Are these the refugees we really want in Australia?

Diversity is beautiful alert!

Reader ‘petzix’ sent us this recent op-ed which describes an incident on a boat carrying illegal migrants to Australia.

Readers here know that Australia’s government under Prime Minister Tony Abbott has been making great strides in closing the borders to the mostly Muslim aliens arriving by boat.

http://sheikyermami.com/i-will-kill-you-if-you-dont-take-us-to-australia-is-that-the-kind-of-cultural-enrichment-we-want/

From Andrew Bolt writing at the Herald Sun News (emphasis mine):

THE ABC’s 7.30 on Monday accidentally showed exactly why we should stop the boats of illegal immigrants — and not only to end the drowning.

The ABC’s footage, including video shot by boat people turned back last month, actually showed a dangerous cultural difference.

How could these 34 people from Iran, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal — mostly Muslim countries that are neither war-torn nor famine-struck — think that threatening to kill our sailors, shouting “f— Australia” and warning of another September 11 would make us unlock our hearts and our door?

And how many people just like them are among the more than 50,000 Labor let sail in uninvited, even taxiing them in on our warships?

Last month our Navy — under new instruction from the Abbott Government — towed another boatload of illegal immigrants back to Indonesia after intercepting them at sea and transferring them into an unsinkable lifeboat.

Some on the lifeboat filmed their tow-back on their mobile phones and, evidently to win our sympathy, gave the footage to the ABC — their friendliest media outlet.

They also gave interviews to tell of the alleged inhumanity of our sailors.

I don’t criticise the ABC for broadcasting all this on Monday and do not accuse it of bias. In fact, I praise it for not deleting footage from the boat people, which actually discredited them.

And here is the point: how complete is the cultural disconnect between such boat people and their Australian audience that they thought their story would soften our hearts?

First, the ABC admitted its main subject, Iranian Arash Sedigh, who is pictured, twice tried to smuggle himself and his wife here by boat after he’d been “refused entry to Australia through the skilled migration program”. Sedigh added: “We decided to go there in illegal way, to make them accept us.”

This sounded like a man we didn’t want telling us we had no right to reject him.

Next, Sedigh said after his boat was intercepted, he warned our sailors: “I will kill you if you don’t take us to that ship. I have nothing to lose. I will kill you. Believe me.”

Then, as the 34 illegal immigrants were towed back to Indonesia, they filmed themselves shouting “f— Australia” and raising the middle finger.

Sedigh even had himself filmed issuing this warning: “F— Australia … If later on you said why they do that to America on September 11, you should know the cause of it is your very deeds.

“Remember 9/11 for United States. All the world should know why.”

For new readers, this is our 128th post on Australia, here.

Guess where this photo was taken?

Yesterday we had a photo from Sweden where a disgruntled subway rider pulled a gun when he didn’t have the fare.

Here is today’s disgruntled migrant who didn’t have his bus fare.  Thanks to reader ‘petzix‘ for sending us the story.  Petzix says the man administering the beating is a Somali.

Can you guess from where?

That is the bus driver on the ground!

The Gold Coast, Australia!  Here!

But at least in Australia they are trying to get their migrant/asylum seeker invasion under control, not so in Sweden.

See ‘strategy session’ with Somalis and white organizer on how to break into Australia, here.

Addendum:  After I posted this, I see that ‘pp’ had alerted us to a TV show on Australia’s illegal migrant problem this past week, here.   The Australian had this to say about the show.

Australian academic: the public is against asylum seekers arriving by boat!

Warns refugee activists that they are out of touch and have little chance of winning over the public!

Meanwhile, in touch with public opinion, the government has proposed a significant decrease in the number of refugees permitted to stay in Australia annually.

From SBS.com (emphasis mine):

An academic says refugee advocates are out of touch with popular opinion, which is overwhelmingly against asylum seekers who arrive by boat.

Professor Andrew Markus is a member of the Scanlon Foundation which has been mapping public opinion on this issue since 2007.

He says asylum seeker advocates need to take notice of the fact that their opinions about asylum seekers are not shared by the majority of Australians.

Professor Andrew Markus from Monash University in Melbourne has researched widely in the areas of immigration and social cohesion.

Public concern for border protection second only to the economy!

He says in one recent survey of around 1000 people, border protection was rated as the second most important issue facing Australia after the economy.

Professor Markus adds that his own analysis suggests border protection is a growing public concern.

Young or old, educated or not so well-educated, less than 20% of those surveyed support boat people being allowed to stay in Australia.

“I’ve done all sorts of analysis by every different demographic you care to find. And one of the very unusual features on the asylum issue, it’s that normally by level of education or by age, there’s a big division. If you’re better educated you’re much more likely to be receptive to cultural diversity. But on the asylum issue you don’t get that just a marginal difference. Similarly young people are much more accepting and again we don’t get that normal split that we would normally get.”

The Scanlon Foundation has released a yearly report on immigration and social cohesion since 2007, based on surveys of around 2000 people.

Its most recent survey found that less than 20 per cent of Australians think asylum seekers arriving by boat should be given permanent residency.

Professor Markus says that’s a reality that refugee advocates can’t ignore.

But, of course they do, just yesterday the Refugee Council of Australia decried the plans by the  government to reduce the number of refugees permitted in Australia from 20,000 to 13,750 annually.  Imagine the furor in the US (from the resettlement contractors) if Congress said NO! to the President and cut US refugee admission by the same percentage!

Reports of asylum seekers rioting on Manus Island surely don’t help the Refugee Council’s public relations campaign!  Nor does news, like that we reported yesterday from multi-culti Blacktown, help their cause.  *Update: Asylum seeker dies in Manus Island escape attempt, here.

