Minnesota Somalis attempt to explain why their community is so attractive to terror recruiters

Update: It isn’t just Somalis in Minnesota, but apparently UK Somalis don’t feel they have enough taxpayer-funded goodies either as two teenaged Somali girls run off to join ISIS.

Powerline blog titles its post—Somalis say: Show us the Money—and then blogger Scott Johnson analyzed a couple of recent news articles where local Somali leaders say they need more night basketball.  Just kidding on the basketball thing, but do your remember Clinton pushing taxpayer funded basketball as a way to solve the crime crisis in black communities—in other words it was all about stuff, about more “programs”.

They don’t have enough to entertain the youths so the youths take up with Al-Shabaab or ISIS to while away the time.

Here is how Johnson begins his post and suggests maybe we should put a halt to all Somali immigration (refugee resettlement which is how most are getting in here).   Johnson is just thinking too logically!

We’ve got a problem in the Twin Cities that is based in our large and still growing population of Somali immigrants. Somalis have been immigrating to Minnesota for more than twenty years now. They have taken advantage of all the services that our state and local institutions offer. They have been welcomed with open arms, in Minnesota’s characteristic style.

Yet Minnesota’s Somali community — a/k/a “Minnesotans” — is the most fertile ground in the United States for the recruitment of terrorists by foreign terrorist organizations in Africa and the Middle East. We are concerned that they may choose to return “home” to Minnesota if they don’t get killed first. What is to be done?

Aside from monitoring imams and mosques, the first thought that occurs to me is freezing Somali immigration to the United States. I think this would give us the opportunity to get a handle on the problem while assuring that we don’t needlessly aggravate it.

In short, I take it from the two articles devoted to the forum that we don’t have a clue and that nothing useful is going to be done.

Read it all.   I am so glad to see that other bloggers and the media in general are beginning to report on this lunacy.

Of course the US State Department did slow the flow of Somalis to America back in 2008 when they discovered that tens of thousands got in here fraudulently, but the resettlement now is going full steam ahead.  The feds and the contractors have too much money at stake in the resettlement process, not to mention the fact that they are cowards!

As of August 31st (11 months into the 2014 fiscal year) we have allowed 8,278 Somalis into the US through refugee resettlement.  That is approaching the large numbers we saw in three consecutive years under George W. Bush, here.

Minnesota got 977 of the 8,278 Somalis resettled in 11 months of fy2014 (here).

Open a refugee resettlement office in your town and one day be like Eden Prairie, MN

Diverse to say the least!

In just ten years the school system there has become 36% immigrant—mostly Somali and Latino—and now requires “cultural brokers” for both groups so as to smooth their integration into the system.

Eden Prairie, MN is 12 miles from Minneapolis (enough said!).

This story is mostly about the Somali man who has been hired as the “communications specialist.”  But, what interested me was the list of languages the diverse student body brought to the school system.  Last year the system had 61 languages and now it’s 70!  Can your town afford this?

Need a refugee lawyer?

As I was looking around for more information on Eden Prairie I got a chuckle when I saw they have TEN “qualified refugee lawyers” in the town of approximately 62,000 residents.   Who says this hasn’t become an industry!  How many qualified refugee lawyers do you have in your town?  Maybe this should be the new gauge—when refugee lawyers move in, it is time to move out!

About the photo:  I was just scouting out crimes in Eden Prairie and came across this one very quickly.  I didn’t bother to look for others.  I wonder do those “qualified refugee lawyers” do refugee crime cases as well?  Here is most of what one commenter named ‘Red’ said regarding this story:

Locally, they are from Eden Prairie & Sshakopee, by way of Somalia. I am ashamed to admit I was once a supporter of their community integration & diversification. Then I was victimized by way of physical intimidation. Twice. On two separate occasions by men & women both. Now my heart is cold. Instead of taking the kids out, I study self defense.

So the “children” aren’t causing a financial crisis for refugee program after all!

Isn’t this just amazing!  Only a few short months ago Obama and his gang of thieves were poor-mouthing to Congress and the media about how the ‘Unaccompanied alien children’ streaming across our southern border were going to cause the refugee program to suffer (contractors might even have to lay off employees!) and as a consequence they wanted Congress to grant them billions!  Here is just one post of several we wrote—moaning in Minnesota.

And, isn’t it just amazing that as soon as Obama put off the amnesty debate until after the November election, the ‘childrens’ pipeline has magically stopped flowing.  I hope one day we will get the whole truth about who opened the spigot in the first place!

MIAMI — Groups that provide refugee services across the United States expressed relief Thursday after the federal government announced the release of $71.5 million it had reprogrammed in June to deal with the thousands of unaccompanied minors who crossed the border this year.

