We have been trying to identify the new resettlement sites the US State Department has been bragging about. They are very secretive about where they want to go next, but they need new sites as they wear out their welcome in long established sites and because Obama has determined that the numbers are being vastly expanded for FY2017 which is already underway.
There is no list one can access (they have mentioned 47). There are only stories like this one that sneak into local news that tip us off as to where they want to go next. For new readers, Catholic Charities would be a subcontractor of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops.
The Catholics in Youngstown must have run out of poor Americans to care for there.
From WKBN News (hat tip: Joanne):
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown held a community forum to discuss the thought of bringing refugees to Youngstown.
About 200 people, both for and against the idea, attended the meeting at Saint Columba Hall Wednesday night.
It was an opportunity for those who are enthusiastic about the possibility of refugee resettlement, as well as those who may be resistant to the idea, to learn more about the issue, ask questions and engage in a dialogue.
[….]
“Maybe 25 to 30 people, which is not that many, and help them by being involved in the work of the Catholic Charities here,”said Cleveland Migration and Refugee Services Director Thomas Mrosco.
On that last point, we have been led to believe that a new resettlement site cannot be established unless it starts with 50 refugees in the first year. Then, like it or not, the pattern is that the next year they will get 100-150 until they are like the town of Lancaster, PA be swamped with 700 needed third worlders arriving every year!
See our ‘Ten things you need to know if you are ‘welcoming’ refugees for the first time.’ Once a site is opened, there will be no going back and your town will not get to pick from the ethnic groups the DOS is bringing in.
Here is the original list of sites, click here. And here, below, are the new sites we have identified so far:
Asheville, NC
Rutland, VT
Reno, NV
Ithaca, NY
Missoula, MT
Aberdeen, SD
Charleston, WV
Fayetteville, AR
Blacksburg, VA
Pittsfield, MA
Northhampton, MA
Flint, MI
Bloomington, IN
Traverse City, MI
Watertown, NY (maybe)
Michael Patrick Leahy’s latest expose’ on where ACTIVE Tuberculosis is found in America reveals that the Akron, Ohio area has it too.
We have a few posts on Akron here at RRW. I’d like to direct you to one in particular because it is an example of what I am learning on my road trip through the heartland. There is money involved in refugee resettlement and local elected officials and their cronies are figuring out how to tap it! It is your money as developers look to the taxpayer-funded gravy train coming from Washington! (In addition to the foreign money that is buying up real estate!)
I digress. Along with the money (for special people) comes other problems, including frightening health risks for all of us.
Leahy at Breitbart:
CLEVELAND, Ohio–Eleven refugees have been diagnosed with active tuberculosis in Summit County, Ohio, over the past six years, Dr. Margo Erme, medical director of the Summit County Public Health Department tells Breitbart News.
The case of active and communicable tuberculosis were in the county that holds Akron, with a population of 199,000. It is the largest city in Summit County, population 541,000.
The county lies immediately to the south of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County. Many of the delegates and members of the media attending the Republican National Convention held in Cleveland this week are staying at hotels in Summit County and are shuttled on buses thirty plus miles each way.
“From 1/1/2010 through 12/31/2015, 37 cases of tuberculosis (both pulmonary and extrapulmonary) were reported in Summit County,” Dr. Margo Erme, medical director of Summit County Public Health, tells Breitbart News in an email.
Of those, “16 were US-born” and “21 were foreign-born.” Of the 21 foreign-born, “10 did not come into the US on refugee status, 11 came into the US on refugee status,” Erme says.
Of the “US-born” I would like to know how many live in households with the “foreign-born?”
No time to write more, but check out this fluffy puffy piece on the growing Arab population of Toledo—a city I just visited! A “model city” for Syrian refugees they say! Ahhhh! More when I have time.
Oh boy, the newest buzz word in the refugee industry is “collaboration” (gee, is that what is driving the Twin Falls mayor and council too, they want to be like Boise?). Here is a storyon Cleveland where we are told that the refugees are better off than refugees anywhere else in America! Yes, you got it! The rest of you (200 towns and cities) better shape up!