About the photo!  Read all about the “alien-looking” alien transport vessels reportedly purchased by the Australian government, here.  It sure looks like they mean business!

A reminder: check those “Top Posts” daily!

We’ve had a lot of new readers and more interest lately in Refugee Resettlement issues facing first world countries.   In some cases a story catches fire on facebook and our numbers soar.  If you check the “Top Posts” (right hand sidebar) every day, you can get an idea of what stories are interesting our readers around the world.

Yesterday, the Lewiston, Maine post from last week took off.    And, our fact sheet (US), is a hit every day!

Although the majority of our readers are from the US, we have thousands upon thousands visiting from around the world.  Looking back over the last two years (when wordpress began giving us stats from other countries), these are the top ten countries from which we host visitors to RRW (the order switches around slightly from month to month but the list below is the approximate order) with the UK topping the list:

UK
Australia
Canada
Germany
S. Africa
Thailand
India
Sweden
Netherlands
France

Not far behind France is Malta!

We bring you stories from around the world just so you know that the refugee/asylum issue is plaguing industrialized countries everywhere and your concern here in America, that excessively high numbers of migrants are attempting to get into America, is shared by others who fear for their country, their culture, and the potentially disastrous impact on Western civilization as a result of demographic change.

Some countries are taking action to stem the tide—front and center right now is Australia!

Blacktown, Australia: a look into the future for your diverse American city?

Diversity is beautiful alert!  (Brought to you by failed do-gooder policies)

Blacktown City Council is a Refugee Welcome Zone! http://www.blacktown.nsw.gov.au/People_and_Community/Community_Development_Grants/Multicultural_Community

It’s a news story about a rape—a gang of Sudanese refugee boys raped a girl from Western Samoa and now the suburb of Sydney in New South Wales is in turmoil again with revenge on many people’s minds.

Racial tensions rise! From the Sydney Morning Herald (hat tip ‘pungentpeppers’).

The article opens with a report of what happened and that one arrest has been made so far.   We pick up with the sections of the story that report on efforts being made by those looking for “social cohesion” to calm the inflamed situation.  Not a race crime they are quick to say:

Community leaders hope the arrest will send a clear signal that the matter is best left in the hands of the authorities. At a hastily convened meeting earlier in the week, prompted by media coverage, the new police commander for Blacktown, Superintendent Gary Merryweather, youth leaders, school principals and social welfare agencies discussed how to get the message out that the alleged crime was not a race crime.

”There is not more of race crime here than anywhere else” says Susan Vogels, chief executive of migrant services organisation SydWest. ‘‘It’s just that Blacktown seems to be an easy hit, we get the reputation for it, and it’s very wearing because of all the work we are doing to ensure social cohesion.’’

OMG!  They think “harmony walks” will bring social cohesion!  If one were allowed to do a comedy skit of just such a walk it would be roll-on-the-floor funny!

One immediate outcome of the meeting was the resumption of the ‘‘harmony walks’’ begun by Superintendent Merryweather’s predecessor, Mark Wright, several years ago, when regular fights were flaring between bored young men from rival ethnic groups in the Blacktown area. On Thursday, local police set out on foot with high-profile leaders from the African and Pacific Islander communities, weaving through places frequented by youngsters.

184 different ethnic groups live in Blacktown!  They “find their way” to Australia from the world’s trouble spots!

Blacktown is the most heavily populated local government area in NSW. Its nearly 320,000 residents come from 184 different national and ethnic backgrounds. An estimated quarter of them are aged under 18. Some fleeing Syria’s carnage are starting to find their way to Blacktown.

‘‘They come from wherever the trouble spots in the world are,’’ says Ms Vogels, ‘‘and we try to assist them to become good, functioning citizens.’’

But she admits agencies like hers are ‘‘running on the smell of a greasy rag and that rag is getting less and less oil on it’’.

It’s about gangs—race not always a catalyst—say gang members.

Two teenage Sudanese boys who spoke to Fairfax Media behind a basketball court in Blacktown on Thursday evening said their weekends were consumed by drinking and fighting, although race was not always the catalyst.

‘‘It’s all about who your boys are,’’ said Deng, 16, whose surname has been withheld. ‘‘You gotta defend the area. You gotta defend the honour of Blacktown.’’ Adam, 17, says: ‘‘There’s Bloods, Crips, Lalor Park boys, Bidwill boys.’’

Now, that bad ‘ol conservative government has cut the funds for pet programs (that obviously weren’t working!):

Among programs to have suffered is the ‘‘Comm4Unity’’ program in Blacktown, which runs singing and dancing competitions for young people at the Westpoint shopping centre, allowing hundreds of youths from different ethnic backgrounds to mingle and make friends.

Sudanese mother of TEN!  I can’t keep the older boys in school!

In the park, four police officers were questioning a 15-year-old boy, the son of 40-year-old Asunta, who came from South Sudan seven years ago. She stood nearby, agitated, carrying a four-month-old on one hip. She has 10 children and it is hard, she says, to keep the older boys at school.

So where is the father of all these children?

From Malmo, Sweden to Blacktown, Australia, the lesson is—it doesn’t work!  It is human nature to defend ones territory, culture and ethnicity and to fight for survival (now handouts from generous governments).  Grand diversity experiments, where ethnic groups are forced into close association (even with harmony walks and singing and dancing competitions), only exacerbates the drive for survival of one’s ethnic or racial group.

The one group that seems to have a death wish is made up of white people!
