Taxpayer-funded refugee contractors lead anti-Trump rally in DC tomorrow

The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS) tweeted to come on out to Washington DC tomorrow to ‘celebrate’ the one year anniversary of the President’s first so-called Muslim “ban.”
Here is the facebook page for the event.  If you happen to be in the DC area you might want to swing by and have a look-see.  Take pictures if you do!

PRAYER. RALLY. MARCH.

ADVOCATES AND ALLIES TO FORM HUMAN CHAIN AROUND MUSLIM PRAYER AT RALLY MARKING ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF PRESIDENT TRUMP’S FIRST MUSLIM AND REFUGEE BAN

Impacted refugees, leaders, and dozens of organizations rally in front of White House and march to CBP headquarters in protest of continued anti-Muslim, refugee, and immigrant policies

Washington, D.C. – Hundreds will join local and national Muslim, immigrant, refugee, and civil rights organizations at noon on Saturday, January 27th in front of the White House to protest the one-year anniversary of the first Muslim and Refugee Ban and subsequent bans that have discriminated against communities and dismantled the refugee resettlement program. Impacted leaders still affected by the current bans on Muslim-majority nations will speak about family separation. Refugee leaders will protest the most recent refugee ban, which alongside other policy changes is estimated to result in only 15,000 refugees arriving this year, just a third of the 45,000 cap set by the President – the lowest in history.  [Wow! They think it will be as low as 15,000! They will surely all go broke with so few paying clients!—ed]

A loving Christian representative of Church World Service?

How is this for timing!
I just wrote a post about how the ‘faith-based’ refugee resettlement contractors are NOT conservatives (here) as they were labeled as such in a story at Deseret News, and along comes this photo.
See the tweet below from Richard Falknor at High Blue Ridge.  So much for decent conservative Christians!
The Latina is wearing a Church World Service shirt as she makes herself abundantly clear.

Church World Service community agitators in action! “WE are here to stay.”

Just a reminder!

Your tax dollars fund 71% of the Far Left Church World Service’s budget!

Cut them loose Donald! Cut them loose from the federal teat!
Tell the White House and your Washington Representatives that you have had enough with paying for Leftwing political agitation groups!
And, if your church is a member of Church World Service you better speak up now!

Utah's Deseret News calls refugee contractors "conservative Christians"

In a report on what President Trump has done this year to make ‘conservative’ evangelicals happy, a reporter discusses the refugee program and names the federal resettlement contractors as being a group of Christian Conservatives unhappy with the President.

Trump faith leaders
Trump with evangelicals in the White House. I can assure you that no one was there laying on hands from the federal ‘religious’ resettlement agencies.

For most of the article the evangelicals are said to be happy over Trump’s actions so far. And, it is noted that 80% of evangelicals voted for him.
Then this:

Immigration and refugees

“When it comes to his very strong statements on life, on support for Israel, on the Iran nuclear deal, on religious freedom and on judges, we fully expect him to keep his pledge … to the American people.” — Ralph Reed.

After calling for a temporary ban on all Muslims entering the U.S., Trump has signed executive orders temporarily suspending the refugees program, banning Syrian refugees and restricting travel to the U.S. from several predominantly Muslim countries and giving preference to refugees claiming religious persecution. He confirmed to CBN News he saw persecuted Christians as a priority.

Those orders have met with mixed reviews from the courts, as well as from conservative Christians, many of whom are involved in refugee resettlement through faith-based agencies including World Relief, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services, Church World Service, Episcopal Migration Ministries and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Make no mistake, those five ‘faith-based’ ‘Christian’ agencies are anything but conservative.
They are actively Open Borders Leftwing political activist organizations. They receive almost all of their funding from you, the taxpayer, and then act as if they are community organizers in the mold of the now discredited ACORN. [I know all of my regular readers know this, but lots of new readers don’t!—ed]
And, of course the reporter never mentions the fact that they are seeing their federal funding cut drastically and so are mad-as-wet-hens over that!

