Finland: Moroccan Muslim asylum seeker was targeting women in terror spree

“Then a person ran towards us shouting ‘He has a knife’, and everybody from the terrace ran inside. Next, a woman came in to the cafe. She was crying hysterically, down on her knees, saying someone’s neck has been slashed open.”

(A witness)

Surely you know what happened in Finland on the heals of Barcelona, but here from Reuters we get more facts on the killer and the poor innocent women who were sadly in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Over the years we have written a few posts on Finland, but it isn’t as easily accessible (or slovenly welcoming) as other Scandinavian countries like Sweden and Norway.

This Reuters story is surprisingly unrestrained and relatively free of whitewash (or is that because those quoted weren’t pulling punches and speaking in politically correct terms?):

HELSINKI/TURKU, Finland (Reuters) – Finnish police said on Saturday that an 18-year-old Moroccan man, arrested after a knife rampage that killed two people and wounded eight, appeared to have targeted women and that the spree was being treated as the country’s first terrorism-related attack.

The suspect arrested following the attack on Friday after being shot in the leg by police in the city of Turku had arrived in Finland last year, police said. They said they later arrested four other Moroccan men over possible links to him and had issued an international arrest warrant for a sixth Moroccan national.

Finnish broadcaster MTV, citing an unnamed source, said the main suspect had been denied asylum in Finland. The police said only that he had been “part of the asylum process”.

The case marks the first suspected terror attack in Finland, where violent crime is relatively rare.

“The suspect’s profile is similar to that of several other recent radical Islamist terror attacks that have taken place in Europe,” Director Antti Pelttari from the Finnish Security Intelligence Service told a news conference.

[….]

Both of those killed in the Turku attack, and six of the eight who were wounded, were women, the police said. The two who died were Finns, and an Italian and two Swedish citizens were among the injured.

Ville Tavio (Finns party): Asylum system is primary means of entry for terrorists.

“It seems that the suspect chose women as his targets, because the men who were wounded were injured when they tried to help, or prevent the attacks,” said Crista Granroth from the National Bureau of Investigation.

“The act was cowardly … we have been afraid of this and we have prepared for this. We are not an island anymore, the whole of Europe is affected,” Prime Minister Juha Sipila said. [Well, maybe not Poland and Hungary that have closed their borders to Muslim migration!—ed]

[….]

Some members of the nationalist Finns party, which was kicked out of the government in June for their new hard-line anti-immigration leadership, blamed the government for what they said was too loose an immigration policy.

“The asylum system is the primary road for illegal immigration, used also by the terrorists. Harmful immigration can be controlled only by reducing Finland’s attractiveness, or by border controls,” said Finns party lawmaker Ville Tavio.

What is asylum?  (As opposed to refugee resettlement)

In the refugee resettlement process, wannabe refugees must prove they are persecuted, the UN screens them (supposedly!) and a country accepts them and flies them in.

For asylum, the wannabe refugee makes his or her way to a ‘safe’ country and then applies for asylum (or often called political asylum).  They are supposed to make a case that they would be persecuted if returned home.  Europe is dealing with mostly asylum seekers (many are phony and are really economic migrants) who are basically loose in the country until their cases can be processed.

And, are often loose because they have been rejected and no one has made them leave!

So, it is a misnomer when you hear the Left and political leaders refer to asylum seekers as refugees. They are not legitimate refugees until their cases have been processed and the governmental body responsible has granted them asylum.

NH: Charges refiled in case of refugee accused of domestic abuse and sexual assault

We told you the outrageous news here where we learned that a Congolese refugee had his charges dismissed because the judge found him culturally incompetent (he abused women, beat his wife, in his native DR Congo so how could we expect him to know better!).

Augustin Bahati will be back in court later this month when they find an interpreter.

The case has been refiled, but delayed when an interpreter didn’t show up in court.

Just a reminder that refugees are entitled to expensive interpreters (often supplied by a refugee contractor***) that you pay for with your tax dollars (costs NEVER reported in glowing studies of how refugees are good for the economy!).

From the Manchester Union Leader (hat tip: Joanne):

MANCHESTER — A court hearing for a Congolese refugee on domestic-related criminal charges refiled by city prosecutors was postponed Thursday because there wasn’t an interpreter available.

Augustin Bahati was there for the status hearing Thursday morning in 9th Circuit Court-District Division and sat in the courtroom for several hours because the interpreter scheduled to translate during the proceedings did not show.

Judge Gregory Michael rescheduled the hearing for Aug. 24 at 8:30 a.m.

The case against Bahati was dismissed in March because he was deemed “culturally incompetent” to understand the American justice system. Acting City Solicitor Emily Gray Rice, who was also in the courtroom waiting for the interpreter, submitted paperwork last month to refile the charges against Bahati.

Here is another story on Bahati where his resettlement agency claims he was given a training program that warned against domestic abuse.

