France: Rwandan Refugee Protected by Church Arrested for Cathedral Arson

Invasion of Europe…..

You might have seen the news about yet another church torched in France, but maybe you didn’t see the follow-up.

From the Daily Mail (hat tip: Cathy):

Rwandan refugee, 39, faces up to 10 years in prison after admitting arson attack on Nantes cathedral

A Rwandan refugee could face up to 10 years in prison after admitting setting fire to Nantes cathedral.

The 39-year-old man, who has solely been identified by his first name Emmanuel, worked as a volunteer security guard at the 15th-century Cathedral of Saint Peter and Saint Paint which set alight last week.

Three fires had been started at the site on July 18 and it took 104 firefighters to control the blaze which tore through the building and caused millions of pounds worth of damage.

The Rwandan refugee was questioned for a second time yesterday by prosecutors and he was placed under formal investigation early this morning after confessing to setting fire to the cathedral, French newspaper Le Monde reported.

[….]

Emmanuel was being housed by the Nantes diocese, having arrived in France five years ago, and was one of seven security guards at the cathedral.

On the day of the fire he was responsible for locking up the cathedral, which was started in 1434 and took more than four centuries to complete.

Hours later, fire and thick black smoke could be seen pouring out of the building, causing millions of pounds worth of damage.

The main organ, which dated back to 1621, was completely destroyed, along with priceless stained glass.

[….]

He served at the altar,’ said Father Champenois, before Emmanuel was charged. ‘He was well liked. He was a Rwandan refugee who took steps to obtain papers in France.’

Michel Bourcier, the cathedral organist, said: ‘We have been saying hello and good evening for several years. He is extremely courteous.’

It is presumed that “Emmanuel” is a Christian, but you never know since when advancing their cause, Muslims are permitted to lie.

And, don’t forget!  Just because a refugee is (or says he is!) a Christian it doesn’t automatically mean he/she is a good person!

Race war???

Reader Paul sent this yesterday ( a post from last year) about the coming race war in Europe.  It’s a good read and it might be worth buying the book.

This post is filed in my ‘Invasion of Europe’ archive.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa: Rwandan refugee charged with naturalization fraud

The next time you hear one of the advocates for refugee resettlement claim that the screening is very thorough, remember this case!

I think one of our problems (well, the do-gooders’ problems) is that we (they) can’t wrap their minds around the incredible lies refugee wannabes are willing to tell.    See all of our posts on lying (and other criminal) Rwandan refugees by clicking here.

From The Gazette (Hat tip: Joanne).  Emphasis is mine:

Can you believe it? Ken Ngombwa allegedly lied to get into the US as a refugee.

CEDAR RAPIDS — A Cedar Rapids man who is originally from Rwanda was charged Tuesday in federal court with naturalization fraud.

Ken Ngombwa, 54, is charged with one count of unlawfully procuring or attempting to procure naturalization or citizenship; one count of procuring citizenship to which he was not entitled; one count of conspiracy to unlawfully procure citizenship; and one count of making a materially false statement to agents of the United States, according to an indictment.

The indictment said Ngombwa attempted to obtain citizenship for himself and family members who accompanied him to the United States from Rwanda from March 1998 through Nov. 19, 2004.

Ngombwa and others allegedly made a number of false statements to U.S. immigration authorities, who decided to grant Ngombwa refugee status and permanent resident alien status, which permitted him to become a citizen.

According to the indictment, Ngombwa claimed he was the brother of Faustin Twagiramungu, a former prime minister of Rwanda.

Ngombwa appeared in court Tuesday and was released on bond. He was ordered to surrender any passport or travel documents, stay in Linn County, have no contact with potential witnesses and undergo a mental health evaluation.

If convicted, Ngombwa faces up to 30 years in federal prison and a $1 million fine. He also faces loss of citizenship. [So we get to pay for him in prison for 30 years?—ed]

Ngombwa also faces second-degree arson and insurance fraud charges in Linn County District Court. He is accused of setting multiple fires in his home in July 2013 and giving his insurance provider false information about the fire.

So will he and his extended family be deported?

Be sure to visit The Gazette for the arson story involving Ngombwa from earlier this year.

