Refugees will be eligible for all benefits of Obamacare

Within hours of the Supreme Court decision on Obama’s health care law, the Department of Health and Human Services came out with its guidance for refugees on how to get their Obamacare.  Because we lost our internet connection for a couple of days, I wasn’t able to post this sooner.

Pre-existing condition?  Not a US citizen?  Can’t find work?  No worries, line up!

Here is the guidance:

Refugee status is a form of protection that may be granted to people who meet the definition of refugee, are of special humanitarian concern to the United States, and are typically outside of their country and unable or unwilling to return home because they fear serious harm. Refugees come to the United States to start a new life. They work hard to find jobs and provide for their families. Today, many refugees lack health insurance, making it hard for them to get the care they need.

Refugees, as lawfully present immigrants, are eligible for the same protections and benefits under the Affordable Care Act as U.S. citizens. Refugees will remain exempt from the five‐year waiting period to receive Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and will receive many new benefits thanks to health reform. The benefits and protections in the Affordable Care Act are particularly important for refugees, who often arrive to the United States after years without access to proper medical care, and in many cases work for employers who do not provide health insurance. As outlined below, the new law will give refugees access to affordable health coverage and protection against insurance practices that can deny coverage to individuals with pre‐existing conditions or those who become ill.

At the end of the guidance, note that all of those youths (thousands annually) who come across our borders illegally and end up in the Office of Refugee Resettlement’s Unaccompanied Minor Program, will get their health care until age 26 just like all of your kids!

Effective 2014, states must extend Medicaid coverage up to age 26 for young adults who have aged out of the foster care system, including those aging out of the Unaccompanied Refugee Minors program.

Of course now we have the answer to our previous question—are the unaccompanied illegal alien minors returned to their home country once they reach the age of 18?   Nope!

Shortage of goats and imams linked to rapid increase in US Muslim population

Forget the population studies, just check out the booming goat industry as a sign of how the US population is changing with increased Muslim immigration.

Two stories came to my attention yesterday and you should find them instructive.  The first is about the booming goat farming industry—Muslim immigrants want to eat goats (but only if they are slaughtered under strict guidelines dictated by sharia law).*

From the US State Department:

Washington — Eating goat meat hasn’t really caught on with most Americans, but raising goats for meat has certainly caught on with U.S. farmers.

That’s because U.S. farmers are recognizing that there is a growing market among an ever-increasing population of immigrants from Muslim countries, where goat meat is popular.

There are an estimated 2.75 million Muslims living in the United States as of 2011, according to the Pew Research Center, an American think tank. But Muslim immigrants have been rising both in absolute numbers and as a share of all immigrants receiving permanent U.S. residency, the Pew study says.

“By 2020, Muslims are projected to comprise 10.5 percent of more than 1 million new permanent U.S. residents per year, or about 109,000 people annually,” says the Pew study The Global Muslim Population: Projections for 2010–2030.

But immigrants are the primary reason for increased goat production in the United States, according to NASS. “With the United States population becoming more diverse each year, the outlook for continued growth in the goat industry is favorable and will be needed to meet domestic demand,” NASS says.

The slaughtering process must be conducted by a practicing Muslim who recites the prayer: “In the name of Allah [God] and Allah is great.”

American-born imams also in short supply

Some American mosques (the mosque industry is booming along with goat farming) would like American-born imams but few can be found.

From Morocco World News:

The Islamic Center of New England has always been led by imams born outside America. The two-campus mosque would like to change that, but it’s proving harder than leaders had thought.

The ICNE’s mosque here on the South Shore of Boston has been without an imam since 2006, when the last imam was arrested for immigration fraud. A rotating cast of lay and trained imams have led congregational Friday prayers and other mosque functions since then.

After dozens of interviews, the mosque board is eyeing a U.S-born convert who’s familiar with American culture and who studied Islam and Arabic in Saudi Arabia. The imam’s academic pedigree impressed the immigrant members of the mosque, while his fluency in American pop culture helped him connect with mosque youth.

