No discussion of refugee crisis at CNN debate; Carly leaves me cold

I had to read Daniel Horowitz to see that I didn’t miss anything when I turned off the CNN 2016 Presidential debate halfway through on Wednesday night. Honestly, I couldn’t take it anymore, and as much as I felt it was my duty to watch (for you), my novel (about the Nazi occupation of Poland) was calling me.

Carly at debate
As of this writing, Carly Fiorina has a ‘D’ score on NumbersUSA Presidential score card on immigration and jobs even worse then Jeb’s C- https://www.numbersusa.com/content/elections/races/presidential/2016-presidential-hopefuls.html

Horowitz has been writing some great stuff on the UN/US State Department Refugee Admissions Program so he too must have expected one of the most important issues of the year (the decade, the century!)—how wide is America going to throw open our gates to Muslim ‘refugees’ from around the world especially Syrians right now—to at least be mentioned.
Did CNN not want millions of viewers to know about it, and are the candidates too chicken to mention it?  Or, was it both of those things!
Indeed, because the CNN debate became a free-for-all, you know that if one of the candidates wanted to work in a comment about Obama’s outrageous Syrian resettlement plan, he or she could have.
From Conservative Review (hat tip: Dick).  Emphasis below is mine:

Last night, there was time at the Republican presidential debate to discuss vaccinations and the ten-dollar bill but not a word was uttered about one of the most pressing issues – Obama’s imminent plan to bring in thousands of Islamic refugees from Syria.

Yesterday, the Obama administration announced that the plan to bring in 10,000 Syrian refugees next fiscal year is just the beginning. Overall, they plan to expand the current refugee cap of 70,000 worldwide to 100,000 over the next few years, enabling them to admit tens of thousands more from the Middle East. And that includes places like Somalia as well.

Congress can and must put an end to this charade. Obama cannot bring in more refugees than the amount the annual appropriations for the resettlement program will support. It’s time they use the power of the purse to cut off the money spigot for Syrian and Somali refugees. Moreover, the originally refugee caps established by the Refugee Act of 1980 were set at 50,000. The increase of those caps was supposed to be done in consultation with Congress. It’s time for Congress to have a two-way conversation in this “consultation” and speak out for Americans.  [Where are you Reps Goodlatte and Gowdy?—ed]

[….]

This is what the liberal westerners will never understand. They project their own hopes and aspirations on people who will never share their values. Sure, if I turned the clock back 30 years without the luxury of observing the history of Muslim immigration I would have also thought they’d appreciate our hospitality. But how many painful lessons must we learn in order to protect Americans from such threats? With the growing success of cyber-Jihad there is no way to ensure that these thousands of Syrian refugees of military age will not become radicalized and bite the hand that feeds them. In fact, undoubtedly many of them already have been radicalized.

Accordingly, the more salient question is not how many of them are connected to ISIS, although that is definitely an important point to consider. It’s how many of them dislike our values? For years, America was careful to exclude those who would become a public charge. Can’t we at least exclude those who will likely hate our democratic values?

For those wowed by Carly….

As for all the hoopla surrounding Carly Fiorina, this woman (me!) is not wowed.  I’ve told you, right or wrong, I am a one-issue voter and Fiorina has a ‘D’ score right now on Immigration and Jobs at NumbersUSA, click here.  And, until she says she was wrong, I can’t get past the ill-timed, uninformed speech she did shortly after 9/11, read about it here.

Daniel Horowitz: Carly is in no position to punch Hillary on immigration issue!

told you the other day, I’m a one issue voter.  If we don’t get immigration (how many and who we allow to become permanent residents) slowed (stopped!) nothing else matters.

Carly Fiorina happy to support Dream Act and Gang of Eight!

So, just thought you should see what Daniel Horowitz writing at Conservative Review yesterday tells us about Carly Fiorina on the issue of immigration (among many other issues).  Here is the immigration portion, but please go read the rest of his good analysis.
By the way, it sure looks and sounds like Fox News is doing a Carly coronation these days!  I’m thinking that Rupert Murdoch would love to see a Rubio/Fiorina ticket because they could be controlled and move his open-borders agenda forward!
From Conservative Review:

In 2010, while running for Senate in California against Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer, Carly affirmed her support for the DREAM Act amnesty, noting “I would support the DREAM Act because I do not believe that we can punish children who through no fault of their own are here trying to live the American dream.” The DREAM Act has served as the foundation for Obama’s cycle of amnesty and Fiorina’s defense is the heart and soul of the arguments Hillary can and will use during the general election. Don’t we need a candidate who will be able to throw what is perhaps our biggest punch with full force?

