Advice from a reader in-the-know!

Update:  Do not miss the comments to this post!
Editor:  This is another in our series ofcomments worth noting’ and was posted by ‘jdelaney3 ‘ to our post yesterday, ‘Is yours to be a “welcoming” refugee community?’  I assure you that this reader knows what he is talking about!

Get organized! (from ‘jdelaney3’)

I urge folks to deluge local resettlement agency offices with phone calls to determine what refugees and in what numbers they plan to accept for resettlement during the remainder of the year. Put them on notice that you and many others will be watching.

If any of those refugees the agency is planning to resettle are, from all reports, improperly vetted, urge them NOT to “assure” (accept) them.

Keep your eye on these volags/ngos/gov’t contractors and call with regularity for updated information as to what refugees have arrived and what refugees are expected to arrive.

I would also contact City Hall and the County Executive to intercede as well in this regard.

Also, reach out to community organizations, many of which should welcome the opportunity to keep tabs on the refugee influx as well.

If the agency is a Catholic-supervised operation, e.g. Migration & Refugee Services–USCCB, also touch base with the Diocese as often as appropriate. Let them all know they’re being monitored.

It’s all about pressure and oversight which these refugee resettlement operations are terrified of.

Finally, if you know folks who have firsthand familiarity with the local resettlement office staff and operation, ask them to keep you posted. Not all who work for or volunteer for these agencies are lackeys.

So how do you find your local resettlement agency offices? Click here and if you live near one of these offices know that they can resettle refugees in nearby towns—up to 100 miles or about a two hour drive away.
But, here is step 2!  You have got to get what you learn out beyond your own little circle!  Write a blog or website, write letters-to-the-editor, develop a social media network, make youtube vids, whatever it takes!
Use your free speech while you’ve got it!

Comment worth noting: '7delta' answers Hetfield of HIAS, Inc.

Not intentionally though…..
Editor: Yesterday while I was away in Washington, DC, ‘7delta’ left an important comment to my post of two days ago about the legislation making its way through the South Carolina legislature, read about it here, that would among other things make the Volags (the federal refugee contractors) responsible for any criminal activity any of their ‘clients’ might be responsible for in the state.
The ‘religious’ federal refugee contractors are screaming bloody murder saying that such a RESPONSIBILITY for their charges (their refugee clients) abridges their (the Volags) religious freedom.

Hias and Hetfield
Hetfield never mentions to readers of the Washington Post that his organization receives millions of your tax dollars every year to place refugees in your towns in a process completely lacking in transparency. The WaPo does its readers a great disservice by not adding such a disclaimer.

It was really no surprise to see that Mark Hetfield, the President of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, penned an op-ed on this very subject in the Washington Post (which I read in the train station yesterday).
By the way, a few years ago the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society dropped the word ‘Hebrew’ from its name and is now HIAS, Inc. I’m speculating that perhaps the many Muslim refugees they resettle now might have objected to the ‘Hebrew’ word, or it is meant to reflect the fact that the UN/US isn’t resettling Jews and the organization wanted to remain relevant (and able to collect your tax dollars for their ‘religious charitable work.’).
Here is just one paragraph of the Hetfield WaPo defense (LOL! they are on the defense in many ‘pockets of resistance’ these days).

As the shocking rise in anti-Muslim bigotry collides with increasing concern about terrorism at home and abroad, legislation attacking refugees has spread rapidly spread across the country. But South Carolina’s bill could set a unique and dangerous precedent. If South Carolina passes this disastrous legislation, it risks not only endangering those seeking refuge on our shores and tarnishing our country’s proud tradition of assisting those forced to flee their homes, but also jeopardizing the promise of religious freedom that is the core of American civic life.

Note how deceptively Hetfield writes, this bill doesn’t ‘attack’ refugees, it places responsibility for them on Hetfield (as a contractor) and he doesn’t like that one bit.
‘7delta’s’ timely comment works very well to answer Hetfield, but before you read it, I need to mention another comment to the same post from a reader identified as ‘o’reilly.’  This made me laugh:

I don’t know why the agencies would object to this provision. They constantly brag about the layers and layers of checks that are done before bringing the “refugees” to the U.S.

If they don’t have faith in those checks, why should we?

