Migrants burn down refugee center on Lampedusa (thank you Pope Francis)

Invasion of Europe news…..
African migrants claiming to be asylum seekers (they are not, they are economic migrants and criminals) set fire to a refugee center on the Italian island of Lampedusa earlier this week (Hat tip: Pamela Geller).

pope on Lampedusa
Pope Francis went to the Italian island of Lampedusa in July 2013 and blessed the migrants while lecturing the Italians to be more welcoming! Migrants are trying to find “serenity and peace” said the pontiff. https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2013/07/09/pope-lectures-on-lampedusa/

Breitbart:

A group of Tunisian migrants set fire to the main pavilion in a Lampedusa refugee welcome center Tuesday night, causing severe damage, after learning they would be repatriated to their home country, according to reports. [They were determined to not be legitimate refugees.—ed]

The fire enveloped the first aid and reception center of Imbriacola in Lampedusa, which presently houses some 530 asylum-seekers, though no injuries have been reported. This is not the first time that migrants have set the pavilion ablaze. Similar acts of arson occurred in 2009 and then in 2011.

After hours battling the fire, which was set around 10:30 pm, teams of firefighters stationed on the island were finally able to get the blaze under control in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Reports suggest that in recent weeks tensions had already been growing inside the Lampedusa welcome center, linked to the refusal by a group of African migrants, mainly from Eritrea and Yemen, to submit to identification and registration procedures including the taking of fingerprints.

When is the last time you have seen news like this at any mainstream media outlet or on cable news?  One day America will wake up to the fact that Europe is lost and they will wonder how that happened so quickly.  It hasn’t been that quick!  We have reported on the invasion for many years now and chronicled the inability (unwillingness) of European leaders to stop it!

So much for the Pope's power of persuasion

Invasion of Europe news…..

I wasn’t planning to write about the Pope’s propaganda stunt in Greece late last week where he visited the island of Lesbos and picked 12 lucky Syrian Muslims to take back to Rome with him, but there is one little bit I want you to see in this report from The Guardian.

Pope Yazidi
If he wasn’t going to help Christians, the Pope could have sent an extremely important message if he had taken 12 of the persecuted minority—Yazidis!—back to Rome. Photos: http://www.theguardian.com/world/gallery/2016/apr/16/pope-francis-europe-visits-lesbos-in-pictures

One of the major themes throughout the last nearly nine years that I’ve written this blog has been the criticism toward phony Christian/Jewish charity that depends on stealing from taxpayers in order to help the downtrodden all the while claiming credit for being charitable.
I don’t consider that charity—taking Caesar’s money and transferring it from one group of people to another isn’t charity!  But, it has become such an established practice no one seems to think about it anymore.
So, see this toward the end of The Guardian story (which by the way does not tell us if the Pope’s 12 Syrian Muslims will live completely on the Vatican’s dime and not the Italian government—something I doubt we will ever learn because the answer is probably that the Italian taxpayer will be footing their bill for years to come).

Get this! the Pope has been unable to persuade European Catholic Dioceses to take in refugee families!

Is it because they are primarily Muslim ‘refugees,’ or because the churches have become so conditioned to the concept that ‘Christian’ charitable money comes from the taxpayer that they no longer want to pony-up out of their own private funds?  A little of both? Who knows?

The three families, who had initially set their sights on reaching Germany or another European country, were expected to seek asylum in Italy.

Their arrival brings to about 20 the number of refugees living in the Vatican, which has fewer than 1,000 inhabitants. A similar intake across Europe would see 6 million people given asylum on the continent of 300 million. [Does the Vatican give them special Muslim prayer rooms, etc.—ed]

Last year, the pope appealed to every Catholic diocese in Europe to take in a refugee family, an appeal that fell on deaf ears across most parts of the continent.

The number of migrants arriving in Greece has fallen drastically since Turkey agreed to take back all those landing on the Greek islands in return for billions in EU cash and other concessions.

And, by the way, never forget that it is Turkey that originally allowed the launch of hundreds of thousands of Middle Easterners and Africans from their shores to invade Europe. Most of the Syrian Muslims were safe in Turkey.

Illegal African migrants, rescued at sea, riot, want to move northward in Europe

Invasion of Europe news…

Here they come! It’s spring and the European invasion from Africa is picking up steam.

Looks like the spring migration from North Africa is well underway. Somalis and Eritreans this time.  I expect the invasion from Africa to be in full force soon as the bottleneck in Greece (of mostly Middle Easterners) is impeding movement through that country.
It is the invasion one-two punch!
Here is the latest about the riots yesterday on the Italian island of Sardinia.  Both Breitbart and the UK Daily Mail have the story.

The Leader of Italy’s Northern League, Matteo Salvini, did not mince words. “I am sick and tired of these immigrants,” he said. “They want to leave, so let’s weigh them and ship them back home.”

By the way, have you seen any of this on American mainstream media?  No? Me either!  (They are all too busy counting delegates!)
One more thing—speaking of the campaign—be sure to see my post this morning at American Resistance 2016 about Trump’s plan to curtail one of the primary drivers of migration to America—remittances!

