Comment worth noting: African gangs running amok in Australia

Editor: From time to time we post comments we want to feature fearing you might miss them where they were posted. This is from a regular reader from Australia responding to a comment by ‘Lower Tones’ at this post.
You might also want to see my previous post this morning on the “dumb” Australian deal, here.
Fatherjon (emphasis is mine):

Lower Tones: You got it in one – cheap, compliant labour! Forget all the heart-wrenching, wrist-wringing emotive stuff about looking after our fellows in need, ‘it’s all about the economy, stupid’. That certainly seems to be the case in America. However we’re finding in Australia that most of our Middle Eastern and African migrant-refugees are still unemployed 5 years after arrival!

australia-refugee-protestor
Australia too is being roiled by Leftist protesters demanding Middle Eastern and African refugees be admitted. http://nation.com.pk/international/04-Feb-2017/trump-s-refugee-order-triggers-protests-across-australia

The less disingenuous ones admit that they didn’t come here to work, they expected that our much vaunted welfare system, based on the ‘cradle to grave’ theory, would give them a living wage and free housing, education and health for the rest of their lives. Nobody mentioned work back in the village!

Consequently when their teenager offspring find that the welfare system is actually not as salubrious as they expected, and that they only receive modest unemployment benefits, cheap housing in fairly run down suburbs and education in the least desirable schools, they turn to drugs and crime.

Melbourne is currently in a crime wave with African gangs of thugs running amok, robbing, raping and pillaging. The state government tries to pretend that it’s not happening, but few voters will agree as the Labor govt. will find out at the next election.

And, just yesterday we have corroboration of that as  Sudanese youth gangs reportedly robbed and beat up Australian teens in a Melbourne suburb—Youth stampede at Caroline Springs, here. (Hat tip: Diana).
You can see why Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is between a rock and a hard place on that Australian refugee deal with the US.  Most voters in Australia don’t want more phony ‘refugees’ permitted on the mainland, while the usual Leftist ‘humanitarian’ agitators are pressing for the government to close offshore detention centers and bring those who tried to illegally reach Australia by boat to Australian towns and cities.
The globalists won’t admit it, but this drive for one (borderless) world (where labor flows freely!) is what has patriotic citizens everywhere wanting to throw the bums out!

Germany has 450,000 failed asylum seekers they plan to deport!

Invasion of Europe news….

You might want to read my post on asylum here last week.  Asylum seekers differ from the refugees we normally talk about because they get to a country like Germany (or the US, or Canada) and ask for asylum claiming they will be persecuted if returned home.  The refugees we write most about here are selected abroad and we fly them in.
So the next time you hear that Germany is welcoming refugees in greater numbers than the US, remember these hordes who arrived in Europe with a goal of getting to Germany over the last two years are migrants seeking asylum.  Now we are learning that, yikes! Germany has 450,000 who failed to prove their asylum claims and will now be deported.

Gee, wouldn’t it have been a better idea to close their borders in the first place!

merkel-poster
They are not going to love her so much when she starts filling up those planes and flying hundreds of thousands out of dear Deutschland. Poster and story here: http://panteres.com/2015/08/28/angela-merkel-syrians-praise-chancellor-for-receiving-refugees/

From the Daily Mail (a department in Berlin will be created to organize the mass deportations!):

Merkel offers cash handouts worth millions of pounds for migrants to return home in an embarrassing U-turn

Angela Merkel will offer cash handouts worth millions of pounds for migrants to leave Germany in an effort to silence criticism of her ‘open-door’ border policy.

In a highly-embarrassing U-turn over the ill-fated plan, which saw 1.2million migrants flock to the country, Mrs Merkel has now vowed to send many of them home.

The German chancellor agreed a package of measures to speed up the deportation process for an estimated 450,000 migrants who have been rejected asylum.

The controversial plan, which marks a significant toughening of previous proposals, includes a £76million scheme that will offer migrants cash incentives to leave Germany voluntarily.

Many will see the move as a desperate attempt for Miss Merkel to claw back support ahead of her challenging re-election bid in September.

Criticism of her decision to leave Germany’s borders open and welcome all refugees during Europe’s migration crisis in 2015 has led to a surge in support for anti-immigrant parties.

[….]

The proposed crackdown, which has been criticised by human rights groups, will also include the creation of a department in Berlin to co-ordinate mass deportations.

Here comes the truth! Do-gooder refugee agencies fear job losses—theirs!

Update February 4th: Now the big boys (top nine refugee contractors) are wailing and moaning, see here.
I am just being flooded both from readers and from my alerts with articles expressing concern for refugees (you know those emotional stories they were promoting in the conference call earlier in the week), but many articles make it clear that the refugee agencies—the federal contractors—are worried about THEIR pocketbooks too.

congress
Where is Congress? This whole refugee contractor system must be trashed! These per head payments to federal contractors for refugee placement leaves no incentive for an agency to slow the flow if a town is overloaded!