And who says Cleveland’s are the best, none other than Refugee Services Collaborative of Greater Cleveland. Go hereto see what/who that is! I bet if you researched each group making up the “collaborative” most would be living off your tax dollars. Read it all! Go here to readabout when Welcoming America first showed up in Cleveland in 2013.
Welcoming America is collaborator-in-chief!
Yesterday a reader sent me an alert from Welcoming America which says the deadline has been extended one week for you to get your grant requests in to them to see if you will be one of the big winners—you will get federal $ to be trained on how to collaborate to make your town the most welcome town it can be! In the past year, Welcoming America (WA) received an Office of Refugee Resettlement grant to distribute to the those lucky winners who submit the best applications for projects that seek to develop strategies to (LOL! my phrase) ‘mind meld’ your community, to turn it from a town filled with a bunch of hateful unwelcoming redneck boobs to a town filled with love and understanding where multicultural joy reigns supreme for ever and ever.
Here is WA which received just short of $300,000 of your dollars for the project (go to USA Spending.gov). Deadline was this coming Friday (July 1), but has been extended for another week (what? not enough takers?):
Collaborations for Welcoming Refugees Deadline Extended to Friday, July 8
Apply for an exciting new opportunity to advance your local collaborative through customized coaching and training from Welcoming America. Local collaboration shows great promise for coordinating, expanding, and scaling refugee integration and welcome in communities. Many communities such as Boise and Cleveland have had great success in fostering greater community support for refugees through local community collaborations.
Collaborations for Welcoming Refugees participants will receive personalized technical assistance and will connect with and learn from other collaboratives participating in Collaborations for Welcoming Refugees. Whether your collaborativeis just starting out or is more seasoned, apply now to be part of this new effort. Learn more and apply for this exciting opportunity by Friday, July. [They obviously left off the 8—ed]
They are called collaboratives in case you missed it. Go hereto see what you have to do to get a fistful of taxpayer dollars to promote the colonization of your town and thus help change the demographic makeup of America so that big businesses/Chambers of Commerce, like the members of Global Cleveland (a member of the Cleveland COLLABORATIVE) can increase their bottom lines!
Note to do-gooders! You and the refugees are being used! Go here for all of our previous posts on Welcoming America.
Update February 16th: Original reports may have been inaccurate about the machete man’s nationality, see more here. …..If it walks like a duck! I’m assuming that by now most of you with concerns about the large number of Muslim refugees being admitted into the US have seen the news.
It took awhile for the slasher’s (the “hater’s”) name to be released and I suspect that is because one of his names happens to be Mohamed. And, although mainstream media (like CNN) will probably never use the word “refugee” in a news story, (CNN said he was a “lone wolf”), I’m pleased to see that internet news is using the ‘R’ word. Almost all of the hundreds of thousands of Somalis in the US are refugees admitted to the US through the UN/US State Department Refugee Admissions Program or their children (there are now many generations in the last three plus decades!).
Way back in 2008 we wrote a post where we had researched each year of State Department/ORR records to show readers how many Somalis were resettled each year since the 1980s. See that post here.
It is no surprise that this happened in Columbus, which is hosting the second largest Somali population in America (behind Minneapolis). We have many posts on Columbus, click here for more reading pleasure. And, you can bet that Governor John Kasich has never once questioned why Ohio is being overloaded with Somalis.
Four of nine major resettlement contractors are working to colonize Columbus: Church World Service, Episcopal Migration Ministries, Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, and World Relief/Evangelicals (scroll down to Ohio, here). For new readers, don’t be so shocked that YES, the Somali Muslims are being resettled by supposedly Christian and Jewish organizations.
I did a little numbers research and Yikes! we admitted 43,653 Somalis to the US JUST SINCE OBAMA TOOK OFFICE! So while we are freaking out about Syrians we should be having heart attacks over this vast number of Somalis because you know they can’t be any better “vetted” than Syrians! Here is where the 43,653 were resettled since January 1, 2009 (up to January 1, 2016). Of the 2,476 who went to Ohio, 2,118 went to Columbus in just the last seven years!
Now here is one of many stories about the Ohio Somali refugee machete man.
