House passes immigration bills late last night; Bishops blast!

The first thing this morning I see a Washington Post story on what happened in the House last night as the Republicans went on record with two votes to stem the “crisis” on the border.  I’ll post commentary later from those who know what happened perhaps better than the Washington Post.

Money-grubbing Bishop Eusebio Elizondo: Lord! Grant us OUR federal cash. (You represent the low point in our country!)

Here is the news I’m seeing at 5 a.m.  Of course, we all know that since the Senate had adjourned and what the House passed is anathema to Obama, this isn’t going anywhere.

There are a couple of snippets from the Post worth noting:

The bills would provide emergency funding to deal with the crisis, speed the deportations of most border-crossers and rescind President Obama’s authority to decide whether to deport certain illegal immigrants.

The votes held late Friday — a rare occurrence any time of the year on Capitol Hill — capped a week of turmoil in the GOP ranks prompted by fierce opposition from the party’s conservative members to doing anything that could be perceived as an endorsement of Obama’s current immigration policy.

The collapse of the original border security plan offered by House GOP leaders was a triumph for conservatives in the Republican caucus, who saw it as a high point in their troubled relationship with Boehner and his more centrist leadership team.

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), one of those conservatives, described the retreat by Boehner as one of the highlights of her career, because the leadership was forced to mostly capitulate to the conservative demands.

“Leadership knew they couldn’t pass their bill,” Bachmann said, and as a result were forced to agree to revisions offered by tea party members, led by Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), a vocal opponent of Obama’s immigration policy….

Ultimately, members voted 223 to 189 to approve $694 million in additional funding for federal agencies dealing with the influx of immigrants — a sum far lower than Obama’s original $3.7 billion request. The bill would tweak a 2008 anti-trafficking law and make it easier for the government to deport Central American minors who have entered the United States illegally. It also would provide $35 million to border-state governors, who would be given broader legal authority to deploy the National Guard.

For me, this is the part of the story that makes my blood boil!   Shame on the Bishops! (and the Post).

How dare the US Conference of Catholic Bishops lecture about morality and “American values” when their “immigration” work is almost completely funded with your tax dollars (with Caesar’s silver) and they are too conniving to admit it.

In a sharply worded statement, Bishop Eusebio Elizondo of Seattle, who leads the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ work on immigration issues, called passage of the legislation “a low point for our country. It eviscerates American values of justice and due process and stains our record as a defender of human rights globally.”

How dare they speak of “American values of justice” when they receive federal money (your money) for every refugee they resettle and every illegal alien they house, but never tell the public the truth!

And, shame on the Washington Post and other mainstream media for not figuring out (or refusing to report) who exactly fills Bishop Elizondo’s church coffers!

That is roughly the title of an article earlier this week at the Canada Free Press by Judi McLeod (hat tip: Jim)

The Catholic Church—through the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Migration—both paved the road for Barack Hussein Obama’s ultimate takeover of Free West society and continues to actively enable the Fundamental Transformation of America by sinking the US in a tsunami of illegal aliens.

In coming to Obama’s aid in erasing forever America’s borders, the bishops sold the USA out, including its Catholics, for the proverbial 30 pieces of silver.

In biblical terms, Obama and the Catholic bishops—who both birthed his progress to the seat of power and back him on his Fundamental Transformation mission—are in in league with the devil. The certain-to-come protestations of the bishops should fall on the same deaf ears they use to shun all pleas of mercy from Americans overwhelmed by invaders in their home towns and cities.

How dare these phony paragons of the pulpit ascribe to our Savior the manufactured invasion of America by millions of U.S. government made-to-order ‘refugees’?

It’s a crock that the bishops are saving illegal aliens rushing the U.S. border based on lofty claims of altruism or charity, when they are doing it for power and filthy lucre…..

Read all of it!   McLeod apparently doesn’t know all of it—how much money is really going directly to the Bishops for “migration” from the federal government, 98% here— but she has enough.

Then Jim also directed us to Ann Barnhardt here with the Bernardin-Alinsky-Obama Nexus which springboards off the McLeod piece and reiterates the history of the Catholic Churches’ involvement with Alinsky and ultimately Obama something we had written about here (among several posts) in 2009  when we were doing a lot of reading and research on Alinsky and his teachings and how he influenced Obama.

Our “community destabilization” category is so-named as a direct response to what the anti-borders Leftists were (and still are) up to with the mass importation of impoverished people.  Throw in the Cloward-Piven strategy and the blueprint that Obama is following is all there.

Simply put, Socialists (Communists?) Cloward and Piven said in order to bring on the revolution and bring down the government, one must flood the system (bring chaos—Alinsky) with impoverished people causing the welfare system to crash and as a result a new order (new form of government) would come of it.  My theory is that they were running out of poor Americans so they are bringing in the third-worlders.  That is all good for them since a borderless world is nirvana to the schemers.

Every time you see some establishment Republican say Obama isn’t doing anything, you can bet he and Valerie ‘Rasputin’ Jarrett are laughing their heads off as they jet from fund raiser to fund raiser.

(Jarrett said that Obamacare and Immigration would be Obama’s greatest achievements!)

