Breaking news! Spartanburg, SC Christians have run out of "vulnerable" Americans in need of help!

I’m sorry, I shouldn’t be so cynical, but honestly why are foreign-born poor people needier and more deserving than America born disabled, impoverished and struggling in the eyes of these ‘good Christians’? Is it somehow more charitable to care for immigrants than their own neighbors? Are ‘refugees’ somehow cooler than our own poor people (of all colors!)?
Let me be clear—-if they were using their own charitable dollars they can do whatever they want, within the law of course. But, this is your money and mine and so it becomes our business how they spend it.

Lee spoke to the Spartanburg Interfaith Alliance this week. Beware ‘interfaith alliances’ as they are behind establishing and promoting new sites almost everywhere they get involved.

Here is the latest from Spartanburg, a year-old resettlement site that brought national attention to Rep. Trey Gowdy’s Congressional district. Even as Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Immigration he was unable or unwilling to stop the flow of refugees to Spartanburg (he probably didn’t want to rock the boat with Speaker Ryan!)
Besides my perennial question about why we can’t help our own citizens (and vets!) first, I want to point out that a year ago Jason Lee said they would only bring a few refugees to Spartanburg, but now he says 120 will be arriving in the upcoming year. Will it be 200 the year after that?
You see, readers, that is how it works.  They get a foot in the door and then keep wedging it open wider and wider!

The director of a local aid agency that assists refugees is urging the faith community to become involved in resettlement efforts in Spartanburg.

World Relief Local Director Jason Lee spoke about the process of bringing refugees to the area at a Spartanburg Interfaith Alliance meeting Tuesday morning at Temple B’nai Israel.

He said last year World Relief helped resettle 49 refugees fleeing persecution. This year the organization has been approved to resettle 120 refugees in Spartanburg, he said.

World Relief has 27 U.S. offices and is one of nine refugee resettlement organizations that partner with the U.S. State Department.

“We’re compelled by our faith. … We’re called to stand for the vulnerable,” Lee said.

As long as they are foreign born vulnerable!

Continue reading because it appears that they don’t have enough volunteers to handle 120 new refugees.
By the way, the refugee contractors, like this subcontractor of World Relief, need to have enough volunteers logging their hours to show that they have ‘skin in the game’ so to speak.  The feds expect the subcontractor to offer up something in their phony public-private partnership. Originally the subcontractor was supposed to be putting up cash, but as long as they have volunteers whose hours are measured in cash then they get the green light from the feds for the number of refugees they want.  Each refugee comes with a per head payment to the contractor.  Of course the payment is federal grant money (your money!) and thus there is never any incentive to slow the flow or reduce the number as they build their little fiefdoms.

From Syrian refugee camp to dumpster-diving in Memphis, TN

To get Obama’s promise of 10,000 Syrians on US soil by September 30th fulfilled, resettlement contractors like World Relief (and eight others) must resettle about 358 a week for the remaining weeks of this fiscal year.
Is this story from Memphis indicative of what is happening in your town as more and more refugees are dropped off?

“Welcoming” Memphis! Syrian refugees dumpster-dive to support families. Where are all the charitable and good Evangelical Christians at World Relief? When the RAP was created, these federal contractors were supposed to match the federal dollars with private charitable giving. The private share is almost non-existent now.

The Refugee Admissions Program (RAP) of the UN/US State Department already costs American taxpayers over $4 billion and this is what you get for your money!
Where is all the money going? I expect to offices and staff at the nine federal contractors!

After a lengthy lead-in about the troubles the Alkani family had in leaving Syria, check this out!

Today, Alkhani’s strife is drastically different. He is not surrounded by warfare, but struggles every day to make his family’s next dollar with no English language skills and a sixth grade education.

His worries about money started immediately. He owed the U.S. Department for their flight fares – a total of $6,000.***

Refugee families receive a one-time welcome payment of $925 per person from the U.S State Department, or $4,625 total for this family, that was channeled to them through World Relief Memphis. [Most people, especially the refugees, don’t know that World Relief, as the middleman, gets a cut of the money —-ed]

World Relief Memphis was the Alkhani’s first American contact and provided the family with the basics to get them started in Memphis. The money for basics like couches, kitchenware, and beds was deducted from their welcome money. [And, World Relief couldn’t get those items donated and save the cash?—ed]

“The World Relief Organization took care of the migration process,” Alkhani said. “We were supposed to get $4,500 in welcome money. We only received $900 of it.”

World Relief Memphis also provides English lessons for refugee families. But Alkhani, like other refugees, said he did not learn much. Alkhani gave up after three months because the teacher only spoke English, and he could not understand anything.  [Your tax dollars paid for those English lessons!—ed]

Rami Alhomsi is another Syrian refugee who gave up on the English classes that World Relief Memphis provided.

