Georgia: Knife-wielding Somali refugee woman shot by police; CAIR says she was mentally impaired….

….and was wearing a hijab, thus making her an even greater target for trigger happy police.
Here we go again!  As Leo Hohmann says, here comes the Council on American Islamic Relations and the mental illness excuse!  What I want to know is, if so many of these violent Muslim refugees have mental problem, why weren’t they screened out in the super-duper screening process that Obama’s State Department/DHS claimed we had?
Hohmann’s post opens with this:

Police face backlash after officers shoot, kill knife-wielding Somali refugee near Atlanta

How many times has a Muslim migrant attacked innocent Americans and the Council on American-Islamic Relations or some other advocacy group swoops in to suggest that the attack was a result of mental illness?

~It happened in the mall stabbings in St. Cloud, Minnesota, carried out by Somali refugee Dahir Adan in 2016 [when CAIR suggested Adan’s insomnia may have caused him to snap]

~It happened last summer when another Somali refugee threatened the townspeople of Faribault, Minnesota, with a knife.

~It happened after the Ohio State University car and knife attack in 2016 by Somali refugee Abdul Razak Ali Artan.

~It happened in the attack that killed 14 Americans in San Bernardino in December 2015 by Syed Farooq and his migrant fiancée.

~It happened in Chattanooga in July 2015 when five U.S. servicemen were shot and killed by Kuwaiti-American Mohammad Abdulaziz.

~And when Amina Ali Ahra, aka Iesha Ibrahim, a female refugee from Somalia, attacked and beat a Lawrenceville, Georgia, woman and her daughter with their own flagpole in 2016 the FBI refused to charge Ibrahim with a hate crime because it said she was mentally impaired.

Well, it happened again on Saturday, April 28, in Johns Creek, a suburb of Atlanta, where Somali refugee Shukri Ali Said, 36, was threatening her family members with a knife.

Missing in America: Muslims charged with crimes have disappeared

“When given the opportunity to prosecute the woman who attacked myself and my children, I personally feel they were afraid of retribution from the Muslim community…”

(Victim speaking about the failed  legal system in her county)

This important news went missing on the 4th of July by me and maybe most of you.
From Leo Hohmann at World Net Daily we learn about several cases where refugees and other immigrants charged with crimes, but out on bail, are now missing!
The first case is one we reported here shortly after it happened and asked the question: why is this not making national news?

Aisha Ibrahim, aka Amina Ali Ahra. Why two names? How did she get in to the US as a refugee with two names?

It is the case of a Somali refugee woman wandering around a neighborhood in Georgia who, spying a large American flag on a mailbox, grabbed the flag and attempted to beat a woman and her daughter with their own flag in their own yard.
Here is the update—-the alleged attacker is missing!

On June 19, Aisha Ibrahim became the latest Muslim migrant to jump bail after being charged with a violent crime.

Ibrahim, a 31-year-old Somali refugee living near Atlanta in Lawrenceville, Georgia, was charged with two counts of battery and giving false information to police after she beat a middle-aged woman and her daughter with their own American flag last summer.

The FBI said it looked at the case against Ibrahim, who goes by the alias Amina Ali Ahra, and determined not to file federal hate-crime charges. But, as WND previously reported, the FBI cleared Ibrahim of hate-crime charges without ever interviewing the victims or the witnesses to her violent outburst against the Arno family.

Lawrenceville, GA, about 30 miles from Atlanta, is a huge resettlement site. According to Wrapsnet, Atlanta has resettled 1,355 Somalis in the last ten years.

She ended up being released after posting a $5,800 bond, failed to appear at her scheduled arraignment in March and had it rescheduled twice. The last time, on June 19, the judge finally lost patience and issued a bench warrant for her arrest.

Gwinnett County District Attorney Daniel Porter did not return calls from WND seeking comment on the whereabouts of Ibrahim.

“As far as I know, they have not found her yet,” said Dami Arno, the 43-year-old Lawrenceville woman who was assaulted by Ibrahim last year. “We knew she was gone long before June 19.”

Arno said she was “highly disappointed” in the Gwinnett County legal system.

“When given the opportunity to prosecute the woman who attacked myself and my children, I personally feel they were afraid of retribution from the Muslim community that is protected by law more than an American citizen,” she said. “They allowed my attacker to bond out of jail and failed to notify my family. They allowed her brother to stand in court and claim she was in the hospital and never asked for proof. Then her lawyer was on leave of absence creating another delay.”

After assaulting an American family with their own American flag, Arno said she believes Ibrahim has fled the country or is being harbored by one of the many Somali enclaves inside the U.S.

Somalis arrested in Clarkston, Georgia a long-time haven for refugee diversity

President Trump may be admitting new Somalis to the US every day, but at least the Administration is arresting those here illegally.
No time to say much about it, but want readers to see this story from Georgia (hat tip: Joanne):

Federal immigration authorities have started arresting Somali nationals in parts of DeKalb and Gwinnett counties that have long been havens for newcomers, including in Clarkston, according to African advocacy groups.

Clarkston Mayor Ted Terry welcoming new mosque!

