How they slaughtered a refugee girl in Somalia

The Toronto Star published today a lengthy investigative piece on the obscure life of a 13-year-old Somali refugee girl whose death the world must now notice.  We mentioned the tragic story earlier here, but only now are the shocking details coming to light.

She lived here:

Asho had never known any life other than the refugee camp, about 80 kilometres west of Somalia’s border. Spread across a vast swath of desert, Dadaab was created by the UNHCR, the United Nations’ refugee agency 17 years ago to provide temporary refuge for Somalis fleeing the chaos of Mogadishu. Today, it is the world’s largest refugee camp, home to 230,000 people living in three areas called Hagadera, Ifo and Dagahaley, but collectively known as Dadaab.

How she came to leave the camp and travel to Somalia is still a mystery.  She disappeared in August and her father heard from her on a morning in October when she called crying uncontrollably.  She was not allowed to finish her call.   The family learned later that she had been raped by three men and made the terrible mistake of reporting  the crime to authorities.  Little did she know she was the criminal under Sharia law.

At about 4 p.m. that same day, armed guards dragged Asho before a crowd of hundreds. Her legs were partially buried so she could not escape, witnesses told local media. Then, a small group of men were given large rocks. Before the stoning began, some onlookers tried to intervene, running forward in protest. Militia, members of a radical Islamic group known as al Shabaab (The Youth), fired, and a young boy was reportedly killed.

Rock after rock struck Asho’s head and chest. The breaks came when someone, reportedly a nurse, stepped forward to see if she was dead. Asho had a pulse; the stoning resumed.

Reuters later quoted a witness named Abdullahi Aden who described the scene when Asho was brought “screaming, as she was forcefully bound, legs and hands.” Pictures, surreptitiously taken with a cellphone camera and posted on the Internet, reportedly record the gruesome aftermath. One blurry shot shows the bloodied face of a girl wearing a soiled pink sweater.

After Asho died, someone identifying himself as Sheik Hayakalah gave an interview to Somali Radio Shabelle. “The evidence came from her side and she officially confirmed her guilt while she told us that she was happy with the punishment under Islamic law,” he said.

Asho had been sentenced to death for “adultery.”

Stoning as capital punishment is sanctioned under Sharia law, although the killing of a 13-year-old girl is believed to be a first in Somalia.

Readers may recall that al Shabaab is the Islamic terrorist group reportedly recruiting in the United States and condemning the West to hell.

Mainstream media slooowly catching on to African immigration fraud

Can you believe it, the Washington Post finally reported yesterday on the African immigration fraud and the State Department’s suspension of the P-3 family reunification program worldwide!   Reported in the Metro Section, and entitled “Torn asunder in war, then peace,”  the story is your usual sob story about families that cannot be reunited because the big bad US government isn’t processing their papers.

Read it here.

We have reported on this story extensively here.  The WaPo is inaccurate when it says the program was suspended six weeks ago, the suspension actually occurred in the spring  and was originally reported in the Wall Street Journal here.

Refugee advocates are spouting the line they always spout about how the definition of family is different in Africa.

The problem with this scientific and legal approach, say refugee advocates, is that it does not always mesh with the culture in conflicted African countries, where children are often adopted informally, definitions of family are elastic and chaotic conditions often leave orphans or lost children in other people’s permanent care.

None of those commenting mentions a word about possible terrorists getting into the US through refugee resettlement, but this article mentions another aspect I hadn’t thought of, namely slavery and child trafficking.

The problem, they said, is that when DNA does not match, it is difficult to sort through the thicket of family histories and glean the truth, especially in turbulent societies with few government records.

“We are sympathetic, but when people lie about blood relationships, it raises fears that we may be facilitating child trafficking or that people are trying to bring in their servants,” the State Department official said.

This is one sob story in the WaPo that interested me.

