Black violence heating up in South Africa (again); immigrants, whites and other black Africans targeted

Diversity is strength alert!  News you do not hear in the American mainstream media because they are so deeply invested in the Nelson Mandela Rainbow Nation myth!

In 2008 we had a lot of stories out of the Rainbow Nation that labeled ethnic nationalist violence—xenophobia.  Basically black South Africans are trying to protect their turf from other Africans and other immigrants—right now the targets of their rage (unemployment is as much as 50% in some parts of the “model” nation) are Somalis, Pakistanis and Zimbabweans.

Fears are rising that South Africa could face a new wave of xenophobic violence as mock eviction notices are issued to foreign traders in townships around Johannesburg, the scenes of bloody violence in May 2008.

In one settlement, Pakistani and Somali shopkeepers have closed and are staying indoors. Last week, more than 50 Somali-owned shops in Port Elizabeth were burned and looted.

On Friday, human rights groups marched through the centre of Johannesburg to protest against attacks on foreigners, mostly Somalis and Zimbabweans.

Estimates of legal and illegal immigrants range from three million to seven million. In townships like Diepsloot, where 150,000 people live, unemployment is around 50 per cent and there are no police stations.

Last week the United Nations human rights council discussed recommendations from UN special rapporteur Jorge Bustamante that South Africa draw up new anti-hate crime legislation.

Here is a discussion from Human Rights First about the pressure on the South African government to curb the “xenophobia.”   Not anywhere in any of this reporting is there mention of the violence and persecution of White South Africans who represent a tiny portion (9.3% in 2010) of the population.   Will Human Rights First make sure they are included in the protection from any hate crime legislation or help them become refugees escaping racist persecution so they can move to the West?

Two stabbed outside library by Koran-carrying woman!

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) — Two people were stabbed in a seemingly random attack at a Twin Cities library.

After the incident Wednesday night at the Oxboro Library in Bloomington, 35-year-old Samira Abdalla Salim was arrested.

Salim was no stranger to the Oxboro Library. She had a reputation for handing out the Koran and talking religion outside the building.

“They had some issues with her harassing other patrons,” said Bloomington Police Commander Mark Stehlik.

But it’s what investigators say she did on Wednesday night that surprised everyone.

“I never thought she would do that. She was very nice,” said Anisa Ahmed, Salim’s neighbor.

Salim is accused of stabbing two people. The first victim was a woman who was walking into the library.

“The next thing she knew, she felt a sharp pain in the middle of her back and realized she had been stabbed,” said Stehlik.

The second was a security guard who heard the victim’s cry for help. He went to talk to Salim in the parking lot.

This story reminds me that former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty  served as governor while thousands of Somalis were resettled in his state, in fact during some of the highest years for Somali resettlement.  NumberUSA gives him a great score on the issue of immigration but I am wondering if anyone has any information about whether he or his administration ever questioned the huge numbers of Somalis being placed in Minnesota by federal contractors.

And you will get virgins and  the US government will bring your body parts back to the US for a proper burial near your family! Wow!

I was away most of the day yesterday as everyone was gasping over this latest former refugee who allegedly blew himself to bits in Africa for Allah.   Frankly, I’m sick of this story and these ungrateful refugees who have no interest in assimilating.  All I could think of was the waste of taxpayer money—your hard-earned dollars that were used for raising this kid in Minneapolis:  his education, his healthcare, his food stamps and the damn open borders activists who are busy every day hauling people like him into the US (and, adding insult to injury, we pay them for their work!).

Oh, and don’t forget the expense of all the terror investigators and prosecutions on-going.

But, it’s my duty to post this, even if you’ve seen it elsewhere.   From AP:

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Federal authorities said they are trying to confirm the identity of a suicide bomber who carried out a deadly attack in Somalia after a militant group claimed Thursday that the man was a Somali-American from Minnesota.

The group al-Shabab said 25-year-old Abdullahi Ahmed of Minneapolis bombed the African Union base in Mogadishu on Monday, killing two AU troops and a government soldier. Minnesota, home to the largest Somali community in the U.S., has been the center of a federal investigation in recent years into the recruiting and travels of young men who left the U.S. believed to have gone to fight with al-Shabab.

The FBI is aware of the bombing and has agents in East Africa investigating, and the agency is trying to determine the bomber’s identity, said Steve Warfield, an FBI spokesman in Minnesota.

