I’ve marveled from time to time lately about the changes I’m seeing with media coverage of the US Refugee Admissions Program.
Granted they are tiny changes so far, but at least some media outlets are looking more carefully at a program that NO ONE questioned eleven years ago when I first began writing RRW.
In 2007 any story about refugees was one that evoked warm feelings about the poor, downtrodden and grateful people that nice church folks were welcoming to America.
I called those stories “refugees see first snow stories.”

Imagine my surprise today when I saw this editorial at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazetteabout the Iraqi refugee (alleged ISIS killer) being arrested in California.
It’s a Twitter hashtag campaign launched by something called ‘We are all America’to pressure the President into succumbing to refugee industry demands for a ceiling of 75,000 refugees for your towns and cities in FY19 (which begins in a little over 5 weeks).
By the way, the Left loves to do this, and they have the money to do it! That is, create campaigns to make it look like their views are in the majority and thus they have all the power. Don’t be fooled.
I will grant that, although the hashtag campaign began only about a week ago, you would think they would have more retweets considering the supposedly vast number of supporters refugee advocates claim to have.
This tweet below has only garnered 4 retweets since the 15th.

I’ve checked off three federally funded refugee contractors, but remember that the Refugee Council USArepresents all nine*** as its lobbying office in Washington.

LIRS is 96-97% funded by you, the taxpayer, and if the President doesn’t raise the refugee admissions ceiling this year they will be in SERIOUS financial jeopardy! They have a lot to lose!
*** These (below) are the nine federal resettlement contractors/advocates which are largely paid for their ‘humanitarian’ work by you, the US taxpayer.
They have every right to organize and speak out against the President, my problem is that they are surely using taxpayer dollars for their advocacy.
As the numbers of incoming refugees decline so too does their income (they are paid by the refugee head!).
Another low year, perhaps lower than this year’s 20,000 plus year, could completely blow to smithereens the budget of one or more of these federal contractors which are demanding a cap of 75,000. (LOL! The nine have colluded so they all are asking for 75,000!)
The number in parenthesis is the percentage of their income paid by you (the taxpayer) to place the refugees into your towns and cities and get them signed up for their services (aka welfare)!

How many more Somalis welcomed to the US are using more than one name?
I’ve snipped just a bit of the story below, but please read the whole thing. A few of the many things that interested me were:
~The pair (28 and 25 years old) it now seems have used various names and have FIVE children with one still in Africa. Is it a young boy they left for the terrorists to raise?
~They came to the US via China and they supposedly got to Beijing, China on $500 (5,725 mile 14 hour flight on $500?). And, why were we picking up random Somalis in Beijing?
~He (whatever his name is) lost his hands in a blast in a market, he says. Was he delivering a bomb that exploded prematurely? Or, perhaps making the bomb?
~The couple was getting ready to move to Minneapolis. What! to hide in the huge Somali community there?

Here we go again! It sure looks like the Trump Justice Department has launched a campaign to ferret out those who fraudulently got in to the US claiming they were refugees.(Reminds me to start watching DOJ press announcements on a daily basis!)
Michael Patrick Leahy atBreitbart has penned another post within days of telling us about the Iraqi refugee arrested in California. In that case the government alleges that the Iraqi was a member of ISIS when he arrived here from Turkey.
Here we learn that the DOJ is alleging that this refugee was not abused and persecuted, but was himself a human rights abuser.
Report: Ethiopian Refugee Arrested for Fraudulent U.S. Citizenship, Was Interrogator During ‘Red Terror’
Special agents from the Department of Homeland Security arrested an Ethiopian refugee after he was indicted on Tuesday on felony charges of allegedly fraudulently obtaining U.S. citizenship.

“Mergia Negussie Habteyes, 58, is charged in an indictment, which was returned by a grand jury for the Eastern District of Virginia on Aug. 14, alleging that Negussie told a series of lies to U.S. immigration authorities in the course of obtaining authority to enter the United States as a refugee, subsequently obtaining lawful permanent-resident status, and ultimately obtaining U.S. citizenship,” The Department of Justice(DOJ) said in a statement released on Friday:
Specifically, the indictment asserts that, when he applied for naturalization in the United States, Negussie falsely stated that he never persecuted persons because of their political opinion, and he failed to disclose that he had committed a crime or offense for which he was not arrested.
In fact, according to the indictment, Negussie served as a civilian interrogator in the Higher 3 prison in Ethiopia in the late 1970s, during a period known as the Red Terror. In that role, Negussie is alleged to have participated in the persecution, through brutality, of individuals imprisoned because of their political opinion.
Additionally, Negussie falsely stated that he never gave false or misleading information to any U.S. government official while applying for any immigration benefit and that he never lied to U.S. immigration authorities to gain entry or admission into the United States and to obtain immigration benefits.
News of the arrest of the Ethiopian refugee in Virginia on felony charges follows the announcement this week of the arrest of an Iraqi refugee and alleged Islamic State murderer in California, who was charged with lying on his refugee application and now faces an extradition hearing based on a warrant for the 2014 of an Iraqi police officer issued by an Iraqi judge in May of this year.
The Washington Posthas a short articleyesterday, but doesn’t give us any additional information.
I want to know exactly when he was admitted to the US as a refugee. I would also love to know which resettlement agency placed him, but that is something we rarely ever hear. An exception is the recent case of the Iraqiwho shot a police officer in Colorado where we learned it was Lutheran Social Services that was his caretaker upon arrival.
By the way, over the years we have brought in a huge number of refugees from Ethiopia and even one of the nine contractors is the Ethiopian Community Development Council (head quarters located in Virginia).

It is no surprise that the US Conference of Catholic Bishops—the largest resettlement agency of the nine NGOs hired by the US State Department *** to place refugees in your towns and cities, is launching this campaign directed at Donald Trump.
For years, I have searched in vain to discover the numbers of refugees each of the nine resettles, but this article at least (thanks to reader Joanne for sending it) tells us that the Bishops must be number one!
“The USCCB, along with a national network of Catholic partners, has resettled nearly one-third of all refugees to the U.S. since 1980.”
As usual, no where in this appeal to parishioners do they mention that they are PAID BY THE HEAD FOR EACH REFUGEE THEY PLACE!