I think the US State Department should be responsible for paying for all of the legal costs associated with THEIR mistake.

Check out this story about how much the lying Rwandan cost us in New Hampshire a few years back.

I know it is still our tax dollars no matter what federal or state jurisdiction foots the bill, but I would still like to see these criminal cases paid for out of the US State Department’s budget.  Maybe they could even reimburse Iowa, Linn County and the city of Cedar Rapids for anything this liar cost the local and state government, even all the welfare they probably are still receiving.

Rwandan refugee accused of raping 90-year-old on Ohio bike trail

Here is a dreadful story from Dayton, OH (good catch by reader ‘pungentpeppers.’)

From ABC22  (be sure to watch the news clip, but this, below, is basically the text of it).

The crime occurred on July 14th on the Creekside Bike Trail, but Jean Paul Mpanurwa, 26 was not arrested for the crime until a few days later.  DNA tests link him to the crime and bail was set at $500,000.  There was early confusion about his nationality (Congolese or Rwandan) and whether he was on a student visa or was a refugee.

Jean Paul Mpanurwa arrested for allegedly raping 90-year-old woman.

This account concludes he is a refugee from Rwanda.***  Because he committed an earlier crime in Utah, the chances are good that he was resettled in “welcoming” Utah and that refugee contractors there know him (in case any investigative reporter wants to search further).  I checked and the State Department did send both Rwandans and Congolese, although in small numbers, to Utah.

Update: Here is another story that says his relatives are Congolese?

ABC22:

DAYTON — We have learned much more about the 26-year-old immigrant who is accused of raping a 90-year-old woman along a Dayton bike path.

Our team spent hours on the phone with several federal agencies and learned Jean Paul Mpanurwa was here legally. Sources tell us he’s a refugee from Rwanda, but since he committed a sexual offense in another state, we wanted to know why he was allowed to come to Dayton.

“I get incensed, and then I get irate. And I’m like in my neighborhood? In my neighborhood?” said neighbor David Messer as he explains the sense disbelief and fear that lingers over his neighborhood near Radio road, even though Mpanurwa is locked up.

“I won’t go out at nighttime anymore… my husband goes with my at night time if I have to go to the store,” said a neighbor who only wanted to be identified as Mary.

She and other neighbors want to know why Mpanurwa was able to join his family in Dayton in the first place.

“Who would really in truly do that to a 90-year-old woman?” asked Mary.

We searched through pages of court documents, and found Mpanurwa admitted to groping a fellow student at a Job Corp in Utah last Fall. His conviction of sexual battery was only a misdemeanor. A misdemeanor crime, even sexual in nature, is not grounds for deportation.

On Monday, we heard Mpanurwa was here on a student visa; but sources now tell us he would never be granted a student visa for nine years, and he was living here as a refugee. Neighbors we talked to today are outraged that more wasn’t done, and want lawmakers to revisit the books.

“Look at the laws on it, you know if he was supposed to be here as a refugee, you know, why is he still over here, really?” asked Mary.

“This is a serial person, he fits a pattern,” said Messer who knows that will help the Prosecution’s case. And as they build their case, Immigration and Customs enforcement already have a federal hold on him. That means if he’s convicted of this rape, they have already started the deportation process.

The comment by Mary above shows just how little the general public knows about the US Refugee Resettlement Program that is now over three decades old.   Refugees never are expected to go back ‘home’ even when things improve in their country.  They are here permanently!   People like Mary (not that she would be expected to know!) think we give refugee status just so someone can get out of harms way for a little while!

***New readers might want to check out this story about a costly Rwandan war criminal who was recently convicted in New Hampshire and sentenced to ten years in prison (her trial(s) cost taxpayers millions).   Surprise! She lied on her application for refugee status.

And, just to cover all bases, note that we are bringing in another 50,000 Congolese refugees over the next couple of years, here.

One more thing, last year in my MD county citizens fought and defeated plans for a “bike trail” that would have wound through 24 miles of peoples’ yards and farms.  Biking hobbyists said that  the people using bike trails are “good people” and we shouldn’t fear crime on those public paths.    Hmmmm!