While the President visits mosques, scolds Americans and continues to parrot his own ideas about Islam and extremism, a Muslim Somali refugee launched a bloody attack on the unsuspecting diners at a Columbus, Ohio, restaurant owned by a Christian Arab who immigrated from Israel.
[….]
The Somali man had calmly entered the eatery, the Nazareth Mediterranean Restaurant, pulled out a machete and began to arbitrarily slash patrons. “He came to each table and just started hitting them,” Carol Bass, one of the witnesses, told a reporter from the local CBS TV affiliate. “There was a man (laying) on the [restaurant’s floor] bleeding. [T]here was blood on the floor. It was awful. It… was carnage.”
Four people were wounded in the machete attack, one critically, according to the local police officers responding to the attack, which has not yet been classified a terrorist attack. “Police officers are loathe to describe anything as a terrorist attack. That’s the unwritten regulation when it involves a suspect from the Middle East. The suspect is a Muslim, he’s from a country that’s practically run by an Islamic terrorist group — in Somalia it’s probably Al-Shabaab — and he attacks a public facility such as a shopping mall or a restaurant and no one wants to call it terrorism. At least until President [Barack] Obama says so,” claims former counter-terrorism unit police officer John Roger Langdon.
Senators Sessions and Cruz want the Obama Administration to stop covering up arrests of Muslims!
In fact, Langdon noted that Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., and Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, recently sent a letter to Attorney General Loretta Lynch calling on the administration to stop covering up the arrests of Muslim jihadists within the U.S. The senators’ letter states that since early 2014 there have been 113 arrests of Muslims implicated in terrorist activity on U.S. soil and the Obama administration refuses to provide an immigration history on any of them.
Sens. Sessions and Cruz also mention in their letter that most of the cases involving radical Muslims have received little or no coverage in the national media as a result of blind support to the President or being ensnared in the political-correctness orthodoxy..
The targeted restaurant’s owner, Hany Baransi, who is identified by cops as a Christian Arab from Israel, said he had not taken a day off since Jan. 2 but took off Thursday night because of a migraine headache. He is a proud Israeli citizen who flies the Israeli flag in his restaurant.
I’ve told you over the holiday weekend that a massive PR campaign is underwayto push back at the governors and others who are wary of admitting Syrian mostly Muslim refugees to the US.
They are very worried because this is the first real opposition to refugee resettlement in the 35 years of the program.
Here is just one example, this one from Ohio, of who is leading the pack in the pushback—CAIR and Islamic leaders joined by members of “interfaith” groups and resettlement contractors who make their living doing this work.
You can be sure if Obama said we were taking 10,000 Christian and Yazidi Syrians that CAIR would not be promoting letters like this one. (BTW, I had to search for a few minutes to find the letter, at CAIR’s website, since the news article did not link to it). Hereis the story at the Columbus Dispatch:
A coalition of more than 50 faith and civic leaders sent an open letter to Gov. John Kasich last week asking him to reconsider his stance against resettling Syrian refugees in Ohio.
Among those who signed was Michael Orra, president of the Islamic Council of Ohio, which represents 24 Muslim groups and mosques in the state, including the Islamic Foundation of Central Ohio.
Kasich is “jumping on the GOP bandwagon” with his position, Orra said, one that is “un-American” in its wholesale refusal to admit the refugees.
“These people have been in refugee camps waiting their turn,” Orra said. [Waiting their turn!—What nerve!—ed]
Toledo has a long-standing Arab-American community and leads the state in the number of Syrian refugees settling there: 54 this year.
Brittany Ford, the project manager and co-lead of the Welcome Toledo-Lucas County initiative to help immigrants settling in that area, expects more to come, despite Kasich’s stance.
Again, go here to CAIR’s website to see the letter and the signatures! Is your “faith group” on the list?
If you live in Ohio, you must let Kasich know what you think!
The Left (the Democrat party and its friends at CAIR) need to make sure Ohio is a reliably blue state and that is why it is so important to continue to pour in the refugees and immigrants generally.
Again, those promoting Muslim resettlement to the US have never had the pushback they are getting since Paris, so please get involved!
We have many posts on the colonization of Ohio, click herefor more.