Teshaye Teferra, director of the Ethiopian Community Development Council in Arlington County, told of one man who was forced to flee Ethiopia years ago. For years, he faithfully supported the girl he thought was his daughter, paying for her education and sending birthday gifts. But when he applied to bring her here recently, it turned out that their DNA did not match and the case was rejected.

Sounds to me he was planning to bring himself a young honey.   I could be wrong but I believe I read that Teferra is related (brother maybe?) to Niki Tesfai who was indicted last year for defrauding the government and the refugees she was supposed to be helping in Los Angeles.  I don’t know what happened to her case, but to anyone looking for an incredible anatomy of fraud story see this article.

What do you know! Al-Shabaab in the news again today

This morning we had more news about the Minneapolis Missing Somali youths and how they had likely gone off to join Al-Shabaab in Somalia.   Now here is a story about Human Rights Watch blaming the problems in Somalia on the United States (so what else is new?).    Hat tip:  Jerry Gordon.

The State Department protests charges that the US has made Somalia a battlefield in the war on terror by supporting the transitional government.   Heck, I can’t figure out what is going on there, but this is what interested me because I think it’s inaccurate.

The United States fears that Somalia could be a terrorist breeding ground, and accuses a powerful insurgent faction known as al-Shabab of harboring the al-Qaida-linked terrorists who allegedly blew up the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998.

It seems to me that a more accurate statement is that we and other do-gooder western countries have been the “breeding ground” and Somalia is where we send all these strapping young men we raised to fight.

So, we might be making the situation in Somalia worse, as Human Rights Watch contends, but not in the way they think.

Since I haven’t mentioned it lately and we have new readers, we have resettled over 80,000 Somali refugees in the last 25 years and half of those have come since 9/11.

More on missing Minneapolis Somali youths, and gee Denmark’s are missing too

The saga of the missing Somali young men continues.  Here is the latest, from AP no less.   Hat tip for this post:  several friends from Tennessee.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Three Somali families tell similar stories: A son or nephew disappears. A passport is gone. Days later the phone rings, and the teen says he’s in Somalia.

The phone call is abrupt and short on details. And then, nothing.

Relatives of three teenagers say they fear their loved ones are victims, brainwashed to return to Somalia to fight. The impoverished nation on the Horn of Africa is caught up in an Islamic insurgency and hasn’t had a functioning government in 17 years.

“We are not sure who is responsible,” said Hussein Samatar, a community leader and uncle to a 17-year-old who traveled to Somalia. “But we, as a community, believe they have to be held accountable.”

Read on and see that their families want some explanations and that they are pointing a finger at the local mosque.   Actually I want some explanations too.  Are we breeding Islamic fighters in the State Department’s Refugee Resettlement program?   Many of these strapping young men who we have fed, housed, educated and kept healthy would be dead now in Somalia if they had been raised there.

Instead we raised them here so they could go back and fight as part of the Al Shabaab (youth movement) terrorist group whose goal is to establish Sharia Law.  We will just have to hope and pray they stay in Somalia (if they are there) and hope and pray the Obama Administration doesn’t decide to send Americans to Somalia to put down the growing insurgency.

Earlier reports identified the terrorist group Al-Shabaab as the group recruiting in Minnesota.  That is the group that has said it wants to send the West to hell.   Looks like they are on the rise in Somalia and establishing Sharia Law according to this news report from China:

MOGADISHU, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) — Ten people have been killed and nearly 16 others wounded in separate violent incidents in southern Somalia as an insurgent group announced formation of an Islamic administration in Merka, a southern port town, local media reports said Saturday.

[….]

In the southern port town of Merka, provincial capital of Lower Shabelle province, the Islamist Al-Shabaab movement, which controls the town, has set up “an Islamic administration” for the town which has been under their control since November.

Spokesman for the group, Sheik Muqtar Robow Abu Mansoor, told local residents in announcing the administration that it would serve the people and work to reconcile between them.

“The new administration will implement the (Islamic) Sharia Lawand will govern justly in the interest of the people in this town,” Abu Mansoor said.