Here then is ‘7delta’ inadvertently answering Hetfield (I’m grateful for people like ‘7delta’ who do such thoughtful, careful work which I don’t have the patience to do!) in a response to another reader ‘Conprof’ who said:

Thank you to our brave SC Senator Kevin Bryant a legislator who understands the U.S. Constitution and what it means to have religious freedom; it does not mean one can do anything and everything, no matter how dangerous, ill-advised, exploitive, or illegal, in the name of religion.

(Edited from the original only by adding paragraph breaks and highlighting important points)

The Constitution isn’t a suicide pact. SCOTUS ruled early on in this country’s history that religious claims did not exempt any person or group from having to abide by our laws and to assimilate into our culture.

There is no right or Constitutional protection to be detrimental or harm another person or their rights, or to undermine society or the government, morally or physically. No human or animal sacrifices, polygamy, patricide, etc….or honor killings, beheadings, mass murder in the name of any god or coercion, threats, whining about discrimination for being required to abide by our laws or making false claims about objections to their laws being forced by legislative means, treaty or acquiescence as being hate or phobic, or the use of violence to force us (non-believers) to accept and abide by their political religious laws that are contrary to ours.

Of course, the SCOTUS ruling was not addressing government misusing religion as a means to cause its version of harm, AKA fundamental transformation, but the principles remain the same. In this case, SCOTUS was correct.

However, the whole narrative and practice about the separation of church and state has been abusive and unconstitutional since SCOTUS misrepresented it in the 1960’s to remove prayer from schools. As a co-equal branch of the federal government, it did exactly what it claimed to correct; it interfered with the individual’s 1st Amendment protections by placing the federal government in the position to arbitrate exactly what it is expressly prohibited from doing in the 1st Amendment, as well as usurping the sovereignty of States to determine its own laws and practices that are not reserved to the limited authorities granted to the federal government.

As for the religious volags claiming their 1st Amendment rights are being violated, their claims are in complete opposition to what the Bible says about the responsibilities of the individual, the body of the church and the government.

Their pretzel logic must take some serious twisting of God and reality for them to reach the conclusion that God meant they should engage in a lucrative enterprise that invites in a belief system that is the antitheses of Christianity and other religious disciplines, eliminates their right to “share the Gospel”, rejects man’s unalienable rights, has no concept of free will, and whose main obligation is to force all others into submission to its political laws, veiled as a religion, or to operate a “charity” as a business, not aided voluntarily by individuals, but well funded from the government treasury, an authority that is neither morally or Constitutionally possessed by the central government.

I’m afraid these religious people have it backwards. They are aiding and abetting subversive operatives within a corrupt government and the foreign agents of chaos certain aspects of western governments are using, yes using, to bring about the carnage and fear necessary to usher in a new governmental system the subversives are ready to implement.

To be clear, that’s overthrowing the government, no matter how much they soft soap it or tell us it’s for our protection. These religious people are infringing on ALL Americans’ rights, aiding and abetting government lawlessness, subversion and treason, and in the process, destroying their own rights. They are complicit in the inevitable and calculated destruction of the people who adhere to this antithetical belief system they are bringing here too, since these people are pawns, dispensable, easily manipulated pawns, due to their supremacist beliefs and singularly focused plan “to destroy the west by our own miserable hands and theirs”.

Because of the adherents obligation to use deceit to advance their cause and their self-serving focus, they are, by all appearances, unquestioning about why they are being allowed to advance. Neither do they appear capable of discerning the deceit manipulating them. These “refugees” will not win their battle..it won’t and can’t be allowed by the very people who are using them to secure their own power. The blood of the small numbers of forced-adherents who may genuinely want an escape from the horrors this foreign political system inflicts on them in their native country will also be on the hands of these volags, as will the the blood of all Americans and all others who are, and will be, victims of the religious volag’s “compassion.” Men and women of God? Whom do they really serve? It’s certainly not the God of the Bible.

There was a time when atheists and other belief systems in the U.S. understood the importance of the Christian belief of Natural Law and the freedoms it protected through the Rule of Law. They supported it, because it protected their right to not be forced into a state religion or to be persecuted by the force of law a state religion creates. They were even protective of the fact this country operated under the Christian philosophy of free will and personal liberty. It was in their best interest. Many probably still get it to various degrees. However, the “activists” today are willingly, ignorantly and loudly cutting off their own noses to spite their faces and are, oddly enough, onboard with bringing in a belief system that will do it for them, without exception. And now, we have errant Christians aiding all the subversives, whether they realize it or not.

