Paul Ryan speakership campaign reveals traitors in our midst (South Carolina and Idaho pay attention)

Julia Hahn at Breitbart has been doing great work in exposing the players (traitors!) behind the House Speaker campaign of Rep. Paul Ryan.

The House “Freedom Caucus” (listed below) is not a group friendly to Americans looking to control immigration or to American workers.

By the way, for me, immigration is the only issue that matters.  We will live or die depending on how many immigrants we admit and from where they come.  Once they change the demographic make-up of America, no other issue you care about will matter.
For all of you fighting to slow refugee resettlement in South Carolina and Idaho, two members of Congress (dressed in Tea Party clothes***) in your states are working against you.

Mulvaney
Roy Beck of NumbersUSA says of Rep. Mick Mulvaney of SC that “open borders is in his ideological DNA.”  “Hispandering poodle,” says VDARE.

While I have written disdainfully of Rep. Trey Gowdy for dragging his feet (as Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security) on holding hearings on the Refugee Admissions Program, it turns out that fellow South Carolina Rep. Mick Mulvaney has been working overtime on amnesty for illegal aliens and no doubt is helping push refugees into the state (likely cheered on by SC Senator Lindsey Graham who recently made it clear that he wants Syrian Muslims admitted to the US in large numbers).
And, no wonder Republican Governor Nikki Halley is toeing the line and “welcoming” refugees to SC.  The state’s leading Republicans are working to promote MORE immigration to America.  She is obviously too weak to buck them (if she wanted to!).
Let me be clear, while many of you reading this blog have made a distinction between LEGAL immigration and ILLEGAL, that is—‘illegal is bad’ and ‘legal is o.k. sometimes’—the other side is making no such distinction.

This is about mass migration no matter how they get here for the no borders agitators, for Obama, for the Democrat party looking for more votes, and for the big donor interests of the Republican Party (give us cheap labor!).

In recent days, prominent conservatives and grassroots activists have slammed the House Freedom Caucus for what they described as a “betrayal” of the Republican electorate. As Rush Limbaugh said after Ryan issued his list of demands to House lawmakers:

You would not think that the Freedom Caucus, the conservatives in the House, the Tea Party caucus, whatever you want to call them, no way would they go along with this. No way under the sun would they go along with this. … But it looks like enough of them will. … This is how we get. … I don’t want to say “played,” folks, but I’m telling you: the script is written offsite, backstage. We don’t see that. We see everybody playing their part, including the Freedom Caucus members.

However, what conservative activists describe as a “betrayal” is, for several key members of the House Freedom Caucus, the fulfillment of their long-time desire to implement amnesty and alter the demographics of their districts through expanded immigration. While the GOP electorate ejected Eric Cantor in large measure due to his support for Marco Rubio’s amnesty drive—followed by Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) and current Whip Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA)—the PBS documentary reveals that one of the founding members of the House Freedom Caucus, Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-SC), embraces an even more progressive immigration agenda than Cantor himself.

The documentary, which aired on October 20, casts Mulvaney at the center of the La Raza-backed 2013 and 2014 immigration push, alongside Paul Ryan and Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL).

Mulvaney told CNN that he believes his colleagues should throw their support behind Ryan’s Speakership and declared, “The bottom line is if he wants to be Speaker, he has the votes as of tonight.” With those words, Mulvaney all but ensured that the Speakership would go to the man whom NumbersUSA President Roy Beck described as “terrifying” and “the heart and soul of crony capitalism”:

He has spent his entire adulthood ideologically connected to the open borders crowd. Open Borders is in his ideological DNA. That’s the terrifying thing. He’s an ideologue and his spent his whole life working for ideologues. Open borders seeps out of every pore of his being.

Idaho resistance pay attention!

Another pro-amnesty House Freedom Caucus Member, Rep. Raul Labrador (R-ID), echoed Mulvaney’s declaration that the Speakership was now a lock for Ryan: “We can support him and we want him to be successful,” Labrador said. Labrador was a member of the House’s Gang of Eight effort to pass amnesty until public pressure forced him to drop out of the group. As Breitbart News has previously reported, immigration experts have described Labrador as equally enthusiastic about expanding immigration as is Kevin McCarthy or Eric Cantor.

We should have all been paying attention to Patrick Cleburne writing at VDARE in 2014:  ‘Treason Lobby Flaunts Control Of South Carolina GOP Via Hispandering Poodle Rep Mulvaney (SC-5)’ (hat tip: Richard at Blue Ridge Forum). By the way, Mulvaney’s district is right next door to Spartanburg and Trey Gowdy’s district.
Conservative South Carolina voters need to go to the ballet box and spare the nation those ‘Republicans’ you are sending to Congress (likely with the blessing of Senator Lindsey Graham).
***Here are the other members of the so-called “Freedom Caucus.”  Most, as we learn from Hahn, are Libertarians and not true conservatives or Tea Partiers for that matter.   Libertarians have long been advocates for more immigration to America.

My recommendation is, if you see your member on this list—tell them to get the h*** out of this caucus!  List from wikipedia, here.

