These Palestinians are illegal alien criminals, not heroes for trekking across the world to get here

There is so much I want to say about this Washington Times story, but my posting queue is so long and I am so far behind.
Remember this basic concept as you read this story.  LEGITIMATE asylum seekers are to ask for protection in the first safe country in which they arrive—they are nothing more than illegal alien criminals when they use smugglers to get them through 7 safe countries before they arrive at the US border and ask for asylum (refugee) status.
The Palestinian men highlighted in this story clearly had money and were not going to be patient to wait in line to be processed as legitimate refugees.

Mounis Hammouda
New American Palestinian Mounis Hammouda

They were simply shopping for the best deal (and had money to help them) as they left Gaza and passed through Egypt, Turkey, Cyprus, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Mexico to arrive on the Arizona border.
Here is just a bit of the story, you need to read it all (if you can stand the Washington Times pop-ups and other ads):

FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) – Mounis Hammouda and Hisham Shaban were stranded in Honduras, penniless after being ripped off by a smuggler who was supposed to get them to Mexico so that they could arrive at their final destination, the United States.

The Palestinian men had traveled across the world to escape bloodshed and torture in their homeland, and desperately phoned a friend in Canada to wire them money so they could finish their trek.

[….]

Some migrants cross into the U.S. illegally; others, like Hammouda and Shaban, turn themselves claiming asylum. They were among nearly 42,000 people to seek asylum in 2014 in the U.S., a more than 20 percent increase from 2010.

Immigrants claim asylum because they believe they will face persecution or torture in their homeland.

They can stay in the U.S. if an asylum officer and immigration judge determine that such a fear exists. Many are detained during this process, but some are granted bail while their request moves through the immigration court system, which can take years.

As you watch what is happening in Europe with hundreds of thousands of migrants arriving and asking for asylum, keep in mind this is happening at our borders too (just on a smaller scale so far)!  Once granted asylum, these illegal aliens are then eligible just like refugees for all of our welfare benefits, for permission to work and to ultimately become a US citizen.
Check out this other story this morning (hat tip: Joanne): Smugglers made $5 billion in 2015 moving supposed ‘refugees’ around the world.

NY Times does the ‘invasion of Europe’ boat people story

For our regular readers there is not much new here except that we get some details about one particular smuggling route out of Egypt and it makes me wonder why the hell all of the European powers and American pressure on Egypt too, couldn’t get the Egyptian government to stop this lucrative smuggling route.

Europe! Here we (single men) come! Photo: Reuters http://www.mirrornewsgy.com/mirrornewsgy/index.php/component/k2/item/1540-mediterranean-boat-people-numbers-soar-to-near-100000-this-year

Instead of really clamping down on Egypt, one policy consideration for the Europeans is to increase LEGAL immigration as a way of stopping the smuggling business.  Sheesh!

The ‘stars’ of this New York Times article are Palestinian brothers who survived a boat wreck and are now in Malta hankering to move on to a first world country.  Emphasis is mine:

Today, the business of smuggling refugees and migrants across the Mediterranean into Europe has become a hugely profitable, if deadly, enterprise, with more than 3,000 people believed to have died so far this year. One United Nations official estimated that in 2014 smugglers on those routes would gross more than $1 billion, with sophisticated operations that sometimes overlap with criminal gangs who traffic in arms and drugs.

For Europe, the enormous influx of migrants and refugees has stirred both sympathy and resentment, while presenting a policy conundrum — the humanitarian imperative of rescuing the desperate at sea versus the economic and political burden of absorbing them.

With illegal migration very likely to keep growing, one question is whether to expand legal migration.

[….]

By some estimates, as many as one million migrants are hiding on the North African coast, from Libya to Egypt, during the peak summer months, waiting for boats. In Egypt, smuggling in Alexandria and nearby ports has risen sharply since the Syrian exodus began in 2013, when five to seven boats left every week. Now five to seven boats leave every day.

The Palestinian survivors, looking for sympathy, want your help to get into some sweet country:

Today, the three survivors are living in a migrant center and trapped in bureaucratic limbo in Malta. They want to reach a country that will provide them asylum, perhaps Sweden or Canada or Australia. But on Wednesday, they must submit fingerprints and be processed in Malta.

“We need support,” said Mamoun Doghmosh. “We need help.”

Read it all.  Note that there are many places along this smuggling pipeline where the migrant flow could be stopped.

Please don’t anyone tell them that the US State Department is packing up illegal aliens in Malta and bringing them to America.  We will be taking another 500 this fiscal year!

Al-Hijra has a prize! Sweden breaks from EU to support Palestinian state

Update:  Diana West has a much more thorough post on Sweden today, here.

The radical move is blamed on the large number of Arab Muslim migrants (other non-Arabs, like the Somalis, add to the number) who have been “welcomed” into Sweden in the last few years and now have enough of a population to sway the Socialist government there.

Al-Hijra, as readers here know, is the Islamic doctrine of conquest through immigration.  No heads need to roll, they just must get into the country in great numbers, start producing the next generation and insert themselves in the democratic process.  It is all about numbers!

This is one more bit of evidence to back my bet that Sweden will be the first European country to fall to the Islamists.

