Germany is a disaster and Chancellor Angela Merkel is like a worm on a hook trying to figure out how to release herself. Now, she is trying to tell the German people that, WHEN things calm down in the Middle East, the Syrians and Iraqis will leave. Even if that were true (it isn’t!), it isn’t true of the hundreds of thousands from all over the globe who have invaded Germany at Merkel’s invitation.

Merkel pensive — Merkel: I promise they will leave once there is peace in Syria and ISIS is defeated in Iraq. (When pigs fly!)

Note to Americans: Our refugee program is permanent. I think there is still some misconception that asylum seekers and refugees are only here for a little while until things change back home. That isn’t so, when we accept refugees and asylees they WILL become US citizens and never leave.
When you hear someone say we need to share the burden of Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey which are getting the brunt of the refugee flow, remember most of those ‘refugees’ are living in camps in those countries and will be forced to return home when the conflict ends.
If Merkel believes what she is saying, the migrants arriving in Germany should have been placed in camps and sorted out from there not planted in every town in Germany.

Chancellor Angela Merkel has said she expects most Syrian and Iraqi refugees to return home once the conflict in their home countries has ended. She urged other European countries to offer more help.

Speaking at a regional party meeting, Chancellor Angela Merkel sought to moderate the criticism which has grown over her open-door policy towards refugees from conflict areas in Syria and Iraq.

“We need … to say to people that this is a temporary residential status and we expect that, once there is peace in Syria again, once IS has been defeated in Iraq, that you go back to your home country with the knowledge that you have gained,” she told members of her Christian Democratic Union (CDU) in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on Saturday.

The leader of Merkel’s coalition partners, the Christian Social Union (CSU), Horst Seehofer, has threatened to take the government to court if the flow of asylum seekers is not reduced.

Get ready for the spring tidal wave of migrants! (My recommendation, turn back boats and build camps to contain them!):

Merkel urged other European countries to offer more help by taking in refugees: “because the numbers need to be reduced even further and must not start to rise again, especially in spring.”

Head of the European Union’s border agency Frontex, Fabrice Leggeri said that the UN estimated up to a million migrants may try to enter Europe across the eastern Mediterranean and Western Balkans over the next year.

As we have previously reported a trickle of so-called refugees supposedly fearing persecution have begun to leave Germany as their welfare goodies aren’t fast enough in coming. So, make sure their welfare is meager, housing is difficult and jobs not available and they might go home.

German psychoanalyst: Mama Merkel is nuts!

Breitbart London is reporting the news:

One of Germany’s most celebrated psychoanalysts has said the refusal of Chancellor Angela Merkel to reverse her “completely irrational” migrant policy is evidence of a potential “mental breakdown” that endangers society.

Hans-Joachim Maaz, a German psychiatrist, psychoanalyst and best-selling author, was speaking with Huffington Post Germany when he suggested a “stubborn” Angela Merkel has “lost touch with reality”.

According to Mr. Maaz, the German Chancellor suffers from “narcissism” brought on by people lauding her position as ‘mother of the nation’ and most powerful woman in the world, and calling for her to have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

He says the “artificially inflated self-image” she labours under leads to the “stubborn attitude” on display by her during the ongoing migrant crisis.

Could it be a combination of a mental defect and wishing to please her paymasters (the global corporations, like those at Davos last week, who are greedy for cheap migrant labor).

Just as US federal refugee resettlement contractors are gearing up their massive PR campaign that America should embrace a hundred thousand Syrians and bring them to your towns, thousands of those (supposedly seeking asylum) who flooded into Germany in the last year want to go home!
Why? To put it simply: Not enough welfare goodies and culture shock (“open attitudes” about sex). So much for fear of war.

Merkel Iraqi thank you — In this story (burly fighting age) Iraqis are getting ready to make their move to Germany. One of the best things the EU could do (to save itself) is to craft a PR campaign to be broadcast in the Middle East and N. Be sure to see a post we wrote last August where a Syrian American says that many of those fleeing Syria see Europe as El Dorado (a mythical city of gold) and don’t want to be left out of the gold rush.
The Wall Street Journal has a really good story yesterday:

BERLIN—In October, Amer sold all his belongings in Syria and took his family to a safer life in Germany. Four months later, he wants to return to a country still at war.

Once in Germany, Amer discovered an unexpected reality: Instead of the small house he was hoping for and money to help him open a business, he was given a bare room in an old administrative building turned into an emergency shelter. Now he is packing his bags again.

“I came to Germany because everyone was saying it was heaven. Now I regret that decision,” said the 30-year-old from Damascus.

But many who arrive find the country doesn’t match their often inflated expectations. They balk at modest benefits, poor job prospects, and harsh treatment at immigration offices, and voice other complaints ranging from bland food to Germans’ open attitudes about sex.