The arrests came after Somalia’s U.S. ambassador recently told Voice of America his embassy has learned that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is planning to deport about 4,000 of his countrymen. ICE confirmed that, as of last week, there were 4,801 Somalis in the U.S. who have been ordered removed. The vast majority of them are not being detained.

Until about a year ago, according to ICE, U.S. authorities could not get travel documents to deport people to Somalia, which has endured persistent deprivation and violence. Since Oct. 1, ICE has deported 237 Somalis, according to federal figures through April 1.

[….]

Omar Shekhey, the executive director for the Somali American Community Center in Clarkston, said as many as 10 Somalis have been arrested in Clarkston, Stone Mountain and in Gwinnett this week alone. He worries they could be deported to Somalia, which is now in the grips of a deadly drought. Those who have been arrested have been in the U.S. for many years, Shekhey said.

[….]

Clarkston Mayor Ted Terry said he is looking into ICE’s activities in his city, adding he is worried how the arrests could impact the relationships between immigrants and refugees and local police.

Georgia mosque plan: Commissioner asks will it bring refugees here?

Yes, it most likely could, mosques are part of the hijra (the migration), however a resettlement contractor spokeswoman quickly said, NO.  She doesn’t believe refugees can be successful in this county.
Hmmm! Wonder where all the new Muslims (enough for a big new mosque and cemetery) are coming from then?
Here is the news from AP at Fox News (is Fox calling CAIR a civil rights group in its headline?):

ATLANTA – A proposal to build a mosque and Muslim cemetery has so angered some residents of Newton County outside Atlanta that their commissioners have temporarily banned all building permit approvals for religious institutions.

The moratorium prompted the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the NAACP to request a federal civil rights investigation in Newton County. A spokesman for U.S. Attorney John Horn confirmed receipt of this complaint Tuesday, but declined comment.

Mohammad Islam, the religious leader behind the proposal, said he doesn’t intend to take any legal action; instead, he met Tuesday with local leaders of other faiths in Newton County, seeking their support for a fresh start.

[….]

One commissioner questioned whether the project would make Newton County “a prime area for the federal government to resettle refugees from the Middle East” in an interview with The Rockdale Citizen, a local newspaper. Two public meetings were held, both crowded with angry opponents who clapped and cheered when people expressed fears about global terrorism.

[….]

But places like Newton County need not fear becoming magnets for refugees, said Amy Crownover, spokeswoman for New American Pathways. The organization is one of five refugee resettlement organizations in Georgia that are contracted with the federal government to assist refugees arriving in the United States.

“We work in partnership with communities, looking for communities where refugees can be successful,” which requires easy access to public transportation, jobs, English classes and other services. Newton County “isn’t an ideal setting,” Crownover said.

I’m wondering if she is implying the folks there are unwelcoming? But, of course, we know that hasn’t stopped the contractors in other locales.

Georgia Somali flag-attack story begs the question: why are we admitting refugees with serious mental illness?

This is an update at World Net Daily on the story about the wild Somali woman who entered a suburban yard and attacked the home owner with the home owner’s flagpole.  See our previous story.
The FBI is not charging the attacker with a hate crime because they say she is mentally impaired.

Amina Ali Ahra
Amina Ali Ahra (burqa obviously removed for mug shot)

If mentally impaired, the case demonstrates what happens as we resettle (dangerous!) refugees into the US with expensive-to-treat health problems, including mental health problems.
Leo Hohmann writing at World Net Daily:

The FBI has determined that no hate crime occurred on the day after Memorial Day in Lawrenceville, Georgia, when a Muslim woman dressed in a burqa came out of the woods behind a homeowner’s house, grabbed the family’s large American flag and attacked them with it.

The FBI was asked by local police to investigate whether Amina Ali Ahra, 30, may have committed a hate crime when she attacked homeowner Dami Arno and her 17-year-old daughter while the two were drinking coffee in their garage on the morning of Tuesday, May 31.

Ahra grabbed the family’s large flag off their mailbox and used the 4-foot long pole made of PVC pipe as a weapon, swinging it wildly at Arno’s head. The 42-year-old fought off the much larger Ahra and two neighbors helped restrain her until police arrived. At one point during the attack Arno’s 14-year-old son emerged from the house with the family pistol and pointed it at the woman assaulting his mother but did not fire a shot.

A federal law enforcement official told WND that Ahra has been determined to have mental health issues, which would make it unlikely for federal prosecutors to charge her with a hate crime.

“But if you want an example of someone who is radicalized you can’t get a better one than someone walking up and grabbing someone’s American flag and beating them with it,” said the official, who asked not to be identified.

Local police Chief Randy Johnson told WND that his department referred the case to the FBI.

But the agent assigned to the case never took the time to interview the Arno family or any of the other eyewitnesses to the attack.

“The FBI agent, Chuck Campo, never contacted our family. We finally reached him and he told us there was no hate crime and I am not entitled to any information on this woman who attacked me in my own home,” Arno said. “He wouldn’t even tell us whether or not she was legally here in this country.”

Keep it up FBI, the public is already suspicious because of your mishandling of the Orlando killer case!
Needless to say, the victim and her family are not happy.  Continue reading here.