“None of us benefited from these lessons. We all quit school after sixth grade,” Alhomsi said in Arabic to an interpreter. “We don’t know any English.”

Because of the language barrier, Alkhani has trouble finding a permanent job. He works for people in the Arab community whenever someone needs an extra hand. He also collects items thrown out in dumpsters and on sidewalks and sells them in a flea market on Summer Avenue.

By the way, World Relief has been advocating that 100,000 Syrians be admitted to the US. For what? So they can compete with poor Americans in dumpster diving?
*** One thing most of you don’t know is that when World Relief collects the airfare loan money they get to keep a portion of it for themselves for running the collection service.  All of your money does not return to the US Treasury.

Poll: Large number of Protestant pastors fear refugee resettlement plans

Two major federal contractors, World Relief and World Vision, paid for a poll in January and were probably not thrilled to learn that 44% of pastors surveyed have “a sense of fear about global refugees coming to the United States.”
World Relief*** and World Vision are both quasi-government agencies.  World Relief received just short of $300 million from government grants and sub-grants since 2008, while World Vision gobbled up nearly $900 million in the same time period.  Go to USASpending.gov for the compilations.

Tell your pastors that World Relief is NOT saving Christians of the Middle East, but is bringing Syrian Sunni Muslims to your towns and are paid by you, the taxpayer, to do that!

They probably paid for this poll on your dime so they would have a feel for how much more propaganda they need to get out to your local churches!  Maddening isn’t it!

A new survey indicated that many Christian churches in the United States are more than willing to lend a helping hand on refugees but at the same time are afraid to risk engaging them.

The telephone survey of about 1, 000 Protestant pastors conducted by LifeWay Research showed that 44 percent of church congregations have “a sense of fear about global refugees coming to the United States.”

By contrast, only 27 percent of the church congregations have gotten themselves involved in helping the refugees.

Although 98 percent of the pastors said they are “at least somewhat informed about the Syrian refugee crisis,” just 35 percent have addressed the issue from the pulpit.

The survey showed that the respondents mostly agree that “Christians have a responsibility to care sacrificially for the refugees and foreigners” with more than eight in 10 (86 percent) agreeing on the matter, according to the report.

Help overseas is the sensible and truly charitable answer for those who want to help Syrian refugees!

But the survey showed some disconnect in agreeing that churches need to do more. One in five pastors in the U.S. said their church is helping refugees overseas and one in three have addressed the Syrian refugee crisis from the pulpit.

Only 8 percent of the pastors consider it a privilege to care for refugees.

So, to our Protestant readers, it looks like you are having some impact in your local churches already as many pastors are skeptical.
People ask me all the time:  what can I do?  You can head off the propaganda campaign coming your way from these phony “humanitarian” organizations!  They will be taking this poll information and crafting a PR push on your ministers/pastors.  Make sure your pastors understand who World Relief is planning to bring to your town!

Tennessee: Refugee agency places immigrants in jobs Americans would love to have!

And, adding insult to injury, the biggest chunk of their funding comes from you—the taxpayer!
Update!  National layoff numbers skyrocket! Breaking story.
This story from The Tennessean is meant to give the impression that this program of World Relief (National Association of Evangelicals) is doing wonderful humanitarian work by helping immigrants and refugees with advanced degrees find good paying jobs.
But, if you are like me, you reacted to this story by immediately asking these questions:

What about Americans who have advanced degrees and no work?  What about all of our children, recent college graduates (with big student loan debt), who can’t find jobs? Shouldn’t they come first?

Not according to World Relief’s REACH program or The Tennessean.
As is too often the case, one must read through refugee sob stories and eventually the reader learns that there are 10,000 immigrants in Tennessee who need high level jobs—-ahhhhhh!  10,000!  I wonder how many Americans with advanced degrees are competing with them for limited job opportunities?  Of course The Tennessean would never give us that number!
And, the American job seekers don’t have the services your tax dollars provide the immigrants through REACH. Here is what World Relief (a so-called Christian charity) does for the immigrants according to The Tennessean.

REACH, in Nashville, connects immigrants to mentors, who seek to introduce them to local individuals in their field, and coaches them through licensing processes. The organization also offers training on resumes and interviews. Between licenses and networking, it typically takes between nine and 12 months for an individual to move from a survival job to a professional one.

REACH, launched in 2011, has been able to help as many as 100 people a year. Among them are Coptic Christians fleeing Egypt, Kurds from Iraq and those coming from Congo after fleeing ethnic persecution in Rwanda.

Here is what a reader said this morning about this story:

I have a very close friend, also an Ivy League masters graduate who is struggling to find a job in the Middle Tennessee job market. In fact, I have several friends, middle-age, well educated, intelligent, hard-working contributors to their communities who live in Middle Tennessee, and who are either unemployed or underemployed.

