Everybody is pretty jumpy (assume you are watching news about the terrorist take-down in Paris last night), so not exactly sure where this story is going. But, for now, something is very suspicious about these eight arrested in Istanbul a few hours ago. Obama with pal Turkish Pres. Recep Tayyip Erdogan. I would love to know if in their recent meeting Obama had the guts to ask him why his country is allowing the launch of boats that bring ‘refugees’ to Europe by the thousands every day. If Turkey stopped the boats there would be no invaders arriving in Greece!

ISTANBUL (AFP) – Turkish police detained eight suspected members of the Islamic State jihadist (IS) group, state media said Wednesday, adding they were planning to sneak into Europe posing as refugees.
Counter-terror police detained the suspects in Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport after they flew in from the Moroccan city of Casablanca on Tuesday, the official Anatolia news agency reported.
The police found a hand-written note on one of the suspects detailing a migration route from Istanbul to Germany via Greece, Serbia and Hungary, including smuggler boats across the Mediterranean Sea, as well as several train and bus journeys.
The eight men told police that they were just tourists who had been planning to spend a few days in Istanbul and had booked rooms at a hotel, but no reservations were found under their names.
Turkey is the main launching point for migrants coming to Europe, and currently hosts over two million Syrian refugees.

Editor: For new readers, from time to time we post guest columns and comments from readers. All of those are posted in our category entitled, ‘Comments worth noting/guest posts.’ This (below) is very important information from someone who has worked for a refugee resettlement agency and seen firsthand the fraud being perpetrated on American taxpayers. It should serve as further confirmation that the US Refugee Admissions Program has gone seriously astray. From Disillusioned (why I support Rep. Brian Babin’sbill). Prepare to be shocked:
Ann, I started to work five years ago in the refugee resettlement field to serve as a Christian witness through service and assistance. However, I quickly became dismayed as I saw the rampant, but undocumentable, fraud committed by Muslim Iraqi (and Cuban) refugees. While I am sure there must be fraud among other ethnic/religious people groups, Iraqi Muslims are the largest group resettled in my area. The amount of fraudulent income reporting (and non-reporting) by refugee clients is disturbing and fiscally unsustainable.

As your readers (should) know, the Resettlement Accountability National Security Act(H.R. 3314) places an immediate suspension on allowing immigrants into the United States under the refugee resettlement program, until the Government Accountability Office (GAO) completes a thorough examination of its costs on federal, state and local governments.
The following are some of the reasons I support this bill.
Average duration for which refugees receive benefits. – The refugees for whom I apply for state benefits (food stamps, temporary cash assistance, Medicaid) reapply for benefits every six months. The resettlement agency (VOLAG) can assist them with benefit renewal applications for up to five years! Many of these refugees, particularly from Iraq and Afghanistan, come into this country with cash, as evidenced by their purchase of new furniture, clothing, cars, and even homes, within a very short time of their arrival. This could not be done on strictly temporary cash assistance and usually, minimum wage jobs.
It is well known in the resettlement community and by the State of Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Refugee Services that many recipients work for cash, receiving payment “under the table” and never report their actual income to the DCF when reapplying for government benefits. Many of these clients continue to receive food stamps even after they have been here up to and over five years!
The percentage of aliens who receive benefits is 100 percent for resettled refugees. In my job at the VOLAG, I apply for food stamps, temporary aid to needy families (families with children) or refugee cash assistance (singles or couples with no children), and Medicaid. These applications are automatic and are part of the required resettlement core services.
Every refugee who is aged 65 or older automatically receives assistance in applying for SSI benefits! This is automatic, whether the refugee has any presenting issues, other than age, or not! Some refugees under age 65 are turned down after medical reviews do not reveal mental or medical issues. However, refugees aged 65+ are automatically approved for SSI benefits. It is common knowledge among VOLAG coworkers and employees of the DCF that many refugees commit fraud regularly in their (lack of) income reporting. We are aware of this fraud but have no paper documentation or proof. Certain local small grocery stores, convenience stores, ethnic restaurants, Halal meat markets, bakeries, and imported foods stores hire these refugees, pay them under the table, and the refugees continue to receive benefits for which you and I pay.
Here are a couple of other abuses I have personally seen:
A Liberian refugee entered the country legally but managed to get his adult son brought over as a refugee minor to serve as his caretaker. The son has verbally admitted to me that he was over 21 years of age when he arrived in this country but his fraudulent documents showed him to be under 18!
A Cuban couple entered this country with documents which show them as married, however, they verbally stated to their caseworker that they are not married and the “wife” plans to move in with friends. She will continue to receive benefits while her friends support her as she has “no income.”
A Muslim Ethiopian-Somali refugee abruptly quit his job when he found he cannot stop work to pray five times a day!
An Arabic speaking “friend” “translates” the driver’s license test for Arabic speakers in northeast Florida. His “friends” pay over $250 for a driver’s license as he gives the correct answers to them and for them.
RRW readers simply must find the refugee resettlement and immigration events in your city and state and SHOW UP! You need to know what is going on in your area. You need to “push back” and demand answers about the impact this is having on your neighborhoods, local schools, HUD housing, slum lorded apartment complexes, and your local, state and federal government expenses.
Yes, I know and love many good hearted, honest, hardworking immigrants and refugees. From my experiences, most of these come from the persecuted Christian Burmese, Bhutanese, Congolese and Sudanese populations. I have “gone to bat” for them as I’ve tutored in English, taken children to school, doctor appointments, church activities.
I encourage you to volunteer at your local VOLAG and, if you are a Christian, share the love of God in Jesus Christ with them. Whether you are a Christian or not, volunteer to help them assimilate into a free nation built upon Judeo-Christian worldview and values for the sake of your own children and grandchildren!

