Mark Steyn tells Tucker Carlson: "I'm a demography bore"

That comment was in response to the latest (this time failed) terror attack in a Brussels train station yesterday.

He went on to say: “Demography explains most of everything.”

If you have never read it, you must. Steyn’s 2006 predictions are coming true.

Yes, agreed Carlson.
Steyn related his comment as  well to the close Georgia House race yesterday to explain that demographic changes in Georgia made it possible for a progressive to even think he had a chance to pull off an upset there.  (Georgia is a leading refugee resettlement state, btw).
Steyn told Carlson in a two minute portion of a longer segment that when your city (in this case Brussels) is 25% Muslim because your country has made the fatal mistake to think that you can replace an aging population with a hostile culture, the country will see increased tension and chaos.  In my view, it will ultimately collapse into an Islamic state.
Carlson asked about Japan, and Steyn told him that Japan has chosen to NOT invite in the third world, that saving their unique Japanese culture was more important to them.  Only time will tell if the Japanese (and the Poles, the Czechs and the Hungarians) can do it.
As I have said repeatedly, only one way to save western societies (and countries like Japan), in addition to limiting immigration, encourage our women to have babies—lots and lots of babies!

Two cases of refugees beating family members: no one told me it was against the law in the west

These two cases involving refugees, one in Canada (a Muslim) and one in the US (a ‘Christian’) tell the courts the same thing—no one told them it was against the law to beat your wife (in the first case) or your children (in the second case). They claim they come from cultures where  it is aok!
And, you know what! I believe them.  I believe that those responsible for placing refugees in far flung communities throughout North America are so steeped in political correctness (with their minds muddled by concepts of cultural relativism) that they leave their refugees (wives and children) vulnerable.

Here is the Canada story of Mohamed Rafia (One of Trudeau’s Syrian refugees who beat his wife, didn’t know it was against the law) cleverly reported by Ezra Levant at The Rebel:

At the court hearing, Rafia said officials didn’t inform him of differences in Canadian laws and more should have been done to educate him.

Yeah, how come you didn’t say it wasn’t OK to take a weapon and smash your wife again and again. How come you didn’t tell him that!

Continue reading here, the irony is too juicy.

Our second case is going on in New Hampshire where a Congolese refugee woman has lost her children and could be deported if convicted of child abuse.

When you read the long story, note that the NPR reporter gives great details, but leaves out the first pressing question I had, and you will likely have too—which resettlement agency in Concord is responsible for this woman and her cultural orientation to America and American laws and values?
Thanks to Jeanine for alerting me to this story…..
From Rhode Island NPR:

The Obama Administration told the UN (which is trying to clean out its camps) that we would take in 50,000 Congolese, mostly women (in need of mental health treatment) and children, over 5 years (from FY14-FY19). We have now ALREADY passed the 42,000 mark. 752 were placed in New Hampshire. The Trump State Department is continuing the resettlement. https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2013/06/05/state-department-refugee-program-head-honcho-made-some-news-last-month/

Nine months ago, Joyce Chance left a refugee camp in Uganda where she had spent the last eleven years. Chance, who was born in Congo, boarded a plane with her two kids, and came to the United States.

A refugee resettlement agency [What, no name?—ed] in Concord, New Hampshire picked them up at the airport, and moved them into a one-room apartment. [One room for a family of three?—likely not allowed  under contract with DOS—ed]

Seven months later, the state of New Hampshire took Chance’s kids away. The kids’ teachers had suspected child abuse, and contacted the Department of Child and Family Services. DCYF placed the children – who are 9 and 12 – first with relatives, then later with a foster family.

The agency instructed Chance not to contact her children, and according to her attorney, she didn’t.

A month later, Concord Police arrested Chance, charging her with five counts of assault against her children. If she is convicted, she could be deported.

No one told her it was not okay to beat your children!

“The big issue here is the cultural differences,” she told me. According to Chance, corporal punishment is a common way to discipline children in Congo and Uganda. “When I [got] here,” Chance would later tell me through a translator, “Nobody [told] me it’s not okay to punish your children that way.”

