Amarillo, TX being destroyed by refugee overload

“Small ghettos” of competing ethnic groups have developed!

We have been writing about Amarillo, Texas (a ‘pocket of resistance’) for a couple of years (see our complete archive by clicking here).  Like so many meatpacking towns in America, federal refugee resettlement contractors*** got a foot hold there years ago (mostly working as ‘head hunters’ for the meatpacking industry) and have continued to pour third-worlders into Amarillo despite pleas by elected officials to STOP! (See our post just yesterday, here, about BIG MEAT).
***Update*** See more about Cargill, the meat giant, here.
***Update Jan. 15th*** For some reason this post went viral, please take a minute to read the comments esp. ‘7delta’s’ response to reader Keith Jones who said that sharia law is no threat to us.

Omar Jamal in Amarillo

From Watchdog.org (hat tip: Robin):

As Texas officials spar with Obama administration lawyers over refugee resettlement, Amarillo is building Muslim “ghettos.”

Under federal refugee programs, the North Texas town has become home to more than 1,000 Mideast migrants – giving Amarillo the highest refugee ratio in the country.

“Our education system is overloaded with kids who can’t speak English. We have something like 22 languages spoken in our schools,” said William Sumerford, a local taxpayer activist.

City Commissioner Randy Burkett is considering a plan to halt further refugee settlements. Burkett could not be reached, but Mayor Paul Harpole isn’t optimistic about the city’s authority to push back.

“We’ve been a giving community, and it’s a huge disservice to bring in refugees in numbers that we’re not able to handle. We create small ghettos,” Harpole told Watchdog.org.

Why do Somalis need their own government within American cities?  It is about Sharia Law! This is how it begins!

“A group of Somalis came in to say they had elected a mayor of their community,” Harpole related. “Then another faction claimed they had their own leader. We come to find out that rival tribes — slaves and masters — were being settled together.”

[….]

Mayor Harpole said the city’s schools are particularly hard hit.

“We have 660 (refugee) kids who don’t speak English and the U.S. Department of Education says they have to be at grade level within one year. It’s a ludicrous requirement — they don’t even know how to use the bathroom,” Harpole said. Washington pays schools $100 per refugee student per year.

And, here is a recent post about Cargill caving to Somali demands regarding prayer break times.  Cargill is one of four meat giants destroying America towns and cities as they lure cheap refugee labor to your community.
Photo:  I can’t believe it, Omar Jamal, was acting once again like the Somali ‘Jesse Jackson’ here in 2012.  I bet we have mentioned Jamal in 50 posts (more!) here at RRW over the years.  He was originally an illegal alien, but was never deported and he manages to get to every hot spot in America as the voice of Somalis.

Pennsylvania Patriots rally against more Muslim refugees for Lancaster

Editor:  This is cross-posted from my new blog American Resistance 2016!  This kind of education effort is to be applauded and copied!

Lancaster rally
Americans First rally in Lancaster, PA yesterday. “Vets B4 Refugees”

Two weeks ago I met a young man from Lancaster, PA, a vet who had done tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.  I asked him if he knew Muslim refugees were being resettled in Lancaster and he said NO! (expressing shock).
He may know more now thanks to the good work of the Patriotic Liberty League which held a rally in Lancaster yesterday. (Click here for our earlier report)  See the extensive coverage here at PennLive, a large paper out of Harrisburg.  And, be sure to watch the videos!
Of course the spin from the reporting was that the pro-refugee advocates (in support of more Muslim migration to Lancaster) outnumbered those opposed.  Make no mistake, by their support for more Middle Easterners and Africans for Lancaster, they are supporting the inevitable arrival of demands for Sharia compliance in the workplace and in government programs.
Church World Service (bringing Muslims to PA) is a multi-million dollar federal resettlement contractor.  Learn more about them here (they are lobbying for 100,000 Syrian, mostly Muslim, refugees to be admitted to the US before the end of this year.) It is because of Church World Service that I began writing Refugee Resettlement Watch back in 2007.
From PennLive:

More than 200 people rallying in support of refugees coming to the midstate at times drowned out speeches by those calling for a halt to them in front of Church World Service in Lancaster Saturday afternoon.

About 40 people showed up on the side of the “End the Influx of Refugees” rally in Lancaster, arguing for an “America first” policy and said money should be spent helping people here in need, rather than on helping refugees come here.

The two groups chanted at times back and forth across King Street, but it was a peaceful three-hour protest. Eight Lancaster police officers kept watch over the group, including three on horseback.

John Rentschler of Berks County, one of the anti-rally organizers, said, “I believe we can help these refugees, and should, but we should do it over there,” referring to their home countries.