Maybe these Christians would like to revisit the scriptures about “the falling away of churches” and what the Bible says about errant doctrine. Ignorance of man’s and God’s law is no excuse. Ignorance of evil isn’t either. Good intentions pave the road to hell when the drivers don’t bother with reading the road map accurately. Claims of religious motivation will not protect them from the consequences of their own actions. They have to decide which is more important, man’s errant judgment about speaking and knowing the truth or God’s judgment for not knowing or abiding by His truth.

Sorry for the length, but this whole “religious” angle from both government and the volags really annoys me. If I can research original documents and sources to learn the truth, so can they. Heck, I’ll even save them time by pointing them to official sources, so they don’t have to sift through thousands and thousands of sources like I did. They have no excuse for not knowing. They are responsible.

Comments worth noting: Listen-up Catholic readers

Editor: As long-time readers know we have a category of posts here at RRW entitled ‘Comments worth noting/guest posts’ and today we bring you this comment from reader ‘hogswithdogs’ to our post ‘So much for the Pope’s power of persuasion’ here.

From our reader:

ATTENTION CATHOLIC READERS!

The USCCB (US Conference of Catholic Bishops) has launched a National Catholic-Muslim dialogue. Partners include ISNA and the Islamic Circle of North America. Inter-faith dialogue is not new as CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) is active in the churches trying to seek ‘common ground’ and ‘building bridges’. Per Stephen Coughlin, they view the bridge as one way – us travelling to their side as they have no interest in Christianity.

Coughlin
Learn more here: http://blueridgeforum.com/?p=13120

My assumption is that you will hear more about this in your churches and the priests will be encouraged by their bishops to seek this ‘understanding’. How does this relate to this article? “Good question.”

Is the pope setting the tone for this dialogue? Is the pope setting an example that he wants us to follow? Will we see a push in the parishes to “adopt” Syrians sent to the United States by the UN?

What about the persecuted Christians? Our government is ignoring their plight. CHRISTIANS ARE PERSECUTED BY THE ‘REFUGEES’ THAT THE ADMINISTRATION WANTS TO RESETTLE IN THE UNITED STATES!

Talk to your priests and fellow parishioners. Pray for persecuted Christians and let them know that the persecution is at the hands of Islam by the people that the UN will be sending to the United States!

‘Hogswithdogs’ then directs us to the USCCB website here from February of this year where we learn of the church snuggling up to the Muslim Brotherhood in America:

The current regional Catholic-Muslim dialogues are the Mid-Atlantic (partnering with the Islamic Circle of North America), Midwest (partnering with the Islamic Society of North America) and West Coast (partnering with the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California and the Islamic Educational Center of Orange County). Each is co-chaired by a bishop and a Muslim leader from the corresponding regional organization. These dialogues will continue to meet and will work collaboratively with the members of the new national dialogue.

It is no wonder so many are drifting away from the Catholic church and that we have beautiful churches, like the one in Syracuse, becoming mosques.

Guest commentary: A warning directly from Europe

Editor’s note: From time to time, we publish guest opinion pieces or comments that readers have sent us.  This one is from an American living in Europe who wants to warn us, and remind us that we only need to look to Europe to see America’s future if we don’t get mass migration under control. Trending in Europe: Polygamy, Child Brides, and Female Genital Mutilation

Do you ever wonder what America will look like in a few decades?
Just look to Europe.

doner kebab
Mama Merkel would like us to focus on ‘welcoming’ diversity as if it is all about Döner Kebab replacing the apfelstrudel in Deutschland rather than the serious issues raised in this guest post.

Even though the United States is further behind in the process, American politicians are following Europe with the exact same policies.
As an American expat living in Europe, let me give you a first-hand account of the cultural changes we see unfolding in European society. Because this theme is so big, I’ll only focus on three disturbing topics most of us would rather not discuss: polygamy, child brides, and female genital mutilation. These trends are spreading throughout Europe as a direct result of immigration polices and demographic changes.