The original Refugee Act of 1980 contemplated a ‘public-private’ partnership for placing refugees around America, but what has happened over the years is that the ‘non-profits’ (they call themselves volags, short for voluntary agencies!) became dependent on greater and greater amounts of taxpayer dollars to stay afloat.
Indeed, one contractor USCRI is 97% funded by you.  In other words they have become fat and lazy on your money and so charity fundraisers put on by them are a rare sight.
It’s sort of like a Ponzi scheme!

They are paid by the head from the US State Department, so when not enough “clients” are admitted to the US, guess what? They run out of your money!

Now they are admitting it!

Oregon refugee agencies fear closure, here.

Local refugee agency fears Trump’s EO, here, in Tennessee.

I have no sympathy for them, they got fat on federal funding.  They should all have been figuring out how to raise private money for their ‘charities!’
And, maybe some of their CEOs like British national David Miliband will have to take a pay cut! Heck George Soros could help him out for awhile!
Readers, send me more stories like these (where they complain about having to downsize) and I will update this post!

Why we don't want to be Angela Merkel's Germany

Invasion of Europe news….

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been admired by the globalists (and Islamists!) for her welcome to hundreds of thousands of African and Middle Eastern migrants, so this is a reminder of why we must continue to press the Trump Administration and Congress to not emulate her!

merkel-and-obama
Barack Obama loved and admired Mama Merkel

Merkel is up for re-election this year, so this is likely her effort to look tough!
Story this morning from the UK Express:

16 suspected ISIS jihadis ‘plotting terror attacks’ arrested in 54 German raids

GERMAN counter-terrorism police have carried out a whopping 54 raids on a group of alleged Islamic State supporters believed to be plotting an attack, authorities have said.

The raids were carried out at 3am GMT (4am local time) in the western state of Hesse and targeted 16 alleged would-be jihadis.

Businesses, homes and mosques were targeted in the raids in Frankfurt, Darmstadt and Wiesbaden.

The main suspect of the sting operation is a 36-year-old Tunisian man who has been arrested during a raid in Frankfurt.

Maine: Catholic Charity's grand experiment supplying refugee employees to nursing home company failing

Once again, readers, forget the humanitarian mumbo-jumbo and remember that one of the primary drivers of refugee resettlement is the ‘need’ for cheap LEGAL labor!
We told you about this back in November, here, where a Maine immigration lawyer and a nursing home company, thought it was a brilliant idea to send a large Congolese family to a small town in Maine—to supply the nursing home company with cheap labor!***
Now, it looks the scheme is doomed.  Why? Mostly because the family is lonely for their own kind of people (one member has already packed up and moved to Portland), and Catholic Charities did a rotten job taking care of them and acclimating them to small town American life.

jennifer-atkinson
Maine immigration lawyer Jennifer Atkinson promoted this scheme of placing this family of African laborers in small town Maine. Mainers are too old and too white she said. See here: https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2016/11/25/maine-immigration-lawyer-we-are-too-old-and-too-white/

Here is a brief overview at Bangor Daily News, but I recommend reading the whole long story on which this op-ed is based because it is instructive on so many levels. (Hat tip: Joanne)

Economists, business leaders and politicians agree that immigration is key to reversing or at least stopping rural Maine’s population losses. And some rural towns and businesses have already started looking to immigration to improve their numbers.  [I don’t accept the premise that small towns will be revived by bringing in the third world, or even the premise that we must ‘save’ these towns!—ed]

But the experience of the Kalutas, the first refugee family to be resettled in a small Maine town rather than a city, shows that newcomers need more than jobs and housing if they are going to stay and contribute long term.

In August, the Kaluta family — 15 people from the Democratic Republic of Congo — was resettled by Catholic Charities Maine to Thomaston, population 2,781, because a nursing home there had jobs for them and agreed to provide housing and transportation to and from work. Because of Maine’s workforce shortage [would not be a shortage if they paid well!–ed], their employer, DLTC Health Care, which operates a chain of long-term care facilities, had been unable to find enough employees to hire in the local community.

Although the Kaluta family members have jobs and housing, their lives in Thomaston are tenuous, as a recent Maine Focus article details. [Be sure to see how much DLTC charges them for housing! I have a lot of sympathy for these refugees!—ed]

[….]

The Kalutas did have a caseworker from Catholic Charities who spoke one of their languages, Swahili, but he was located over 70 miles away in Portland. And the family didn’t trust him because he rarely answered their calls and he visited them only twice in Thomaston after they moved, according to the family.

[….]

The situation the Kalutas are in is working for their employer: The nursing home now has five people in positions it was otherwise unable to fill. But whether the situation can work for the family themselves — and for other families in the future — remains to be seen.

More here.
The governor of Maine did withdraw the state from the UN/US State Department Refugee Admissions Program back in early November, but it only means that Catholic Charities (the same agency that screwed up with this family!) will run the program unless he joins Tennessee in a state’s rights lawsuit.
***Having had a mother in a nursing home not that long ago, the idea of people caring for elderly loved ones who do not understand English is an abomination. Elderly Americans have enough trouble communicating what is wrong with them in English, let alone forcing them to try to communicate with a non-English speaking refugee.
