Minnesota Republican candidate for governor tells Breitbart radio he would seek to end refugee resettlement in the state if elected

And, I was surprised to see that in a recent poll he is only five points behind the Democrat candidate for governor.  Minnesotans who want to save their state need to get to work!

For inspiration, re-visit this 2015 post where Minnesota’s present Democrat Governor told Minnesotans to leave the state if they didn’t like the diversity he was welcoming!

By the way, in every state and district, all of you concerned about immigration should make sure that someone is at Democrat campaign stops from now until November to bring up the question of refugee resettlement, the border wall, sanctuary cities, migrant crimes etc.  Get the candidate on the record!

This is your best chance this year to get YOUR views out past the mainstream media filter!

From Michael Patrick Leahy at Breitbart:

Minnesota GOP Gubernatorial Nominee: Time to End Refugee Resettlement in State

Jeff Johnson make MN red
Johnson with running mate:   https://blogs.mprnews.org/capitol-view/2018/06/jeff-johnson-i-want-trumps-backing/

Minnesota Republican gubernatorial nominee Jeff Johnson says it is time to end the federal government’s refugee resettlement program in the state.

Johnson told Breitbart News’s deputy Washington political editor Amanda House on Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Sunday that if elected he will go to Washington, D.C. and deliver that message to the Trump administration officials in charge of the Refugee Admissions Program.

“Here, we have the issue of becoming a sanctuary state or not. My Democrat opponent actually has signed on to becoming a sanctuary state, which I think is absolutely insane,” Johnson said.

“We also have a refugee issue in Minnesota. We have been more generous and accepted more refugees than any other state in the country. Not by a little, but by a lot,” he added.

“What I have called for is that we end our participation in that [federal refugee resettlement] program, at least until we get answers to the questions of cost, and start addressing the issue of whether the refugees that are here are succeeding or not, because many of them aren’t. The unemployment rate is extremely high among the Somali population in Minnesota,” Johnson said.

“If you include state and federal spending, [the cost of supporting refugees is] in the hundreds of millions of dollars. We don’t know what the number is though, because the Legislative Auditor, which is a very well respected non-partisan office, was charged with trying to figure that out, and the answer they came back with was, well no one keeps track of that and no one asks the right questions,” he added.

On this issue of getting at the costs of refugee resettlement. Every time someone who wants to restrict refugees asks, he or she is told there simply is no good data on what refugees cost the taxpayer.

Then I want to know how the Open Borders gang, like Welcoming America!, comes up with studies that say unequivocally that refugees BENEFIT the economy.  Where are they getting their numbers? Or are they just not trying to find out the true costs?

Leahy continues:

“There is an existing lawsuit that Tennessee has gotten involved with. Would you be willing to jump on board that lawsuit?” House asked.

“Absolutely I would consider that,” Johnson responded.

Leahy then tells readers about two big issues for Minnesota involving refugees: health issues especially high rates of TB, and the issue of MN producing jihadists!

The latest poll shows Johnson trails his Democrat rival in the governor’s race, Rep. Tim Walz (D-MN-01) by five points, 46 percent to 41 percent.

Minnesota: Muslims say they will show their power next week at Vikings stadium

“There’s been nothing else like this, promoted anywhere in the United States which is a message in and of itself.”

(Minnesota resident Bob Carrillo)

But, it isn’t too late for Minnesotans and others to tell the powers-that-be at the US Bank Stadium that you object to the event—an event that celebrates the ritual slaughter of animals.

From Third Rail Talk:

The Secret Plan of Muslims to Sneak Tens of Thousands Into the U.S. Bank Stadium for a Historic “Show of Power” in Minnesota

There is a secret plan to literally sneak fifty thousand Muslims into the Minnesota Vikings US Bank Stadium.

Feast of the Sacrifice…at US Bank Stadium? Yup.

Their own words not mine: “to show our unity and power”.

What is the Islamic event about?

Well it’s called EID AL ADHA – Feast of the Sacrifice.

About a week and a half ago we discovered this program being sponsored by some very interesting people and organizations.

Fifty thousand people – two day event on the 21st and 22nd of August at our Minnesota Vikings US Bank Stadium. That folks is tantamount to two Super Bowls back to back. We just had a Super Bowl here recently and capacity is between 60 and 65 thousand people! These folks have, in a very stealth fashion, invited 50 thousand people to be in the stadium on the 21st and 22nd – both days.