But the newspaper and the Chamber of Commerce isn’t taking up their cause.

Neil MacDonald of the Chamber of Commerce told The Tennessean: “If we want to continue to compete on an international basis, it’s essential we continue our growth in diversity.” (Huh?)

Nor do my friends have federal contractor agencies helping them find jobs.

And my friends aren’t wired-in either. They too are struggling.

At least the refugees and their federal contractors can blame the receiving community for not being more “welcoming” and ensuring that new arrivals get the jobs they thought would be waiting for them when they arrived.

According to this article, there are 10,000 refugees in Tennessee who can’t find the jobs they want. Predictably, federal refugee resettlement contractor World Relief and the refugees themselves blame the receiving community as “unwelcoming” because circumstances haven’t unfolded as they had planned.

But, this, of course, doesn’t stop World Relief from keeping their own cash flow going by bringing ever more refugees to the area.

And the Nashville Chamber of Commerce is telling us that businesses here value “diversity” over workers that are raised, educated and have roots in our Tennessee communities.

Speaking of World Relief’s financial position, World Relief Nashville directs people to its national headquarters where we can examine recent financial documents and their Form 990s.
Here we learn that in 2014, World Relief (National Association of Evangelicals) is a $61 million a year operation and that $41 million comes directly from US taxpayers.
They could not supply all of these benefits to job-seeking immigrants if you (or the good-for-nothing Congress!) weren’t willing to pay for it.

World Relief out in front!

You already know this is happening because you’ve probably seen the media campaign where you live.  Pro-Syrian Muslim groups and the federal resettlement contractors*** are putting in motion a campaign like no other especially since they have learned that the majority of Americans don’t want the US State Department to bring in 10,000 Syrian, mostly Muslim, refugees and scatter them throughout the country.
LOL! They think if they utter the word “robust” in regards to the vetting process, the public will say—well, then by all means let them in!  WTH is “robust?”

Here is just one article about the media blitz by pro-Syrian groups and the No Borders movement, this one from Voice of America:

In three U.S. opinion polls published by Bloomberg, NBC News and the Washington Post/ABC News this month, 53 to 56 percent of respondents said no more Syrian refugees should enter. One reason cited by many respondents is a concern that Islamic State terrorists could slip through the U.S. refugee vetting process.

World Relief (National Association of Evangelicals) is one of the nine federally-funded resettlement contractors out in force in defense of their role in bringing in mostly Muslim Syrian refugees (98% so far are Sunni Muslims).
And, remember! The UN High Commissioner for Refugees told a Georgetown audience (here, we were there) that the Syrian Christians are not persecuted because the “regime” (Assad) is protecting them, therefore it is the Sunni Muslims that the UNHCR is focusing on and sending to your towns.
Here is World Relief’s Washington advocate (aka lobbyist) Jenny Yang:
Yang never tells the listening audience that World Relief is PAID BY THE HEAD by the US taxpayer for their work in ‘welcoming communities’ and that they work closely with businesses to supply them with cheap immigrant labor.

World Relief’s vice president of advocacy and policy, Jenny Yang, also appeared on Hashtag VOA, and said her organization works with businesses and religious groups around the country to provide Syrian refugees with jobs and welcoming communities.

World Relief is also reimbursed by the taxpayer through a match program for supplying the volunteers in churches who pick up the refugees at the airport!

“We equip churches to respond tangibly,” Yang said. “We work with them in picking up a refugee family at the airport, or providing them with a meal, or even inviting a family [to join them] for the holidays.”

Then here she is implying that they are saving the Christians, WORLD RELIEF IS NOT SAVING THE CHRISTIANS!  The UNHCR is picking Sunni Muslims for resettlement to America and as a federal contractor, World Relief must resettle the Muslims or lose their federal funding (it is about the money!).  Imagine having to dodge and weave like this!  I repeat, they are not helping Christians!

Yang said World Relief believes there is a need to help religious minorities in the Middle East, including Christians. “But helping Christians doesn’t have to come at the expense of other refugees like Muslims who also are persecuted,” she said. “As Christian evangelicals, we believe that we can live out the calling of Jesus in welcoming the foreign-born and others into our communities.”

One of their favorite talking points is this one about how Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan are doing more than their fair share.  But, please remember that the Syrians who have gone to those countries will be sent back to Syria the minute the fighting is over and will never become voting citizens of those countries.  Those coming here will live permanently in the US, bring their family members and become voting citizens of America.  And, it will never end.  More than two decades after the Somali civil war the US (World Relief and others) are still resettling Somalis in small town America by the thousands!

Yang said the number of Syrian refugees that the Obama administration wants to welcome in fiscal year 2016 — 10,000 — is a “drop in the bucket” compared to the millions of Syrian refugees absorbed by Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq.
