Today we reached 49,255 refugees, 745 away from Trump 50,000 cap

And, once we pass the 50,000 cap (aka ceiling), then the Supreme Court will be effectively running the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program.

Refugees arriving over the Presidentially-determined ceiling of 50,000 are the responsibility of nine unelected judges who have decided that relatives can’t possibly be terrorists!

The ceiling has been a cornerstone of  the refugee program for 37 years and last week the Supremes took it upon themselves to lay out fuzzy parameters for exceeding the ceiling set by President Trump that no President in at least a decade has exceeded (maybe ever!).
I just checked the latest numbers at Wrapsnet and see that as of today we have admitted 49,255 refugees this fiscal year.  (The fiscal year ends September 30th).
We should hit 50,000 within a few days.  So, will the members of the court begin getting the daily Presidential security briefing when that happens? And, come to think of it, who tells the Supremes that they have exceeded their Constitutional authority? Hmmmm?

Here are the top ten ‘welcoming’ states (so much for Texas trying to get out of the program):

Just so you know, 3 states and the District of Columbia got less than 10 each (Mississippi–6, Hawaii–3, DC–2, and Wyoming–0).
This post is filed in my ‘Supreme Court’ archive.

State Department brags: enough refugees admitted to US to make 10 Pittsburghs

Charleston, WV citizen activist, Brenda Arthur, pointed us to this interesting and useful page at the US State Department website—it is a review of the work of the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) for 2016.
By the way, PRM is still being run by career bureaucrats who have close ties to the resettlement contractors*** and have longtime ideological leanings toward ‘welcoming’ large numbers of third worlders to America.
This graphic (below) is very useful.  Remember though that the US State Department (DOS) share of the costs for refugee resettlement is only a portion of the cost of admitting an average number (about 64,000 is the average over the last ten years) of refugees to the US each year.
Greater  amounts of your tax dollars go to the Dept. of Health and Human Services Office of Refugee Resettlement for refugee welfare and for awarding grants to contractors for myriad activities. There is another chunk that  goes to the Dept. of Homeland Security for ‘screening’ refugees around the world.
Go here, the artwork is useful! But, 10 Pittsburghs? And, this is Trump’s DOS bragging!

More than ten times the population of Pittsburgh!

*** Resettlement contractors receive the majority of their funding from taxpayers via PRM and ORR.  One of the contractors is 99.5% funded by you, others are well up in the range of 95% plus. There can be no real reform of the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program if these ‘non-profits’ continue to call the shots. The minute a new Administration signals a slowdown for a few years, the contractors, which receive funding on a per (refugee) head basis, put their community organizer hats on and run to the Leftwing media screaming bloody murder.

Virginia: Iraqi refugee to plead guilty today to lying on refugee application

She failed to disclose a family relationship to an Iraqi terrorist.  Ho hum! There was no American fatally affected.
I’m joking because in a story I read within the last day, but can’t remember where, a pro-more-refugees advocate qualified his comment about no refugees committing terror attacks to say—no US refugee committed a fatal terror attack on US soil.  That isn’t true, and, the main reason there aren’t more is that the cases have been foiled!

This is the story we reported in March.
(Dear Supreme Court, family members lie!)
We learn that the Iraqi female liar will admit guilt today.
From AP at the Lincoln Journal Star (hat tip: Joanne). BTW, I searched and searched for any photos of the perps, but found none.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) — A Virginia woman living in the U.S. as an Iraqi refugee for the last decade is scheduled to plead guilty Wednesday to federal charges after being charged with hiding her ties to the kidnapper of a U.S. contractor. [Translation—she lied on her refugee application and in her screening interviews!—ed]

Enas (eh-NAHS’) Ibrahim of Vienna was charged in March on allegations of visa fraud.

Prosecutors say Ibrahim, her husband and her husband’s brother all came to the U.S. and settled in the suburbs of the nation’s capital after receiving refugee status.

But prosecutors say the two men are brothers of Majid Al Mashhandani, who admitted participating in the 2004 kidnapping of U.S. contractor Roy Hallums.

Fraud, fraud and more fraud!
In addition to leaving out any reference to the Islamic terrorist brother because people told them in Iraq (who told them, a refugee contractor!) that they would be rejected from the refugee program if they revealed the terrorist brother, they FABRICATED PERSECUTION STORIES FOR THEMSELVES.
See the DOJ press release from March with all of the details of their lies.

How many more Iraqis lied to get in as refugees and to gain citizenship?

