Jerry Gordon writing at New English Review pointed out that our old buddy, Omar Jamal, put his two cents worth into the discussion on the Somali sex gangs, here yesterday.

Quoted in a Fox News report, that old reliable quote machine, Jamal, said this:

Omar Jamal, an advocate for Somalis in Minnesota, said the allegations shocked the Somali community, whose members pointed out Islam forbids such activity.

“Collectively, they might have been in denial that such grave sex minor trade could ever be going on in the community,” he said. “It’s a kind of crime that a community can never think of their kids as being capable of doing this. … People are saying, ‘How could this be? How could such a thing happen?'”

Looks to me like Jamal is confirming they were Somali “kids” indicted.  Funny because last night the ever-present Allahsoldier told us they weren’t Somalis at all, but “djiboutians” (whatever that is)  in a comment to my post yesterday.

Back to the story folks Who got. Arrested were NOT Somalis but djiboutians who speak and look like Somalis . Most ethiopians and eriterians
And djiboutians always say that they are from Somalia in order to get their immigration papers and plus change their names too like Ann or Annie something like that.

Omar Jamal: a brief history

For new readers, we haven’t written much about Omar Jamal ever since he went to the United Nations to represent Somalia, here, in January.  But, previous to that we wrote about him regularly here at RRW—I called him the Jesse Jackson of the Somali community because he seemed to be everywhere to spin positive stories out of  negative ones on Somalis. 

I first noticed Jamal in 2007 when he spun a Somali rape case in St. Paul.  It was kind of hard to spin because the crime was caught on surveillance camera.

Then he dashed out to Denver when they found a dead Canadian Somali in a hotel room with enough cyanide to kill hundreds in advance of the Democratic National Convention in 2008.  He helped spin the story that the guy was mentally impaired after calling the family he said he knew in Canada.

He insinuated himself in the alleged vote fraud in Minneapolis in the Norm Coleman/Al Franken race, as well as Somali murder cases and other gang violence in that city.

Then he was deeply entangled in the Minneapolis Somali missing youth story—you know the story where Somali “kids” went back to Africa for Jihad training.

Next he dashed off to New York City to see if he could be of any help in the Somali pirate case after supposedly talking to the “kids'” family in Somalia.

About that time, the man who was convicted of immigration fraud in Tennessee in 2005 and should have been deported ended up at the United Nations!

I’m too lazy to put in all the links so just type Omar Jamal into our search function and find pages and pages of posts in which he has been mentioned. 

I was surprised to learn he is back spinning stories in Minneapolis.

Somalis seem to be keeping American courts busy these days.  I just minutes ago wrote about the Somali charged in San Antonio with helping illegal aliens enter the US (here) and then up pops this story from San Diego.

SAN DIEGO — The arrest of the leader of a City Heights mosque, a man described as a revered figure who was known for advocating nonviolence and tolerance, has stunned the close-knit Somali community in City Heights, where many refugees of the war-torn country live, work and pray.

Mohamed Mohamed Mohamud, 38, appeared in federal court Wednesday to answer to charges that he was involved in a conspiracy to provide money and other aid to al-Shabaab in Somalia, which U.S. authorities have designated a foreign terrorist organization.

Mohamud and co-defendant Issa Doreh, 54, pleaded not guilty. A third defendant, Basaaly Saeed Moalin, 33, pleaded not guilty to similar charges Tuesday.

Mohamud has been the imam — the religious leader — of Masjid Al-Ansar on Winona Avenue for 10 years, said Bashir Hassan, secretary of the small mosque that primarily serves Somali refugees. Doreh and Moalin both attended the mosque, Hassan said.

San Diego’s Somali community, estimated at more than 10,000 people, is the second largest in the United States, behind Minnesota’s Twin Cities.

Every city with a Somali population has a Somali “communty center” of some sort ostensibly to help refugees get settled and get signed up for government goodies.   These so-called Ethnic Community Based Organizations are usually funded by taxpayers.  It would be interesting to learn how or why this ECBO in San Diego, connected to one of the three arrested, is now defunct.

Doreh, a longtime San Diego resident, was at one time president of the now defunct Somali Community of San Diego, one of many nonprofit organizations that were launched in the early 1990s when many Somali refugees came to the area.

For new readers: We have admitted well over 100,000 Somali refugees to the US.   To check out the numbers visit this post, probably our most widely read post over the last few years.   In FY2010 which ended September 30th the US State Department resettled 4,884 Somalis (here) to towns near you.

Also, after being closed for nearly two years, the US State Department is on the verge of resuming the fraud-ridden family reunification program that admitted as many as 36,000 Somalis fraudulently to the US between 2003 and 2008.  See the latest on new regulations, here.

Whenever I’m short on time to post (as I am today), I can be sure to quickly check my alerts and find some new and shocking story involving Somalis.  Here the New York Times reports on the execution of two teens, one only 14 years old, accused of spying for Ethiopia.   You can read all the gory details yourself at the Times.

Also reporting on the news is Brenda Walker at Limits to Growth who puts the latest barbarism in the Horn of Africa into more colorful (and politically incorrect!) terms. 

Civilization has had little effect in the Horn of Africa, where Islamist soldiers executed two girls apparently out of pique or boredom or too much khat. Or perhaps the Shabaabers wanted to demonstrate their power over the locals.

Nevertheless, Washington continues to welcome thousands of Somalis every year as both immigrants and refugees, despite their disinclination for assimilation as shown by terrorism and gang crime.

The question is why the feds continue to admit many thousands of arguably the most inappropriate, undesirable immigrants on earth. The correct number of Somalis allowed to enter the US should be zero.