Pickens County, SC sends message: No refugees for us (thank you very much)

The article at Greenville Online entitled:  ‘Refugee issue stirs strong emotions, despite no influx expected’ gives me an idea.

Pickens County is along the North Carolina border. Refugees are already in nearby Greenville and Spartanburg Counties.

Begin community organizing in advance!

Send a message now!  Don’t wait until refugees are on the way!
The UN/US State Department (and the federal resettlement contractors) are out constantly scouting for fresh territory in which to “seed” refugees (especially since the numbers will swell this year with the Syrian migration), so how about sending a message preemptively that your town is not open for colonization, just as these resisters in Pickens County, SC have done. 
If you go to this list of resettlement offices in 48 states, know that if your town is within 100 miles of any of them, you are fair game to be forced to resettle refugees.

If Governor Nikki Haley wanted to she could send a clear message to the federal government just as Governor Deal has done in Georgia. The feds aren’t going to listen, but if enough REPUBLICAN governors spoke up, a Tenth Amendment states’ rights challenge could be mounted.

One of the forum speakers, Tara Servatius from WORD Radio, warned the crowd of about 40 that the refugee program is part of a conspiracy orchestrated by insiders in Washington that’s designed to create a one-party political system and enlarge a populace dependent on big government.

Critics of the alarmist sentiment, however, say the meeting only serves to show how unfounded some of the fears are regarding a mass influx of immigrants that simply aren’t expected to come to Pickens County. The differing opinions on extreme opposite ends of the spectrum reveal an emotional tug-of-war that exists in the Upstate.

Diane Hardy, who heads a “pocket of resistance” with a Facebook page called Secure South Carolina, tells the group that the refugees will suck up benefits paid for by South Carolina taxpayers and strain already overtaxed social services, law enforcement, schools and health care systems.

The speakers at the meeting placed the blame on Gov. Nikki Haley, who they said signed off on the federal government’s request to allow refugees here.

No city in Pickens County is listed as a destination for any refugees.

Haley’s unwillingness to face down the UN/US State Department puts her in the RINO/Chamber of Commerce camp which has bought in to the notion that big industry (the donor class!) needs cheap immigrant labor.

Update October 1:  Michael Cutler tells us more about the SC meeting where the NYT reporter failed to mention what the meeting was about and that Cutler had come to speak. Hat tip: Paula
She says that perhaps the NYT reporter I was so critical of, here, might have inadvertently caused readers to do a little homework and find out more about the Islamic doctrine of immigration—the Hijra.

Cutler (an expert on immigration and national security) was a featured speaker at the public meeting in Duncan, South Carolina (a town close to Spartanburg). His name does not appear in the NYT story. Why? Cutler bio here: http://cis.org/Cutler

Walker suggests, as we did, that the reporter was likely attempting to make the citizens of South Carolina look like paranoid hicks, but then says this (here at VDARE):

… the paper did include a surprising fragment of truth in the second paragraph — a mention of hijrah by a local citizen in a South Carolina audience.

Have you noticed this too?  The word Hijra is creeping into coverage of Muslim migration.

By the way, a discerning NYT reader might have noticed that NYT reporter Fausset left out of his narrative any reason for the meeting in South Carolina in the first place.
Citizens had gathered to hear a former federal agent, an expert on terrorism and immigration, (among other speakers) who had traveled to SC to speak.  It wasn’t just a gab-fest for crazy people as the reporter makes it sound—they were there to hear from experts like Cutler!
Why didn’t Fausset report anything Cutler said?

What else can you expect from the New York Times?  Just one more reminder of how the Left dominates the big papers in America.

But, it is o.k. even biased reports like this one help to get the words ‘refugee resettlement’ out to a public that did not know that this has been going on for 35 years. Every mention in the media helps the public understand how they have been kept in the dark!
Here is reporter Fausset’s opening spin in which he mentions the John Birch Society (so readers will know right away what they are to think of the meeting of concerned South Carolinians and this story):

DUNCAN, S.C. — The worried citizens gathered in the high school cafeteria, about 200 strong. Patriotic songs played on the stereo, a man in a blue blazer from the John Birch Society hovered by a well-stocked literature table, and Lauren L. Martel, a lawyer from Hilton Head, told the crowd that 25 Syrian refugees were already living among them.

There is lots more, you can read it yourself.
I did get a chuckle out of Melanie Nezer (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society) saying they were spreading refugees to small towns to avoid the high cost of living in immigrant gateway cities.  Apparently reporter Fausset doesn’t have a clue that the strategy of seeding small town America with diversity has come to full flower with Obama’s Task Force on New Americans that Nezer and other resettlement contractors have happily helped develop with the backing of wealthy foundations and federal funding.

But even before the Syrian crisis dominated headlines worldwide, resettlement agencies had noted a rise in anti-refugee sentiment in parts of the United States, said Melanie Nezer, vice president of policy and advocacy at HIAS, a Jewish nonprofit that works with refugees. In the last two decades, they have increasingly placed people in smaller communities to try to avoid the high cost of living in traditional immigrant magnets like New York and Los Angeles. At the same time, unemployment and tight budgets have prompted some local governments to fight the placement of refugees.