Checking Wrapsnet just now, I see that since the US opened the floodgates for Iraqis we have admitted 140,576 with no end in sight!
Virginia is number seven in the top ten receiving states with 4,536.

Alaska got 49 and Hawaii got a whopping four!

Refugee contractors whine about not meeting 110,000 "target" for FY17

Broken record alert! (and apologies to all who have been paying attention).
Here is one more whiny report  where the federal refugee resettlement contractors*** bitch to their media lackeys about Donald Trump’s modest slowdown of the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program.  This particular passage in the CBS whinefest caught my attention.

….several refugee resettlement agencies said that at the current pace, they won’t meet their targets for the fiscal year, which runs from October 1, 2016 to September 30, 2017. They also said it was not clear how the United States will accept 110,000 refugees during this period — a ceiling set by President Obama which remains in place.

Fast facts:
~The 110,000 is not a target. It is not a “goal.” It is a CEILING. Any number under the ceiling  is a legal number to be admitted.
~President Obama set the unusually high CEILING on about September 13th, 2016—8 weeks before election day.
~110,000 is the highest CEILING ever set by Obama, so it is outrageous for the media to portray that number as a standard. See this Refugee Processing Center data:

~Obama did not reach his own CEILINGS in a couple of years (way off in FY 11 and 12). Bush didn’t reach his either.
~If the contractors set “targets” based on 110,000 then that was very poor planning on their part, since most years the CEILING is not met.
~Actually at one point (again see data chart above), the 110,000 CEILING is not shown as still in place as reported by CBS!

If Trump refugee admissions continue at the present rate, he will come in higher than Obama did in two of his years. You would never know that if you hear the contractors whine and their media mouthpieces trumpet their wailing and moaning.

~Even if it is still in place, Donald Trump can legally admit any number under that!
~ Trump did not have to put the CEILING reduction number (50,000) in his Executive Orders.
~The contractors have been agitating for years for the CEILING to be made a target (I sure hope Trump’s lawyers and the Supreme Court understand the distinction and don’t transform it in to a target!).
~As of today, the US Dept. of State has admitted 48,611 refugees this fiscal year.
~The average number of refugees admitted in recent years is in the mid 60,000s.
~At the present rate of  admissions (somewhere around just under 900 a week), Trump’s State Dept. will admit around 62,000 refugees by the end of September. That is higher than 2 of Obama’s years.
~At the rate we were told here in late May (1,500 a week), Trump will admit around 71,000. That number would beat FIVE of Obama’s years.
~The refugee contractors’ budgets are based on a per head payment for the number of refugees brought in.  Fewer refugees=less taxpayer payola for them! Thus they always want more!

*** Here for the umpteenth time are the nine federal contractors that monopolize all refugee resettlement in the US, many are more than 90% funded by taxpayers.  We recently learned that EMM is 99.5% funded by you!

Syrian 'refugees' in Turkey headed home to celebrate Muslim holiday….

….and some plan to stay in Syria!
So, good news on World Refugee Day, right!  Syrians want to go home, so why is the UN distributing them around the world?
From Reuters  (hat tip: Diane):

Carrying suitcases, shopping bags and toddlers, thousands of refugees walked back home into Syria from Turkey on Thursday ahead of the Eid festival that marks the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Turkey has taken in some 3 million Syrian migrants since the start of civil war in 2011, making it home to the world’s largest refugee population.

Now Ankara is giving Syrian refugees the right to return to Turkey within a month if they want to go home to celebrate the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Some said they wanted to start again in their homeland, and would return within the month if it did not work out, while others said they wanted to return to Syria for good, citing the difficulty of finding employment in Turkey.

[….]

Authorities did not give any figures on how many Syrians have returned so far. A Reuters witness said at least 3,000 people crossed on foot through the dusty Cilvegozu border crossing into Syria during several hours on Thursday.

[….]

The offer to return applies to Syrian nationals with valid travel documents who cross through the Cilvegozu and Oncupinar border gates, authorities said. The Eid al-Fitr holiday begins on June 25. Those who wish to return can do so until July 14.

Anyone who comes back after that will be treated as new arrival and subject to the regular immigration process, a local official at the Hatay governor’s office said.

[….]

Authorities say thousands of Syrians have since returned to Syrian towns freed from Islamic State.

So that must mean it wasn’t Bashar al-Assad’s government they were running from in the first place!
More here.
You should know that the majority of the refugees being processed in to the US right now, by the Trump State Department, are coming in through Turkey.
See processing country map below from Wrapsnet:

Turkey is the number one processing country followed by Kenya. Opportunity for fraud? You betcha!