Most NPs have fatter salaries and greater perks than you ever find in the comparable private sector companies. Looks like this NP was in on and profiting from Obama’s “transformation of America” since the get-go.

Southwest Key Programs went from receiving just $670,800 in federal grants in 2008 to $31 million in 2009, Obama’s first year in office, according to the Office of Management and Budget’s online database. So far this year, it has received $122.3 million from the Health and Human Services Department’s Office of Refugee Resettlement.

. . .Critics say the nonprofit’s success at securing federal money shows that the Obama administration knew about the growing problem of unaccompanied minors for years and did not take appropriate action to address the issue.

. . .Southwest Key Programs also has close ties to a national immigration advocacy group which has a complicated relationship with the White House. The nonprofit shares two officers with the board of directors for the National Council of La Raza,*** the largest Latino advocacy group and the most aggressive in pushing Obama to curb deportations of illegal immigrants.

Dr. Juan Sanchez, who serves as president of Southwest Key Programs and made a salary of $338,000 in that role in 2012, is the uncompensated secretary of the board of La Raza, according to forms the organizations are required to file with the IRS. Anselmo Villereal, who serves on Southwest Key Programs’ board of directors, is the uncompensated treasurer for the Council.

They aren’t just all poor Central American “children”

This news is not new to us, we have many posts written over the years about illegal aliens caught coming across the US border from countries that have spawned terrorists, who then seek asylum and often get it.  Earlier reports indicate that they travel great distances, some through Russia, then to Cuba and on to Central America and Mexico before reaching the US border—very expensive trips.

The first logical question we should ask is how in the hell did these supposedly poor “refugees” get all that much money?  Someone is paying for the invasion!

In January 2011, I suggested a Congressional investigation of who is helping them from the US end (the NGOs?), here, but I guess our dear leaders in Washington are too busy with other things to listen to me and others!—what could be more important than our safety and our sovereignty?  (LOL!  I was pretty laughably naive in that 2011 post!)

MCALLEN, Texas—A single group of illegal aliens entering Texas from Mexico over the weekend included foreign nationals from Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, according to the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC). The group crossed into the Rio Grande Valley sector from Tamaulipas, Mexico.

“One group of our agents apprehended individuals from Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka,” said Albert Spratte, a spokesman for Local 3307 of the NBPC. “Everyone in this group was an adult male. They entered on Saturday, July 26, 2014. Our agents apprehended them, they did not turn themselves in. They were trying to sneak in.”

Breitbart News previously reported on foreign nationals coming from Asia, the Middle East, and terror-prone nations from the Horn of Africa—often entering Central America and utilizing the same pathways and smuggling networks as Central Americans and Mexicans who illegally enter the United States. That report was based on information from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. Spratte said, “Border Patrol agents in our sector have in the past apprehended aliens from Iraq, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Israel, and from many other nations. People think this is just about Mexico and Central America, but it isn’t. People from all over the world are trying to sneak into the United States.”

Bangladesh is filled with agitated Muslims especially the Rohingya people (we have 174 posts here on the Rohingya) and most of the Sri Lankans trying to get into first-world countries are associated with Tamil Tigers.

Clearly all these OTMs (other than Mexicans) see an opportunity right now with the border chaos Obama has created.

Congress flooded with calls today to stop the Obama amnesty

If you didn’t participate in melting the phone lines on Monday, it’s not too late—call your elected officials in Washington tomorrow.  If you miss tomorrow whack them on Wednesday!

Senator Jeff Sessions: “They will get louder in the coming days.”

The American people have risen up in response to a rallying cry from Sens. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) and Ted Cruz (R-TX), overloading the phone lines on Capitol Hill to pressure their members of Congress to fight against President Obama’s planned executive amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.

“I was on hold with the Capitol Hill switchboard about a minute or so each time I called my Representative and my two Senators,” Catharine Trauernicht, a Tea Party activist in Virginia, told Breitbart News Monday. “Typically, my calls are answered right away, but I always know that citizens have sprung into action when the switchboard recording comes on and says, ‘All of our operators are assisting other callers at this time.’”

When called by Breitbart News Monday at about 1:30 p.m., the Capitol Hill switchboard line was similarly busy.

“This shows the American people are going to resist,” a Sessions aide told Breitbart News. “The crescendo will grow. They are only beginning to be heard. They will get louder in the coming days.”

The calls are coming in response to Sen. Sessions, who last week asked the American people to rise up and pressure their elected leaders to stop the president from moving forward with any new executive amnesty. Obama has already granted executive amnesty to upwards of 800,000 illegal aliens through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program which was initiated in 2012, and this year Obama is threatening to expand DACA to five to six million illegal aliens.

“The American people have begged and pleaded for years for our laws to be enforced,” Sessions said in his statement calling for the American people to rise up.

Last spring and summer, Senator Jeff Sessions was the leading voice in opposition to the infamous “Gang of Eight” amnesty bill ultimately passed by the Senate.  Here we especially made note when he called-out the meatpackers who lobby for cheap immigrant labor.  They are especially interested in refugees—subsidized by your tax dollars.