To be clear, a guardian can use physical force against a minor when she reasonably believes it is necessary, according to New Hampshire statue. The state will likely argue Chance’s behavior was reckless and caused substantial pain, making it illegal.

Continue reading here.  There is some question about whether the kids are even her biological children.
And, for the curious, like me, the resettlement agency responsible for refugee resettlement in Concord is Ascentria Care Alliance formerly Lutheran Social Services of New England.  So, it is a subcontractor of Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service headquartered in Baltimore that did a lousy job of orienting this woman to American culture and laws! Not a surprise because frankly this is a business and they bring ’em in and move on to the next batch of paying ‘clients.’
For new (ambitious) readers, this is post number 2,106 in my refugee ‘crimes’ category, see here.

Minnesota Dept of Health needs $5 million to fight infectious diseases in immigrant population

Hey, since many of the refugees and other immigrants now causing expensive infectious diseases to spread in the state are a result of Obama’s migration policy, maybe he could contribute his $3 million speaking fee to Minnesota as a partial payment to handle the crisis!
Here is the latest news generated by the recent Measles epidemic in Minnesota. As of Tuesday there were 50 diagnosed cases, most (45) are in the ‘Somali community.’
And, we are told that refugees don’t cost state and local taxpayers a dime!
From Michael Patrick Leahy at Breitbart:

Minnesota Health Commissioner Dr. Ed Ehlinger sounded an alert on more frequent and costly threats to the public health, referencing measles, tuberculosis, and even the Zika virus and syphilis, according to a statement released by the MDH on Wednesday as reported by Hometownsource.com.

Remember this story! Gov. Mark Dayton: If you don’t like our Somali refugees, get out of Minnesota because they are here to stay! https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2015/10/16/mn-governor-dayton-dont-like-immigrants-get-out-of-minnesota/

“In recent months, state and local public health officials have had to respond to a series of infectious disease outbreaks including multi-drug resistant tuberculosis, hundreds of new cases of syphilis, and now, the largest measles outbreak the state has faced in nearly 30 years. These outbreaks come on the heels of extensive public health efforts in 2016 for the Zika virus response and in 2014-15 for Ebola preparedness,” he added…..

[….]

Minnesota is currently in the middle of the largest outbreak of measles in over twenty years. As of Tuesday, 50 cases of measles have been diagnosed in the state since the first case was reported on April 11, 45 of which have been diagnosed in Somali Minnesotans.

As Breitbart News reported previously, 90 percent of the 168 cases of active tuberculosis diagnosed in Minnesota in 2016 were foreign-born, much higher than the 67 percent of foreign-born cases that accounted for the 9,287 cases of active TB diagnosed in the United States in 2016.

Fourteen of those cases were from newly arrived refugees, eleven of whom were diagnosed with active TB in medical screenings overseas but were nonetheless allowed to resettle in Minnesota by the Obama administration’s Department of Homeland Security.

Continue reading here. The article is chock full of important information and links to follow.
See my ‘Health issues’ category, here, where I have archived 329 previous posts about health issues (including mental health issues) involving the refugee flow to America.
I wondered here if this Measles outbreak started with a newly arrived refugee from Somalia (or from elsewhere in East Africa since a large number of our Somalis come from UN camps in Kenya).
BTW, Slate had a hysterical story the other day claiming this Measles outbreak is Trump’s fault—not because he is admitting infected Somalis, but because he hangs with “Anti-vaxxer pals.”  Huh?

Are alleged Rockville rapists Unaccompanied Alien Children?

That is the question I have about the story you can’t possibly have missed over the last day or two.
Were the pair (one from Guatemala and the other from El Salvador), who are behind bars in Maryland for dragging a 14-year-old girl into a boys bathroom and raping her considered ‘refugees’ by the Obama Administration that would have been in charge of them if they turned themselves in at the border as part of the flood of ‘children’ that invaded our border for years during the Obama presidency, so-called UACs?