The Big Myth

First we need to name the big myth that underpins all of this insanity. It’s the idea that all refugees/immigrants arriving in our country will adopt Western values. We hear this from Barack Obama, Angela Merkel in Germany, and David Cameron in Great Britain. But it’s a lie. Anyone who spends a day in Brussels, an afternoon in Frankfurt, or a weekend in Stockholm knows the real truth. Tragically in Europe, it appears that integration is a myth.

Profiting from Polygamy

In Britain, a Muslim men can take multiple wives and have numerous children with each wife because everything will be paid for by the welfare system. These women are often forced into contracted marriages. Here’s how the process works, using a hypothetical example:
A Muslim man arrives in London and is granted asylum. The next year 4-8 of his family members arrive through family reunification. Then he arranges a marriage through family in Pakistan. His new wife arrives from Pakistan and she eventually has five children. She is unemployed and they receive generous welfare benefits. A few years later the man marries another woman from Pakistan and repeats the same process. Using this strategy the family can explode to 15 or more people, with each wife entitled to housing and benefits by the British taxpayers. With the growing strength of the Muslim community throughout Europe, Sharia law and legalized polygamy are now accepted norms.
If you think this is an exaggeration, you can read all about this trend unfolding not only in the Britain, but all over Europe:

“The multiple marriages have been encouraged by changes made to the British welfare system by the previous Labour government, which allowed Muslim immigrants to have a second, third or fourth wife (and in some cases five or more) treated as a single mother who can get a house and an array of other state payments for herself and her children.” [August 2012 Report]

“The “blind eye” turned towards polygamy in Britain – and in FranceBelgium and Germany – has ensured that some Muslim men are having upwards of 20 children by multiple wives, almost always at the state’s expense.” [November 2015 Report]

Welcome to the Islamization of the West. Polygamy is pure Islam as directed in the Koran, Sira, and Hadith. Mohammed, for example, had 11 wives and a large number of sex slaves. The Koran commands all Muslims to follow the example of Mohammed.

The Troubling Trend of Child Brides

The influx of refugees has exposed another cultural schism between Islam and Western civilization. You would think that in countries such as Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway, we would not be struggling the issue of child brides. But here we are in 2016 discussing this topic.
Numerous asylum seekers are arriving in Europe with wives who are below the age of sexual consent. One 23 year old Muslim man arrived with his 11 year old wife and 18 month old child. It’s a trend we see throughout Europe, reflecting the accepted practice in the Muslim world. Selling little girls as young as eight years old into marriage is a practice in Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries.
Muslim men having child brides is pure Islam. According to the Sira, Mohammed’s favorite wife was Aisha. She was six years old when she was officially contracted into marriage with Mohammed, and nine when she was brought into Mohammed’s sex harem. Mohammed was 53 years old at that time. The Hadith even describes how Mohammed allowed her to bring dolls into the sex harem because she was so young (Hadith; Muslim:177).

The Sickening Practice of Female Genital Mutilation

Here’s another topic that nobody, including me, wants to discuss in 2016 Western civilization. But thanks to our immigration policies and the Islamization of the West, female genital mutilation is increasingly practiced in our society and we need to face the uncomfortable facts. Female genital mutilation (FGM) includes “cutting off the female’s clitoris or labia and sometimes sewing the vagina shut” to prevent intercourse. FGM is practiced in much of Islamic society and parts of Africa.
Female genital mutilation is a growing problem in Europe. In 2003 the British government passed the “Female Genital Mutilation Act of 2003” to mitigate the spread of this barbaric practice. An official European parliament report estimates over “500,000 women and girls in Europe are living with female genital mutilation and an estimated 180,000 girls are at risk… [but] these figures are underestimated and do not take into account second-generation or undocumented migrants.”
The problem is so common in multicultural Germany, Berlin is now home to Europe’s first clinic devoted to treating victims of FGM.
Female genital mutilation is also part of Islamic culture. The practice is referenced in the Sira, which describes a man named Hamza who was the “son of a clitoris cutter” (Ishaq: 557). The Hadith assumes both men and women are “circumscised” as it describes bathing after “their circumscised genitalia touch” in intercourse (Muslim: 003,0684). Female genital mutilation was a common practice in 7th century Arabia, and now also 21st century Europe.

Western Civilization or Mass Immigration?

