St. Cloud terror attack at mall, 8 injured, but what's taking so long to identify dead jihadi?

Update:  Surprise! (not!). He is a Somali, here.
Update: ISIS says he is one of theirs. So they know who he is and we don’t (and it is nearly noon eastern). See ISIS taking credit here.
Sheesh, they know who this guy is, the one who went on a stabbing attack at a St. Cloud, Minnesota mall and was subsequently shot to death. So what takes them so long to announce to the public who the “man” is—a refugee or an American convert to Islam?
Did he act alone?
I’ve been searching and searching so at 6 a.m. on Sunday morning this is about all there is on what obviously was a terror attack (whatever else they want to call it).  By the way, we have written extensively on St. Cloud over the years and have visited the troubled city twice, most recently on my roadtrip to see towns and cities overloaded and troubled with large numbers of refugees.
From AP story:

Police said multiple people were injured at the St. Cloud shopping mall on Saturday evening in an attack possibly involving both shooting and stabbing. The suspect is believed to be dead, St. Cloud Police Sgt. Jason Burke told the St. Cloud Times. (Dave Schwarz/St. Cloud Times via AP)

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — At least eight people were taken to a hospital with injuries after a stabbing attack at a Minnesota shopping mall that ended with the suspected attacker, who reportedly made references to Allah, shot dead by an off-duty police officer, authorities said.

St. Cloud Police Chief Blair Anderson said during a news conference shortly after midnight that eight people were taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the attack first reported about 8:15 p.m. Saturday. One person was admitted. No further details were released.

Anderson said an off-duty police officer from another jurisdiction shot and killed the unidentified suspect. He did not say where that officer serves.

During the news conference, Anderson said the attacker who was armed with a knife reportedly made references to Allah during the attack and asked at least one person whether they were Muslim.

But Anderson declined to call the attacks an act of terrorism, saying the motive for the attacks isn’t known yet. “We will be diligent and get to the bottom of this,” Anderson said.

More when the attacker is identified.
I wonder did ISIS send out instructions and three of their followers were activated yesterday—in New Jersey, New York City and St. Cloud, MN.

Lesson from Greece: Migrants and local citizens involved in violent clashes

Election 2016 in the United States is a referendum on whether we will become Europe some day, or not!
America’s immigration/border issue is everything! Nothing else matters! Learn that hard lesson from European migration crisis!

Invasion of Europe news…

Greek police use teargas against Greek residents to break up clashes with migrants. Daily Mail photo.

From the Daily Mail (you don’t hear about this daily in America do you? Thank goodness for the UK press). The EU/Turkey deal is collapsing and the migrant surge has begun again in earnest:

Violent clashes between refugees and locals have broken out in Greece – as the number of migrants arriving from Turkey has doubled to 1,000 in just one week.

On Chios, local residents were sprayed with tear gas by police after hundreds marched through the main square demanding the removal of the island’s huge refugee camp.

On Lesbos, migrants have lead two demonstrations through the capital Mytilene demanding the right to leave the island and travel to mainland Greece having been stranded there for months.

Some 13,000 migrants are living in over-crowded refugee camps on the Aegean islands – many on Chios and Lesbos.

Dozens of Golden Dawn supporters twice tried to invade the sprawling Souda camp in Chios, home to almost 2,000 refugees, on Wednesday night.

Angry migrants responded pelting police and demonstrators with stones and chanting; ‘let us free, we want to go to Athens’.

ACLU files motion to immediately allow admittance of all refugees 17-21 to Lancaster high school

To taxpayers and parents in ‘welcoming’ communities nationwide, are your ready for expensive legal wrangling in your school system as your town’s refugee population grows? You better be!

Lancaster, PA has been a “welcoming” community for refugees from all over the world for years, and now they are receiving them at a rate of 700 a year.  In that group are teenage refugees who do not speak English and may have not had any, or very little, formal schooling.  Those teenagers/adults 17-21 had been placed in an alternative school until recently.

molly-tack-hooper
ACLU staff attorney Molly Tack-Hooper says refugees have rights to a quality education (even if it diminishes the rights of American kids). She didn’t say that last part but this is more of the same—refugees first! not Americans!