Lucky Europe! Louseborne Relapsing Fever among East African Refugees, Italy, 2015

That is the title of an article at the Centers for Disease Control which reminds us that it isn’t just the Islamic terrorists that Europe has to worry about, but diseases that had long been eradicated in advanced western countries.   Lucky taxpayers too!

More ‘Invasion of Europe’ news……
From the CDC:

During June 9–September 30, 2015, five cases of louseborne relapsing fever were identified in Turin, Italy. All 5 cases were in young refugees from Somalia, 2 of whom had lived in Italy since 2011. Our report seems to confirm the possibility of local transmission of louse-borne relapsing fever.

Louseborne relapsing fever (LRF) was once widely distributed in all geographic areas, including Europe and North America, occurring in association with poverty and overcrowding. In Europe, it virtually disappeared after World War I in parallel with improved living conditions that led to substantially decreased body lice infestations in humans (1). Currently, LRF is reported mostly from Ethiopia and surrounding countries, where it is endemic (2): in this region, it is an extremely common infection with substantial mortality. The causative agent is the spirochete bacterium Borrelia recurrentis. In nature, the only relevant vector is the body louse, which feeds only on humans; no other reservoir for this infection is known (1,3). The incubation period is 3–12 days. We report 5 cases of LRF in refugees to Italy from East Africa that occurred during 2015.

[….]

Italy has recently received large numbers of refugees from East Africa, particularly from Somalia. These refugees come from and travel through countries where B. recurrentis is endemic; along the way, they are often sheltered in crowded conditions with very poor hygienic facilities. Two of the patients reported here indicated that, while staying in Libya, they were held with many other persons in a close environment, and all refugees housed together reported severe itching.

Many of these refugees enter Italy through Sicily, from where they are sent to reception centers throughout the country. Some of these reception centers have grown to substantial size and now house a more stable population, with continuous input of new arrivals. In these conditions, local transmission can occur with a possible risk for epidemics: 2 of the 5 patients reported here were long-term residents in Italy, and they denied recent travel to Africa, so they probably acquired the infection while being housed in the same facilities as the newly arrived refugees. Although it is possible that they denied recent travel for fear of legal consequences, they are unlikely to have had the opportunity to travel out of Europe for economic reasons.

Sicily: Elderly couple murdered by African refugee; some locals take revenge

You’ve probably seen the news of the grisly murders of an elderly husband and wife on Sicily.  The wife, 70 years old, is believed to have been sexually assaulted before being thrown off a balcony to her death.  This is an update.

Sicily murdered
I don’t think we even have to say ‘alleged’ murderer in this case. Mamadou Kamara was wearing clothes he stole from the victims and had his own bloody trousers in his possession .

The refugee, Mamadou Kamara, from the Ivory Coast had arrived in Italy on one of the many migrant boats invading Europe from Libya (too bad his boat was one of the successful ones).  Don’t forget, Ms. Hillary played a role in destabilizing Libya.
Seems the latest news is that several Sicilian youths have been arrested for ruffing up some other African refugees in what is being described as retribution.
From International Business Times.

The murdered couple’s daughter pointedly told politicians to stay away from the funeral.

Two migrants have been assaulted and robbed by a gang of Sicilian youths in what police fear is a retribution attack for the murder of two pensioners, allegedly at the hands of a would-be refugee, in the small town of Palagonia.

Tensions have soared in the small farming community, located near Catania, after 18-year-old Ivorian Mamadou Kamara, who was staying at the nearby Mineo reception camp for migrants, was arrested over the murder of Vincenzo Solano, 68, and his wife Mercedes Ibanez, 70.

Hundreds of people flocked a local church for the funerals of the couple, who police believe were killed during a robbery gone wrong. Kamara is accused of slashing Solano’s throat before throwing Ibanez to her death from a balcony. Police said an initial forensics examination suggest she was also sexually abused.

Ivory coast
Not just Syrians swarming Europe. Killer is from the Ivory Coast.

Detectives were quick in arresting Kamara, who arrived in Italy on a boat from Libya in June and asked for asylum. Evidence against him appears crushing. He was stopped during a routine control at the Cara Mineo a former US military base immersed in orange groves turned into Europe’s largest migrant holding camp, hosting 3,200 people from Eritrea, Sudan, Nigeria, Gambia, Liberia, Afghanistan, Syria, Pakistan and elsewhere.

A search of his bag revealed a video camera, a mobile phone, a PC, a gold chain and other goods all belonging to the murdered couple. The bag also contained a pair of blood-stained trousers, which Kamara sported in pictures retrieved by his mobile phone. At the time of the arrest he was wearing clothes taken from the victims’ wardrobe.

Kamara denies the accusations, claiming he found the bag abandoned in a garbage can off a street.

Solano’s daughter, Rosita, a 46-year-old school teacher, said she blames the government for the murder. “They let these migrants come here and they do what they want, including burgling and killing,” she said, adding that politicians were not welcome at the funerals.

So now Italy gets to keep this killer in prison for the rest of his life at taxpayer expense?  (I doubt they have the death penalty in Italy.)