Al-Shabaab controls a number of key towns and cities in southern Somalia and has formed similar administrations which implement strict Islamic Sharia law.

There is more!  Now, Danish Somalis are missing and presumed to have gone to Somalia as well to fight with Al-Shabaab.

More and more Somalis with a residence permit in Denmark are going to back their former homeland to get military training and religious school at the al-Qaeda related terror group al-Shabab. This has gotten the Danish intelligence service to pay more attention to Somalis living in Denmark, reports Politiken.

The head of the Somali Society in Aarhus, Abdirashid Sheikh Mohamud, is concerned about the development and calls it a “very sensitive area.”

“The government in Somalia has complained in the past about people from Scandinavia who support al-shabab either militarily or financially. I believe that about 15 people from Jutland traveled to Somalia to train with the group. In Zealand there are certainly several,” he says to Politiken.

He has unsuccessfully tried to warn against an extremist group among a small, non-integrated part of the 16,000 Somalis in Denmark.

New Islamic terrorists brought to you by immigration policies of  do-gooders in western countries.  Great, just great.

Start here to learn more about the Somalis missing in Minnesota.   Incidentally the Somali Islamic terrorists we raised in America may have been here illegally in the first place!

P.S.  We buried the first American Somali suicide bomber just last week.

Somali men missing all over the world! Training are they?

Update Dec. 5th:  Northeast Intelligence Network has more details here.  Says they are being trained to return to the US and attack soft targets.

We reported to you last week that as many as 40 Somali young men are missing from the Minneapolis area and are believed to have gone to terrorist training camps either in Somalia or elsewhere to supposedly prepare to fight in the civil war in their homeland.   Keep in mind these American men came here originally as refugee boys who we have fed, educated, housed and kept healthy, for what?   To blow themselves (and innocent people) to bits like their buddy Ahmed did recently?

Now, comes a story from FOX today (Hat tip:  Blulitespecial) that Somali young men have turned up missing in other western countries as well as Australia.   And, look who knows all about it—Omar Jamal, who else.  He has got a pulse on the whole world!

I’ve come across 10 to 15 mothers crying because their sons are missing,” said Omar Jamal, executive director of the Minneapolis-based Somali Justice Advocacy Center.

A senior U.S. military intelligence analyst said the number may be even higher, since not all of the families whose sons have gone abroad will report it.

Jamal said the Somali community has seen young men disappear in a number of countries across the world, including Canada, the Netherlands and Australia. Multiple sources within the Somali community have corroborated this account.

You know what strikes me as really telling about Mr. Jamal’s statement?   Wouldn’t you think this was such a big deal that if crying mothers were coming to you about their missing sons you might remember exactly who they were and know how many it was—10 women, 11 women, or whatever number?   When he says 10-15 “crying mothers” it strikes me as a fabrication.  Jamal fabricated his way into the US, so what else is new?

Back to the story.

Intelligence sources confirm that men are missing and not just in Europe and Australia.

A senior American intelligence source confirms that Somalis have vanished in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia, adding that some people from the Caribbean also appear to have left for Somalia. And not all of the people bound for training or jihad in Somalia have a Somali background, the source said.

A man who appears to be Caucasian and is aligned with the Somalia-based terrorist group Shabaab can be seen in a recent jihadist video, and another gave an interview with al-Jazeera (though he wore a facemask when doing so). The source said that at least three African-Americans from the Minneapolis area also are suspected of traveling to Somalia to join jihadist groups.

Shabaab is the Muslim terrorist group we mentioned the other day, the one which wants to send us to hell.

So, if you are thinking, just let them go off and kill themselves in Somalia, that is well and good unless they plan to return as this article contemplates.

The size of the recruiting network in the U.S. isn’t known, and estimates vary widely. But a major concern is what will happen when these young men return to the U.S. after having undergone terrorist training or participated in combat.

Certainly the Department of Homeland Security, the TSA, knows if these men left the country and will be able to stop them when they return.  But, I worry about something else, what if they never left?
