….but it is too late.
Here is a long story at Bloomberg Businessweek that you don’t have to read. It is an overly-long, detailed account of the travails of a Somali migrant (is he even telling the truth?) being trafficked in to Europe.
The invasion began in earnest when Obama and Hillary destabilized Libya opening the best migrant launchpad ever available on the coast of North Africa. (I have many posts here on Hillary and Libya).
In 2015, then Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott told the Europeans what they must do. They didn’t listen! He said to begin (safely) turning boats back to the African coast. It would only take a few returns to derail the network of traffickers making millions by moving Africans to Europe.
I can’t believe that we might see the end of Europe as a bulwark of western civilization even in my lifetime (and I am old!), my children will certainly see it!
In my opinion, only two paragraphs matter in this long Bloomberg piecethat followed the route of one Somali star of the story. Here they are:
At last, one night in the spring of 2015, some men moved him to a rubber boat on the beach. With a hundred other people, he moved out onto the darkened Mediterranean. “We were on the water for 16 hours,” he said. One migrant carried a satellite phone and called an Italian number when the boat started to leak. “Then we were rescued by the Italian Coast Guard,” said Ahmed.
The rescue ships on the Mediterranean—the U.S. Coast Guard, NGO vessels, Eunavfor frigates—try to give some comfort to the people they scoop from the sea. They offer thin, warm stew and a quick medical checkup before delivering them to an Italian port. Ahmed arrived in Sicily in about March 2015. He’s still there, at the CARA Mineo refugee camp, waiting for European asylum.
The traffickers know how to get the invaders ‘rescued.’
I didn’t know that the US Coast Guard was involved in the European invasion, but, if so, it’s time for Trump to pull them back.

As a refugee coordinator, I saw the exploitations, inconsistencies and security lapses in the program….
(25-year veteran of the US Department of State)
I know I said earlierthis morning that I wasn’t posting today so I could catch up on reading e-mails etc., but this just goes to show what important news is in those e-mails when I find the time to read them!
Letter: I have seen first-hand the abuse and fraud in the U.S. refugee program
I fully support President Donald Trump’s executive order that temporarily halts admissions from the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program and bans travel from nationals of countries that potentially pose a security risk to the United States; however, I don’t think the action goes far enough. Further, I believe there are many people throughout the country who feel the same way.
As a recently retired 25-year veteran of the U.S. Department of Statewho served almost eight years as a refugee coordinator throughout the Middle East, Africa, Russia and Cuba, I have seen first-hand the abuses and fraud that permeate the refugee program and know about the entrenched interests that fight every effort to implement much-needed reform.Despite claims of enhanced vetting, the reality is that it is virtually impossible to vet an individual who has no type of an official record, particularly in countries compromised by terrorism. U.S. immigration officials simply rely on the person’s often rehearsed and fabricated “testimony.” I have personally seen this on hundreds of occasions.
As a refugee coordinator, I saw the exploitations, inconsistencies and security lapses in the program, and I advocated strongly for change. Nonetheless, during the past decade and specifically under the Obama administration, the Refugee Admissions Program continued to expand blindly, seemingly without concern for security or whether it served the best interests of its own citizens. For instance, the legally questionable resettlement of refugees from Malta to the United States grew substantially, despite the fact that as a European country with a functioning asylum system, “refugees” should have remained there under the internationally accepted concept of “the country of first asylum.” Similarly, the “special” in-country refugee programs in Cuba and Russia continue, although they are laden with fraud and far too often simply admit economic migrants rather than actual refugees.
As an insider who understands its operations, politics and weaknesses, I believe the refugee program must change dramatically and the courts must allow the president to fully implement the order.

I know there are others of you out there with stories to tell, I’ve heard from some of you before.
See my e-mail address in the left hand column. For the sake of national security, please send me your stories (they can be anonymous if you fear for your jobs).
I’m sure many of you are saying, let ’em go! Boy Trudeau loves refugees he can have them!
But, this story at the Minneapolis Star Tribune is at once informative and fishy.
Note that although the numbers of Africans crossing in to Canada from the US grew the most during the Obama Administration, the reporter, Mila Koumpilova, wants to make it clear that he/she thinks that things will get even worse under Donald Trump’s administration.
Actually, maybe not, maybe if we promptly deport failed asylum seekers, they won’t be free to wander up to Canada!