He also said the Gulf Arab states should be doing more to help the refugees, and that they should be trained to form a militia “to take back their country.”

There is much more at PennLive, continue reading here.
Keep it up patriots. And, don’t worry about numbers.  You are educating so many and giving a voice to those at home who agree with you, but are fearful of speaking up.
Remember two years ago the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement assured an audience in Lancaster that there was no RESISTANCE to seeding towns with refugees and immigrants in Pennsylvania.
By the way, we heard from one of the pro-refugee demonstrators in a comment to my earlier post and this is what I asked of him:

For the record, so, you don’t have a minutes doubt about admitting large numbers of Islamists to Lancaster? No where is there a little niggling concern in your mind about the treatment of women and gays in the Islamic world? Do you think all of that is made up? Or, do you think that centuries of prejudice on their part will magically disappear once you give them a hug in that mythical American melting pot?

Over the years I’ve invited Leftists to explain to my readers (via a guest column) why they believe the US taxpayer must welcome mass third world migration to America. Will you write such a guest post? If you agree though, you can’t do the usual emotional appeal (country of immigrants blather) and you can’t call those who disagree with you racists, xenophobes, Islamophobes, bigots etc. Could you do that? Just explain in logical terms why it is good for America. Also, be sure to tell us if you have any limits. Is there some number in your mind that would be too many? Or, do you think our borders should just be dissolved? I really want to know.

Even if you don’t take me up on the offer of a guest column (no one ever has),I and my readers really want to know your answer to my last question—do you have any number in mind that would be too many migrants? Or, should America just be erased?

I urge all of you, confronted by those who welcome mass migration to America, to ask those last questions.  (Silence!)  We all know that if America’s borders were erased, we would be a third-world hell-hole in a matter of months.

Breitbart does a good piece on 'pockets of resistance,' Welcoming America

David Lubell with label
Lubell and his community organizers have more work cut out for them selling ‘diversity is beautiful’ after San Bernardino slaughter.

There is so much happening, we can’t keep up.
So, just now had a few minutes to read Michael Patrick Leahy’s article on Welcoming America’ and its role in tamping down ‘pockets of resistance’ to the resettlement of more refugees into certain cities and states.
And, wow, impressed that he found some information about Soros’ role in creating ‘Welcoming America’ that had been scrubbed from its website since I reported it in 2013.
Read the article which pulls together in one place some of our best information on the community organizers at Welcoming America and their role in selling the “seeding” of America.
While you are there, be sure to read some of the hundreds of comments as well!

Action Alert:  Call your members of the House and Senate at 202-224-3121 and ask them to vigorously oppose the Refugee Resettlement funding contained in the Omnibus Spending Bill that will be voted on by 12-11-15! Please call by this Friday, Dec. 4th.

In Texas, Leftist community organizers target governor over Syrian refugee stance

As you know by now, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has supported the call made by scores of other governors to halt Syrian resettlement to the state.

Texas is the holy grail for the No Borders activists (they want to turn it BLUE) and as such has been the number one state in the nation for several years to receive third world refugees.

(For background see especially our three part Texas series of posts from earlier this year, click here and follow links to parts II and III).

Caterine at governors mansion
Look for Leftwing community organizers like (bull horn) Joe Caterine behind protests like this one. It doesn’t look like “hundreds.” Photo: http://www.zimbio.com/photos/Joe+Caterine/Activists+Protest+Against+Texas+Gov+Greg+Abbott/as49AI-2wqv

It is no surprise that community organizers are whipping up the Syrian issue and protesting the governor as they did this weekend in Austin.  The governor has also been criticized by these same activists for TX role in the DAPA lawsuit.
Calling ‘Pockets of Resistance!’
Maybe folks in Texas ‘pockets of resistance’ need to show their support for the governor in some significant and coordinated way. (Maybe already in the works?)
See this news at The Texas Tribune and note that Catholic Charities of Dallas is thumbing its nose at the governor, and says it will resettle them in Texas anyway!  (Don’t forget that CC is paid by the head to resettle these mostly Sunni Muslim refugees in TX!).

A few hundred demonstrators, carrying placards and chanting slogans, rallied outside the Texas Governor’s Mansion Sunday to protest Gov. Greg Abbott’s attempts to block refugees fleeing civil war in Syria from settling in Texas.

Under the watchful eye of dozens of police, the protesters gathered to criticize what they described as xenophobic and misinformed policies aimed at the war refugees.

[….]

Abbott said last week that Texas would not accept Syrian refugees into the state, and he ordered the Texas Health & Human Services Commission’s Refugee Resettlement program to quit participating in the resettlement of Syrian refugees in Texas.

