Refugees should not be a "public charge" says reader

Editor:  This is another good guest commentary (two others in the last week may be found by clicking here).  We welcome guest writers because a) the issue is too large for me to cover it all, and b) some great writers and investigators are developing across the country and they need to be heard!  Emphasis below is mine.

REFUGEES AND THE “PUBLIC CHARGE”

by Bob Enos (Willmar, MN)

The tradition of immigration in America historically contains a concept known as the “public charge”. As the purpose of immigration in America was purely to build the American nation, all new entrants have been expected to “sing for their supper”. That is, we were expected to take advantage of the opportunities America provides to build a better life, while not becoming a burden to our fellow Americans.

Today, the public charge concept continues to be an element of federal immigration law, but it has been watered down. It also provides exceptions to certain classes of immigrants.

First, there are myriad forms of taxpayer-funded assistance that our federal legislators have decreed are not really burdensome to taxpayers after all. They include: Section 8 housing; health insurance; food stamps; child care; public schools; and institutionalization.

These non-cash public assistance programs can and often do exceed the low wages that unskilled workers earn, even full-time workers.

Second, under Section 213A of the federal Immigration and Naturalization Act, both refugees and asylum seekers are actually excused and exempted from any federal requirement to be self-supporting! This means that, unlike other immigrant classes who are required to earn a livelihood in order to avoid possible deportation, the refugee has no such worry.

In short, if a refugee is deported, it will NEVER be due to the financial burden s/he places upon the rest of us!

As pressure builds for comprehensive immigration reform, legislators in Washington MUST address (a) eliminating the exclusion and exemption of refugees and asylum seekers from the public charge test, and (b) the expanding the definition of public charge burdens to include not only cash welfare payment, but non-cash assistance as well.

The Khan story reminds me of the food stamp fraud stories that so intrigued me

….more investigative work is needed!  And, you can do it!

In the wake of the media fire storm over Donald Trump’s remarks relating to the Khan family, research, like this by Dennis Michael Lynch showed that Khizr Khan has a financial vested interest in helping immigrants get to the US through the little-known Investor Visa programs at the US State Department.
Here is Lynch:

The father of a Muslim-American soldier killed in Iraq, who spoke at the Democrat National Convention, is an immigration lawyer who specializes in a visa program that allows immigrants to effectively buy U.S. citizenship with an E-2 or EB-5 visa.

Khan at DNC
Immigration lawyer Khizr Khan at the DNC convention. If Trump is elected one of the first programs to be investigated is the US DOS Investor Visa programs.

Khizr Kahn has been blasting Donald Trump for wanting to wanting to halt immigration from Muslim nations that have links to terror. Even House Speaker Paul Ryan has jumped on the band wagon, claiming it is wrong to apply a “religious test” for immigrants.

In reality, Trump’s policy on immigration has the potential to impact Kahn financially. Khan’s website states that he helps clients with the E-2 and EB-5 programs, which allow foreign investors to buy into U.S. companies. The programs also provide green cards for family members. The website also states that he assists with purchase of U.S. real estate and businesses.

Continue reading here.   And, as you know Khan’s website has been taken down!  See also Breitbart on the news that the website has been removed.
It is through the Investor Visa program that so many US convenience stores and mom & pop gas stations are being bought up by immigrants.  Go to any seedy neighborhood (like the ones I saw in Toledo recently) and there is an immigrant-run convenience store it seems on every block.  There is no way they are all making a living selling bread, milk and cigarettes.
My guess is that many are participating in what is known as trafficking in food stamps.
For years I followed this fraud issue—-trafficking in food stamps—-and finally had to give it up because so much is happening with the refugee program.
Here is one post I wrote in the spring of 2010 explaining how immigration lawyers, like Khan, not only help the ‘investors’ get in to the US, but very often find them the stores to purchase.  (For the E-2 program only a small investment is necessary to buy in to America.)
Now, I am not saying every store owned by an immigrant is running a food stamp scam, but many are!   And, you will see how many if you type ‘food stamp fraud’ in to RRW’s search window.   You will even find some stories about how US food stamp dollars are sent to Muslim countries as well!
(Let me be clear! I am not saying Khizr Khan knows anything about food stamp trafficking or sending US food stamp dollars out of the country!)

I am, however, now renewing my appeal to any wannabe investigator (amateur or otherwise) to dig into this issue and this issue alone—Investor Visas and Food stamp fraud!—it is huge!

Find the link between the program and stores busted for food stamp fraud!

UN: no joint agreement reached on apportioning resettlement numbers by country

…But, those pushing the no-borders agenda are still hopeful that the special Obama-led Pow-Wow in New York in September will result in commitments for numbers of migrants individual countries will pledge to permanently admit.
I’m emphasizing the word ‘permanently’ because I still run into people who think we admit refugees on a temporary basis and that we send them home when the turmoil in their home country is over.  That is not so—refugees, asylees and even those here on Temporary Protected Status rarely go home (except to visit! which begs the question about their supposed persecution at home!).

Obama and UN seal
Get ready for massive PR campaign around UN in September when Obama hosts refugee resettlement pow-wow. A time for people with our concerns to counter their propaganda?

Here is the latest on efforts to try to get commitments out of countries either roiled by the migration invasion or deep in election-year politics.
We aren’t agreeing to anything say world leaders!

From The Guardian:

World leaders are set to reject a concrete target for the number of refugees that should be resettled within developed countries, dashing hopes of a solution to the world’s unprecedented displacement crisis.

Before a landmark conference in September, negotiators from every UN member country have failed to agree on a promise to share responsibility for 10% of the world’s refugee population, and postponed the completion of a new global refugee deal for another two years.

With the number of refugees and displaced people around the world at an all-time high, campaigners had hoped that an international conference on refugees and migrants in New York would enable world leaders to agree a new mechanism for sharing refugees.

O-man to the rescue.  I sure hope the Trump campaign is paying attention and getting ready for the propaganda onslaught the Obama UN event will be generating.

But others still see September’s UN summit as a missed opportunity, with a decision on changes to the global refugee regime postponed to 2018. Attention now turns to another refugee-themed summit in New York scheduled for the same week in September, when leaders invited by Barack Obama will be invited to make individual resettlement pledges – as opposed to making collective ones.

There is also a mention in this article about how the International Organization for Migration (a huge NGO that prepares refugees for their trip to America, among other things) is now going to be moved in to the United Nations.  I don’t know what that means other than to assume it means even more control of the US refugee program from within the United Nations.

Be ready!

Note to concerned citizens: the UN General Assembly convenes on September 13th.  I could not quickly find the date for Obama’s special refugee confab, but assume it will be in the first part of September.

This would be a good time to generate media campaigns in your states to counter what surely will be a mainstream media effort to support Obama and Hillary’s lust for more third worlders to be resettled in small town America!

Notably, also in September, Obama is required to send his final determination letter to Congress with the number of refugees he proposes for FY2017 (yes, he has one more opportunity to open the flood gates).
