Red Cross: Expect Huge Wave of Migrants When Borders Open, Vaccine Arrives

“We should not be surprised if there is a massive impact on migration in the coming months and years.”

(Jagan Chapagain, head of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies)

Last week the head of the International Red Cross made news when he predicted a huge new wave of migrants/refugees attempting to break into Europe (and elsewhere) driven by hunger at home and the promise of a shot to magically make the Chinese Virus go away.

He was primarily focusing on predictions for Europe, but it would all surely apply to our US borders as well.

See my post at ‘Frauds and Crooks’ this morning about measures the Dems would like to put in place to hamstring any efforts to curtail migration.  You can expect those to be on the front burner if the President loses to Joe Biden in November and the House and Senate are controlled by radical Dems.

From MedicalXpress:

Coronavirus crisis could spark ‘massive’ new migration: Red Cross

The devastating economic toll the coronavirus crisis is taking around the world could spark huge waves of fresh migration once borders reopen, the head of the Red Cross warned in an interview.

Jagan Chapagain, head of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), told AFP he was deeply concerned about the secondary effects of the pandemic.

Jagan Chapagain

“Increasingly we are seeing in many countries the impacts on the livelihoods and the food situation,” he said in an interview at IFRC’s headquarters in Geneva late on Wednesday.

The pandemic and the lockdowns and border closures imposed to halt the spread of the virus have been destroying livelihoods around the planet and are expected to drive many millions more into poverty.

Many people are already faced with the choice of risking exposure to the novel coronavirus or going hungry, Chapagain said, warning that the desperation being generated could have far-reaching consequences.

“What we hear is that many people who are losing livelihoods, once the borders start opening, will feel compelled to move,” he said.

“We should not be surprised if there is a massive impact on migration in the coming months and years.”

More migration forced on people by desperate circumstances, he said, will result in numerous “tragedies along the way”, including more deaths at sea, human trafficking and exploitation.

[….]

Chapagain, a Nepali humanitarian who took over as IFRC Secretary-General in February, also voiced concern that perceived health inequalities in the face of the pandemic might also provoke a rise in migration.

“People could feel that there is a better chance of survival on the other side of the sea,” he said, adding that another major factor would be “the availability of vaccines”.

The World Health Organization is spearheading a push to try to ensure that any coronavirus vaccine developed be deemed a “global public good”, to be made available in an equitable manner across the globe. [My personal guess is that there won’t be a vaccine anytime soon.—ed]

But the United States and others are racing to secure stocks of promising vaccine candidates, and many fear that wealthy nations and groups might gain access to the jabs first.

“If people see that the vaccine is say, for example, available in Europe but not in Africa, what happens? People want to go to a place where vaccines are available,” Chapagain said.

Changing the subject!

Although I am continuing to post here at RRW, I believe google and others have limited the number of readers who find this blog as Tucker Carlson reported is happening, see here.

Somehow they have not discovered ‘Frauds and Crooks’ yet, so a good number of new readers are finding it.  That is why, a post, like the one I wrote yesterday about the Somali refugee wanted on kidnapping and possible murder charges, is posted there.

It could also be that my recent lack of interest in posting at Facebook and Twitter has slowed RRW‘s readership.

France: Rwandan Refugee Protected by Church Arrested for Cathedral Arson

Invasion of Europe…..

You might have seen the news about yet another church torched in France, but maybe you didn’t see the follow-up.

From the Daily Mail (hat tip: Cathy):

Rwandan refugee, 39, faces up to 10 years in prison after admitting arson attack on Nantes cathedral

A Rwandan refugee could face up to 10 years in prison after admitting setting fire to Nantes cathedral.

The 39-year-old man, who has solely been identified by his first name Emmanuel, worked as a volunteer security guard at the 15th-century Cathedral of Saint Peter and Saint Paint which set alight last week.

Three fires had been started at the site on July 18 and it took 104 firefighters to control the blaze which tore through the building and caused millions of pounds worth of damage.

The Rwandan refugee was questioned for a second time yesterday by prosecutors and he was placed under formal investigation early this morning after confessing to setting fire to the cathedral, French newspaper Le Monde reported.

[….]

Emmanuel was being housed by the Nantes diocese, having arrived in France five years ago, and was one of seven security guards at the cathedral.

On the day of the fire he was responsible for locking up the cathedral, which was started in 1434 and took more than four centuries to complete.

Hours later, fire and thick black smoke could be seen pouring out of the building, causing millions of pounds worth of damage.

The main organ, which dated back to 1621, was completely destroyed, along with priceless stained glass.

[….]

He served at the altar,’ said Father Champenois, before Emmanuel was charged. ‘He was well liked. He was a Rwandan refugee who took steps to obtain papers in France.’

Michel Bourcier, the cathedral organist, said: ‘We have been saying hello and good evening for several years. He is extremely courteous.’

It is presumed that “Emmanuel” is a Christian, but you never know since when advancing their cause, Muslims are permitted to lie.

And, don’t forget!  Just because a refugee is (or says he is!) a Christian it doesn’t automatically mean he/she is a good person!

Race war???

Reader Paul sent this yesterday ( a post from last year) about the coming race war in Europe.  It’s a good read and it might be worth buying the book.

Too Cool! Red Bull CEO Fires Execs Pushing BLM BS!