[….]

Leaders of the protest said refugees admitted into the United States undergo a rigorous vetting process and will come to the Lone Star State despite Abbott’s order, because the federal government has the final say even if states attempt to cut off financial support that would help them.

“They’re coming no matter what,” said Joe Caterine, head of the Syrian People Solidarity Group, one of the organizers of Sunday’s protest. “If we’re not helping them find a place to live and find a job they’re going to be a burden on the government.”

One group helping with resettlements in North Texas, Catholic Charities of Dallas, announced after Abbott’s declaration on Monday that it would no longer accept Syrian refugees. But on Wednesday the group reversed course and announced that it would continue helping them find homes in Texas despite Abbott’s order, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Don’t forget!  These protesters are demonstrating for Sunni Muslim Syrians, not all Syrians!

There are only a tiny number of Christian Syrians in the stream (chosen by the UNHCR) and headed to America, and virtually no Shiite Muslims are in the group.  98% Sunni Muslim!

I think you should keep pointing that out—these are protests FOR ONLY SUNNI MUSLIMS! There may be some Texans who are rightly worried for the Christians in Syria and they need to know that Christians are only a tiny fraction of those getting in to the US.

Who is the leader of the Syrian People Solidarity Group?

Know the opposition!  See more on Joe Caterine, here (with Solidarity Circuit’s Inter-Act) and here (he works for, or did work for, North Texas Area United Way).  More here.
Facebook page for Syrian People Solidarity Group is here.   It really should be renamed—Syrian Sunni Muslim Solidarity Group!

Guest column: This is not the time to let up!

Editor’s note:  As we mentioned here just recently we do publish important comments and guest commentary from time to time.
This is a message from one of our regular readers and an energetic researcher and advocate for our cause, Mr. Bob Enos of Willmar, MN.  We have all been encouraged by the national media attention to the problem of refugee resettlement which we’ve known about for a long time.  The abrupt turnaround by governors, many of whom hardly had any idea that refugees were being resettled in their states in the first place, is heartening.  But, it isn’t time for us to let up because, as Bob quotes Yogi Berra, “it ain’t over till it’s over.”
From Bob Enos:

In the aftermath of the most recent terrorist attacks in Paris, Russia, and Lebanon, I have received phone calls and emails from numerous, fellow activists who have been fighting the good fight against unbridled, forcible refugee resettlement in the United States. To be sure, it’s been tough sledding for us. The reaction from over 20 US governors and many state legislatures, demanding the Syrian refugee resettlement program be halted amidst security concerns, is a long-overdue validation of our concerns.

That said, this is not the time for us to become self-satisfied, smug, or complacent.

(Watch and listen to Mr. Enos making a presentation to a county council, here, last summer—just one example of what citizen activists have been doing to educate their fellow citizens and elected officials.)

The US refugee resettlement industry – and it IS an industry – has been knocked back on its heels for a moment, but let’s not forget, this is a multi-million dollar money-maker for “non-profit” organizations, meatpackers and various low-wage employers, and the United Nations. The Mob has killed adversaries over smaller stakes than this! These human traffickers – and that’s what they are – will reset, recallibrate, adjust their plans and p/r, and resume their business with renewed vigor; count on it.

We must keep up the pressure, on as many fronts as possible. The resettlement of Somali refugees in my home state of Minnesota continues unabated, even though recent studies indicate that the resettlement of ONE Somali family cost the taxpayers in the neighborhood of a half million dollars for five years. Just yesterday, an activist sent me an official document from the Stearns County, MN Family Services Department, indicating that its annual budget for Emergency General Assistance programs – primarily for housing – has been exhausted in three months. Stearns County contains the second-largest concentration of Somali refugees of any county in Minnesota.

We cannot continue to finance resettlement with a blank check issued by taxpayers, for a program they never asked for.

So remember: as the late Yogi Berra once said, “it ain’t over till it’s over.” Continue to press local, county, and state officials for complete transparency in refugee resettlement financing.

Contact your state legislative representatives – particularly those led by Republican majorities in states whose governors’ offices are held by Democrats – and remind them of the opportunity that these tragic attacks have provided. This is a way to honor the memories of those innocents who have died from acts of terrorism.

One final thought. In 1958, a book hit the shelves, called “The Ugly American.” It became a benchmark in political literature. It depicted the failure of American diplomats to be sensitive to the local customs, language, and traditions of host countries in which they worked. The term was later applied to American tourists visiting foreign countries who behaved obnoxiously, waving their money, running their mouths, making demands of their hosts.

Doesn’t it seem that the tables have turned?