Breaking news and lead on Drudge just now: Two of the terrorists are refugees who came through Greece, here. The Guardianis reporting the news with a caveat. Chuckles reverberated through the auditorium at Georgetown University Law School on October 29 when UNHCR Guterres explained in detail why it would be ridiculous for a terrorist to infiltrate the migrant flow to Europe…. yuk! yuk! yuk!
The holder of a Syrian passport found near the body of one of the gunmen who died in Friday night’s attacks in Paris passed though Greece in October, a Greek minister told Reuters.
“The holder of the passport passed through the island of Leros on 3 October 2015, where he was identified according to EU rules,” said Nikos Toscas, Greece’s deputy minister in charge of policing.
A Greek police source told Reuters that European countries had been asked to check the passport holder to see if they had been registered.
The Guardian goes on to throw in some weasel words about how they aren’t sure yet that the dead man with the passport was the same man who crossed into Greece only a little over a month ago.
Is Antonio Guterres still laughing?
We told you here five days ago (when we learned of another refugee terrorist) that the UN High Commissioner for Refugees sent titters through the mostly young/naive audience at Georgetown Law school when he answered a questions from Jim Simpson and mocked anyone who fears just that—that terrorists would infiltrate the refugee flow to Europe (and America). ***Correction***It wasn’t in response to one of Jim’s many good questions of the day, but actually at the end of Guterres prepared remarks in which he mocks the idea of terrorists coming in as refugees. Go here to the video of the speech. Go to about the 23:34 mark and listen to about 25:35 and hear him joke about the notion of terrorists in the refugee stream (you cannot hear the audience chuckling as I did sitting there).
We were there and heard it all!

Bush, Kasich and Rubio all said they want MORE refugees. ***Update #2***Mediaite reported on Ann Coulter tweets last night (after Paris): “Donald Trump was elected President tonight,” here. Paris may in fact have been a clarifying moment for many—try to imagine each of the 2016 candidates as President of the US if a similar horror happens here. Who would you wish to be in the Oval Office?

Following the deadly attacks in Paris Friday night, two prominent Republicans have called for the United States to table plans to accept thousands of Syrian refugees, citing terror concerns.
Sen. Ted Cruz wrote in a statement on Friday that the U.S. needs to “immediately declare a halt to any plans to bring refugees that may have been by ISIS to the United States.” Cruz has raised security concerns before about the prospect of accepting more refugees at this point from Syria.
Presidential candidate Ben Carson said in Orlando, Florida, that Congress should act to block the Obama administration’s plan to accept more refugees.
“If we’re going to be bringing 200,000 people over here from that region — if I were one of the leaders of the global jihadist movement and I didn’t infiltrate that group of people with my people, that would be almost malpractice,” Carson said, according to the Washington Post.
Congress can act to block Obama’s Muslim migration plan (refugee resettlement) in just a few weeks as Congress must act by December 11th to fund the government through fiscal year 2016 (this is separate from the dept ceiling issue of just a few weeks ago).
Congress could do its job for once by using the POWER OF THE PURSE to restrain Obama!
***Update*** This is what you should tell Congress to do! Cut the funding! They will pounce on Carson for the 200,000 number, however…..
As for Carson’s mention of the 200,000, note he said “from the region.” It isn’t that high for one year, but Obama was talking about 2016 and 2017 when he said 85,000 refugees this year and 100,000 next year. Don’t forget we are taking tens of thousands of other Muslim refugees from Iraq, Somalia, Burma and Afghanistan in that number as well—it is not just Syrians—from the region.
Consider that you rarely hear of the 30,000 plus coming as asylum seekers annually by first getting across our borders illegally or overstaying a visa and then asking for asylum. Then there is Temporary Protected Status and that astounding monstrosity—the Diversity Visa Lottery—which brings in another 50,000 legal migrants a year, many from countries that hate us! And, we haven’t even mentioned student visas!
So before someone latches (with criticism) on Carson’s high number, demand that the Administration give an accounting of how many Muslim migrants are being admitted legally to the US each year! It is probably approaching 200,000, but no one (on the outside) knows for sure. I was surprised to see that we have already written 91 posts on the 2016 campaign. Without a doubt, immigration is THE issue for 2016!

I’m only seeing this news on the UK Mirrorso far….. Update: Daily Mailsays it was an electrical fire unrelated to Paris slaughter (almost an unbelievable coincidence). By the way, if you are a new reader and wonder why there is a huge migrant camp packed with Middle Easterners and Africans at Calais, those are all supposed ‘asylum seekers’ who aren’t asking for asylum in France because they want asylum in the UK where they think the welfare goodies are better. Thus the many-years-long stalemate. Fire has reportedly broken out at the ‘jungle’ refugee camp in the port of Calais in the hours following the terror attacks in Paris.
At around 11pm volunteers at the camp began sharing pictures of the blaze on social media.
And soon after an anti-migrant group known as ‘The Angry of Calais’ posted videos of the inferno on Facebook.
One video appears to show emergency services vehicles arriving at the camp, which houses around 6,000 migrants – mainly young men from Syria and North Africa.