Sweden’s new Prime Minister Stefan Lofven announced Friday that Sweden would break with the EU and recognize the state of Palestine now. http://www.cubiclane.com/2014/10/03/sweden-recognize-palestine-state-87949

Times of Israel:

Stockholm’s announcement over the weekend that it would recognize the independent state of Palestine was influenced by the vocal and growing Muslim minority in Sweden, Israel’s ambassador to Sweden charged Sunday morning.

New Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said during his inaugural address Friday that Sweden would recognize Palestine, a move that would make it the first member of the European Union to recognize a Palestinian state.

Loftven’s party, the Social Democrats, are “anti-Israeli,” ambassador Issac Bachman told Israel Radio, but another reason for the statement “is the large Arab minority, which has grown unbelievably this year.”  Bachman charged that Sweden has taken in some 80,000 Arab refugees in 2014, mostly from Iraq and Syria, and claimed there were 700,000 Muslims living in the country.

“All this against a social-democratic background, which is pro-Arabic, pro-Islam and anti-Israeli,” Bachman said.

In July, the Swedish Migration Board said it estimated 62,000 Syrians would apply for asylum in the country in 2014, among 80,000 expected refugees seeking asylum in Sweden this year.

And, now here comes that intellectual bright light, Jen Psaki, over at the US State Department with harsh words for Sweden (not!):

US State Department spokeswoman Jen Psakia said the US looks forward to working with the new government of Sweden — a close partner — but called international recognition of a Palestinian state “premature.”

Meanwhile in nearby Norway, the Norwegians are trying to get rid of their Muslim trouble-makers.

Report from Malta: Most of the hundreds who drowned trying to reach Europe last week were Palestinians

They were pretending to be Syrians.

And, of course their deaths will be blamed on Israel.  We wrote about this sinking incident here yesterday.

Sure looks like US taxpayers helped fund their voyage. The US is the top donor of UNRWA (the special UN agency just for Palestinians).

Just one of many maps showing migration routes to Europe. http://www.stratint.nl/2013/08/migration-routes-europe.html

Many paragraphs in to this article from the EU Observer we learn this:

The Palestinian men told the IOM [International Organization for Migration] they paid a “travel office” in Gaza $2,000 each using money from grants to rebuild their homes.

Haaretz reports, citing an anonymous trafficker, that some pay up to $4,000. They enter Egypt through tunnels under the Rafah crossing point, where buses drive them through the Sinai desert to safe houses.

The sea voyage to Europe can take a week because they are forced to keep changing boats.

The smugglers bribe Egyptian officials. They also have agents in south Europe who help migrants get out of detention facilities. Some tell the Palestinians to claim they are Syrians escaping the civil war.

The survivors told IOM their boat was deliberately rammed by traffickers in waters south of Malta on 11 September when the migrants refused to board a smaller vessel.

“After they hit our boat they waited to make sure that it had sunk completely before leaving. They were laughing”, one survivor said.

The traffickers had their money, and like most Middle Eastern Muslims they must see the Palestinians as pawns in their more important war with Israel.

Palestinians, the UN’s phoney refugees

http://freegazafromhamas.com/tag/unrwa/

Update August 22nd:  A new column by Solomon—the UN’s refugee welfare racket—here.

Update August 19th:  As Palestinian demonstrators take to the streets to protest an Israeli ship planning to dock at Oakland, we should be organizing a major campaign for the US to stop funding UNRWA.  And, of course, stop the migration of Palestinian trouble-makers to America!

We have written many times here at RRW about the ‘Palestinians’ as pawns, as the people doomed to be called ‘refugees’ from generation to generation perpetually cared for by a special agency (just for Palestinians!) known as UNRWA.

But, since those same ‘refugees’ have been in the news lately for building cross-border tunnels with money that came from your pocketbooks in order to more stealthily attack Israel, this article at the Financial Post is a good summary of what author Lawrence Solomon calls the “bizarro world” of UNRWA.

Solomon begins with this:

In the up-is-down bizarro world of UNRWA, the number of refugees only grows and grows

RIDDLE: You’re an American citizen, born and raised in the U.S., who has never set foot outside your country. You are also a refugee from a faraway land. What is the explanation?

HINT: Your parents and grandparents are also Americans, and they are also refugees.

ANOTHER HINT: Your children, born to you and your American spouse, are also refugees, and when they are old enough to have children of their own, their children will also be refugees.

This is not a trick question. Such refugees exist on this planet, not only in the U.S. but also in Canada and other countries. In fact, millions of refugees exist on this planet who have never set foot in the place from which they are deemed to have fled. But there’s only one place on this planet that these millions can have come from — Israel and the Palestinian territories — and there’s only one “people” on this planet who, for themselves and their children, can have this refugee status in perpetuity — Palestinians.

This bizarro alternate world is the creation of the United Nations, which established the United Nations Relief and Aid Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, or UNRWA for short.

Read it all.  One of the new things I learned was that Canada has already turned off its funding spigot to UNRWA. Why are we funding tunnels and rockets?  It is time for the US to follow Canada’s lead and do the same—cut them off!
