Hillary Clinton tells big foreign bank (no surprise) she wants Open Borders

This is the first of a few posts I have this morning (I’m calling it secret Saturday) about the Open Borders, pro-mass migration Left, and their goals that will effect you and coming generations profoundly.

WASHINGTON, DC - OCTOBER 12: U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (L) embraces Center for American Progress President and CEO John Podesta before addressing the centers' "American Idea: A More Perfect Union" conference at the Decatur House October 12, 2011 in Washington, DC. Clinton briefly addressed a plot the U.S. government said it foiled to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States by elements of the Iranian government. You do not want anyone named Clinton or Podesta anywhere near the Oval Office come January 2017!

First, you could hardly have missed the big news that broke last night that WikiLeaks has released thousands of e-mails from Hillary’s long time pal—John Podesta (we mentioned him here just last Saturday).
It gives me great joy this morning to know that it was Podesta who was hacked.
One of those hacked e-mails contained sections of her speeches to big banks that she steadfastly refused to release during the primary season when her opponent, Bernie Sanders, wanted them.
Here is Julia Hahn at Breitbart on the big release!

In closed-door remarks delivered to a foreign bank, Hillary Clinton declared that her “dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders.”

This statement from one of Clinton’s private paid speeches was discovered in leaked emails of Clinton’s campaign chair, John Podesta, which were made public by WikiLeaks.

One email, which provided partial transcripts of some of Clinton’s speeches, reads in part:

“Hillary Clinton Said Her Dream Is A Hemispheric Common Market, With Open Trade And Open Markets.”

My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders, some time in the future with energy that is as green and sustainable as we can get it, powering growth and opportunity for every person in the hemisphere.” [05162013 Remarks to Banco Itau.doc, p. 28]

Will refugee flood gates open even wider if Hillary elected on November 8th? Yes!

Yes, I believe they will!
Today, October 1, 2016 is the opening day of the last of Obama’s driving efforts to change America by changing its people.
A few weeks ago he presented to Congress his determination to admit 110,000 refugees from around the world over the next 12 months with the largest numbers coming from the Middle East and Muslim-controlled countries of Africa.

But, if Hillary is elected president on November 8th, Obama will look like a piker.

Could Hillary dramatically expand refugee admissions numbers? Yes, she can! Will she? I think so!

No where did Obama ever say he wanted 65,000 Syrians admitted to the US, but Hillary is on record (Face the Nation, September 2015) saying that, and I am guessing that will only be the beginning for her.
After all, she just this week said that the foreign leader she admired most is German Chancellor Angela Merkel.  Merkel!!! who is widely believed to be destroying Germany and has thrown all of Europe in chaos with her ‘welcome’ of any refugee from Africa and the Middle East who can get there!
Remember the other day I wrote about the fact that the number determined by the President at the end of the fiscal year for the following year is a ceiling set by the President in consultation with Congress.
‘Consultation’ is a squishy term as we have seen for the last 35 years and is virtually non-existent (except for a brief chit chat between the Secretary of State and two key committees on the Hill).  Each September, the President sends up his refugee numbers for the upcoming year and for years Congress simply slipped his plan into a drawer somewhere and never even held hearings.  Senator Sessions’ hearing last fall (2015) was the first since 9/11.
The only real power the Congress has is to limit the funding for the federal agencies involved, something I have never seen done!
So, back to Hillary and the power of the Presidency as it relates to this law.
One of Hillary’s long time political allies is John Podesta, Chairman of her 2016 Presidential campaign. Do you know that his organization (an organization Hillary helped create with George Soros) proposed an AIRLIFT in 2009 of 100,000 Iraqis to America which they pushed on the new President Obama? He didn’t bite.
The plan called for Iraqis to be held offshore somewhere until they could be processed in to the US.  More recently Canada’s boy Trudeau airlifted tens of thousands of Syrians to Canada.  If President, could Hillary do this? Yes she can!

Refugee Act’s emergency provision

There is a very clear provision, which I don’t think has been used (the large crush of Vietnamese came before the Refugee Act of 1980 became law), but I think Hillary will use it.  By defeating Donald Trump, she will feel she has a mandate to open our borders. There definitely won’t be a border fence built and I predict she will use every lawful means available to admit as many migrants as she can, including the emergency provisions of the Refugee Act of 1980.
Could she add her 65,000 Syrians to the 110,000 refugees Obama proposed for FY2017, or could she go even higher?  Yes, she could knowing that the Congress, even if Republicans still hold the majority, is weak and will be further demoralized by her win.
Heck her role model, Mama Merkel, admitted over a million in the last year. Not to look ‘unwelcoming’ by comparison, Hillary could easily bump our numbers up to a quarter of a million!  (That would be in addition to the masses of asylum seekers—-phony refugees—now streaming across our southern border.)
See here (Refugee Act of 1980):

Consultation with Congress, big deal! No teeth! And, I expect no fight if Hillary is in the White House!
Will Hillary go there? Yes, I believe she will.