The Department of Health and Human Services told the states on Thursday that the money would be released because the flow of migrants had fallen.

Health and Human Services Spokesman Kenneth Wolfe said the funds were released on Sept. 15, adding there were no immediate plans to withhold funds in 2015. Originally HHS had said in June that more than $90 million would be withheld as the agency dealt with a crisis involving minors streaming over the border from Mexico. Unaccompanied children who migrate to the United States also fall under the auspices of the federal refugee office.

That number was slightly reduced later to $71.5 million, but groups across the country still scrambled to scale back programs such as English language classes, job counseling and tutoring.

“Today’s announcement ensures refugees who live in Florida will get the services they need to become self-sufficient and thrive in their new communities,” said Hiram Ruiz, who heads up Florida’s refugee services.

The funds are distributed to all 50 states with the bulk of the money going to Florida, California, Texas, New York, Michigan and Minnesota.*

AG Eric Holder: Citizens can’t use zoning laws to block mosques

More evidence of the stealth jihad?  You betcha!

I guess what Holder is saying is that gobbling up land, overcrowding roads, and overloading sewer and water systems is O.K. if it is done for Allah.  Note that this has stemmed from cases in Minnesota (the first state to fall to Islam?).

Hey, let’s distract them with the ISIS crisis while we establish the caliphate right here in America!

And, this is what I would like to know—where are the environmentalists who have spent decades putting land use laws in place?

The Grand Mufti of the Department of Social Justice (aka, DOJ) has issued a fatwa prohibiting states from using zoning laws to deny building permits for Islamic “culture centers” — Mosques with “youth centers.”

… as a grand jury investigates another Minneapolis mosque for radicalizing recruits for ISIL, the Justice Department is suing local officials for blocking a new extremist mosque in the area.

Attorney General Eric Holder sued St. Anthony, Minn., after the Minneapolis suburb rejected the Abu Huraira Islamic Center and its 15,000-square-foot mosque over zoning issues.

The mosque website openly endorses jihad.

The idea is to distract public attention by combating bloody Islamist organizations abroad and smooth the path for stealth jihad on the home front.

And, why do they need all these mosques and Islamic centers?

They need them to accommodate the growing Muslim immigrant population.  They aren’t converting that many Americans, it is immigration that swells their numbers.  It is called Al-Hijra, the Islamic Doctrine of Immigration (learn about it)!

Austin, MN: Meatpackers changing the demographics of American towns

There is nothing earth-shattering in this article from MPR News, but it’s just further evidence of the role the meatpacking industry is playing in changing towns in America’s heartland with its avaricious desire for cheap labor—refugee labor!  (Remember Senator Sessions called the meatpackers out here last year as a driving force behind amnesty).

We have been following this topic for going on seven years first brought to our attention by the turmoil created by Somali workers demanding workplace accommodation for their ‘religious’ requirements.  We have an entire category entitled, Greeley/Swift/Somali controversy, where we archived posts on the topic.

But, you know what is really funny (sort of) is that the meatpackers apparently got sick of the Somali workers in some places and must have asked the US State Department (and their contractors***) for some more docile workers like these Burmese Karen Christians or the mostly Hindu Bhutanese refugees we have been bringing in ever since Bush “welcomed” them in 2007.

The refugees are basically cheap, legal, captive laborers which you subsidize through the myriad social services they receive (see our fact sheet for the list of welfare programs open to refugees).

St. Paul is home to the largest Karen population in the country. But in recent years, Austin has attracted hundreds of the Karen and Karenni people.

Austin, a meatpacking town that has seen big demographic changes in the last few decades, started attracting workers from Mexico and Latin America in the early 1990s, followed by a wave of African immigrants. [The meatpackers used illegal labor from south of the border until the feds clamped down and then they discovered refugee labor thanks to Bill Clinton—ed]

The city’s growing Karen population is the first influx of minorities that has not been Latino or African, and the change has come fast.

According to the city’s Welcome Center, the number of Karen and Karenni residents in Austin nearly tripled to 1,224 this year, up from 463 in 2012. Driven out of their long-adopted home of Myanmar to camps in Thailand, the members of the two groups are flowing to the United States as refugees.

That means they can work legally, and some have replaced other immigrants at workplaces like Austin’s Hormel and Quality Pork processing plants, Austin schools superintendent David Krenz said.

Of course this massive plant in Austin would not have had Somali workers in the first place!  (Pork of course!).

The Minnesota resettlement agencies affiliated with the federal government are listed here.  They are subcontractors of the big Volags below.  BTW, they call themselves Voluntary Agencies (Volags), but that is an obvious misnomer as most are nearly completely funded by tax dollars.