More than 430 African migrants have arrived in Winnipeg since April, up from 70 three years ago. Most come by way of Minneapolis, sometimes after grueling treks across Latin America and stints in U.S. immigration detention. [Donald Trump has only been President for a month, so they can’t pin this on him!—ed]
The men pay hundreds of dollars for middle-of-the-night cab rides north to the Canadian border. They wade into the Red River to dodge border agents in summer and trudge through waist-deep snow in winter. On Christmas Eve, two wandered in the wind-swept flatness and lost their fingers to frostbite.
Minnesota has become a key stop for a soaring number of migrants from Somalia and other African countries who sneak into Canada to seek asylum.More than 430 arrived in Winnipeg since April, up from 70 three years ago. Most come by way of Minneapolis, sometimes after grueling treks across Latin America and stints in U.S. immigration detention.
The exodus is now coinciding with new steps by the Trump White House to restrict immigrant and refugee entry — policies expected to spur even more crossings. [Is this reporting or editorializing?—ed]
[….]
A tangle of factors is fueling the surge: brisker traffic along an immigrant smuggling route out of East Africa, stepped-up deportations under the Obama administration and the lure of Canada’s gentler welcome. Advocates expect the Trump administration’s harder line on immigration will spur even more illegal crossings into Canada, where some nonprofits serving asylum seekers are already overwhelmed. Now Canadians worry smugglers are making fresh profits from asylum seekers and migrants take more risks to make the crossing. [Remember readers everyone expected Hillary to win, so they can’t pin this on Trump as if these illegal aliens who went to Canada last summer and fall had advance notice that immigration hardliner Trump would win!—ed]
So why did numbers crossing to Canada swell under Obama? I have an idea.
Koumpilova continues….
The number of migrants crossing near Emerson has swelled steadily since the early 2010s, based on data from Canadian border authorities. Provinces from Quebec to British Columbia have seen major increases as well. Almost 60 percent of the Manitoba arrivals since the start of the Canadian fiscal year in April were Somali, with growing contingents from Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Ghana.
Why don’t lazy, biased reporters ever ask where all the money comes from for the poor phony ‘refugees’ to travel across the world?
Samatar [Somali star of the story—ed] says he fled southern Somalia in a hurry. In neighboring Ethiopia began a grueling, monthslong journey: a flight to Brazil and a trek north through nine countries. What the smugglers did not tell him and other migrants: When they presented themselves to U.S. immigration authorities to seek asylum, they would be detained.
“I was totally not expecting I would be in jail,” Samatar said. “I was shocked.”
After his asylum application was rejected, he was released to await deportation. Within weeks, he was bound for Canada by way of Minneapolis.
And there you have the answer as to why these treks to Canada increased. In addition to Boy Trudeau putting out the welcome mat, the Obama Administration was releasing FAILED asylum seekers. Heck maybe human rights friends of Obama even gave them some money and a map to Canada!
A dozen recent border crossers interviewed in Winnipeg echoed Samatar’s story. Many paid $10,000 or more to smugglers who flew them to South America and ferried them north by bus, car, raft and on foot — a smuggling route first forged to shuttle Somalis stuck in long refugee resettlement waits or with no access to that program. They report fleeing mandatory yearslong military service in Eritrea, discrimination against gays in Ghana and general poverty and unrest in the region. [What the hell! No access to refugee resettlement! We have taken well over 100,000 Somalis in the last two decades!—ed]
Then came time in U.S. immigration detention and the denial of their asylum claims. [These illegal aliens who came in through South America, Central America and Mexico could have asked for asylum in any safe country along the way. They are not legitimate asylum seekers and obviously the asylum judges agreed!—ed]
And, look at this! Formerly FAILED Somali asylum seekers were just allowed to blend into American towns and cities!
Meanwhile, the pace of deportations to Somalia has picked up. In previous years, the United States mostly sent back people who came legally as refugees but committed crimes before becoming citizens, says Minneapolis attorney Marc Prokosch. Those with rejected asylum applications and no criminal records were “left alone.” But last year, more of them started hearing from immigration authorities they would be sent back soon.

See our previous posts on the trek of illegal Africans to Canada through Minnesota and North Dakota, here top two posts.
The way to solve this problem (if Canada wants it solved) is to make sure that the US DEPORTS FAILED ASYLUM SEEKERS and does not release them from detention before they can be deported!
Someone reminded me that in all of the yakking about the power of the President when it comes to determining which refugees (how many and from where) entering the US, the US State Department in 2008 halted all family reunification (the so-called P-3 program) from Somalia and a few other African countries. Why?
