Right on cue! Immigrant riots break out in Sweden

Although such crime and riots are not new to us, apparently a very large number of liberals (and some Republicans too!) did not know that Sweden was so close to the edge.

But actually of greater interest than the fact that this latest violence seemed to break out on cue after Donald Trump commented Saturday on the trouble Sweden was having with Muslim migrants, is the fact that CNN this morning actually reported on it!
Here is CNN:

Stockholm, Sweden (CNN)Riots broke out in a predominantly immigrant neighborhood of Stockholm Monday night, as residents clashed with police officers and set vehicles on fire, Swedish police say.

Officers were forced to call in reinforcements when a crowd began to gather in the suburb of Rinkeby during the arrest of a suspect, according to a statement from Stockholm police.

Stockholm regional police chief Ulf Johansson said the clashes may have been a result of their “increased pressure on criminals in the area.”

The clashes come days after US President Donald Trump suggested that immigrants in Sweden were to blame for an increase in crime across the country.

In recent years, Sweden has taken in more refugees per capita than any other European country, which has fueled tensions and caused a rise in anti-immigrant sentiment.

In 2013, large scale riots flared for a week in the Swedish capital, with gangs setting fire to schools and a police station.

In 2015, more than 160,000 people — many from Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan — arrived in Sweden seeking asylum.
The country granted asylum to 101,025 refugees — about 1% of the total population — from 2012 to 2015.

CNN, however, can’t let go of two things.  One, there is a brief mention of the high unemployment rate of the migrants. No kidding! So how on earth does the Swedish government think they are going to afford tens of thousands of restless young Middle Eastern men? (Call it Sweden’s suicide wish!)
These migrants are also dumb or they would be reading the news, have restrained themselves for a few weeks, and not have given Trump a victory.
And, CNN could not resist quoting some Swedes laughing at Donald Trump who deny that anything is amiss even in the face of overwhelming evidence that they have a problem.

Everyone talks about France and Germany, but, for years, my money has been on Sweden as the first country to fall to the tide of overwhelming Muslim migration.
If you don’t know what Trump said at his rally in Florida on Saturday, look it up. He did not say Sweden had a terrorist attack.  In fact, what is happening to Sweden is worse than a one-off Islamic terror incident. Mass Muslim migration is taking down the whole taxpayer-supported safety net, and ultimately (I don’t see how they get out of it) Sweden, as we know it, will not exist.

Last week’s murder of eight-year-old Yuusuf Warsame fits a pattern that Swedes have come slowly to recognise over the years. He was from Birmingham, visiting relatives, and was caught up in what Swedish police believe is a gang war within the Somali community. Last year, a four-year-old girl was killed by a car bomb outside Gothenburg, another apparent victim of gang violence.

For years, Sweden has regarded itself as a ‘humanitarian superpower’ — making its mark on the world not by fighting wars but by offering shelter to war’s victims. Refugees have arrived here in extraordinary numbers. Over the past 15 years, some 650,000 asylum-seekers made their way to Sweden. Of the 163,000 who arrived last year, 32,000 were granted asylum. Sweden accepts more refugees in proportion to size of population than any other nation in the developed world — when it comes to offering shelter, no one does it better. But when it comes to integrating those we take in (or finding the extra housing, schools and healthcare needed for them), we don’t do so well.

It may be news to the rest of the world, but gang warfare has been a feature of our country for years now.

‘If you are not prepared, you are unprepared.’ These are the words of Fredrik Reinfeldt, our former prime minister, and perfectly sum up Sweden’s migration crisis. We still hear politicians defiantly claim that our country is a humanitarian superpower — but they don’t do so as often, and they sound distinctly less smug when they do. The Swedish Way might not shine quite as brightly as a beacon to the world. But anyone who wants to find out how not to handle a migration crisis is welcome to pay us a visit.

I disagree with one point here, “politicians” do not deserve all the blame, it was the naive Swedes themselves, after all, who voted these ‘leaders’ in to office!

Maddening! Malta takes 'refugees' from Greece and Italy and passes others on to US

I’m going to be quick I hope.  If you have been a longtime reader you know one of my complaints for the last nine years is that we are taking illegal aliens who landed on the EUROPEAN island nation of Malta to the US as refugees.
They are Malta’s and the EU’s problem not ours!