Hossam AlJabri, a former executive director of the Muslim American Society, estimated that about 80 percent of America’s 2,200 mosques were led by immigrant imams, although the majority have been in America for at least 10 years, many much longer.

According to a 2011 report from the Pew Research Center, 63 percent of America’s estimated 2.75 million Muslims are immigrants — with as many as 90,000 new Muslim immigrants arriving each year. Experts say it will be years before the pool of American imams becomes large enough to meet demand from mosques.

Some, like the Boston mosque, want American imams to help them reach the kids, however….

Many communities prefer immigrant imams because of skepticism about imams trained in America.

Why?  I’m going to bet it has everything to do with the fact that Islamic hardliners make up the immigrant imam supply.

* Remember as far back as 1983, 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed was fueling the meat-goat industry in NC where he slaughtered goats for the increasing Muslim student population at his college.

Marylanders will vote on taxpayer subsidized college tuition for illegal immigrants

Although this involves illegal immigrants, I thought some readers here might be interested to know that citizens working hard can succeed against the Democrat Party leadership and the Open Borders immigrant lobbying groups such as CASA de Maryland.

High Court decides in favor of citizens, against CASA and the Democrat Party leadership

Maryland citizens will now have an opportunity to vote on the controversial issue of whether taxpayers will have to subsidize the college educations of illegal aliens.

I told you just yesterday that Joseph Sandler, a DNC kingpin representing CASA de Maryland and indirectly Gov. Martin O’Malley-the-ambitious, had taken the issue all the way to Maryland’s highest court this week—-they lost!

From MD Petitions website here is the good news.

Less than 24 hours after hearing Casa de Maryland’s case attempting to stop Marylanders from being able to vote on a bill that would give in-state college tuition benefits to illegal aliens, Maryland’s highest court, the Court of Appeals, affirmed a lower court decision finding that Marylanders have the right to vote on the issue this November.

Chairman of MDPetitions.com, Delegate Neil Parrott* indicated that, “This is a great victory for all Maryland voters.  Volunteers across the state worked extremely hard last year for this referendum effort. Democrats, Republicans, and Independents realize that using tax money to pay college tuition costs for illegal aliens doesn’t make sense.”

MDPetitions.com was very pleased to be represented throughout each step of the court proceedings by Judicial Watch with their attorney, Paul Orfanedes.  The decision confirms that the efforts for democracy will not be discarded based on a lawsuit from Casa de Maryland and illegal aliens who tried desperately not to allow Maryland voters to be able to vote on the issue.

Delegate Pat McDonough indicated that, “We have won the first half of the super bowl.  Now, in order to win the entire game, we need to be successful at the polls on November 6th, election day.”

When asked what he thinks would happen in the election this coming November, Delegate Neil Parrott indicated that, “The majority of Maryland voters understand on the face of it that Maryland is spending too much money as it is, and that it would not make sense to go against existing federal law to subsidize college tuition costs for illegal aliens who cannot even work in the country legally after they graduate.”

* Del. Parrott represents the district where I live and is the founder of the Hagerstown Tea Party.

For readers of RRW, you may recognize the name Joseph Sandler (the “silencer”) because he has represented Muslim organizations (CAIR!) and worked to silence Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch.   This is what I learned last summer about Sandler (among other things!):

Sandler threatened an organization that Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch planned to speak to in order to silence him and keep him from discussing the Muslim advocacy group CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations), here and here [Frontpage magazine story that isn’t opening at the moment–ed].   Here Spencer suggests Sandler isn’t much for free speech. (LOL! We are starting to come to the same conclusion!)

Europe getting ready to control immigration if Euro collapses

They get it!  Immigration must be controlled in floundering economies, but will it be too little too late for Europe?

Here is an article from The Telegraph in which a Member of the British Parliament says they are getting ready to halt one of the most important parts of the EU government where people from member states can freely cross borders to work.   They fear most that the collapse of Greece will send thousands upon thousands to the few countries still holding their economic heads above water, especially Britain.

