Hillary's Libyan legacy still responsible for invasion of Europe as Italy panics

Invasion of Europe news….
I’m not going to let you all forget that it was Hillary and her girls who were responsible for the overthrow of Libyan strongman Muammar Ghaddafi that resulted in the opening of the flood gates from Africa to Europe for tens of thousands of mostly economic migrants from the heart of Africa to countries like Italy geographically on the frontline of the invasion.
Even Obama didn’t have the stomach for the slaughter of Ghaddafi.  I followed the whole sorry tale from its earliest days here at RRW.

Susan Rice, Hillary and Samantha Power. Hillary admitted that in 2011 Obama was reluctant to follow Europe’s lead and get involved in Libya, but that she marshaled the forces (including Susan Rice and Samantha Power) to persuade Obama to help overthrow Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. Ultimately, she said, it was the President’s decision thereby tossing blame back on Obama when the results of her actions have proven so disastrous. https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2015/10/23/hillary-and-the-girls-are-to-blame-for-libyan-hellhole-european-invasion/

Of course the Europeans made that fatal mistake in the earliest days of the invasion by not turning back (using safe methods) the first boats that were launched from the Libyan coast. Now they rescue each one sending a signal to people smugglers to keep ’em coming!

Here is the latest news from Middle East Monitor:

Italy panics as North Africa migrants surge

Italy will host a meeting between European and North African countries next week in a bid to strengthen support for an agreement it struck with Libya to fight people smuggling as migrant arrivals surge.

The prime minister of the UN-backed government in Tripoli, Fayez Al-Seraj, will meet with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni and interior ministers from eight European countries including Germany and France on Monday.

Last month, Italy pledged money, training and equipment to help Libya fight people smugglers, a deal that was endorsed by European Union member states.

But Libya is still far from stable. Two governments are vying for power – in Tobruk to the east and Tripoli to the west – and the country remains mired in factional fighting and lawlessness.

The authorities in eastern Libya have rejected the deal struck between Rome and Tripoli.

“I’m not so naive as to not understand the situation there,” Italian Interior Minister Marco Minniti told reporters. “But we cannot remain immobile and wait for the country to stabilise.”

He said the Libya agreement and next week’s meeting were not just “talk”, but strategic steps toward managing mass migration to Europe.

So far this year more than 16,000 migrants – a 36 per cent increase on the same period last year – have been rescued at sea and brought to Italy after Libya-based people smugglers piled them onto flimsy boats.

Don’t miss Hillary cackling about her success in killing Gaddafi. She looks like an absolute loon here:

Another version of Hillary’s  looney laugh, is here. Don’t you think it might be too early for her to come out of the woods!

Flow chart for refugee admissions shows where Trump team could downsize program with funding cuts

Editor: This is a post (updated for today) that I wrote nearly two years ago, but yesterday when a reader needed some information, I was reminded of it.  I think it is very useful for our thousands of new readers.
I found this flow chart (below) this morning (April 11, 2015) while researching my earlier Texas post and thought it might be useful for all of you asking what the steps are for refugees to enter the US.

President Trump and Sec. of State Tillerson have several ways to ‘skin the cat’ on refugees through funding cuts!

Pay attention to the fact that the ORR chart lists war as a reason one could be a refugee, but in fact war itself is not a trigger for the internationally understood definition of “refugee” which says one must be PERSECUTED (and prove it!).   Here (below) is the definition of refugee (the word “war” is not mentioned).

Obama bastardizing the refugee definition!

It should be noted that ‘economic migrants,’ or people fearing crime in their home country, are also NOT refugees, but Obama is further bastardizing the definition to include the “children” from Central America!  ***Update*** we have admitted over a thousand phony ‘refugees’ from Central American countries in only the first 5 months of FY2017.
From Geneva Academy:
The Definition of a Refugee

International legal protection of refugees centres on a person meeting the criteria for refugee status as laid down in the 1951 Refugee Convention. Under Article 1(A)2, the term “refugee” shall apply to any person who:

“…owing to well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, is outside the country of his nationality and is unable or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail himself of the protection of that country; or who, not having a nationality and being outside the country of his former habitual residence as a result of such events, is unable or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to return to it.”

