Comment worth noting: What happens when a Muslim girl is expected to shower with a male who thinks he is a girl?

After all, you have to laugh sometimes! Our reader domstudent11 posed this little query which demonstrates so hilariously how the Left will tie itself into knots with its political correctness nonsense!
From domstudent11:
restroom sign

Here’s what baffles me: at the same time that Obama is suing North Carolina for it’s “bathroom” law and trying to bully schools into mingling boys and girls in bathrooms and locker rooms, he is “importing” thousands of Muslims who would find it permissible to attack a non-relative male seen with any of their women.

What does he think will happen when Muslim girls are forced to shower with males who “think” they are female?

What does he think will happen when a Muslim husband sees a man (who “feels” like a woman) following his wife into a public restroom?

The only solution I can see is that public facilities and schools will be expected to provide an additional bathroom/locker room for Muslim girls only. Muslim boys would be free, of course, to share the facilities with infidel girls (if they are feeling like girls on any given day). Fair isn’t it?  Other suggestions?

Afterthought: Where is CAIR on Obama’s bathroom policy?

Major US refugee contractor, International Rescue Committee, embroiled in corruption probe

Update May 13th: Leo Hohmann at World Net Daily has much more on this probe.
Gee, I wonder if this is why its CEO David Miliband (a Brit!) has his toe back in UK political waters (here two days ago!). Is he about to jump ship and go home?

Miliband and Hillary 'vibrant'
Miliband says he loves her smile!

I haven’t seen this story yet in the American press, seems we always have to depend on the British press to inform us of unsavory news involving refugees and the contractors the federal government hires to take care of them.
Thanks to reader Ann for sending this story from The Telegraph (emphasis is mine):

The United States is investigating an international aid group headed by David Miliband over allegations of corruption in projects intended to help Syrian civilians and refugees.

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is one of three international groups to have had millions of pounds in funding withdrawn over alleged bid-rigging and bribery.

Mr Miliband, a former foreign secretary, was appointed president and chief executive of the organisation in 2013, following his exit from Westminster politics.

David Miliband and Soros
Miliband/IRC awards George Soros for his work!

USAID’s Office of the Inspector General confirmed on Friday that 14 entities and individuals had been suspended as part of a “complex investigation into cross-border aid programs”.

This includes International Medical Corps, one of the largest providers of medical aid to Syrians, and GOAL, an Irish NGO.

Allegations relate to the organisations systematically overpaying for goods in Turkey. A senior USAID official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said private Turkish companies had sold cut-rate blankets and other basic materials at vastly inflated prices and pocketed the difference.

[….]

“What became clear in the course of this investigation was this was a pretty sophisticated operation,” the USAID official said.

[….]

The IRC, which has an annual budget of £350 million,*** relies heavily on government funding from Britain and the United States.

An IRC spokesman told The Times: “We are fully engaged and working with USAID on this issue.”

miliband and Obama
Miliband and Obama are on the same page—bring in the Muslim refugees! Except Obama isn’t going fast enough for Miliband.

Two IRC staff members were dismissed in January after it was found that they had accepted money from suppliers in return for awarding them contracts.

Continue reading where we learn that the Irish aid agency gets US dollars too!
Just a reminder that David Miliband was one of the first contractor CEOs to call for Obama to admit 65,000 Syrians by the end of his term.  Miliband later upped that number to 100,000.  See our huge archive on Miliband by clicking here.
And, if these contractor names have you confused, it is the IRC that is opening an office to bring Syrians to Missoula, MT (among other places).

***Let’s talk about their money for a minute!

Go to the most recent Form 990 for the IRC by clicking here.
Scroll down to page 9 where we learn that the IRC had a revenue stream that year of over a half a billion dollars ($562,021,607) and $378,337,440 came from “government grants.”  That is you—the US taxpayer!
Doing well by doing good…..
And, if you want to really get your blood boiling scroll through a few more pages until you reach the staff salaries where no less than 11 staff people make over $200,000 a year.  Perhaps the most necessary staffer they have right now—-their General Counsel—makes a bit less at $195,427.
Then look at the line for Miliband—-over $300,000 in cash, but it says “annual compensation $600,000.”  What is up with that?  Are they paying his NYC housing on the side somehow?
And, to wrap up with adding more insult to injury—their former CEO George Rupp is still pulling in annual compensation of $338,855 in this Form 990 that ended September 30, 2014.
I wonder what the underlings toiling away in resettlement offices across the US are making? What is Miss Mary going to make in Missoula?

Go here to see where the IRC is placing refugees in the US.  Besides Missoula, MT they have four new offices.

United Nations unhappy with slow movement of Syrians to permanent resettlement

Not much new from the New York Times as they point out that Obama could be embarrassed at the fall session of the UN because the flow of Syrian Muslims to your towns is going too slowly for Ban Ki-moon.

Portrait of SG
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon wants Obama to step up the Syrian Muslim resettlement to the US. Obama will be on the hot seat at fall meeting of UN if he doesn’t deliver! Trump should use that September meeting to highlight his views on relinquishing our sovereignty to the UN.

There are two bits of information in here that were somewhat informative and that is why I am posting it.
Here is how the NY Times story begins:

UNITED NATIONS — The Obama administration’s effort to step up asylum for Syrian refugees is going so slowly, it may not meet the president’s deadline for accepting at least 10,000 by the end of the fiscal year.