Random DNA testing found widespread FRAUD. The so-called family members were lying about who was family! They were making up “ghost children.”
We first saw the news at the Wall Street Journal in 2008, here. Then we followed the drama as the refugee contractors (among others) tried to stop the State Department from requiring DNA tests for all family reunification.
Here is a post I wrote in 2015with several important links to follow to understand what happened leading up to the FOUR YEAR moratorium on Somalis being able to apply for their ‘family’ members to join them in your home towns!
For ambitious readers, click here for one of my earliest posts in 2008 with updates.
Be sure to read the fact sheet published by the DOS at the time (you will see it in its entirety here).
In recent years, applications to the P-3 program have been overwhelmingly African – primarily Somalis, Ethiopians and Liberians – accounting for some 95% of the P-3 applications.
Then this:
The rate of fraud discovered varies among nationalities and from country to country, and is difficult to establish definitively as many individuals refused to submit DNA samples. We were, however, only able to confirm all claimed biological relationships in fewer than 20% of cases (family units). The remainder contained at least one negative result (fraudulent relationship) or refused to be tested.
This is what I said based on the numbers:
95% of immigrants using this program are from Africa. 36,000 alone came in the years since 2003 and as high (or higher!) than 80% of those are most likely here illegally.
As far as we know none of the fraudulent entrants were identified and removed.
The President through his Department of State does have the power to selectively block certain ethnic groups from entering the US.
I followed the issue closely and I never saw the mainstream media question the Administration’s right to stop these groups of so-called ‘refugees.’
Since when did Obamacare become President-elect Donald Trump’s #1 priority? That is all I hear now from the media.
Tens of thousands of people did not stand for hours in all sorts of weather to hear Trump talk about Obamacare. They came primarily because he said he would build the wall and stop immigration from terror-exporting countries! We must secure our border with Mexico NOW! Look at this article from the Saudi Gazette, and see how Mexico is facilitating African illegal aliens’ passage to our border:
As Europe tightens its borders to stem the influx of refugees and migrants crossing the Mediterranean Sea to Europe, Hassan [the Somali star of this story.—ed] is part of a growing surge of people from African nations seeking new routes to flee poverty, war and persecution.
Hassan had paid a human smuggler $1,000 to guide him overland through Central America to reach Mexico in the hope of crossing into the United States.
[….]
The routes to Europe have become more difficult, said Claudette Walls, head of the field office for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Mexico’s city of Tapachula.
“What’s happening in the Mediterranean is that it’s becoming more and more hazardous and difficult to take that route,” Walls said.
“Through Latin America coming all the way up to Mexico and then on to the U.S. has become another route,” she told the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
Many migrants from Africa fly to Ecuador and Brazil where few visa restrictions allow an easy point of entry into the Americas.
[….]
Immigration officials first noticed African migrants arriving in Mexico in 2013, when around six trickled in a day, mainly through Tapachula along Mexico’s southern border with Guatemala.
Hundreds now turn up every day. Last year between 150 to 700 African migrants arrived per day at Tapachula – with a total of 19,000 migrants arriving from Africa and Haiti in 2016 – according to Mexican government figures.
Mexico gives the invader a 20-day pass in order to cross Mexico and reach the US border!
With few diplomatic ties with African nations, it is difficult for the Mexican authorities to deport illegal migrants from Africa home.
As a result, many African migrants are given a temporary transit permit, giving them 20 days to leave Mexico. In practice this allows them to continue their journey towards the United States border without being detained by immigration officials.
The article is written in such a way as to make us feel sympathy for the aliens just because their trip was so difficult. A difficult trip does not transform an illegal alien into a ‘refugee.’
But, who is paying these supposedly impoverished Africans to make the trip! Hassan spent $10,000 to get to our border!
Hassan reached Mexico in December, after a four month journey that included a flight from Somalia to Brazil, and then across seven countries on bus, boat and foot. He has spent $10,000 so far, hiding dollar bills in his underwear and socks.

We admit thousands of Somalis each year through the legal refugee process (which of course should be stopped). Why aren’t they in the legal flow to your towns? We can only assume there is something very undesirable about them!
Five years ago, in 2011, we urged Congress to investigatewho is paying for and helping Africans and others from places like the Middle East reach our US border where they then meet up with immigration lawyers and begin the asylum process.
Europe made a huge mistake by not stopping the invasion years ago, see here. Where are you Congress?