An entire encyclopedia could be written on the cultural changes we see unfolding in Europe. Literally every aspect of society is slowly changing, from big cities to small villages. Ancient churches are being closed and replaced with mosques and “Islamic education centers.” German bakeries are closed and replaced with “Doner Kebab” shops on every corner. And of course, you see the demographic changes everywhere: an older European society is slowly dying out and being replaced by a younger Muslim society.
My fellow Americans, the choice is yours. You can either choose to keep your society, civilization, and way of life, or you can choose multiculturalism in the form of mass immigration, but you can’t have both. If you want to see what your future looks like if you choose the latter, just turn your attention to Europe.
As Nigel Farage of the UK Independence Party says, “Europe is burning.” You don’t have to make the same mistakes.

Tennesseans urged to sign petition, Governor must hear from the people!

Editor:  This is a guest post by Don Barnett, a fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies and a resident of Tennessee.

If you are from Tennessee, the most important thing you can do is to post this information on your facebook page/other social media, and send to your e-mail lists.
Since the governor is supporting the status quo on refugee resettlement in Tennessee, TN he needs to hear from the people. Be sure to let your other elected officials know how you feel as well.

Barnett:
Don BarnettSupporters of maintaining the status quo in refugee resettlement in Tennessee – that is, allowing the federal contractor to run the program for its own benefit without a requirement that it report refugee social services usage or accurately report the numbers resettled – often point out that refugees pay more in taxes than they consume in benefits, so why all the fuss?

The resettlement program is so little understood and secretive that the contractors can make blatantly false statements and be assured those statements will be reported as fact by the media.

As reported in The Tennessean, the contractor notes that “a 2013 report presented to the Joint Government Operations Legislative Advisory Committee determined that refugees and their descendants provided $1.4 billion in revenue for Tennessee between 1990 and 2012, compared with requiring $753 million in state support.”

Haslam
Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam (R) doesn’t want to rock the boat on refugee flow to TN. Photo: http://www.tennessean.com/story/news/politics/2015/06/30/lawmakers-downplay-obamas-impact-insure-tennessee/29491441/

The 2013 study was actually very limited and makes no such sweeping conclusion.

In assessing the cost of publicly funded benefits for refugees the study looked at just 2 programs – public education (including ELL) and Tenncare(Medicaid). It ignored a whole range of programs which Tennesseans use and fund both with Tennessee tax dollars and as federal tax payers.

Sen. Mark Norris noted that at last count 11 state funded programs were being accessed by arriving refugees.

The study assumed that refugees were using Tenncare (Medicaid) at the same rate as average Tennesseans even though up to 59% of refugees have been placed into Tenncare upon arrival in recent years.

A recent federal study found staggering welfare usage rates even among those in the country for 5 years – majority still on food stamps, 44% on Medicaid, 29 % of families with one or more members on SSI, 17% on TANF and so on.

In spite of known high welfare usage among refugees, the report assumed refugees pay state taxes at the same rate as average Tennesseans.

The study, which was supposed to have determined to what extent the feds had placed an unfunded mandate on the state of Tennessee, was hijacked by the pro-refugee lobby, i.e. the local Chamber of Commerce and refugee contractors.

The seemingly positive outcome of the study was foreordained even though the study authors themselves concluded “The information necessary to complete a comprehensive study on the possible cost shifting from the federal government to the state for the resettlement of refugees is not available.” And even though a complete reading of the study does not allow for any positive conclusion despite refugee industry statements.

Perhaps Tennesseans best hope is passage of senate resolution SJR467 which would allow The Thomas More Law Center to sue the federal government over refugee resettlement on 10th amendment grounds. The public services law center will take the case at no charge to the state of Tennessee. Not only might it shed light on this program, but most importantly it would clarify to what extent, if any, the federal government can force a state to use state taxes to cover unfunded costs imposed by a federal program.

The resolution has overwhelming support in both houses of the Tennessee legislature but has stirred fierce opposition from the usual suspects, including Governor Haslam.

All Tennesseans concerned with this should sign the petition included here http://keeptnsafe.com/petition/ and tell the Governor to stop trying to block the democratic process.

For our extensive Tennessee archive, click here.  See here for background on what the governor is doing.
This political work on-going in Tennessee, on the question of refugee resettlement and states’ rights, is groundbreaking!