Thus, according to this provision, refugees are defined by three basic characteristics:

* they are outside their country of origin or outside the country of their former habitual residence;

* they are unable or unwilling to avail themselves of the protection of that country owing to a well-founded fear of being persecuted; and

* the persecution feared is based on at least one of five grounds: race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinion.

It is important to stress that the term “asylum seekers” refers to persons, who have applied for asylum, but whose refugee status has not yet been determined.

See that the UN High Commissioner for Refugees controls the intake! By cutting funding for the UNHCR, President Trump can moderate that intake.
Besides the UNHCR, the federal contractors (VOLAGs), which monopolize the program, also control one of the steps. By cutting their many ridiculous grants—like hundreds of thousands of dollars for refugees to plant gardens—the Trump Admin. can also shrink the program. The VOLAGs simply can’t raise enough private money to function well—to function at all! Why is that? Because the public isn’t interested enough to open their private wallets!
They could also limit the number of USCIS officers sent out around the world to do the in-processing.
The bottomline is that I don’t know why on earth Trump had to flag the Refugee Admissions Program in the travel pause Executive Order. So much more could have been done behind-the-scenes. (See also my discussion yesterday on the ‘ceiling’ here)
From the Office of Refugee Resettlement:
(Be sure to see that mention in last step about timing, “varies by circumstance”!  No mention of 18-24 months!)

Why do we take any 'refugees' from Russia? Are they even legitimate refugees?

Who are the 47 non-Russians (processed through Russia) that were brought to America in the first 5 months of this fiscal year?

I hope to write more posts on the issue of Processing Country asking why we process refugees in from places where clearly the definition of a refugee is being stretched to something unrecognizable!
(LOL! Since Russia is in the news every day, I’m starting with Russia***).
Legitimate refugees are supposed to have left the country from which they have been persecuted and ask for asylum in the first safe country they arrive in, so what is this business of taking Russian nationals from within Russia? Or, others who got there looking for asylum?
Longtime readers know I have been asking about the Malta scam for years (yes, I will call it a scam) where we take illegal aliens off the hands of the Maltese government for no apparent good reason. (Malta archive here). And, then, not to be overlooked, there is the South Africa ‘refugee’ express to America! And, why are we processing refugees to the US from Israel???
I’ve told you about the Processing Country data at Wrapsnet previously, here.
Each month (of the present fiscal year) the Refugee Processing Center updates the information on those pages for the previous months of the fiscal year.  Therefore, available now is the data from October 1, 2016 to February 28, 2017 (5 months of FY17).  Click here.

Today I was interested in the fact that we processed in to the US 273 ‘refugees’ from Russia in those 5 months.
Of course for years we took tens of thousands from the Communist Soviet Union, but why now?
When one uses other data at Wrapsnet for those same 5 months we see that of the 273, 226 were Russian nationals.
Who are the other 47 ‘refugees’ we took off Russia’s hands in the last 5 months and why are they our problem?  (Why are any of the 273 our problem for that matter?)
Of the 226 Russian nationals, we clearly had a ‘religious’ test! The top religions of the 226 included 95 Baptists, 68 Pentecostals, and 30 Jews. (We have been perverting the refugee definition for decades with the Lautenberg Amendment).
More troubling to me is: Who are the 47 individuals who got to Russia and are then processed in to the US? Are they from Syria, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq or elsewhere? Were they thoroughly vetted? And, again, why are they our responsibility???
Holy moly!  I just looked up Afghanistan and see that we admitted 988 Afghan refugees in those 5 months! Only 18 were processed in from Afghanistan.  Where in the world were the other 970? Were a few in Russia? Think about it! How thoroughly vetted is an Afghan ‘refugee’ who has wandered to another country!
Russia only takes a tiny number of refugees, see here.  But, I repeat, why is anyone from Russia our problem today?

I sure hope the Trump people in charge of the US Department of State know about all of the perversion of the definition of refugees going on around the world!

***People trying to escape poverty (poor economic conditions) or violence from criminal activity are not legitimate refugees!  A refugee must be able to claim they would be persecuted for their political views, race, religion etc. When you look at the Processing Country map link, here, ask yourselves why on earth are we processing ‘refugees’ from countries with stable governments (in addition to Russia) like Austria, El Salvador, Cuba, Malaysia, South Africa, and ISRAEL (among others!)?