In an interview in The Daily Telegraph, Theresa May says “work is ongoing” to restrict European immigration in the event of a financial collapse.

People from throughout the EU, with the exception of new member countries such as Romania and Bulgaria, are able to work anywhere in the single market.

However, there are growing concerns that if Greece was forced to leave the euro, it would effectively go bankrupt and millions could lose their jobs and consider looking for work abroad.

The crisis could spread quickly to other vulnerable countries such as Spain, Ireland and Portugal, although Britain is regarded as a safe haven because it is outside the single currency.

The introduction of immigration controls within the EU would undermine a key part of the single market. However, it is allowed in “exceptional” circumstances under European law.

Controls are most likely to include restrictions on people seeking to work in Britain, who could be made to apply for visas.

David Cameron has already said that Britain has made contingency plans to deal with the break-up of the single currency.

Too late?

But, according to this article (be sure to open the link to see the photo) also from The Telegraph (last month), it may be too late for Britain to control any immigration.  Who is to blame?

Many of us can identify with these concerns. And being sensible, like Joe Public, we do not blame immigrants for failing to integrate: the blame lies at the feet of our rulers for failing to set clear boundaries by requiring them to learn English, respect British culture and obey the house rules. Instead, the British have been exhorted to change the rules to accommodate the newcomers. It may come as no surprise to read that the Office for National Statistics has discovered that one in eight people in the UK is now foreign born.

And, it’s about being abused in America, or so says Howie Carr writing at the Boston Herald.

Readers will recall that in 2008 then candidate Obama’s long-lost dear Auntie from ‘Dreams from my Father’ fame was found living illegally (she had been ordered deported) in public housing in Boston.  A subsequent trial (where she had a hot shot lawyer) resulted in a grant of asylum in the US.  Now she has a tell-all book.   I really hope she addresses her previously reported anger at her nephew for leaving her out of White House family doings (I bet that is the elegant First Lady’s doing).

Here is Carr:

Auntie Zeituni has written a book. It’s called “Tears of Abuse,” on account of how tough she’s had it.

Have I read it? Of course not. Have you read her nephew’s best-seller — Dreams from My Ghostwriter, I mean Father? No one has — it’s sold millions of copies, but until two weeks ago, not a single reader got far enough into it to learn that Obama was a dog-eater with “composite” girlfriends.

Anyway, I have the press release on “Tears of Abuse,” which describes Auntie Zeituni’s journey to the United States “where she faces the unthinkable; failing health and quarantined in a hospital while on vacation in a foreign country.”

Vacation? Surely she meant to say “welfare.”

“As her story unfolds she becomes a resident of (a) homeless shelter and a subject of deportation.”

How dare they! Just because she’s an illegal alien, they want to deport her.

Carr is so funny, I didn’t know where to stop.  But, it’s unethical to post the whole piece, so please visit Carr’s column, here.   I might be tempted to read Auntie Z’s book to see if she has her version of events in sync with “Dreams from my father.”

Since we are on the subject of “Dreams…,” here is the answer to something I wondered about a few weeks ago when there was all the hoop-la about Obama eating dogs in Indonesia.  Muslims hate dogs—they are on the list of the ten most vile things on earth, right up there with dead bodies, feces and pigs.  So, I had been thinking that Muslims probably don’t eat them.  Here is a story from a couple of weeks ago by John Hinderaker at Powerline about Obama and dog-eating (hat tip:  Judy).  He ends his piece with this:

ONE MORE THING: Muslims don’t eat dogs. Barack Obama lived with a Muslim stepfather in a Muslim area of Indonesia. Dogs were not eaten there; presumably not in Obama’s Muslim household. So Obama’s claim in his autobiography that he ate dog in Indonesia may well be false–an error introduced by Bill Ayers or whoever actually wrote Obama’s autobiography. But it is way too late now for Obama to disavow the autobiography that he allegedly wrote.