Baltimore: Crime/murder rates up, police force shrinking, and we are told refugees are bringing boom times

Of course consider the source of this glowing tale of how Baltimore’s economy is on the mend thanks to the large numbers of refugees and immigrants helping to revitalize the community.  The fluffy story is being peddled by non-other than Think Progress (think George Soros and John Podesta!).
But, first don’t miss the news from Reuters just two days ago about how Baltimore can’t find enough policemen for a dwindling force while the murder rate skyrockets.

One reason Baltimore is in deep trouble. Photo: http://moralmatters.org/2015/04/30/baltimore-mayor-stephanie-rawlings-blake-obama-political-puppet-suck-up/

Does it ever occur to the social engineering geniuses in the refugee resettlement industry/open borders movement that social unrest in inner cities could be coming from forcing ethnic diversity on a struggling African American community?  Do the American citizens see the special treatment refugees receive and does that cause some of the simmering anger to explode? (Remember we learned here that rioting blacks targeted the Arab-owned stores in those riots last year.)
Here is the Think Progress story that begins with the usual warm and fuzzy tale of a refugee ‘making it’ in Baltimore. (Don’t forget our news from yesterday about the storytelling propaganda campaign being spearheaded by the UN’s ‘The Hive.’)
We know from our research that refugees receive special grants and other loan programs that allow them to purchase homes and businesses—programs not available to the local African American community. Refugees also have special auto purchasing programs funded by you.

Some local politicians see refugee resettlement as a way to revitalize their cities and to harness talent and skills for entry-level jobs that many native-born Americans may not necessarily want to do. [What is this, ‘may not necessarily want to do?’ Might they necessarily want to do it if wages were higher? Aren’t wages depressed when large numbers of low-skilled refugees move in?—ed]

[….]

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has seen the value in resettling refugees in her town. Foreign-born workers earned about $1 billion in wages in 2011, with immigrants holding more than 27,000 jobs. They also own 21 percent of the city’s businesses, about three times more than the native-born population, a Baltimore City government report found. Beyond Baltimore, many other cities have found that resettling refugees could help grow the economy by allowing refugees to buy homes, learn English, and eventually become citizens. [Think Progress of course does not report on how much the immigrants take from the community in social service costs, school expenses, and certainly the criminal justice system!—ed]

So the star of this story came to the US after being an illegal alien in Malta!

Switching subjects!  This is the first time I have seen a media reference to the fact that ever since the Bush Administration the US State Department has been scooping up aliens/economic migrants who came to the island nation of Malta from North Africa ILLEGALLY, and presto-chango declaring them refugees!  I’ve been writing about this subject for almost nine years, this is just one recent post.
Do you know that when someone lands in Europe (for example) and asks for asylum that they are to be granted asylum in the first country in which they land (or rejected for asylum). But, the George Bush State Dept. changed all that for Malta.  We now take hundreds of Malta’s illegal aliens/economic migrants off their hands and transport them to America!
So, the star of Think Progress’s story was not a real refugee.  He was an alien who got to Malta and was living there for several years before, as he says, he chose to come to America!  WTH!  (See here, he was not a refugee!)

Admitted as a refugee to the United States in April, G.T., who asked for his real name to be withheld because he still has family back in Eritrea, didn’t always have a life this consistently American. He spent nine months trudging through Eritrea to Sudan, then another four months to Libya. From there, he took a perilous journey by boat to Malta, where he worked for three years and four months. While his own journey to Malta happened a few years before the European Union began facing a crush of refugees from Africa and the Middle East, his trek was hardly different from the one undertaken by millions of refugees traveling across the Mediterranean Sea.

In Malta, G.T. was happy “when I heard that there was a chance to go to America. Everyone knows that America has good opportunities,” G.T. told ThinkProgress in a phone interview. “That’s why I prefer to choose to come here.

Endnote: Think Progress ironically illustrates its story with a photo of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor which was created when some very rich and powerful developers, working in collusion with elected officials, condemned the homes and apartments of many of the city’s poor (including African Americans!) to develop the Inner Harbor. So poor people got the shaft and the supposed champions of the poor at Think Progress are apparently too dumb to know. One more reminder that ‘humanitarianism’ is only the cover used by the rich and powerful to line their pockets.

Fargo, ND mayor touted in story about Center for American Progress report on refugees

First, if you don’t know, the Center for American Progress is John Podesta’s creation. Podesta has been a long time friend of George Soros and a svengali of sorts for both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.  Clearly the Center for American Progress is now deeply involved in the refugee controversy (and in helping businesses find immigrant labor to compete with Americans!) and has produced a report (propaganda!) about how refugees help economies boom!
(I’m guessing they didn’t include San Diego in their study!)