Carly also opposed fixing the birthright citizenship loophole for illegal aliens and referred to it as an “emotional distraction.” She also accused some opponents of amnesty as taking on a racist tone. Again, that is exactly what Hillary says. How can she throw the immigration punch with such vulnerabilities?

In February 2013, when the Gang of 8 released the worst comprehensive amnesty bill of our time, Carly was one of its biggest cheerleaders on the Sunday shows. Appearing on Meet the Press, she said “I applaud and salute the Gang of Eight`s proposal. Let`s move forward and vote on that.” She appeared on This Week on February 3 praising the bill as a “carefully crafted” balance and a “good first step,” while expressing hope that the Democrats would not oppose it. This bill was the embodiment of what is wrong with the very political class she now inveighs against in her well-honed stump speech. Yet, when people like Cruz and Sessions were fighting to stop this bill, which emboldened Obama to expand his executive amnesty and create a new wave of illegal immigration, Carly was cheering the armpit of the political class. This is unbelievable. Hillary can eat her alive.

Read it all.
On the Gang of Eight bill, just remember it would have greatly expanded the role of the federal refugee resettlement contractors and consequently they all lobbied heavily for it.

Before you get too excited about Presidential candidate Ms. Carly

Sorry, if I will offend some of you, but I am pretty much a one issue voter.  The future of America is not going to hang on what happens to Obamacare or any other social program.

The future of America and indeed the future of Western Civilization hangs on one thing only—what we do about immigration and specifically what happens with the migration (the Hijra) of Islamic supremacists the world over.

Carly Fiorina, former chairman and chief executive officer of Hewlett-Packard Co. Time to admit she was wrong!

Fox News seems to be making sure that Carly Fiorina moves up in the polls.  Yes, I agree, she spoke well in the debate last week.  But, I won’t let you forget what she said right after 9/11.  It’s not her facts (or her lack of facts) that is a problem, it is her judgement in uttering the words she spoke.
Here, Gates of Vienna, reposts an article that was written in June.  It begins:

“There was once a civilization that was the greatest in the world.”

And so began a mythical, deceptive tale by Carly Fiorina, when she spoke in praise of Islam within a mere two weeks of their bombing of the World Trade Center. The concern is not that she was attempting to deceive others, but that she, a person who aspires to the presidency of the United States, was herself deceived regarding the true nature of Islam, and that she has never retracted her statements.

We will be waiting for Ms. Fiorina to tell us how wrong she was!
By the way, she has a C- score on immigration at NumbersUSA.

Carly Fiorina at CPAC critical of Obama Syrian refugee plan

PJ Media questioned possible 2016 Presidential contender Carly Fiorina about how she might differentiate herself from Hillary Clinton who in fact was in charge, as Secretary of State, of our Refugee Resettlement program in the early Obama years, and Fiorina said this (hat tip: Paul):

Carly at CPAC: Tougher than some of the men, gets it! on Syrian Muslim refugees and the threat posed by their admission to the US.

‘Why Would We Think We Could Distinguish Good from Bad?’

She criticized the Obama administration for having a “wrong-headed policy” on Syrian refugees. The Obama administration is reportedly planning to increase the number of refugees allowed in the United States. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mike McCaul (R-Texas) said admitting thousands of refugees is a very dangerous and reckless policy.

“ISIS has telegraphed that they want to exploit the refugee process to gain entrance into the West and United States. And we need to stop that,” he said.

Fiorina holds the same position as McCaul, arguing that ISIS is trying to “exploit” the problems with the U.S. legal immigration system that exists today.

“It’s a wrong-headed policy. I mean, this is an administration that is telling us that the reason they are not arming moderate rebels in Syria is because they can’t distinguish the good guys from the bad guys,” she said. “Now, if we can’t distinguish the good guys from the bad guys there, why would we think we could distinguish the good guys from the bad guys here?”

We can’t!  We rely too often on what the refugees tell us.  What a coincidence that we are just now learning how Bill Clinton got it wrong with the Bosnian refugees twenty years ago.

Carly needs to know about how Hillary and the girls destabilized Libya as well resulting in the stepped-up invasion of Europe by so-called refugees.