“We are trying to find out who that guy is and if there are any ties to Minnesota, but right now we don’t know,” Warfield said.

He said that process could take time, and authorities may never get definitive answers. Not only do agents need to get into the war-torn country, which has been unstable for decades, they have to find something that could be tested for authenticity, he said.

More than 20 young men have left Minnesota in waves since 2007 to allegedly join al-Shabab, which the U.S. says has ties to al-Qaida.

A total of 19 people have been charged in Minnesota in connection with the travelers and alleged terror financing. Others have been charged in San Diego and St. Louis with funneling money to the terror group.

AP reports an interview with the supposed American bomber in which he says come and join us!

The man said the suicide bombing had been planned in advance. He also spoke briefly in English, delivering a message to his “brothers and sisters” in the West: “Wherever you are, brothers, come,” he said. “Come to jihad.”

The group is known for using Americans to recruit others to their cause.

Burying them at taxpayer expense!

We first reported on these Somali “kids” going back to Africa in 2008, here.  And, at that time we reported that the first American suicide bomber, was identified as Shirwa Ahmed of Minneapolis.  Here AP mentions him, but doesn’t mention that we brought his body parts back to the US and buried them at taxpayers expense!

The first known American suicide bomber in Somalia was Shirwa Ahmed of Minneapolis. He blew himself up in October 2008, in the northern breakaway republic of Somaliland as part of a series of coordinated explosions that killed 21 people. In September 2009, insurgents — including an 18-year-old from Seattle — drove two stolen United Nations cars into an African Union base and detonated them, killing 21 people.

And, to add to my annoyance over this whole story, the AP uses the ubiquitous Omar Jamal as a source.  Longtime readers know I call Jamal the Somali Jesse Jackson!  We have dozens of posts on the man convicted in Tennessee years ago of immigration fraud charges who should have been deported (we don’t deport to Somalia, by the way, Canada does), but who lazy reporters go to to help spin just about any Somali story.   Use our search function for ‘Omar Jamal’ and see what I mean!   LOL! Here is a story I posted in 2009 when another of the “kids” was killed in Somalia and Jamal insisted the US bring his body home.

For New Readers!  Stories like this one always bring new readers to RRW and you should know that the US State Department brings in thousands of Somalis every year as refugees.  Groups like Catholic Charities, the Hebrew Immigrant Aide Society, Church World Service and World Relief (among others) are paid with your tax dollars to resettle them in your towns.

We have admitted well over 100,000 Somali refugees to the US.   To check out the numbers visit this post, one of our most widely read posts over the last few years.   In FY2010 which ended September 30th the US State Department resettled 4,884 Somalis (here) to towns near you.  The “teen” would-be bomber in Oregon was one of the refugees.

Also, after being closed for nearly two years, the US State Department is on the verge (has been on the verge for months and months!)  of resuming the fraud-ridden family reunification program that admitted as many as 36,000 Somalis fraudulently to the US between 2003 and 2008.  See the latest on new regulations, here.

Now, also, Somalis are coming illegally across our borders and ironically asking for asylum because of the radical Islamic Jihadists (including Americans!) in Africa.

Catholic Priest: Increase the quota! Send more Africans to America!

This is a story I’ve had in my queue for almost a week now.   A Catholic Priest, speaking about the situation in Tunisia involving violence in a refugee camp (we told you about the murders here), says to speed up the resettlement process—keep violence down by sending migrants to the West!

From Agenzia Fides:

“The Tunisian authorities have asked to speed up procedures to evacuate these people, both for those who can return to their country, and for those that can be accepted by other nations because they have the status of refugee- said Father Zerai -. There must be more willingness on behalf of those countries that had declared their willingness to accept refugees (European countries, USA, Canada, Australia) to increase the quota of refugees who can be accepted. “

Father Zerai reconstructs the latest episodes of violence. “Within the camp tension increased when a group of Sudanese tried to abuse a young Eritrean. His countrymen intervened in defense of the girl, triggering the reaction of the Sudanese. In the night between Saturday 21 and Sunday, May 22 they set fire to the tents of some Eritreans, killing four boys. ” The following day, May 23, a group of West Africans who were guests at the camp, blocked the road linking Tunisia to Libya, thus preventing the passage to the inhabitants of the place who had to go to work and have their businesses. So the villagers near the camp attacked, ransacked what they could and set fire to the tents of refugees.