Questions abound! Is he older than 18? Did he arrive among the waves of so-called ‘Unaccompanied Alien Children? Was he in the care of the Office of Refugee Resettlement or one of its contractors? And, of course, why had he not been deported? Did MoCo, MD sheriff protect him?

Keep an eye out for any news about whether they were actually under the protection of the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement.
***Update*** Montgomery County Superintendent of schools implies they were federally-screened “unaccompanied minors,” see here.
BTW, some question whether the 18-year-old (9th grader) was 18, or indeed much older.
As a Maryland resident, I can assure you that Montgomery County, Maryland, where the alleged assault occurred, has long been a county famous for coddling illegals who get to the state.
***Update*** to see what we are really up against in Maryland, go here and watch Tucker Carlson interview Baltimore city council member.
Here is Leo Hohmann’s shocking report at WND:

Two illegal-alien teenagers who were placed in ninth-grade classes at Montgomery County Schools, Maryland, have been arrested and charged with the brutal rape of a 14-year-old girl, and at least one of the boys had a pending deportation order from ICE.

The boys, identified as Henry Sanchez, 18, of Guatemala and Jose Montano, 17, of El Salvador, approached the young girl in the hallway near the gymnasium inside Rockville High School during school hours about 9 a.m. on Thursday.

[….]

Maryland is perhaps the most welcoming state for illegal aliens and refugees in the Eastern United States, with Montgomery County the most welcoming county in the state. Maryland gives in-state tuition rates to illegal-alien college students, and its legislature is considering a bill that would declare Maryland the country’s first sanctuary state. Montgomery County is already a sanctuary county, denying 63 ICE requests to turn over illegal-alien criminals last year, Fox News reported.

These policies helped create a culture that allows a young girl to be raped and sodomized in a bathroom stall by two illegal-alien boys, at least one of whom was ordered to be deported, border hawks told WND.

[….]

Sanchez and Montano were living in the Aspen Hill neighborhood of Rockville, and they have been charged with first-degree rape and two counts of first-degree sexual offense. They were denied bond by a judge who said they were dangerous and a flight risk.

If convicted, they could get life in prison. [What an investment for American taxpayers, two more in the slammer for life!—ed]

[….]

William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, said this is a rare case where the news of a rape of a student on school property managed to leak out into the local media.

Much more here with details of the police report and quotes from Marylanders.
Well the story did break out of the local news and made it to at least Fox News. I haven’t seen it reported on CNN broadcast news, have you?
We have an extensive archive on the so-called Unaccompanied Alien Children mostly teenage boys from Central America. Although they had been coming for years, a huge flood of them crossed our southern border in 2014, with another huge wave in 2016.
Their ‘care’ is through the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement (in Health and Human Services) and consumes the largest portion of that agency’s budget.  Two federal refugee resettlement agencies—US Conference of Catholic Bishops and Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services—get millions each year to manage the ‘children.’ Other contractors have gotten in on the lucrative federal grants awarded for really what amounts to care for illegal aliens.  These ‘children’ are NOT legitimate refugees!
I’ve long suspected that the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, which sent an envoy to Central America in 2013, and then wrote a report warning of the flow coming, actually lit the fuse for the 2014 border invasion, see here.

Trump’s people now run ORR, someone should be able to find out if these two alleged Rockville rapists were on ORR’s radar screen or in their care.

Could there be racial bigotry among practitioners of the religion of peace?

Fighting a war on two fronts! Some Muslims believe “we shouldn’t talk about anti-blackness within the community, because we’re under siege by Islamophobes. This is not the right time to air internal laundry.”

(Kameelah Rashad, University of Pennsylvania)

Yup, you know it is true!  Or, why would Somali Muslims, for example, want to build their own mosques in a community where  the Arab Muslims already had one?
Also, according to The Atlantic there is a split between immigrant Muslims (many black) and the long-established (well-off) Arabs in America.  The tension within the ‘community’ burst in to full-flower, we are told, at a December Muslim conference in Toronto.

