Remember the famous line from the Clintonistas: It’s the economy stupid! No, it is immigration stupid! It is the issue of our lifetime, of the century and beyond.
We’ve been reporting on the trouble for the “world’s most powerful woman” for sometime. It is the trouble she brought on herself by opening Germany’s gates to more than a million invaders three years ago and thus creating a magnet for more illegal aliens who necessarily must travel through other countries to reach Merkel’s nirvana.
Merkel’s folly might now (finally) be due for a reckoning and hopefully will serve as a powerful lesson to all political leaders who have a hankering to invite the masses in to a first world country. Invite them and they will come.

Because I’ve been telling you in advance about the pow-wow in Brussels yesterday about the migrant invasion of Europe and what the EU will do about it, I’m compelled to give you an update of the disappointing results.
They talked and talked, indeed they talked all night, and came up with what the NY Times even says is a ‘deal’ with “sketchy” details.

As I mentioned the other day, the issue of the border crossing kids is one I discussed back in the Obama days rather extensively, but the ‘children,’ the mostly unaccompanied teenage boys crossing our borders, are not refugees and so the issue isn’t at the top of my radar screen right now.
And, the subject is ably covered by so many others.
That said, I do get some pleasure out of demonstrating that Leftwing do-gooders, whose hearts bleed for the children, also happen to be raking in big government bucks from you—the US taxpayer—for their good works.
Southwest Key Programs is one example. You can read more about it here at wikipedia . It is largely funded with government grants and contracts.
Reader Mary alerted me to the huge taxpayer-funded salary its President and CEO Juan Sanchez is pulling down. CNN says it is now at $1.5 million.
I find it amusing that now that Trump is in office these outrageous taxpayer supported NGO salaries are suddenly newsworthy.
David Miliband (CEO of another federal contractor—-The International Rescue Committee) is a piker at $671,749.
The most recent Form 990 I could find (tax year ending in August 2016) for Southwest Key Programs is this one from Obama’s time in office—clearly the Obama ORR was shelling out big bucks to care for detained children.
Almost completely government funded….

As we reported last week, a special EU meeting was called for yesterday as the political pressure mounts on German Chancellor Angela Merkel to do something to control the migrant population that continues to grow in Germany. See Merkel between a rock and a hard place in age of ‘Aquarius.’
I’m struck here by the similarity to our situation on the Mexican border where Donald Trump is both trying to stem the flow in to the US, and attempting to kill the catch and release policy of previous presidents (the major pull factor for those gambling on entering the US).
The answer is the same for Europe—stop the in-flow and hold for sorting all those who have gotten in by building detention centers. Sort out legitimate asylum seekers from economic migrants who can be quickly deported.
Don’t let them roam free across Europe!