” There are Eritreans, Ethiopians, Somalis, Sudanese, Nigerians, Ivorians, Senegalese and other West African countries in the camp – said the priest -. It was precisely the people from West Africa to hold the demonstration because they had not been granted the right to seek asylum in a host country, since they do not have the status of refugees, but so far they have not even been given the opportunity to return home. So they felt neglected by the international institutions and wanted to draw attention regarding their situation. “

But, of course they will behave themselves once they get what they want and you “welcome” them to your town!

Meanwhile the US Conference of Catholic Bishops is moaning about their loss of taxpayer funding (they are paid by the head!) as the flow of refugees (mostly for security hold-ups) is slowing to the US.

AG Holder visits Minneapolis Somalis, discusses “Islamophobia”

US Attorney General Eric Holder was in Minneapolis this past Friday for a conference on “youth violence” and then held a meeting with Somalis to discuss issues relating to the disappearance of some Somali youths (refugees who threw away the American Dream) to go to Africa to become Jihadists and the Somali youths who are being prosecuted for sex trafficking crimes.

MINNEAPOLIS — U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder visited Minneapolis Friday to praise the city for its program to reduce youth violence, but was interrupted several times by outbursts from protesters who claim the government has been unfairly targeting anti-war activists in a federal investigation.

Holder was in Minnesota to headline a conference on youth violence prevention, and to meet with young adults from the area’s Somali community — who have felt under fire in recent years as authorities investigate the travels of men who returned to Somalia to possibly fight with a terror group.

He also held a larger closed-door town hall meeting with area Muslims to talk about their concerns about law enforcement and “Islamophobia.”

After the conference, Holder held a town hall meeting with Somalis:

He [Holder] said reducing youth violence is a “moral calling” and one of the most important tasks in shaping the nation’s future. Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak said the program has led to a reduction in the numbers of youths involved in violent crime, including youth victims.

After the conference, Holder met with young adults in the Somali community, and held a larger town hall with members of the wider Muslim community.

U.S. Attorney for Minnesota B. Todd Jones, who was with Holder all day, said the attorney general met with the young Somali adults because that age group has been affected by the men who traveled to Somalia to possibly join al-Shabab, as well as a more recent federal investigation into human trafficking of young girls for sex.

“I don’t think it’s lost on anybody that we have some attention to pay to these issues involving Somali youth,” Jones said. He said Holder met with those ages 18-29 for about 40 minutes.

“They’re concerned about issues of profiling, harassment, perceptions of harassment. They are concerned about Islamophobia, being targeted, and the demonization of their religion, to a certain degree,” he said.

Jones said the group had suggestions for law enforcement and prosecutors. He declined to be specific.
“The AG did a lot of listening,” Jones said. “He very much appreciated the opportunity to hear from folks in an unfiltered way.”

Jones said the prosecutions have ramifications in the community when it comes to perceptions and stereotyping, and the overarching theme was that many felt they were being “demonized” for their religion. Jones said he and Holder made it clear the Department of Justice doesn’t prosecute communities, and works to protect communities from hate crimes.

Abdirizak Bihi, director of the Somali Education and Social Advocacy Center, attended the town hall meeting and said he was impressed.

He said Holder seems to genuinely care about civil rights issues Somalis face. Holder talked to the group about the different ways they can fight discrimination and how important it is for police to help them do that, Bihi said. Holder also distributed material on legal advocacy resources.

“I was very glad that he was well-immersed on the issue,” Bihi said, adding that Holder made it clear that part of his job was to protect Americans from domestic and foreign terrorists.

Why Somalis and why now?

Saeed Fahia,* executive director of the Confederation of Somali Community in Minnesota, said he was impressed to see so many powerful African Americans together — referring to Holder, Jones and U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison.

Fahia said he thought the meeting was productive, but that his most important question for Holder was never answered.

“Why did he feel he needed to meet with Somalis as opposed to other groups?” he asked. “Why Somalis and why now?”

Indeed!  That is the question!  I think Holder and Homeland Security know more than they are letting the public know.  Holder is fully aware that if the Somalis continue to bring attention on themselves through crime or terrorism it would stymie Far Left plans to bring about their borderless socialist dream world.  Holder and his friends (Tom Perez included) surely think the colonization of America that they encourage will work in their political favor—I think they are sorely mistaken.  Islamists will not be Marxists in the end.