With a list of who’s who in the Islamist world in terms of Imams from Minnesota and from around the country as presenters.

[….]

This is the first of its kind and it’s massive. And Minnesota residents Minneapolis St Paul and the surrounding area are not prepared for this.

[….]

Call the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority at 612-332-0386 and demand, the operative word there, demand its cancellation.

Tomorrow!!!

Come to the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority Board Meeting on Friday, August 17 at 9 am and voice your position together with other citizens.

More here.  See how secretive the organizers have been about the gathering.

See also the video accompanying the story.  Honestly I couldn’t watch because the ‘celebration’ is about brutally sacrificing animals. BTW, where is PETA?

Wonder where the organizers will find 50,000 celebrants?

Just have a look at the numbers Conservative Review put together yesterday. We are admitting Muslims to the US by the tens of thousands annually through a variety of LEGAL immigration programs. Expect the construction of more mosques and events like this one!

Syracuse, NY letter to editor: help me with Catholic Charities fuzzy math

I’m happy to report on a letter-to-the-editor at Syracuse.com because I had meant to post on the original article that generated this reader’s letter and never got around to it.

Letter-writer George Checksfield is referring to an article, here, in which we learn that the State of New York is plugging the “hole” created by lost federal revenue for Catholic Charities (from you really, the taxpayer).

He wants to know why does a private group like this need taxpayer dollars to hold on to employees they don’t need.

holy trinity Syracuse
In 2014, Syracuse’s Holy Trinity Catholic Church became a mosque and these Catholic Charities refugee pushers don’t even get what is happening to them.   https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2014/03/30/syracuse-refugee-group-buys-catholic-church-will-be-converted-to-a-mosque/

The mainstream media rarely makes the connection clear to the average taxpaying citizen reading a story like this that there is a direct relationship between the number of refugees being brought in and Catholic Charities of Onondaga County (this one and many others throughout the US) budget.

Their payments from the feds are based on how many refugees the agency places. It is a per refugee head basis and so big families bring in bigger bucks to CC (sorry for the zillionith time I’ve repeated that!).

When the President reduced the number of refugees being admitted to the US, it caused all these federal contractors to see their budgets shrink.

Below is a screenshot of Mr. Checksfield’s letter.

But, do not miss the nearly 30 comments, virtually all negative toward Catholic Charities, that have been sent in to Syracuse.com.

St. Cloud “woman” crashes car into ice cream store

Reader Linda said, get out the “secret decoder ring” as once again the media fails to mention a key fact in this story.

However, the video says it all….

St. Cloud woman crash
Somalis gather at the crash scene (screenshot).

I’m posting this because once in a while we have to chuckle and because I can’t tell you the number of times over the years I’ve heard news like this.

How on earth are they getting drivers’ licenses? Does she even have insurance?

Minnesota gubernatorial candidate says he will withdraw state from refugee program

It is a good campaign message, but in reality will get MN no where.

How quickly people forget that in the last few years three other Republican governors made a big show out of withdrawing their states from the federal program (Texas, Kansas, New Jersey) and of course they still get refugees with Texas presently being the top ‘welcoming’ state in the nation.

st_cloud_somalis
Somali population in St. Cloud and elsewhere in MN is increasing.

As they did with those states, the US State Department will simply turn the whole resettlement plan for the state over to a non-profit (contractor) group to manage.  (The Tennessee case is on appeal and if by a miracle, TN wins, then that strategy could go up in flames for the feds.)

Don’t get me wrong, there are political considerations for Mr. Johnson as he is up against former governor Tim Pawlenty in the primary, it is definitely worth discussing in the campaign.  And, as governor there will be many things the state government could do to rein-in the program by reforming the state’s welfare system, etc.

Indeed, Pawlenty was a Republican establishment governor of the state during the expansion of refugee resettlement to St. Cloud and must have known what was happening.  I would say look to his campaign donors and see if he was being funded by big business (poultry!) interests looking for a steady supply of cheap labor to the St. Cloud area.  I presume Mr. Johnson has some good investigators at work to discover Pawlenty’s ties to the program while he was governor.  LOL! Any photos of Pawlenty snuggling with the Lutheran resettlement people?