I quickly looked around to see if I could find what language Bahati spoke, but didn’t see it immediately.  Wikipedia  tells us that French is the official national language followed by other obscure languages.  Is your welcoming town ready to supply costly interpreters?

For those of you being told that refugees don’t commit crimes or plan terrorist attacks—see my ten cases, here. This one is small potatoes in comparison to the five horrific crimes I added to the ten terror cases.

***The Federal contractors/middlemen/employment agencies/propagandists/lobbyists/community organizers? paid by you to place refugees in your towns and cities are below.  Under the nine major contractors are hundreds of subcontractors.

The contractors income is largely dependent on taxpayer dollars based on the number of refugees admitted to the US, but they also receive myriad grants to service their “New Americans.”

Increasingly I am hearing that the contractors and subcontractors are running side businesses supplying interpreters thanks to Bill Clinton’s 2000 Executive Order.

The only way for real reform of how the US admits refugees is to remove these contractors/globalist head hunters from the process.

Uphill battle in Maine to criminalize female genital mutilation

The vote could still come this week, but faces an uphill challenge as groups like the ACLU oppose attempts to save little girls from torture because it goes against their politics as reported at WGME 13:

The ACLU is against the bill saying it’s “nothing more than an attempt to single out behavior that is commonly attributed to certain religious and ethnic communities.”

Leo Hohmann at WND on Sunday, gives us a full accounting of the situation.  The key takeaway is that AG Jeff Sessions is not turning a blind eye to the barbaric practice as did his immediate predecessors—Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch.

Female genital mutilation is a form of human trafficking that Maine legislators are currently choosing to allow in their state, say child advocates.

Lewiston is the epicenter of the Somali community. Catholic Charities is responsible for their arrival in Maine. See my huge Maine archive here: https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/?s=Maine

Maine will try again on Aug. 2 to become the 25th state to ban the barbaric Third World practice that involves cutting the genitals of young girls.

Liz Yore is an attorney who has served as general counsel to child welfare agencies and a former member of the National Center for Missing and Exploited children. As an international child advocate, she said she never thought she would see such a gruesome practice taking root in America, preying on its defenseless little girls.

Yet, it’s been a struggle to get some lawmakers to see the necessity of passing state bans on the FGM.

The fickle nature of the federal FGM ban, adopted in 1996, was exposed for all to see under President Obama – his Department of Justice under Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch simply closed its eyes to female genital mutilation, never prosecuting a single case.

That lack of interest in a form of torture on young girls persisted even though the evidence is now breaking open, thanks to a federal investigation in Detroit launched by U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

What Sessions’ staff is discovering is that it’s not just Minnesota and Michigan that are at risk. There’s a secret underground of at least eight states involved.

Maine has been identified as one of the eight “high risk” states, largely because of its large population of Somali refugees. More than 97 percent of women in Somalia have had their genitals mutilated by the time they reach adulthood. The numbers are similar in Egypt, Sudan and Indonesia.

Much more here.

And, on this last point above about where the barbaric practice is carried out, do not believe the lie being spread in many media outlets that it is mostly practiced by an obscure sect in India!

Here is my FGM archive. You will see that FGM hotspots correlate with the top refugee resettlement states.

New Hampshire: Congolese refugee escapes prosecution in domestic violence case

It was  only two days ago that I told you that “assimilation” is a dirty word in the lexicon of the Open Borders/Refugee industry.  I also told you that we have admitted over 40,000 ‘refugees’ from the DR Congo (so  far) with a UN agreed upon goal of taking 50,000.
(DR Congolese refugees are the largest ethnic group coming in under the Trump Administration. Only 3.8% are Muslim, if you are wondering.)

UNHCR asked us to help clean out the camps and we said ‘Yes, sir!’

Now both posts serve as background for this stunner from Manchester, NH about a refugee from DR Congo who beat a woman (no mention if it was his wife) and was given a free pass by the legal system because he had come from a violent culture.
After reading the story here and here, I realized why the refugee advocates and officials have mentioned in the past that women from the DR Congo will need lots of (costly) mental health treatment.

Not just women and children!

Augustin Bahati “lacked the cultural competency to participate in the American justice system.”

And, we were led to believe that we were getting mostly women and children.  I just checked the demographic data at Wrapsnet and was shocked to learn that men and women are pretty much equal in number and in fact in the 21-30 age group in most years, men arriving here out-numbered the women in that group!
Here is a bit from the story at ImmigrationReform.com (hat tip: Joanne):

Assimilation is one of the most critical aspects of any successful immigration system. It determines whether an aspiring migrant will be able to adapt to a nation’s values, laws, and culture. And no, this type of assimilation doesn’t mean that one must throw away all of the cultural heritage that makes a person who they are. Rather, it means that they must reconcile their heritage with the laws and values of the nation they wish to join.

