One of the groups organizing against Trump in Chicago was a "refugee rights" group

The Daily Caller has posted a list of the groups (it wasn’t just Media Matters!) who organized the disruptive and at times violent protest that shut down a Donald Trump rally on Friday evening in Chicago.

One group is the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR). (Note the Daily Caller reporter has garbled the name.) But below and here is what the DC says of a group we have reported on many times over the years. (See our lengthy archive on ICIRR here.)

I can’t emphasize enough that ICIRR and its companion groups, like the ones in Tennessee and Massachusetts, are not driven by ‘humanitarian’ zeal, but are hard left community agitation groups working to change America by changing the people!

The DC:

This radical leftist group, specializing in immigration, is a more extreme version of the far left version of National Council on La Raza in Illinois.

The group was featured in an article profiling some of the groups intending to protest Trump’s rally in the left-wing website, Progress Illinois on March 8 entitled “New Americans Hit The Polls In Chicago As Immigrant Advocates Gear Up For Anti-Trump Protest.”

“There’s a lot of really hateful rhetoric with respect to immigrants being voiced by candidates out there, “ICIRR’s Senior Policy Counsel Fred Tsao said in that article. “We want to show that immigrants are patriotic, contributing and eager to participate in the political process and to integrate into society.”   [Hey Fred, hint! It doesn’t help your cause to get poor immigrants and refugees out to events like this!—ed]

This group was not only instrumental in creating not only the most radical local immigration ordinance but championed the case which inspired the DREAM Act.

Go here to read more about ICIRR and other groups that organized the anti-free speech rally in Chicago.
Remember readers that when you make that foolish distinction and say LEGAL immigration is good and illegal is bad, groups like ICIRR are making no such distinction.  It is all the same to them—they want large numbers of immigrants to build a permanent voting majority for their Leftwing wet dreams.  See a list of their ‘partners’ here.
ICIRR’s former director, Joshua Hoyt, has moved on to a larger ‘change agent’ role, see a mention here.  He is the Executive Director of the National Partnership for New Americans, here.

Washington Post: Boo hoo, Syrian resettlement to US going sloooowly

It appears that the reason the resettlement of mostly Sunni Syrians to the US (less than 1,000) in roughly the same time period as Canada is seeding 25,000 throughout our neighbor to the north, is that the US is taking serious security measures while Canada is not.

Andrew Harper
The UN’s man in Jordan, Andrew Harper: Canada was able to get thousands moved to Canada because they are less interested in security than the US government is…hummm!

Obama has promised 10,000 will be resettled here before September 30th (the last day of fiscal year 2016), but so far deep in the bowels of our security apparatus some officials are taking their jobs seriously.  That said, the WaPo tells us that the screening is being dramatically stepped up right now.
Here is the Washington Post (skipping the obligatory ‘poster mom and kids’ that open the report!):

….by the end of February, less than 1,000 Syrians have made it to the United States, and resettlement experts question whether the United States can reach its target by September.

[….]

Between February and April, the State Department and Homeland Security Department are pulling in additional staff to Jordan to help interview more and more Syrian applicants. The U.S. Embassy in Jordan said 30 officers from Homeland Security have been posted to Jordan and a new facility has been opened. Similiar efforts are underway in Lebanon and Iraq.

[….]

The U.N. refugee agency, which first interviews Syrians and refers vulnerable cases to U.S. authorities, also have shifted into a higher level of energy. Staff have been relocated to Amman from across the region, with evening shifts being put in place. In phone banks, U.N. staff members call refugees who may eligible for resettlement.

[….]

Andrew Harper, the U.N. refugee agency’s representative to Jordan, said the speedy resettlement of 25,000 Syrians in Canada has shown what can be done. But the big difference between Canada and the United States, Harper acknowledged, is their level of security concerns.

More here.  It simply is not true what the ‘humanitarians’ claim that terrorists don’t get in to the US as refugees.  Even the New York Times admits they do, here.
Just a reminder!  If Bernie or Hillary are elected President in November, you can be sure there will be no interruption in the flow of Middle Eastern and North African Muslims to the US.  It will be all over for us because after 4 or 8 more years of unabated flow, erasing America will be a done deal.  Get everyone you know to the polls this year!

NJ Rep heading new effort to get tens of thousands of Syrians into the US ASAP

But some of the Democrats cheering earlier for more Syrians have dropped like flies! (amazing how edifying a few Islamic terror attacks can be!).
As you know, Canada’s boy Trudeau visited Obama in the White House this week which became the news hook for those members of Congress pushing for tens of thousands of mostly Muslim Syrians for your towns.

I was interested to see that 37 members signed the March 7th letter, while back on September 11th, 2015, 72 members had signed a similar plea.  So they’ve lost 35! (did Paris and San Bernardino drive off a few signers?).
Also, note that the letter this week doesn’t specify a number while their letter of September 11th (imagine the nerve to date it on that anniversary) said they want 100,000 Syrians seeded into America by the end of 2016 (the end of Obama’s term).
Here is the news at NJ.com:

United States Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-9th Dist.) is urging President Barrack Obama to follow our northern neighbor’s lead and take in more Syrian refugees.