Somalis working in Lewiston
Check out the cover of CAP’s report: Somalis working at LL Bean in Maine. Why doesn’t the Left ever admit that refugee resettlement is about $$$ for business interests, and voters for the Dems with humanitarianism as a smoke screen! https://www.americanprogress.org/issues/immigration/report/2016/06/16/139551/refugee-integration-in-the-united-states/

We previously wrote about Podesta and his Washington lobbying operation (CAP) here on several occasions.
Here is the Voice of America story that includes comments from Mayor Tim Mahoney who makes it sound like everything is sweetness and light with the refugees placed in Fargo, ND.
So who is really driving the resettlement of refugees in places like North Dakota? Big business?  And, who are the 33 businesses looking for cheap, captive (because they can’t go home!) refugee labor in Fargo?  Does anyone have a list?
VOA:

During a panel discussion last week in Washington about refugee resettlement, advocates reviewed the importance of local government being part of helping newcomers become familiar with a new reality.

Mahoney
Mayor Dr. Tim Mahoney says: besides cheap labor, refugees bring us culture, foods, and religion (what? Fargo was a heathen city in need of religion?).

“While refugee resettlement is a matter of global importance, there’s need to find durable permanent solutions. This is not the time to pull back, but rather an opportunity to lead by example,” said Winnie Stachelberg, executive vice president of external affairs at the Center for American Progress.

Cities like Fargo, in North Dakota, are not “pulling back.” According to Mayor Tim Mahoney, the community has come together to help refugees recover and build new lives.

“We have a great growing city. Good economy and things are happening,” Mahoney said, adding that every year about 500 refugees move to Fargo.

“We have found them an important part of our work force …

[….]

Mahoney said the city has a network of 33 businesses “healthily” competing to have newcomers work for them.

Any BIG MEAT in N. Dakota? Poultry processors? That is what I would like to know!

See our North Dakota archive here.  They have had some very interesting crime stories involving refugees in that state! Don’t miss the one about a Somali refugee murdering a Native American family.
Also, since Lewiston, Maine was invoked by the Center for American Progress, see our huge archive on Lewiston by clicking here.
Assimilation vs. integration! CAPs and the Leftist Open Borders gang do not like the word “assimilation” so you can see in the title of CAPs report that they use the word “integration.”  See our discussion of the Left controlling the language, here.

Think Progress has Rep. Brian Babin in its crosshairs….

…..not happy that Rep. Babin (R-TX) told Laura Ingraham we should only take Syrian Christian refugees.
No surprise that Think Progress should faint at the thought that someone might actually say ‘let’s prioritize persecuted Christians’ in our Syrian refugee stream.

Photos of Laura Ingraham in her studio after the Laura Ingraham Show, as she talks with her producers who are off camera. (Photo by Rich Lipski/The Washington Post/Getty Images)
In 2013, talk radio host and Fox News contributor Laura Ingraham called for a moratorium on Muslim immigration.

Think Progress is the media arm of John Podesta’s Center for America Progress, one of Washington’s hardest left (if not THE hardest left agitation groups) and a great friend of both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.  Here is one post we wrote on Podesta in 2009.
The article is a bit muddled indicating that the writer doesn’t understand the Refugee Admissions Program, but I’m posting this to show that the Left hates this argument—if we are going to bring in Syrians, why not Syrian Christians who we know are being persecuted and whose screening would be much simpler since they don’t have a reputation for terrorism.
Here is Think Progress writer, Emily Atkin, apparently gasping in outrage that someone should say such a discriminatory thing—America should prioritize Middle East Christians.

A Texas Congressman is calling for an immediate halt to the Obama administration’s plan to take in 10,000 Syrian refugees, saying the plan is a threat to national security and that more should be done to ensure Christian refugees are getting help.

Rep. Brian Babin (R-TX) appeared on the Laura Ingraham show on Monday to tout his latest bill, which calls for an immediate suspension of the Refugee Resettlement Program pending a “thorough examination” of the program’s costs and national security risks. The program allows the U.S. government to admit refugees when it is justified by humanitarian concerns.

But according to Babin, the program is a conduit for terrorist groups like ISIS to “set up bases of operations” in the United States, and should be suspended. At the same time, though, he said the U.S. should be doing more to accept Christian refugees.

[….]

….the vast majority of refugees to Europe are coming from Syria — and among those, the vast majority are Sunni Muslims, according to the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. And advocates say biases about which religious groups should be prioritized for resettlement could leave many affected Muslims in the dust.

By the way, one of the top posts of all time here at RRW is this one—Laura Ingraham calls for a moratorium on Muslim immigration to America.
See posts on Rep. Babin, here.
Just a reminder readers, that the number of refugees matters too—the US cannot take in the whole world or our economy will surely collapse.

Be sure to see Leo Hohmann’s latest at WND (from last night) on how the Left is reacting to the resettlement pushback going on in many states, here.