The Mormon Church is donating heavily to those Leftwing agencies!

I wondered if the Deseret News from Salt Lake City was purposefully calling them conservative because the Mormon Church is sending millions of dollars to them at this time.
If you are a Mormon and politically conservative, you better let the church know how you feel about that!

Center for Immigration Studies: Feds have long ago usurped States' Rights when it comes to refugee resettlement

Don Barnett writing at the Center for Immigration Studies today explained in detail how states are forced to accept and pay for third world refugees admitted through the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) to the US and sent to 49 states.
Read this (these are the opening points in the ‘backgrounder’) and then ask: Where is Congress?
(Emphasis below is mine):

The State of Tennessee filed a lawsuit against the federal government in March 2017 claiming that the refugee resettlement program was an imposition by Washington over which the state had no control.1 The lawsuit is pending, but it highlights a deep problem with how the refugee resettlement program has evolved since the passage of the Refugee Act in 1980.

tenth amendment
The Refugee Act of 1980 has been so modified by illegal federal regulations that the states have lost their ability to control their own budgets.

This Backgrounder traces the history of the federal-state relationship regarding refugees, identifies flaws, and proposes solutions. Among the findings:

~Repealing regulation 45 CFR 400.301 could have the immediate effect of allowing states to withdraw from the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) and end initial resettlement activities in the state.2

~Today, states that withdraw from the program find the program continues in the state with the potential to operate on a larger scale than before withdrawal and with no state participation.

~As implemented, states have a limited and ill-defined role in the federal USRAP.

~Congress has shirked its responsibility to fully fund the refugee resettlement program.

~The federal government has shifted much of the fiscal burden of refugee resettlement to states. Three years of reimbursement for the state portion of welfare programs used by refugees in the state, such as Medicaid, TANF and SSI, was authorized by the 1980 Refugee Act. This support was ended entirely.

~The Act authorized Refugee Medical Assistance (RMA) and Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) for three years for refugees who do not qualify for cash welfare and Medicaid. This support was gradually scaled back; today RCA and RMA are available for only eight months.

~This cost shift to the states means the federal government is, in effect, using state funds to operate a federal program. In cases where a state asks to withdraw from the program, continuation of the program means the state has lost its ability to control its own budget and is deprived of its sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment.

~Consultation among “stakeholders” about where refugees are to be settled is ill-defined in the USRAP. At times there is no meaningful consultation with state authorities.

~The federal government uses a legally questionable regulation (45 CFR 400.301) rather than statutory law to allow private non-profits to operate in a state where the state has asked to withdraw from the program.

~By one reading of the law, prior to 45 CFR 400.301, there was no authority to resettle refugees in states that chose to withdraw from the program. In other words, prior to 1994 when 45 CFR 400.301 was introduced, the states were — knowingly or not — participating in and paying for a voluntary program from which they had every right to withdraw at any time with the expectation that no refugees would be resettled in the state.

Serious students of the USRAP, continue reading here.
And, I repeat! If there is no reform of the entire US Refugee Admissions Program in the next three years, simply reducing the numbers as the Trump Administration is doing is meaningless in the long run.
The President can and must, as part of any immigration reform, issue regulations in keeping with the original law wherever possible, and, or, tell Congress to rewrite the law if it is in our national interest to continue it at all.

If no permanent fix….

…..when President Trump’s term ends, refugee agencies and advocates will push for even larger numbers of refugees to make up for what they will dub the lost Trump years.

Flight glitch causes some delay as Australia's rejected 'refugees' head to US

More information about yesterday’s news.
Secrecy continues….

Which of these men is coming to your town?

manus-island-refugees-1-960x540
‘Refugees’ who attempted to break in to Australia were detained on Manus Island. Some are on flights to American towns and cities. Photo: https://thenewdaily.com.au/news/national/2017/11/13/manus-island-refugees-asylum-seekers/

Perhaps the most telling bit of this whole story at SBS News is the last line:

The transfers have been challenging for journalists to cover, with American, Australian and United Nations’ authorities refusing to confirm or deny the flights.