“[HIAS] works with refugees.” Come on Fausset, at least tell your readers that HIAS is paid by the head by the US State Department to resettle refugees in small town America!
We will be looking for a report from the New York Times reporter who traveled to Twin Falls, Idaho earlier this week, let’s see if he can do a better job!  I noticed when watching the video of the Twin Falls meeting that the Spartanburg pushback was mentioned from the podium!  (BTW, everyone should watch the video.  It is several hours long and I’m still going through it, but for those working in your communities, it is very useful).
So, for all of you in ‘Pockets of Resistance‘ do not get discouraged!  You are not going to get a fair shake in the dying print media! Just remember every bit of news that gets out there about this program is a good thing so that more people are made aware of it.
The Obama plan to resettle mostly Muslim Syrians to smaller towns and cities like Spartanburg, SC may in fact be a blessing as more people are waking up to the Left’s plan to change America by changing the people!
And, take heart in knowing that the NYT has thrown two (at least two) reporters at the story in one week!

Senator Lindsey Graham: we need to bring in our "fair share" of Syrian Muslims

If you are looking for answers about how South Carolina has become a target for refugee resettlement where the Governor (Nikki Haley) and even Rep. Trey Gowdy*** are obviously reluctant to stand up and question the choice of the state as fresh territory for third world resettlement (colonization!), look no further than the senior senator of the Palmetto State.

Do Haley and Gowdy jump when Lindsey says jump?

Editor’s note: There will be hundreds of articles in the coming days about the Syrian refugee numbers to be admitted to the US (Obama said 10,000 yesterday, but I suspect that is a trial balloon).  We will post the ones that are the most informative we find.  Like this one!

Pals! Leftist Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and SC Senator Lindsey Graham. Will they team up to free emergency funds to bring Syrian Muslims to your towns and cities? Graham was one of 4 Republicans promoting amnesty as part of the infamous ‘Gang of Eight’ Senators in 2013. His position on more immigration has been very clear.

Somehow South Carolina had dodged a bullet over the years as surrounding states of North Carolina, Kentucky and Georgia have been flooded with refugees.
All that is changing (see our archive on the controversy in Spartanburg) and it sure looks like the driver behind that change is none other than SC senior Senator Lindsey Graham.  See his asinine and ill-informed comment about the Statue of Liberty and how America has to take it’s “fair share” of Syrian, mostly Muslim, refugees.   What the hell!  We had nothing to do with the Syrian civil war, why should any be our “fair share.”
(Now, if Graham is talking about Syrian Christians, he better get the backbone to use the word —  Christian!)
The US has long been the leading nation permanently resettling refugees from every continent on the globe—over 100,000 Iraqi Muslims from the Middle East in the last 8 years—-isn’t that enough for the Senator?
From The Fiscal Times in an article entitled, ‘Can the U.S. Handle 100,000 Syrian Refugees?’ (emphasis below is mine):

While much of Washington is occupied with the Iran nuclear deal, another debate is looming about whether the U.S. should open its doors to more refugees from the Syrian civil war.

Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina raised the possibility on Tuesday that Congress might approve emergency funding to greatly increase the U.S. quota for Syrian refugees in the face of an historic migrant crisis in Europe and the Middle East.

During an appearance before the National Press Club, Graham became the first GOP presidential candidate to urge the Obama administration to accept its “fair share” of Syrian refugees, amid international criticism that the U.S. is grossly shirking its responsibility to the international community. In a fit of melodrama, Graham said that “we should take the Statue of Liberty and tear it down” if the U.S. preserves its current, highly restrictive immigration policies with regards to victims of Syrian violence.

Graham is chair of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations, which means he has some say over the budget for the State Department and other international agencies. He said he would be in favor of “emergency spending” to cover the cost of bringing substantially more Syrian immigrants to the U.S., which would add to the federal deficit. He said he would confer with Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont, the ranking Democrat on his subcommittee, to sound him out on a possible bipartisan proposal.

“I don’t just want to pick a number,” Graham said, according to Roll Call. “I don’t know how many we should take, I don’t know how much money we should spend, but I know we should take our fair share and we need to spend more to get ahead of this.”

The U.S. currently allows the immigration of no more than 1,500 Syrians a year [inaccurate information—ed] – a miniscule number in the face of the millions of refugees streaming out of Syria, headed for Germany and other European countries. The United States Committee for Refugee and Immigrants has urged the administration to accept 100,000 Syrians in the coming year. [Dumb reporters quoting, as some sort of authoritative voice, a non-profit resettlement contractor which is being paid by the head to resettle refugees!–ed]

*** Rep. Trey Gowdy is chairman of the House subcommittee responsible for refugees and we will be watching closely to see if he calls for hearings when Obama sends his “Determination Letter” to Congress for consultation sometime in the next week or two.  Fiscal year 2016 begins on October 1, so by law Obama must send it!  The big question is, what can Congress do about it?  The key committees in the House and Senate could at minimum hold hearings.  And, please don’t tell me that Gowdy has too much going on with Benghazi to spend a little time on this infinitely more important issue—how many Syrian Muslims will we drop off in your towns!