I told you about the earlier trial here which ended in a judge ordering those who brought the case admitted to McCaskey High School.
However, now here comes the ACLU demanding that the School District of Lancaster admit 90 students to the traditional high school immediately.
From Pennlive.com:

The ACLU of Pennsylvania has filed an emergency motion against the School District of Lancaster (SDOL) that seeks to force the district to enroll all refugee students ages 17 to 21 in traditional high school rather than an alternative school.

If the ACLU’s motion is granted, the School District of Lancaster would have to admit more than 90 refugees into the district from privately-run Phoenix Academy. In a news release, the ACLU pointed to the Aug. 26 ruling ordering the school to admit the original six students who filed suit against the district into McCaskey High School, adding that the ruling from District Judge Edward Smith encouraged the district to apply the court’s ruling to all refugee students of similar circumstances.

Noting email exchanges involving a local refugee resettlement agency*** [on the side of the ACLU–ed] and district officials illustrating a lack of desire for widespread change, the ACLU also said the district’s actions show it has no intention of honoring the court’s legal reasoning. Without intervention from the law, the the students continue to suffer irreparable harm from the enrollment delays and exclusion from the high school, the ACLU contends.

The emergency motion comes two days after the SDOL filed its own motion for a stay on the August ruling as well as a motion to expedite the appeal it formally filed Sept 2. The district enrolled the six students who sued and won but have not admitted any other refugee students, citing overcrowding and logistical issues, according to reports and its motions.

Where is the ‘pocket of resistance’ in Lancaster, or is it too late for Lancaster?

German humanitarian worker tells his (horror) story about working with "refugees"

Invasion of Europe news….
The best blog to read on what is happening with the invasion of Europe is Gates of Vienna.  Thanks to Diana West (via twitter) for directing me to this post from yesterday.  In this translation from a German publication, we learn first hand about how a disillusioned refugee aid worker came to his decision to quit.

germany-refugees-welcome
Germany: It is the most extraordinary thing to see—an advanced western society committing suicide.

Here is just a small bit at Gates of Vienna:

Farewell to Hope

In the end, the farewell was much easier than I thought, which is probably due to the exponential climb of my frustration, on all levels.

I have given up on my voluntary work as an assistant to refugees and migrants.

The many thousands of hours during which I tried to supply real help turned out to be utterly useless. Along with me, three other volunteer workers have also quit. There was no single defining incident. I had begun to notice that, for months, my work was senseless. Senseless in that the majority of the people with whom I dealt did not want to integrate.

[…..]

I am worried that our society will experience a monumental shift to the right because the pot will boil over in the next election.

The big lie! Refugees are being vetted

We hear Ad nauseam that Syrian refugees entering the US now by the thousands are being vetted in a process that has been shrunk from the original 18-24 months down to 3 months.   It is a lie, they can’t be vetted and truth-be-told neither can the Somalis, the Burmese Rohingya, the Afghans, the Sudanese, the Ethiopians and a good many of the Iraqis.
Forget the most egregious case, the Syrians, for a minute.
How do you find data on Somalis who have wandered all over the world, some on boats to Europe (to Malta!***) where we then pick them up and magically transform then into refugees for your town?

rohingya-boat-people-1
Vetting Rohingya boat people in Malaysia? Not a chance! Malaysia is a safe Muslim nation, why can’t they be granted asylum in Malaysia? Why has the Obama Administration admitted thousands to your neighborhoods? And, where are the Republicans in Congress?

