groups for its pace in taking in refugees from the Syrian war, which is by far the largest refugee crisis of recent years.

[….]

U.S. officials say the resettlement program has moved slowly because the United Nations refugee agency, which they look to for referrals, didn’t begin making recommendations until late last year. And the United States takes 18 to 24 months on average to carefully vet each applicant to make sure he or she poses no security risk.

In this next section note that we will take those “persecuted by their government.”  Christians are not persecuted by the government in Syria, but the Sunni Muslims are.  There is no doubt the majority of Syrians to be admitted to the US will be Muslims because it would be unlikely there would be a “security risk” with the Christians.

The State Department will resettle only the small minority who are in the most dire need, including the very young, ailing and elderly, and people who have been persecuted by their government. Even so, applicants have to be screened by counter-terrorism agencies, the Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security in a process that is more selective than what is used for anyone else who wants to enter the United States.

[….]

The screening has become more rigorous since 2009, when authorities were alarmed to discover that two members of Al Qaeda had entered the country posing as Iraqi refugees. That concern has been sharpened by worries that fighters from the Islamic State militant group may try to enter the United States, refugee advocates said.

On Tuesday, Anne C. Richard, assistant secretary of State for population, refugees and migration, said at a U.N. meeting in Geneva that the Obama administration was going to step up its efforts because the refugee outflow had swelled “to a mass exodus.”

She said that the department is considering 9,000 resettlement applications and that “we expect admissions from Syria to surge in 2015 and beyond.”  [Surge beyond 9,000?  Most likely as the contractors*** are agitating for at least 15,000!—ed]

[….]

At the Geneva meeting, 28 countries agreed to take in 66,000 refugees. But that was far short of the 300,000 Syrians that officials at the U.N. refugee agency believe need to be resettled.

Everyone reading this page from an already over-loaded resettlement city (or a prospective new one!), must contact your Member of Congress or US Senators and speak up NOW!  The chickens probably won’t listen, but give them an earful anyway!

Obama Administration Office for Civil Rights pounces on Manchester, NH for not having Dinka interpreter

Every “welcoming” community that is either in bed now with the federal refugee resettlement program or contemplating snuggling up, should pay close attention!  Your state and local taxpayers are on the hook for interpreters every time an immigrant has a problem—in the school system, the health department and in the criminal justice system, most anywhere!    Just yesterday we wrote about Yer and Zit or was it Zar and Yar in Denver who need a Burmese interpreter to face the court on possible homicide charges.  Who do you think pays for that—you do (not Washington)!

Gatsas had previously ordered the Obama Dept. of Education Civil Rights Office to clear out for making inflammatory claims. I’m guessing they hold a grudge.

I do feel sorry for Manchester because whenever they first got into the refugee welcoming business they were either snookered or not told a thing about it until the refugees arrived.  Mayor Gatsas, to his great credit, has tried to slow the flow to the over-loaded city, but it may be too late—they already have 81 languages spoken in the school district!

Here is the latest from the Union Leader (hat tip: Paul).  No Dinka interpreter, sorry Manchester, that violent student is all yours!

MANCHESTER — District officials entered into an agreement with the federal Office for Civil Rights to return a student to school who had been slated for an expulsion hearing for assaulting another student.

The move has drawn strong criticism from at least two members of the school board’s Conduct Committee, which had voted unanimously to hold an expedited expulsion hearing for the student.

“The committee was blind-sided. This action does not support safety in our schools,” Ward 2 board member Debra Gagnon Langton, longtime chairman of the Conduct Committee, said at a Nov. 24 meeting. “I really think we need to vote on this. This is a violation of the public trust.”

Superintendent Debra Livingston replied that any discussion of the matter should take place in nonpublic session since it involved student privacy.

The complaint rests on the allegation that the district did not provide a Dinka interpreter to communicate to the student or his parents concerning his suspension.

Dinka is spoken by people from South Sudan.

[….]

As for the issue of language interpreters in the schools, Livingston said, “There are 81 languages spoken in the district. It’s very difficult to find someone who can translate all documents. What we’re trying to do is provide translation to as many students as possible.”

[….]

This isn’t the first time the district has drawn the attention of the OCR. Earlier this year, the civil rights agency entered an agreement with the district under which it would take concrete steps to boost the enrollment of black and Hispanic students in advanced high school courses. [Whether they deserve to be in those classes or not?—ed]

In August 2012, Mayor Ted Gatsas asked local representatives of the OCR to leave the City Hall chamber during a presentation in which they claimed that discrimination was a problem for minority students in the district. Gatsas accused the group of making unfounded and inflammatory claims.

We have a huge archive on Manchester, NH, click here to read the sad tale of an overloaded city trying to extricate itself from the feds and the entrenched contractors.

Remember that kerfuffle over the summer regarding nearby Dover, NH.  That was about spreading some of Manchester’s overload to surrounding small towns and cities.  Dover temporarily dodged a bullet when a public outcry erupted.

Where is Mark Steyn? Wouldn’t he have fun with the idea of a school district having to have a ‘Dinka man’ on call?

Uruguay President: “refugees” from Gitmo can leave whenever they want

No surprise!

President José Mujica of Uruguay, a 78-year-old former Marxist guerrilla: Don’t worry Obama—we’ve got your back!

With the magic transformation of Gitmo detainees (Islamic fighters captured on the battlefield) into full-fledged resettled refugees to Uruguay, the Obama Administration has made yet another move to completely destroy any vestiges of good feelings people may hold toward those labeled refugees.

His State Department’s recent announcement of a new “refugee” program for teenaged wannabe-legal immigrants from Central America was pretty over the top, but this latest “refugee” fraud takes the cake.

As we said yesterday when reporting about the Uruguay deal, the word “refugee” is becoming a very dirty word.

And, by the way, what is to stop the six former Islamic fighters from heading directly to the US border?

From NBC News (hat tip: Cathy)

Outgoing Uruguayan President José Mujica has made clear that Uruguay would not hold or restrict the six Guantanamo detainees who were recently resettled in his country.

“The first day that they want to leave, they can leave,” said Mujica in a Spanish-language interview with state television TNU.

The release of four Syrians, a Tunisian and a Palestinian on Saturday represented the largest single group to leave Guantanamo since 2009, according to U.S. officials.

In the interview Mujica — a former leftist guerrilla who was jailed during Uruguay’s 1973-1985 military dictatorship — said Guantanamo “was not a jail, it’s a kidnapping den,” adding that a jail suggests a “minimum of jurisdiction.”

Right now the Marxists and the Muslims are as cozy as can be, but when it comes to the final battles for world domination, what is your best guess as to who would prevail (assuming we have been destroyed)?  Just curious!