Here we learn that Malta has agreed to help with the ‘refugee’ burden-sharing as other European Union countries—Italy and Greece—-are getting the full brunt of the migrant invasion.
So check it out! Malta took a total of 80 migrants who arrived in Italy and Greece over a brief few month’s period.

Malta is well on track to meeting its commitments regarding the relocation of refugees from Italy and Greece, according to the ninth progress report on the EU’s emergency relocation and resettlement schemes, assessing actions taken since 8 December 2016.

Malta is one of Seven countries who are “fully engaged in relocation from Italy,” and is also on track to meet its obligations. As at 7 February this year, Malta effectively relocated 46 refugees from Italy. Malta has also effectively relocated 34 refugees from Greece.

Because the EU has no will to stop the invasion, why does their problem become ours?

In the first four months of this fiscal year, see that we took 210 of the economic migrants off Malta’s hands and brought them to the US as REFUGEES.

So, Malta takes 80 from Italy/Greece and gets praise for it, while they pass 210 on to us!

This is the definition of insanity!  Where is Congress? Could be an easy legal fix if Trump’s US State Department doesn’t stop it soon!

US halts vetting of Australia's rejected asylum seekers

This is a good sign and perhaps the way Trump might begin to make progress against the Open Borders Leftwing—just do what you need to do within the Administration.

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is between a rock and a hard place. But, why should American towns have to absorb Australia’s rejects?

 
If you are a new reader and don’t know about the “dumb deal” Barack Obama made literally within days of Trump’s unexpected election, the gist of it is that Obama said that the US would resettle in America over 1,000 migrants who tried to get to Australia by boat and have since been housed offshore.

Australia doesn’t want to take them to their mainland, so why should we take them to the US to be placed without your knowledge in your home towns!

Canberra, Australia (AP) — U.S. officials stopped screening refugees held on Nauru for potential resettlement in the United States this week but will return to the Pacific atoll to continue working toward a deal that President Donald Trump has condemned as “dumb,” an Australian minister said Thursday.

Immigration Minister Peter Dutton would not say when U.S. Department of Homeland Security officials would return to Nauru to conduct what Trump describes as “extreme vetting.”

Trump made enhanced screening a condition for agreeing to honor an Obama administration deal to accept up to 1,250 refugees refused entry into Australia. Australia pays Nauru and Papua New Guinea to keep more than 2,000 asylum seekers — mostly from Iran, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka — in conditions condemned by rights groups.

U.S. officials were sent to Nauru within days of the deal’s announcement in November after the U.S. presidential election. But they left this week with arrangements under a cloud.

By the way, although only briefly mentioned here, one of the issues facing all first world countries attempting to deport failed asylum seekers (Australia, Germany, and the US) is that some of the Muslim countries from which they came refuse to take them back. Heck, they don’t want troublesome people either!

Invasion of Europe news….

You might want to read my post on asylum here last week.  Asylum seekers differ from the refugees we normally talk about because they get to a country like Germany (or the US, or Canada) and ask for asylum claiming they will be persecuted if returned home.  The refugees we write most about here are selected abroad and we fly them in.
So the next time you hear that Germany is welcoming refugees in greater numbers than the US, remember these hordes who arrived in Europe with a goal of getting to Germany over the last two years are migrants seeking asylum.  Now we are learning that, yikes! Germany has 450,000 who failed to prove their asylum claims and will now be deported.

Gee, wouldn’t it have been a better idea to close their borders in the first place!

Angela Merkel will offer cash handouts worth millions of pounds for migrants to leave Germany in an effort to silence criticism of her ‘open-door’ border policy.

In a highly-embarrassing U-turn over the ill-fated plan, which saw 1.2million migrants flock to the country, Mrs Merkel has now vowed to send many of them home.

The German chancellor agreed a package of measures to speed up the deportation process for an estimated 450,000 migrants who have been rejected asylum.

The controversial plan, which marks a significant toughening of previous proposals, includes a £76million scheme that will offer migrants cash incentives to leave Germany voluntarily.

Many will see the move as a desperate attempt for Miss Merkel to claw back support ahead of her challenging re-election bid in September.

Criticism of her decision to leave Germany’s borders open and welcome all refugees during Europe’s migration crisis in 2015 has led to a surge in support for anti-immigrant parties.