The piece is at Revolver (hat tip: Judy).

So what does this have to do with refugees—a lot it appears.

CEO is not exactly a fan of forcing ‘diversity’ (refugees) on his native Austria, so apparently he was going to be sure his company in North America understands exactly where he is coming from.

Red Bull Just Purged High-Level Execs Who Pushed for ‘Diversity and Inclusion’

Red Bull just reminded their ‘wokest’ employees who calls the shots in a total massacre of “social justice warrior” employees.

Red Bull CEO Dietrich Mateschitz and fired executive Amy Taylor.

Not only were the top two North American executives fired, but so were entire marketing teams and “culture” teams that were dedicated to pushing the lie of systemic racism.

Red Bull has just shown the way forward for all who want to prevent a total Marxist-style takeover of business and government in America. There is no appeasing these people, the only way forward is to fire them as quickly as possible, and with no mercy. Err on the side of firing everyone, if need be.

What this country needs, at every level of society, academia, and government, is a total and complete purge of ‘woke’ revolutionaries, before the blood starts running in the streets.

[….]

It turns out that the CEO of Red Bull is a pretty cool guy. From Daily Mail:

Red Bull’s billionaire CEO Dietrich Mateschitz is a Donald Trump admirer who has spoken out against ‘political correctness’.

The 76-year-old tycoon also owns a media firm which has been criticized for giving a platform to far-right activists in his native Austria.

The company’s global CEO is Austrian billionaire Dietrich Mateschitz, who has an estimated fortune of $26billion and owns a private island in Fiji.

In a 2017 interview, Mateschitz expressed sympathy with Donald Trump and said the new president ‘simply needs time’.

‘I don’t think he’s as much of an idiot as he’s made out to be,’ he told the newspaper Kleine Zeitung at the time.

‘When you speak to Americans you often hear that they’re essentially happy to have a new administration. There was plenty to question about the previous one,’ he said, referring to the Obama administration.

Raging at ‘political correctness’ and the ‘intellectual elite’, Mateschitz was also highly critical of Germany and Austria for opening their doors at the height of the 2015 refugee crisis.

Taking aim at those who encouraged refugees or used Angela Merkel’s slogan of ‘we’ll manage it’, he said that none of those people ‘made their guest rooms available for five migrants to live in’. [Daily Mail]

Long Live Dietrich Mateschitz.

The Transformation of Western Civilization More Advanced in Europe

Granted that I just this morning advised readers that it was time to focus on keeping your family and your local patriot community prepared and safe for the sure-to-expand civil unrest leading up to and following the 2020 Presidential election and curtail some of your news-reading addiction, I can’t resist directing you to some reading about Europe.

First, see what I said at ‘Frauds and Crooks’ and then see this screenshot at Borderhawk’s Eye on Europe.

There is no one coming to save us from the same fate.  We don’t have a Viktor Orban!

Go to work with your family and local friends and plan for how you will first, survive, and then put any extra time you have into ousting politicians who are leading us to the brink.  We must resist becoming Europe if it isn’t already too late!

Denmark Telling Syrian Refugees that it is Time to Go Home!

Human rights activists, of course, condemn such action!

Invasion of Europe News…

Remember this story from 2006 as you read about how those mean Danes want to send Syrians home!

In 2006, Syrians in Damascus torched the Danish embassy over those Mohammed cartoons.  And, yet now Danes are expected to welcome and pay for the upkeep of Syrian Muslim refugees!

Thousands of angry Syrian demonstrators storm the Danish Embassy in Damascus, Syria, on Saturday and set fire to the Embassy building in protest of offensive caricatures of Islam’s prophet. . (AP Photo Bassem Tellawi).

From Middle East Monitor:

Denmark may return Syria refugees as Damascus area deemed ‘safe’

(Should have blocked their entry in the first place!)

Denmark is considering sending Syrian refugees home as it deems areas under the regime of President Bashar Al-Assad in Damascus safe, Sputnik reported.

The Danish government is fast-tracking a review of residence permits for some 900 Syrian refugees from Damascus, claiming that Damascus is safe, leaving there no reason for them to warrant Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

In the announcement, Danish Integration Minister Mattias Tesfaye said that any refugees forced to return would be given travel money.

“Last year, there were almost 100,000 refugees returning to Syria from the surrounding areas. I think it is fair that the people who live here in Europe also return home if they don’t need protection,” Tesfaye added.

The announcement has come under severe criticism from human rights campaigners who point out that no area of Syria is currently safe to return to.

Some Syrian experts condemned the decision emphasising that anyone who returns is at risk, and that Denmark is setting a dangerous precedent for the treatment of Syrians by EU countries.

Meanwhile, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees stressed that there was no prospect for a peaceful solution to the long-standing conflict in Syria.

Elisabeth Arnsdorf Haslund

“Unless the situation in Syria is significantly improved in terms of ensuring protection for the population, UNHCR calls on states that have received Syrian refugees – including Denmark – to continue their protection,” UNHCR spokeswoman Elisabeth Arnsdorf Haslund said.

Since 2019, the Danish government has been considering that Damascus and its region are safe places and says the refugees must return there.

Last December, Denmark became the first country to deny a Syrian asylum seeker on the basis that the country is safe, despite continued killings of civilians due to air strikes.