The Burmese Rohingya are leaving Burma and Bangladesh on boats headed for places like Malaysia where we pick them up and Catholic Charities delivers them to your towns.
We are picking up Afghans and other Middle Easterners in, of all places, Austria in Europe.
Who are these men? Do we query the government of Afghanistan for background data on Mohammed who has ‘made his way’ to Vienna? These migrants are basically other countries’ illegal aliens that we take off their hands and put on welfare in America!
Here is a good description from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (hat tip: Paul) which talks about the use of ‘vetting jargon’ to lull the American public into complacency about their new neighbors.
From FAIR (emphasis is mine):

“Vetting” is a term rarely used in everyday English. Nevertheless, it has appeared regularly in recent coverage of the Syrian refugee crisis and the mass movement of Middle-Eastern migrants into Europe. Media outlets and government officials have repeatedly discussed vetting as if it were some magical process that grants access to otherwise inaccessible information. But what does vetting really mean?

Simply put, vetting means conducting a background check on someone. If you have ever applied for a credit card or renewed a drivers’ license, you have been vetted. Vetting may consist of conversations with references, as when applying for a job; or it may consist of a review of information found in computerized databases, as when applying for a home loan.

[….]

In the United States, we regularly engage in business and governmental transactions where we furnish personal information. That data is captured and stored in various databases. When we apply for a drivers’ license the DMV captures our names, photographs, addresses and biographical details. In some cases, our fingerprints are also captured.

Successful vetting is dependent upon access to information that is reliable and verifiable. Therefore, it is relatively easy to vet people who live in the United States. As they go about their daily business, their information is regularly captured and updated – and can be checked against multiple government or commercial databases. It is also relatively easy to vet people who come to America from countries where businesses and government agencies are operated in a manner similar to the United States – as long as their governments are willing to share information with the United States.

[….]

Problems arise when attempting to vet people who come from countries where there are few reliable public records or countries that are unwilling to share information.

[….]

Prior to its civil war, Syria did not share significant amounts of background information on its citizens with the United States. Even if Syria were now willing to share its information, the Syrian civil war has caused the destruction of many government records and very little reliable, verifiable information is currently being compiled either by government or non-governmental organizations operating within the country. As a result, Syrian passports, birth certificates, drivers’ licenses and other government documents cannot be adequately verified.

[….]

Although USCIS claims that all Syrian applicants for refugee status are being thoroughly vetted, this is simply untrue.

[….]

Hiding behind jargon connected with the background check process will not conceal the shortcomings of that process. The American public has a right to expect that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will not admit refugees, and other seekers of immigration benefits, to the United States until it is reasonably certain that they pose no threat to those currently residing here. Failing to deny admission to those who have not, or cannot, be completely and thoroughly vetted constitutes a complete abdication of DHS’s responsibilities to secure the borders of the United States and ensure the safety of the American people.

It isn’t just the Syrians!

Back to the Freedom Caucus and their phony-baloney plan to attach a bill to the ‘Continuing Resolution’ requiring the Obama Administration guarantee Syrians are being vetted, I say, what about the Somalis, the Burmese Rohingya, the Afghans, the Ethiopians, the Iraqis, the Sudanese etc.  They aren’t being thoroughly vetted either!
I checked the US Department of State’s data base for Muslim refugees arriving in the US for the first 11 months of the 2016 fiscal year (that is as of Sept. 1, 10 days ago) and here are some of the Muslim refugee numbers as of that date.

Syria: 10,600

Somalia: 7,967 (why are we still bringing in Somalis, it has been 30 years, does it ever end?)

Iraq: 6,840

Burma: 2,794 (they now have the Rohingya! flow in motion, look for 30 more years of this!)

Afghanistan: 2,128

Sudan: 997

Ethiopia: 456

(I didn’t do all of the Muslim countries)

Get this! We are constantly told that the refugees from DR Congo are all persecuted Christians, but this year alone we admitted 422 Muslims from the DR Congo!  In 2013 we promised the United Nations we would admit 50,000 total refugees from DR Congo over 5 years.
Without a doubt, these migrants fleeing war and failed Middle Eastern and African countries cannot be vetted!
It is time to DEFUND THE REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT PROGRAM!

***Someday I hope a real investigative reporter digs in to the illegal process the Bush Administration put into place where we take some illegal alien Africans who make it to Malta and transform them into refugees and bring them to the US. We have a massive archive on Malta here at RRW for your reading pleasure.