In letter sent to Obama this week, Pascrell and other U.S. congressmen urge the president to use a visit by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Thursday as a chance to discuss taking in more refugees.

Pascrell noted that the U.S. has only taken in 3,000 Syrian refugees since 2011, while Canada has taken in 25,000 in the last four months alone.United States Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-9th Dist.) is urging President Barrack Obama to follow our northern neighbor’s lead and take in more Syrian refugees.

You might want to go back to the earlier letter and see if your favorite Democrat (they are all Dems) signed both letters or perhaps your rep has had a change of heart since Paris and San Bernardino.
Go here to see a map of Pascrell’s district which includes the location where Donald Trump observed Muslims celebrating on 911.
And, one last thing!  Any of you who are planning to not vote, or write in someone, if Trump is the nominee, remember, you will be voting for tens of thousands of Muslim refugees to be admitted to the US (under either a Clinton or Sanders Administration).

For a chuckle: Canadian says she will 'welcome' Trump refugees, but not the thousands of Syrian Muslims

I’m surprised the LA Times even published this woman’s remarks when asked how she felt about all those Americans who say they will move to Canada if Donald Trump is elected president.
Here is Elaine….

trudeau diversity
They think if they say it over and over again it will be true!

Elaine Munro, 62, is a retail customer service clerk in Almonte, just outside Ottawa.

“I would rather have a bunch of Americans than all of these Muslims [the Canadian government is] bringing in,” she said. “I am totally against that. They’re taking jobs that Canadians have. The [Canadian] government is setting them up better than how Canadians are being looked after. Healthcare is being overrun by [Syrian refugees].”

Readers here know that boy Trudeau promised Canada would take 25,000 Syrians within a few months of his election as prime minister and sure enough he has (much to the consternation of Canadians like Elaine).
Thousands are living in hotels (on the taxpayers’ dime) throughout Canada as the country doesn’t have an adequate supply of housing especially for large families.
Trudeau will be “on the hot seat” in a 60 Minutes interview to be aired Sunday evening, for more click here.

Tennessee update: REPUBLICAN Governor may be sabotaging Legislature on refugee lawsuit resolution

HaslamYesterday we told you the big news that the Tennessee Senate, by an overwhelming margin, voted to ask the AG to file a Tenth Amendment lawsuit against the feds on the refugee resettlement program now in operation in the state (it is run by Catholic Charities and the feds with no state role).
It didn’t take the REPUBLICAN Governor long (apparently ready to endorse donor-class favorite Open Borders Marco) to martial his supporters to attempt to derail the resolution in the House.

Here is the latest from Michael Patrick Leahy at Breitbart.

“On the eve of his expected endorsement of Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) for president, Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam is trying to surreptitiously bury a migrant-stopping resolution that was passed overwhelmingly by the State Senate on Monday.

The measure, which sailed through the full State Senate Monday on a 27 to 5 vote, is now pending in the House of ‎Representatives, where it is expected to pass easily.

But because of parliamentary tricks, it first faces a long, back-room journey through multiple committees before it can be approved by the House.

Beth Harwell
Tennessee Speaker of the House Beth Harwell with Koch brothers faux grassroots group sign behind her. Fascinating how everything is becoming clear in Election 2016!

“When I saw [Speaker of the Tennessee House] Beth Harwell put it [Senate Joint Resolution 467] in two subcommittees and two full committees I knew that was afoot,” one State Representative tells Breitbart News.

Governor Haslam cannot veto the resolution, but he is apparently trying to bury the resolution, which requests the Tennessee Attorney General to initiate a lawsuit against the federal government’s operation of the refugee resettlement program in Tennessee on Tenth Amendment grounds.”

About the photo at right:
Be sure to see my post on the Koch brothers and Americans for Prosperity here.  And, again here this morning.
In the heyday of the Tea Party movement the Koch brothers, obviously wishing to corral the Tea Party energy, created Americans for Prosperity.  It all sounded good, AFP supported lower taxes and opposed Obamacare (which helped the Kochs’ bottomline), but there was one big problem with the group as we all learned as time went on—they were silent on one of the major motivating issues of the Tea Party, namely immigration.  Charles and David Koch are open borders advocates.
The group, Americans for Prosperity, served as a shield (a sort of Tea Party stamp of approval) for Republicans apparently including Harwell and I expect Gov. Haslam as well.  However, again, AFP (which has pretty much fizzled) never lifted a finger against amnesty, the Gang of Eight bill, and certainly never to curtail the UN/US State Department Refugee Admissions Program.
Election 2016 is shaping up as a battle on the Republican side between those who want to limit immigration on behalf of American workers and those who don’t want to change the cultural make-up of their towns and cities; and those, like the Kochs, like Rubio and apparently like Governor Haslam who are in the pockets of the Chambers of Commerce and big business interests wanting the flow of cheap immigrant labor to continue.  Make no mistake, this is not about humanitarianism!