A breaking story in New Hampshire highlights the importance of this concept. According to court records obtained by the New Hampshire Union Leader, a prosecutor dropped domestic violence charges against Augustin Bahati, a Congolese refugee, when she unilaterally decided “that he lacked the cultural competency to participate in the American justice system.” In essence, this means that the prosecutor determined Bahati was still so rooted in his old culture – where domestic violence is presumably acceptable – that he was incapable of being legally responsible for violating American domestic abuse laws.

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), where Bahati is originally from, sexual abuse and domestic violence are commonplace. In fact, The DRC is often referred to as “the rape capital of the world.” Throughout the 20-year, ongoing civil war within the republic’s borders, the Brooking’s Institution estimates that as many as 48 rapes occur every hour, largely stemming from members of rival militias. In addition, there are very few laws on the books aimed at protecting women from spousal abuse.

This decision is highly troubling, especially since Bahati’s alleged crimes include “striking, pushing, grabbing, kicking and pulling out the hair” of a woman who was 27 weeks pregnant, according to the Union Leader. What the Manchester prosecutor seems to be saying, is that Bahati’s domestic abuse should be tolerated, because he is new to the United States and still acting according to the moral and legal standards of his native country.

Does your state ‘welcome’ refugees from the DR Congo?

Most states do. Only HAWAII, Delaware, West Virginia and Wyoming have escaped!
Since this big resettlement began in earnest in FY2013, we went back to that year (up to the present day) at Wrapsnet.  40,216 are living in your towns and cities.  Only 9,784 to go to please the United Nations, but I have never seen one of these camp clean out projects end when they promised it would!

If you can’t read Florida, it is 1,433. Alaska got 81. NH, where this travesty of justice for women happened, got 703. And, Hawaii which is just dying for more refugees got ZERO!

Here are the Top Ten states with the most DR Congolese refugees arriving since FY2013:

So much for Texas getting out of the program. And, where is California, it is most often #1 or 2???

Did you write to ‘The Donald’ today???

Thanks to all of you who have taken the time to tell the White House what you think!

Idaho: Pretrial hearing tomorrow in refugee sexual assault case

The powers that be (supporters of the refugee industry) in Twin Falls, Idaho and indeed throughout the state of Idaho are not looking forward to the trial advancing against three refugee boys charged with assaulting a little special needs girl in June of last year.
If you are a new reader, we posted many times on the controversy in Twin Falls where Chobani Yogurt, in addition to other food products giants, have ‘welcomed’ refugee labor to the community.  See our archive here.
Tomorrow the case is scheduled for a pretrial hearing according to Leo Hohmann writing at World Net Daily last Friday.

The case of an alleged sexual assault by Muslim refugee boys against a 5-year-old special-needs girl is making its way slowly through the Idaho court system, and the parents tell WND that justice is long overdue.

Wendy Olson, then US Attorney for Idaho, created a firestorm of controversy by attempting to silence those who wanted to see justice in the Fawnbrooks Apt. alleged assault. See our report: https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2016/06/28/twin-falls-first-amendment-experts-responses-to-idaho-us-attorney-were-swift-and-severe/ Elections have consequences and Olson is now gone from her government post.

Lacy Peterson and her husband, Levi, have endured nearly 10 months of public shaming and lies told against their family. Even county prosecutor Grant Loebs has used local media to downplay the savagery of what happened to their little girl last June. That’s when two boys from Iraq stripped the girl naked and molested her while the third boy, from Sudan, filmed the incident.

If it had not been for an alert elderly resident of the low-income apartment complex, there is no telling how much worse the assault may have been.

What never could have been anticipated, however, is the way the family and its supporters have been held up to public ridicule by powerful refugee supporters in Idaho and nationwide. City councilmen, the county prosecutor, police chief and even a retired state Supreme Court justice have all taken turns trashing the conservative media that reported on the assault as well as those who have come to the aid of the family.

“We have been treated horribly,” Lacy Peterson said. “The way I feel, our case has been pushed under the rug and soon to be forgotten about. Since June we moved into a house that we can hardly even afford. We were totally fine in the apartments until now.

“I don’t think it’s fair that us Americans get to struggle and work hard and live paycheck-to-paycheck and pray to make bills,” she continued. “And the refugees get to have everything handed to them.”

Lacy suffers from a liver disorder and cannot work. Her husband is a cook at a local hotel. They are raising funds through a GoFundMe account to help with medical and legal bills. They’ve hired a local attorney to represent them in a possible civil suit, but that suit can’t be filed until the criminal case is resolved.

The incident, which happened June 2, 2016, at Fawnbrook Apartments, was witnessed by Jolene Payne, an 89-year-old retired nurse who told WND she saw a 14-year-old boy from Sudan filming the assault in progress inside the laundry room. Two other boys, ages 7 and 10 from Iraq, were inside the room with the little girl, all three with their clothes off, while the older boy shot video.

There is much more! Click here for more details and to see the parade of local and state officials working to bury the little girl’s story!