Trump travel ban could help Canada

This was an interesting little nugget buried in an otherwise mundane news report.

trump-and-trudeau
Trump’s travel ban will aid Canada. The boy and the man photo from http://nymag.com/selectall/2017/02/justin-trudeau-stares-at-trumps-hand-before-handshake.html

It seems that some of those migrants from the Middle East and Africa, trying to get in to Canada across our northern border, actually intended to get to Canada anyway by first obtaining visas to travel to the US.
Here is the story at Arab News:

The recent wave of migrants to Canada originated mostly from East Africa and war-torn nations such as Syria.

[….]

Federal police and immigration officials said some refugees appeared to have intended from the start to come to Canada after flying to the US on a visitor visa.

Failed asylum seekers are illegal aliens!

Others decided to come only after they were denied asylum south of the border, or because they feared deportation amid the current US crackdown. [Trump should be able to bring those numbers down by DETAINING those who failed to be granted asylum! They shouldn’t be wandering loose around the US anyway!—ed]

From Jan. 1 to Feb. 21, a total of about 4,000 people filed refugee claims in Canada, up from 2,500 during the same period last year.

The figure includes border jumpers and those arriving from the US at border checkpoints.

Local officials say at least 180 asylum-seekers have crossed the border near Emerson since January.

So, if Trump’s expected new EO does ban travel for a time from 6 or 7 mostly Muslim countries, less should be getting in to the US on a false pretense, and consequently less would be heading to Canada from here. Right?
Here are a few of our previous posts on the latest buzz on the Canadian border. Here is another one.

Maine: Sudanese refugee pleads guilty in 2015 murder of teen

This is a diversity is beautiful alert!

A variety of migrants had a shoot-out in Portland, ME in 2015 and the result was that one young man (believed not to have known the shooters) died.

nancy-laxson
Nancy Laxson with a photo of her son murdered by Majok. Photo and 2015 story here: http://www.pressherald.com/2015/07/27/portland-police-make-second-arrest-in-old-port-killing/

Before I give you the story (thanks to reader Frank), you must know that anyone granted asylum, as was the case with this Sudanese killer, is then considered a refugee and all of the protections, and welfare goodies that refugees we flew in on your dime receive, are also available to the successful asylum seeker.
To have been granted asylum, Majok arrived in the US on his own and convinced federal authorities that he would be persecuted if returned to Africa. (#ThisIsARefugee)
When you read through stories about him, see here for example, you see that he had several run-ins with law enforcement over the years.  I would like to know in what year he was granted asylum (before or after his criminal activities began?).
(Reminder: Sudan is one of 7 countries on Trump’s earlier ‘travel ban’ EO.)
From the Portland Press Herald:

Gang Deng Majok pleaded guilty to murder Friday in the shooting death of Treyjon Arsenault, the 19-year-old Westbrook High School graduate who was gunned down inside a Portland recording studio on Memorial Day weekend in 2015.

Screenshot of photo of admitted murderer Majok. I left the ad from one of the nine major refugee contractors (the IRC) in my shot. You probably get these ads popping up wherever you go on the internet too! http://wgme.com/news/local/sudanese-immigrant-pleads-guilty-in-portland-recording-studio-murder

Majok, who was sentenced to 30 years by Justice Andrew M. Horton, agreed to change his plea rather than risk a trial.

Arsenault’s mother, Nancy Laxson of Scarborough, said she struggled with the decision to pursue the plea agreement, but is now relieved to see the sentencing completed before Sunday, which would have been Arsenault’s 21st birthday.

[….]

Laxson also was critical of authorities for not deporting Majok, a Sudanese national who had been granted asylum and had pleaded guilty to a string of misdemeanors.

It was not immediately clear whether someone with asylum status could be deported after being convicted of a misdemeanor. Majok will be subject to deportation after he completes his sentence for Arsenault’s murder.

[….]

According to authorities, Majok and one of Majok’s associates, Johnny Ouch of Westbrook, got into an argument with Mohamed Ali, a longtime rival of Ouch. [Was Mohamed a Somali?—ed]

The argument escalated and Majok and Ouch started shooting, according to Ouch’s attorney.

Many more details here.
We have a huge archive on Maine, click here. BTW, Maine attracts a lot of asylum seekers due to the structure of its welfare program. The Gov was trying to change that awhile back, but not sure if he did.