The Merkel myth about jobs, just that, a myth (or, how the greedy globalists are destroying western civilization).

Ms. Merkel has said the best path to integration is through work, but most migrants face a long road from the cots of emergency shelters to finding housing and employment.

Economists have warned that migrants with low skills, like Amer, stand little chance of ever finding jobs. While some political leaders say the new migrants will help offset a dearth of German workers in the future, critics say they could become a long-term burden on German taxpayers.

Germany: the tide is turning against Frau Merkel

You’ve probably seen this story at the Daily Mail warning of “dark forces” being unleashed in Germany in response to the policies of the Merkel government that has invited by some accounts a million Middle Eastern and African migrants to Germany. I’m posting it (even a couple of days old) because I want to make the point that how stunning it is that this news is not making it to the American mainstream news or even cable news in any big way. Why?

From the Daily Mail last Friday:

Sitting in his white-walled room on the second floor of an anonymous office block, the German politician talks from the heart.
He states emotionally that his country has changed for ever; that the European Union is finished and Chancellor Angela Merkel’s days are numbered.

‘Frau Merkel, she’s not right in the head,’ adds 46-year-old Siegbert Droese, pointing his finger at his temple.

‘She tells people from all over the Islamic world to come here to paradise. The numbers are mind-boggling and could reach ten million [when the migrants bring members of their families over to join them].

Merkel looking nutty — I predict that one of the greatest mysteries future historians will debate is what caused Angela Merkel to open Germany to Muslim invaders. Is she just flat-out nuts as one of her chief political opponents suggests here?

‘So many young men arriving every day with high testosterone and little respect for women mean the New Year sex attacks in Cologne will be repeated.

‘I am not alone in thinking this. The penny is dropping among ordinary Germans.’

What Herr Droese — president of the populist Eurosceptic party, Alternative for Deutschland (AfD) in the eastern city of Leipzig — says about German views on migrants is all too true.

According to a recent survey, half of the population is now sceptical that Mrs Merkel will cope with the huge influx.

This is despite her recent TV address to the nation — complete with Arabic sub-titles aimed at the 1.1 million migrants who arrived in 2015 and now live at the Government’s expense in 2000 camps, hotels and rented accommodation across the country — when she repeated her insistence that ‘we can do this’.

The tide is inexorably turning against her, and polls show her popularity is declining.

The UK Independent has a couple of good follow-up pieces to the sexual assault news from New Years Eve in Cologne, Germany (and to a lesser degree in other parts of “welcoming” Germany).

Here is the first story from yesterday which tells us that the Muslim political activists are whining about the hateful Germans who want to preserve their culture and their country (imagine the nerve of them wanting to save Germany for Germans!).

In a narrow backstreet overlooking railway tracks, the 140 refugees who live in Cologne’s Hotel Mado say they are living in a climate of fear. An anti-foreigner backlash has come hard on the heels of the city’s New Year’s Eve attacks, which police have said were largely the work of Arab and north African immigrants.

On Sunday night, a lynch mob descended on the area surrounding Cologne’s landmark cathedral where 500 women were assaulted by apparently co-ordinated gangs 12 days ago. Two Pakistani men were badly beaten and three Guinean men and two Syrians were also injured. The attacks stopped only after busloads of police arrived on the scene.

Heiko Mass, the German Justice Minister, today warned of a potential anti-foreigner pogrom.

Germany’s main Muslim umbrella group, the Central Council for Muslims, said that it had been forced to cut off all phone lines after being inundated with abusive and racist calls and emails since the 31 December attacks.

Nineteen suspects have been positively identified by police. Ten were among the one million asylum seekers who have arrived in Germany in 2015, nine as recently as September. Seven were illegal immigrants and two unaccompanied juvenile refugees.

The Pope needs to shut up! Sorry to sound so mean, but this Pope is largely responsible for the hell that has been unleashed on Europe! I’m not going to let anyone forget that in 2013 he went to the shores of Italy and welcomed and blessed the hordes of illegal alien migrants coming ashore!

The Cologne attacks prompted Pope Francis to remark that the “immense influx” of refugees was “causing problems” but that Europe had the means to strike a balance between protecting citizens and helping refugees.

See also this op-ed at the UK Independent by Sunny Hundal which basically says, surprise! All refugees are not saints and the Left better start facing up to that!
Here is one line from his sensible piece ( Will Pope Francis admit this?):

….refugees and asylum seekers aren’t angels, and the left should stop pretending they come without problems.

Hundal’s pragmatic appeal to the Left is—if they don’t start to get that point, the Right will control the message. My prediction: The political Left is never going to admit it and so I expect the anger on the Right to continue to grow. Adding fuel to the fire, there will be more such attacks, some may be worse because German authorities no longer have the will to save dear Deutschland.