Kameelah Rashad (right) with Linda Sansour. Rashad says she is fighting a war on two fronts—racism within Muslim ‘community’ and Islamophobia everywhere else. Photo: http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/jehron_muhammad/Jehron-Muhammad-Why-do-Muslims-have-to-apologize-for-the-actions-of-a-few.html

The article is a bit disjointed (or maybe it is me!).  Or, could that be because the author can’t quite present the politically-incorrect information in a straightforward manner?
[BTW, when you have a few minutes look around at the many historical reports about how light-skinned Arab Muslims enslaved Africans for over a thousand years.]
Here are a few snips of Emma Green’s article at The Atlantic (emphasis is mine):

Muslim Americans Are United by Trump—and Divided by Race

When weary Muslims gathered in Toronto in December for an annual retreat, marking the end of a tumultuous U.S. election year, they probably didn’t expect the event to turn into a referendum on racial tensions within the American Muslim community. But it did.

[….]

Even though slightly less than one-third of American Muslims are black, according to Pew Research Center, American Muslims are most often represented in the media as Arab or South Asian immigrants. The distinction between the African-American Muslim experience and that of their immigrant co-religionists has long been a source of racial tension in the Muslim community, but since the election, things have gotten both better and worse. While some Muslims seem to be paying more attention to racism because of Donald Trump, others fear that any sign of internal division is dangerous for Muslims in a time of increased hostility.

While the Toronto conference was upsetting, Evans [Ubaydullah Evans, the executive director of the American Learning Institute for Muslims, who is black] said, he doesn’t think it’s representative of the biggest racial problems in the American Muslim community. White racism toward black people is “not the kind of racism that circumscribes my life as an American Muslim,” he told me. “It’s the social racism I experience from people of Arab descent, of Southeast Asian descent. This is the racism no one is talking about.” [Wait!  I thought only white Europeans could be racists! Arabs too?—ed]

[….]

The wave of immigration that shaped today’s American Muslim population began in the 1960s, after Congress lifted previous race-based restrictions on immigration. In many ways, this surge was directly connected to the work of black Muslims and others involved in the civil-rights movement: The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 allowed far greater numbers of people from Asia and Africa to emigrate to the U.S. As of 2014, an estimated 61 percent of Muslims were immigrants, according to Pew, and another 17 percent were the children of immigrants. Many of the perceived racial tensions among Muslims come from conflicts between these immigrant communities and non-immigrants, who are often black.

[….]

Omar Suleiman (Dallas Imam): American Muslim population segregated by ethnicity and income.

“Immigrant Muslims had a convenient comfort zone,” said Omar Suleiman, an imam based in Dallas with a large online following. As each new immigrant community established its own mosques and community centers, portions of the Muslim American population became segregated by ethnicity and income.

For non-black Muslims who grew up in the suburbs, attended private schools, and rarely encountered black Muslims in their mosques, it’s easy “to internalize many of the poisonous notions about the black community that … diminish the pain of those communities,” he said.

“I think a lot of African American Muslims see a hypocrisy sometimes with immigrant Muslims,” said Saba Maroof, a Muslim psychiatrist with a South Asian background who lives in Michigan. “We say that Muslims are all equal in the eyes of God, that racism doesn’t exist in Islam.” And yet, cases of overt racism aren’t uncommon, like when South Asian or Arab immigrant parents don’t want their kids to marry black Muslims. “That happened in my family,” she said.

[….]

Some Muslims believe “we shouldn’t talk about anti-blackness within the community, because we’re under siege by Islamophobes. This is not the right time to air internal laundry,” Rashad [Kameelah Rashad, a black Muslim chaplain at the University of Pennsylvania] said. But “if I have to contend with anti-Muslim bigotry outside of the Muslim community, and within my own community, I’m having to push back on anti-black racism, I’m kind of fighting a war on two fronts.”

Melting pot myth exploded!
So, not only do we have a lack of assimilation among the many ethnic and religious groups we are admitting to the US, we obviously have it within Islam in America too!