If this is such a good and humanitarian thing, why is it being kept from you?
We do, however, learn a few more nuggets from this latest report on the illegitimate ‘refugees.’
Besides one headed to Elizabeth, NJ, another young Muslim man (that Australia did not permit to come to its mainland) is headed to Knoxville, TN where he wants to study about human rights (will we see him out protesting Trump at the next election?).
Just what America needs more human rights agitators! Jobs Americans won’t do?

A transfer of about 40 refugees from Manus Island to the United States hit a road-bump in Manila on Tuesday afternoon when a number of men were unable to transfer to their flight to New York, SBS News has learned.

Organisers of the refugee transfer had given men tickets for a flight through Vancouver, but SBS News understands they were denied boarding because they did not have the required travel documents to transfer through Canada. Several of the men are stateless.

The men, who had been due to separate from the other refugees in Manila boarded the same flight to Los Angeles five hours later. The flight landed in LA at roughly 12:40pm Australian time.

The men, who have spent upwards of four years stranded in Papua New Guinea, will be settled in locations including Knoxville in Tennessee, Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, Elizabeth in New Jersey, Atlanta in Georgia and in North Carolina. Those transferring through New York will now arrive a day late.

[….]

Mushtaq Hussain, whose 22-year-old brother is part of the latest transfer, told SBS News his brother Sajid was ready to start a new life in Tennessee.

“He wants to study and work also, and he wants to see our parents because he was very young when he was locked in Manus Island,” the 29-year-old older brother said.

[Very young? He makes it sound like he was there as a tiny child. These latest illegal migrants detained on Manus have been there for a maximum of 5 years, so Mushtaq would have been 17. And, where are the parents, in Knoxville?—ed]

“He like human rights and maybe he will study about human rights.”  [Tell me why the younger brother couldn’t have joined his older brother in Indonesia instead of getting a ticket to America after trying to illegally break in to Australia?—ed]

Airfare ‘loans’

It is not clear if this special group of special people will have to reimburse US taxpayers for the cost of their airfare!
Readers need to know that ‘refugees’ are required to pay back the airfare, but they do it through the resettlement agency that then keeps a cut of what they extract from the refugees.
The US State Department refuses to reveal how many loans are repaid (see here).
So what is the penalty for not repaying the loan? They are told they will have a bad credit rating! No kidding, so some refugee from the third world who may not have seen toilets even is expected to be frightened in to paying because of threats of a bad credit score—-arghhhh!
SBS continues….

The US government usually requires refugees to repay the cost of their transfer once they are established in the United States, a request to confirm that this would also be the case for refugees under the Australian deal was not met with a response before publication.

After five years in the United States, refugees are eligible to apply for US citizenship.

Four federal resettlement contractors are named:

Upon landing at their final destinations, the men will be met by various American resettlement agencies, such as the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, the International Rescue Committee and the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants.

The settlement agencies are contracted to provide 90 days of support for new arrivals, including registering for identification and employment services and assisting with access to healthcare and education. [Mental healthcare and WELFARE!—ed]

More here.

Readers you need to get this information out as far and wide as you can.

Taxpaying citizens would be furious if they even knew!
Maybe Trump had a legitimate reason to go along with this “dumb” and costly deal that Obama arranged as he was walking out the door. I don’t know, but I can’t imagine one because Australia needs us more than we need Australia.
This we know….
The Australia deal is so outrageous and so unheard-of even in the refugee world, that it adds another black spot to the whole secretive UN/US Refugee Admissions Program.
If I was working for a refugee contractor*** I would be shaking in my boots.  If just one of these guys (who will be in need of mental health treatment) goes off the rails and commits a violent crime or terrorist act it will be another (maybe final!) nail in the coffin for the program.
We will be watching!
Australia “dumb deal” archive is here.