More than seven months since the president pledged to resettle the most vulnerable Syrians, the United States has let in less than a fifth of that number — 1,736 through the end of April, according to government figures.***

That slow pace could undermine the administration’s diplomatic push to advance the cause of refugees at a time when other countries are putting up taller barriers to their entry. President Obama and the United Nations secretary general, Ban Ki-moon, have said they will raise the issue of refugee resettlement at this year’s General Assembly session, and Mr. Ban issued a report on Monday calling on world leaders to rally around a new “compact on responsibility-sharing for refugees.”

This is the first bit of information you should know.  I’ve been telling you about how the NO-borders agitators are attempting to broaden the definition of what is a refugee.  Watch for a push for us to take in “climate refugees.”

The report that Mr. Ban issued this week also pressed countries to start negotiating a deal to embrace migrants who are crossing borders for reasons other than war, including “hazards related to climate change.” Those discussions, which he said he hoped would start this year, are likely to be even thornier.

And, this is why Russia could continue to gain dominance in the world—-they aren’t taking in the mostly Muslim Syrian refugees! Putin isn’t marching to Ban’s orders!  Of course, China doesn’t take refugees either.  Their thinking surely goes along these lines—why burden our economies, bring in cultural upheaval and possible Islamic agitators.

Russia, a major supporter of the government of President Bashar al-Assad of Syria, has not resettled a single Syrian refugee, according to the United Nations.

More here.
*** Just checking “government figures” as of May 10th.  We admitted 1,943 Syrian refugees (of the 10,000 Obama wants) and 1,922 were some flavor of Muslim. That keeps the percentage at 99% Muslim for the Syrians resettled in your states so far this fiscal year.

North Dakota update: seems that very few elected officials have a clue about what ol' Teddy and Joe created

Back in 1980 when Jimmy Carter signed the monster into law (after it was pushed through the Senate by Ted Kennedy and Joe Biden) everyone jumped on board (every state but Wyoming!) and figured this was just one of those warm and fuzzy feel-good plans from Washington.

Ted and Joe
Thank Senators Ted Kennedy and Joe Biden for being the ‘brains’ behind the bill that became the Refugee Act of 1980

It was put on auto-pilot (no serious review by Congress has happened in 35 years) until now when the once seemingly innocuous program has grown so large, so costly and fraught with security risks that the public is finally paying attention.
Here is the latest on North Dakota, a state with one of the highest per capita rates of refugee placement, and where elected officials are now trying to figure out what rights they have to slow it or get out altogether.
The story is here at Breitbart where reporter Michael Patrick Leahy tells us how the North Dakota Senator and former governor doesn’t understand how the program works.
Read the story.  Learn how much your state is on the hook for!
Now this…

Every “humanitarian arrival” costs the US taxpayer a bare minimum of $10,000 per person. Do our Washington elected officials even have a clue?

I want to use this opportunity of the Breitbart story to highlight a brief mention of the cost of the program reporter Leahy mentions near the end.  Here is what Leahy said:

Hoeven is not the only member of Congress who does not seem to understand how the federal refugee resettlement program works. In fact, hardly any members of Congress seem to have such an understanding. That may be the most obvious reason to explain why Congress continues to fund the VOLAGS who operate it to the tune of $1 billion a year.

Since a reader asked just this morning about the cost of the program (in light of the upcoming opportunity to testify), the best I can do is send you here to Obama’s proposed FY 2016 Report to Congress (from Sept. of 2015) on what the Administration said the program would cost the feds in this year (2016).  Go to Table VII and see that they estimated $1.19 billion total.  That includes $652 million for the Office of Refugee Resettlement.
However, when you go here to the Dept. of Health and Human Services FY2017 Budget Justification (begin on p. 244) you will see a very different story. Either the budget has dramatically increased (from 2016 to 2017) or Obama was downplaying the costs only 6 months ago.
Get this! Obama’s FY2017 budget includes (rounded number) $2.2 BILLION just for the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) where they say they will care for 213,000 “humanitarian arrivals” including Obama’s 100,000 refugees he has been touting for next year.

The FY 2017 budget of $2,184,860,000 for this account represents the cost of maintaining current law and service requirements for additional refugees and other Entrants and unaccompanied children and for expanding assistance to domestic victms of trafficking. The funding levels for the Refugee and Entrant Assistance account in FY 2017, particularly with regard to Transitional and Medical Services, Social Services, Preventative Health, and Survivors of Torture programs.

The President’ Budget request would support a total of 213,000 humanitarian arrivals in FY 2017, including 100,000 refugees, consistent with the Administration’s commitment to admit at least this number of refugees in FY 2017. The FY 2017 base funding level for unaccompanied children represents an increase of $278,000,000, which is flat from the base resources available in FY 2016, including carryover.

I’m rotten at math, but doesn’t that amount to over $10,000 per refugee just for the ORR share.
That over $2 billion figure does not include the costs of the US State Department which pays contractors their per head fee and it doesn’t include the enormous security screening costs for the Dept. of Homeland Security for the large numbers arriving from Muslim countries.
And, it most certainly does not include the (surely!) billions in welfare payments, medical care and education for the children refugees receive.
